@aysg76

What specifically is $RLB? Looking thru coingecko, is that Relbit (RLB) ? If yes, then I think it's odd to use a token that isn't even listed to mainstream cryptocurrency exchange as a reward for their NFT holder? Even the circulating supply is unknown.

Still, adopting NFT for a variety of purposes highlights the importance of NFTs in web 3, which many people are clamoring for all across the internet.
You doubt has been already be resolved by @arallmuus and the coin you have come across is not the tokens of Rollbit as they are RLB tokens on Solana blockchain. They are not listed on coingecko at the moment but if you want to find out some more details about them here check this blog for your help : RLB airdrop

The benefits are to nft holders and through the lottery system but yes you can't sell them outside but still good use case for gambling on Rollbit only.
2303  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: January 28, 2022, 08:00:35 AM
Yes, any appreciation is better than none. Take me for example. I've taken part in every RooBet art contest, and I've never won a single prize. But the process of creating something which can be called "art" is so pleasant that I participate in another contest, and then in another one. Now I know from my past experience that getting any money prize is highly unlikely for me, so I'm saying to my wife "I hope to earn some merit with it, at least". And I mean it. I value merits a lot, and I feel really happy when getting them. Smiley
I have also learned graphic designing a little but have not participated in roobet art contests but planning on for the upcoming one.Whenever i create something it gives me immense feeling of joy but the more happiness comes whenever someone appreciate it in any format whether merit on forum or other way in personal.

You should definitely participate in the upcoming ones. From my experience, and I was carefully examining every entry in each Roobet Art Contest, professionally made artworks always have good chances of winning a prize(or even two). That doesn't imply that complete amateurs like myself shouldn't try to participate, though. I believe some times it's enough to just make the grand jury smile with your work, and the prize is yours. Smiley Now I'm intrigued to see your art submission to the contest. Hope we'll have another one soon.
Yeah planning on to take some extra time during the upcoming art event on roobet to give my small entry but not so sure that i can manage during that time or not.But will try my full to submit atleast one entry as the rules say you can submit two different artworks.Yes sometimes a simple artwork could be more impressive than a more advanced one as it depends on team whose art they like the most and yes will try my best to come up with something good in upcoming one to intrigue you Cheesy
2304  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Start In Crypto Without Investment on: January 28, 2022, 07:46:12 AM
I think airdrops too can be a nod to start a cryptocurrency business without involving your own money ,also with bounty hunting but for hunting you have to work for it you invest your time. The disadvantage in hunting is you may wait for ever to receive your reward and some tokens won't be listed. Airdrops too have its problem because I'm yet to see someone gaining from it
You are contradicting your statement like you said airdrops are one way of starting with crypto and then you said yet to see someone gaining from it so there seems lack of clarity in this statement.

Airdrops were one of the common way of gaining coins in past days and in 2017 it was at peak during the ICO run but it turned out to be scam ones more than the legit ones in the market.Through these airdrops the personal information is at risk and you will get some fake tokens that might not get listed at all on ang exchange so what's the fun of going through all of this shit? Then even if it's listed you get to see whales dumping them as soon as it's listed so you lose all the funds at negligible value. They are the worst way to start with crypto according to me and same is bounty hunters.Avoid them and try some other ways which will pay you less but will surely pay you.

2307  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Institutional investors changing the Bitcoin price behaviour? on: January 27, 2022, 12:36:04 PM
I don't think so that's the reason for the current price dips as the whole market is in red and you can't say that's manipulation. In actual there were huge investments during the last year and people invested their surplus funds or say funds they need in crypto market and btc for profits but now they are withdrawing them but the conditions again hyped by panic sellers. The alt holders have also the same faith but institutions have nothing to do with it.There are equal investment by retail investors also in bitcoin if you look at the charts but yes big players have started to invest more from two to three years in bitcoin and they can invest big amounts easily compared to retail. Here is proof for the same :

Although the involvement of institutions have grown in Bitcoin market cap but still the major portion lies with the retail and they can't manipulate the market easily so for me there are other reasons for this and it will be over soon and prices will be going up.

