Why dont you try to perform an electrolysis with high voltage, low current to see what happens? Please post the results of the experiment and the differences with classic electrolysis.
Because I'm not the one making extraordinary claims. You want people to take you seriously, you do the experiment, then show us.

2303  Economy / Speculation / Re: Counter to "Why Bitcoin is dropping ...buying." AMA format / doomsday debunked on: January 05, 2015, 08:03:02 AM
I see the spreading of a lot of misinformation in the thread referenced above and in these forums - info that is either based on incorrect premises or a misunderstanding about how the financial system works in the United States.
So? We've got people here who believe in perpetual motion machines; that the world is being controlled by Jews, lizards, and/or Jewish lizards; that aliens walk among us; that humans can survive without food; and IPU knows what other nonsense. The Speculation forum in particular attracts many people who don't understand how financials markets work or even basic economics for that matter. These people are immune to basic logic, and I doubt you'll be able to convince them of anything, though you're of course welcome to try.

I didn't even bother reading the thread you're referring to, as the whole premise is ridiculous on its face and really not worth responding to at all.

I work in the financial investment industry and want to clear things up so that people do not scare you into buying into their own agenda.  So what I want to do is debunk some of these misconceptions with facts, not opinions or theories, about how our financial system works in the United States.
If you think that'll help.

So please, ask me anything or tell me why you think the US is "going bankrupt" or the Federal Reserve "prints money" or fiat is dead or petrodollar or the implosion of the dollar, and I will respond.
I can't speak for the rest of the forum, but I don't think any of those things, except perhaps for the implosion of the dollar. Though I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon, of course, or that it'll be so sudden that nothing can be done about it when it happens.

To start things out I can start by saying that the United States is not bankrupt or anything close to it.  A nation which can print its own currency, tax output and has no foreign-denominated debt can never go bankrupt.  The national debt will never be paid down nor does it need to be and this is not a problem.  The government could issue only very short government debt and essentially controls the interest it pays on its own debt, if it were to ever become a problem.
This is Economics 101. Tell us something we don't already know.

The errors in theory of relativity are hilarious! LOL !!!
Yet somehow these "errors" don't seem to affect the accuracy of the GPS system, or gravitational lensing, or the orbit of Mercury, or any of the numerous experiments proving relativity. Explain that.

Yes, the equation is

watts = volts x amps

if there is current. If there is not current the equation is

watts = volts
That equation is as nonsense as mass = time. The units are different. Now, if it was watts = volts x some constant that is independent of current, that would at least not be nonsense, but it predicts that heat will be emitted by a circuit in which no current is flowing, which is obviously false. If you wish people to think you are not completely retarded, please provide an actual, working, electric circuit that produces heat without current flowing through it.

Read about Maxwell’s original equations: http://www.gsjournal.net/h/papers_download.php?id=3889
The errors in that document are so numerous and elementary that they would embarrass a high-school physics student, which isn't surprising given its source. Are you going to respond to my challenge or not?

Is there a technical indicator based on the amount of assholes popping up? If there is, it must be reaching new highs.
While the Generalised Asshole Proportionality Exponent has historically been inversely correlated with price, most experienced traders have found that assholes follow price rather than vice versa, so it is not a very useful indicator. Smiley
2307  Other / Off-topic / Re: I know there is no such thing as 'free energy' but what if it was possible? on: January 04, 2015, 12:52:39 PM
The current is not necessary to create power. Voltage (aether) is power itself.
Then Joule's first law and Maxwell's equations (and hence the entirety of electrodynamics) are wrong. Please present a new set of electrodynamic laws that both:

a) makes accurate predictions about the behaviour of actual electromagnetic systems, which have been studied in detail and found to be consistent with the currently understood laws of physics; and
b) predicts the production of power using voltage without current. Please also present experimental evidence confirming this prediction.