OP, after reading your post I'm just left scratching my head and wondering....who are "they"?  You've ascribed some very specific characteristics to "them" (like trigger happiness), but for the life of me I can't think of what big institutional investors are essentially gambling on bitcoin as you seemingly suggest.
The big institutions investors are only one or two who are playing big on bitcoin and we are familiar with them as always and these whom @OP is referring to have btc in their treasury reserves but can't think of some price manipulation by them. Here are some of the institutional investors i am aware about holds btc on their balance sheet :

Out of them only MicroStrategy is the one who is going on for investment at dips on regular basis and those who follow Saylor and btc news know this fact and they holds around 122k btc which is huge amount but if you check out in detail you would find out that they have bought them at average prices which are slightly more than the current rate.Other institutions have not invested for quite a time like Tesla or Sqaure and one time holding.

Saylor is true btc enthusiast and personally also holds more than 17k btc worth more than $600 million at this time also so see his company profits as well. The rest big institutional players he have in mind i don't know about it.

I have to laugh at everyone who's using the word "manipulation" or variations thereof.  It's funny how that word vanishes from everyone's vocabulary when bitcoin is rocketing upward, and if anyone thinks there's manipulation going on in a bull market they're certainly not complaining about  it.
The current price dump like situations may be weird for many and they might be having numerous reasons for this as this time China can't also be balmed for anything as no new FUD from them. The btc manipulation is not at all easy as you need billion dollar investment and liquidation position to move the prices and institutions investing in it should do the reverse which is price boost but that's not happening at all. They will slowly move upwards as little sign of improvement will mark the new surge in them.

There is another NFT that Rollbit has acquired at this time for the holders of which they can take additional benefits :

Quote
The 4th collection we're investing in is @FurballsNFT😸

We bought 5, which can now be won on our NFT marketplace for a fraction of the price!

Holders get the following benefits when they deposit their Furball:
- 4,000 $RLB 🪙
- $40 Bonus Balance🤑

👉 https://t.co/heUIVIcbbr https://t.co/bBceTx0GIV

You could see on open sea about the nft and the current floor is also at 0.8ETH which is cool and Rollbit players could have a chance to get them through Rollbit and make more profits.

Opensea link : https://opensea.io/collection/furballs-com-official

Just check it out guys Wink

The CoinBureau dude gives altcoins too much attention but he also has Bitcoin-related content among those hundreds of videos he has created. And I have seen him criticize coins and their teams for lack of transparency, unverifiable claims, and other things.
He is running YouTube channel and he makes videos on most of the coins in the market and altcoins as well but you could see his insta account is mostly familiarise with bitcoin related memes in which he shows his direct support to the bitcoin over fiat and altcoins.I have watched his trading guides also and he gives really good advice but still we need to have our mind opens and DYOR is main factor that can't be ignored at all.

Like he has 1.91M subs on YouTube and over 600 videos and they cover almost every topic like DeFi, crypto trading, altcoins, exchange, taxation,NFT and other crypto related stuff but that's fine until he is giving out full information and disclosure of every fact to the general audience who doesn't have any idea about the the topic he is making the video. He has been recommended on forum by some high rank members also and sometimes i watch his videos whenever i need some new information and then research about it later on.

And with his 131k followers on insta he is casually roaming around putting forward some memes and few informative posts also but you can see btc related stuff more like it's the best thing. So he is one of the right youtubers we have out there who is not promoting any shitcoin till the time period.

They both going on another level and some members saying earning merit is hard but they both be like : Hold my beer Grin.

So i forget to post my one also which seems good to me and worth saving on my favourite place for these records and here it goes :

Double number of posts in regards to my merit was really nice record for me and saving it late as forgot about it but was able to SS it on time.Going on the next journey with my work on forum.
2311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is El Salvador in debt because of the bitcoin price drop? on: January 27, 2022, 08:28:15 AM
El Salvador sure is a really small and not-so-rich country, but do you really think they'd put that much funds into something that could drop and put them into debt? I'm pretty sure Bukele and his finance people aren't THAT incompetent. If they were really bullish on bitcoin but at the same time can think realistically, I'm pretty sure they'll have money for dips and crashes.

He has a nice sense of humour too!

https://twitter.com/nayibbukele/status/1485031106982428677
He is more pro active on these social media accounts and post such bitcoin favouring tweets and more importantly he invest at most of the dips which is why El Salvador holds around 1120 bitcoins and probably more and they might get into more profits in the long run when price starts to pump.

There was one such tweet few time back when the prices were high and El Salvador was gaining profits out of it then he was burning out some other btc haters with his statements :

They were in debt from long and it's not that btc have degraded their position but in actual they have invested quite a big amount in bitcoin and being third world country they rely much on their reserves for growth purpose but you see as IMF have urged them to drop the legal status of bitcoin they will potray as conditions have worsen for them after they have adopted it as legal tender.

The US dollar domination has curbed their economy for years and being one of the young president he is taking up some smart move on accepting btc and boost the economy. The prices are down at this time but they will not stay there forever and will eventually rise so is their profits along with it.So nothing to worry about it and soon they will get profits.

So far I have reported more than 1000 spam posts on this forum mostly made by bounty posters with 0 quality. Some of them noticed and started changing after their 50 or so posts were deleted but some others maintained 0 quality of their every posting activity. But a good newbie is one who is willing to read more and can build his account reputation with good quality posts.
You have done your work preety well by reporting such posts to the moderators because they didn't contribute anything on the forum but the fact is you will find pile of bounty hunters shitposting on the forum in some boards. You will find out that they have hundreds of posts apart from bounty submissions and activity matching to some high rank members but with zero merits on them which clearly shows how the hell they are writing up.

If their scope is limited to bounty submission then we don't feel any problem as they are contributing nothing to forum bad as well and have their own way of seeing this forum but if you are serious about growth then focus on enhancing your knowledge not rank because your rank will not decide whether you have knowledge about something or not but your post quality will automatically show this up to everyone and your merits will be rewarded and ranking up.But no we still find some members going the other way around and creating some abandon path for themselves that will lead them to road of darkness but gaining knowledge will lead them to bitcoin light path on this heavenly forum.
2313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Congress Hearing On Bitcoin’s Energy Use on: January 26, 2022, 10:05:56 AM
Despite all the dangerous industries that have been producing incredible pollution and destroying the environment for more than 70 years, all these fake experts and hypocrites choose Bitcoin as the main reason for their fight against greenhouse gases. I find it hard to believe that all these hypocrites are so stupid that they can’t understand the most basic math, so I would conclude that they are mercenaries of the banking system and servants of various anti-Bitcoin coalitions operating worldwide.
Right they will only blame bitcoin with all these bullshit excuses and not expose what affect other things have on the environment that are far more worse than bitcoin mining. The congress and all other government houses will try to figure out some new way to defame the image of bitcoin and mining is one of the biggest thing they have in their minds not in hands as just claiming this or that will not help them in making people fools.

Here is one example of the same and their so called federal reserve is not of much environment friendly mining which is clear from the pictures :

So now who's environment friendly? Take a note about how many workers and labour have died during gold, coal and other metal minings and what affects they have on environmental status of that particular area and compare it with btc mining then answer would automatically be clear.

Okay so this is interesting topic for me to debate over and give more possible explanations in favour of Bitcoin and going to collect more facts and figures about the same and post in this thread.Congress lies won't live any longer neither their fake and useless talks.