If you are unable to do so, I will be forced to conclude you are either stupid or trolling.
2308  Other / Off-topic / Re: I know there is no such thing as 'free energy' but what if it was possible? on: January 04, 2015, 10:41:02 AM
Wrong. Tesla transformers are not electromagnetic devices.
In that case, explain how they work in old radio transmitters (which clearly require electromagnetic effects).

They use radiant shockwaves,
Explain how these radiant shockwaves work.

and produce pure voltage without current.
On second thought, why bother? Voltage without current (or vice versa, as can be achieved with superconductors) means no power, and hence no energy. What good does that do?
2309  Other / Off-topic / Re: I know there is no such thing as 'free energy' but what if it was possible? on: January 04, 2015, 09:54:34 AM
Voltage rises with each inch of coil surface. It is over unity.
Current drops in the same proportion. It is balanced.

Well, I've emailed PiratePoint (the domain registrant), since they're apparently the last people to successfully communicate with them, telling them to relay my messages to them. It's a long shot, but it's literally the only contact information I have. If I don't get a satisfactory response, I think I can safely say I've been scammed.
2312  Other / Off-topic / Re: I know there is no such thing as 'free energy' but what if it was possible? on: January 04, 2015, 02:37:49 AM
Extra volts means extra kilowatts.
No, extra volts at the same current means extra power. A Tesla coil (or, indeed, any transformer) reduces current in proportion to the voltage increase, so the output power is exactly equal to the input power minus power lost due to inefficiencies.

(voltage = aether).
No. No, it isn't.

Even if it's a doll, it's still pedophilia, don't do it.
That's ridiculous. By that logic, I've committed bestiality.

Yeah, it's working now. Guess the universe isn't going to be destroyed after all. How disappointing. Sad

Or maybe the universe did get destroyed by my non-existence, and this is a parallel universe in which I do exist. Of course, since we can't interact with the original universe, there's no way to prove this, so people will just have to take me at my word that I destroyed the universe. So the legend goes.
2316  Other / Off-topic / Re: Think You Are A Genius? Solve This: on: January 02, 2015, 08:45:10 AM
Boy, an old problem in different words.
Don't expect that only geniuses can solve this one.

My question to ya:
A clerk in the butcher shop is 3' 13'' tall. He has a pet cat. He is wearing ordinary clothes. What does he weigh?

Ca. 72 kg.
He's 3' 13" tall (4' 1"). At 72 kg, that would make him a morbidly obese dwarf, and therefore unable to wear ordinary clothes. Roll Eyes

Obese or not, as a clerk in a butcher shop, he weighs meat.
2317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Problem compiling with all autogen.sh type wallets. on: January 02, 2015, 06:16:05 AM
I've looked through the config.log that isn't showing any serious errors.
What is a "serious" error? I was under the impression that an error of any seriousness will cause configure to abort without producing a makefile.

This has made a little progress, the bitcoind and the bitcoin-qt files are now appearing in the coin-name/src directory but I can't click to run them as it appears they are not executable.  They will however run from the terminal.
Some file managers do not use the executable flag to determine if a particular file is executable, instead they attempt to determine the file format, which seems to fail on certain types of ELF binaries, with the file manager thinking the executable is instead a shared library, despite the flags. This is a bug which should be reported to developers of the file manager in question (if it isn't already reported).
2318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Winklevoss ETF update, what does this mean? on: January 02, 2015, 05:58:43 AM
Who would then hold the majority vote in company matters?
At the risk of stating the obvious, nobody. The company administering the ETF is not publicly traded, and shares in the ETF are not shares in the company.
2319  Other / Meta / Re: Need help with a ban. on: January 02, 2015, 01:56:04 AM
Looking at the last 3 pages of your posts, exactly all of your posts are exactly one sentence.
That's highly misleading, as those are just the posts that weren't deleted, ie, they're the best of the best. I remember a lot of his single-sentence posts weren't even remotely on-topic, and some were just complete nonsense. I'm surprised he wasn't banned sooner.

Bornil, you fully deserved to be banned and it's no use acting surprised about it.