Wtsimis, SatoPrincess ... I always knew that each new generation of members of the forum is becoming smarter than the previous one, and it is interesting for me to visually observe how this trend develops. Since you guys have exceeded my wildest expectations considering that you registered less than half a year ago and your results prevail over the results of those who have been on the forum for a very long time.  Wink
Exactly when i see how many new members we have on forum today who are growing at so much fast pace i feel happy about the same.Like you said he has registered over a year only and knows lot about forum and there are many others also whose merit speed is at recognisable and appreciable. They have spend some quality time on forum and we can see it from their posts also.Feels good that forum newbies are capable of growing it.

Speaking about test just came across this and will surely give it a shot and hopes there are few wrongs ones only and my personal test on how much i know about the place where i spend most of my time from previous few years.
2316  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello I am novice on: January 26, 2022, 09:09:43 AM
Hi I'm happy to introduce myself I'm shann from the philippines and
Welcome to the best bitcoin discussion forum and this is member to member conversation and warm welcome of newbie to this forum not any staff formalities Grin and you friend have directed you to the right place. As you have posted on B&H section of the forum i would also let you know there are different local boards also where you can have discussion in your local language with your people but as a community we all are one.

Here it is for you : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=219.0

I'm just new here and thank you to the person who gave me an idea about this but it's not enough, so I'm asking for your different ideas and that way I can understand more and the extensive knowledge about bitcoins because I used to think bitcoin was a scam and not true.
To increase your knowledge there are extensive resources on which you can try your hands on and gain knowledge about bitcoin like all technical and non technical details and other stuff which will be helpful to you.But for making it easy for you i will let you with some forum links about the same and here it is :

5 Resources to teach Average Joe about Bitcoin

Some Books we need to read

Beginners & Help Encyclopedia [UPD: +Electrum Board]

And rest you can check out the best resource for bitcoin which is Mastering Bitcoin by Andreas Antonopoulos which is heaven for the bitcoin lovers and they gain overall knowledge about bitcoin from scratch and beleive me you would have sufficient knowledge about the same after reading this masterpiece by Andreas.

Link for github : https://github.com/bitcoinbook/bitcoinbook

Because of his teachings and he is already making money because of bitcoin and I saw that he was happy with it I was amazed and my curiosity grew so I am here now.
See the thing is you can make money with bitcoin through lot of ways but you need to have sufficient knowledge about it and it will come with time so give yourself that learning booster so you are eligible to earn.Be safe from crypto scams that will promote to make you rich and scam you of existing funds also as there are many in this market and rush to earn could easily make you fall in their hands.

I'm not good and especially I don't know everything here but I'll do my best and I'm sure I'm ready to learn and follow the policies here.
Some here are from long time and don't know about the forum in detail so you didn't need to worry about that and you will come to know about them slowly when you spend time on forum. The best is learning across and having good and healthy discussion as much you can and then automatically you will see the results.Just follow the forum rules and abide by them.

Andreas is always a great source for Bitcoin-related videos because he explains technical stuff in a simple way for everyone to understand.

When we are on the subject of suggesting Youtube materials, there are also two channels that I like to suggest to newbies for basics about Bitcoin, but also plenty of info on altcoin projects (if they are into that of course).

99Bitcoins
Coin Bureau
Undoubtedly Andreas is the true bitcoin supporter and have given his full in educating the masses about Bitcoin from early age and have seen videos when he was telling about the usage and investment and in it and only few people care to attend his lecture but now see the whole world has come to realistic point where btc is the true financial freedom with security.

The coin Bureau is also one of my favourite while i watch some YouTube videos about btc and crypto market rest all others are mostly crap and shilling fake knowledge about their coins so best is to watch them only and enhance your knowledge.
2317  Other / Meta / Re: What outsiders know or say about Bitcointalk. on: January 25, 2022, 11:43:10 AM
You don't ask bankers about bitcoin usage right? The outside people who doesn't know anything about the bitcointalk forum will talk absolute shit about it but in the end if you have not yourself used to it then listening to the talks from them is preety useless. This is how things can be changed from one end to other like government says btc is used for criminal activities and other nonsense stuff but those who understands it and have faith in it truly believe in reality of decentralisation with security.

The bitcointalk is best bitcoin related forum from over past 13 years after Satoshi established it and the legacy is being carried on by the existing members and you would find out that how many active community is at the moment on forum discussing about any bitcoin related updates like taproot or any information you want to ask.But could you find it on Wikipedia or coinmarketcap? Suppose you want some technical details about mining rigs and cooling procedures then a miner on bitcointalk will explain it you better or pre-estimated stuff on Wikipedia and other sites? There are many things that makes forum a far much better place to have discussions and meanwhile other benefits which you can't on other platforms.

There was a thread also discussing about wrong information about bitcointalk on Wikipedia and you can check it here :

Wrong information on Wikipedia

So you see finding lot of negative stuff about forum and btc both but it's yours responsibility to check them all and find out the reality.Ask the forum members what's the best and you have here for some time so don't need to ask them at all about what's their perceptions about forum as you know in the end.
2318  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: January 25, 2022, 09:25:16 AM
Well he do earn percentage of his winning though, I cant recall but it seems that someone wrote it in this thread. So yeah he doesnt really need to wager that much, all he needs to do is to win couple hundred thousand and he is done with his stream. Anyway my point is that he doesnt need to wager that much or try to stand on top of the all time leaderboard, he is a streamer ( entertainer if you would love to this word better ) not really a 'player' because his balance came from sponsored funds
That's true he is only steaming for entertainment purposes and earn his share from the sponsored money so why would he even care to remain on top or below at leaderboard at all.The others are gambling hard with big amounts as we see some whales also wagering millions over Rollbit in top 10.

Getting merit just because an artwork is incredibly done is not an issue. In fact, they deserved to be recognized and praised by others who were blown away by their work, especially for an artwork that required the integration of a brand and a roobet mascot. It's no problem
Exactly the artist who has put in efforts for that artwork only needs appreciation for them and it could be any format like merit or simply by saying it in words. The next big thing come if they win the competition then it's immense joy for them.So we need to appreciate the good works in any manner we like.
2320  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Representing bitcointalk.org letters in crypto terms on: January 25, 2022, 08:55:09 AM
While it's somewhat fun to see this, I find the first letter... let's say not the best choice.
It could imply that we're here just a bunch of bagholders Cheesy. And maybe we actually are. Cheesy
Still, the first letter should come from Bitcoin itself. Let's give Caesar what's Caesar's, okay? Wink
He might not have thought of it while choosing the terms matching to the Bitcointalk as sometimes we missed the most important things going in minor details as you know. But as you have already told him a little edit to the thread can be done with the first Letter adjusted to one and only bitcoin.

I initially thought this, but I took a step back, and viewed it from another point of view. You know how we teach children to abbreviate things, in hope they remember something. Well, not just children actually, adults also use this approach. For example, in the construction industry, and food industry they use various different ones, but the main one that sticks out to me is COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) while its abbreviated different to how the OP did it, the point still makes it easier to understand. First Aid courses, as well as paramedic degrees also teach you via this system, so it does work.

Plus, I'm not too concerned about an attempt to help people learn about different concepts of Bitcoin through this method. Alright, probably a bit of a long shot, but we've got to come up with solutions on making Bitcoin a lot more accessible to those that aren't technically minded. This, while the execution might not be perfect with Bitcointalk as the example, I think could be applied to different things within Bitcoin to teach others.
I also appreciate his efforts that he has taken to create some good stuff as we says newbies should be indulging in some effective contributions on the forum and he has tried his best to do so nothing wrong in that. For many others there might be some new terms associated with it that they have come into knowledge at first phase. The main part is explanation of those terms in the later part which makes clarification to reader's about what those terms actually mean.Sometimes we just put efforts which is good even though the thing is not effective enough but still he has share some information instead of asking how to earn on forum.
