1382  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: August 12, 2022, 11:42:19 AM
Maybe you will think that Rollbots should be more valuable than Apes, Punks but not to many others that's why their value is higher than Rollbots. My question is do you have Rollbots? because we will only have what we consider valuable if it can provide benefits in the future.
I would say No they won't be worth that much like the Punks and BAYC NFT's have been at the current with one piece being approximately a million dollars because Rollbot is gambling based NFT and give the benefits to the players in different manner but those projects have separate base and people are spending money on them is just waste because in the end nobody would be willing to have it with no utility. So price is not the only factor which we should consider but the actual usage linked with it make it more valuable.
1383  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Merit Dashboard on: August 12, 2022, 11:30:51 AM

That’s really got nothing to do with the Merit Dashboard though...

Nevertheless, I can see your Merit counter from within my forum account, and since you seem to be logged-in to your account at the time you took the screenshot, my guess is that it’s got something to do with the plug-in you’re using (i.e. I believe it’s this one – perhaps it’s one of the on/off configuration parameters).

Yeah that might be happening due to those configuration as I am also able to see his merit stats with 195 under his profile so he need to switch the parameters to once again be visible on his account what I think.

And if this continues again you can ask for the help from the community by creating a thread asking for help and you will get it resolved but most probably as @DdmrDdmr has mentioned this is extension plug in issue you are using so try it once.
1384  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 #LiveTheDream on: August 12, 2022, 11:06:52 AM
The buy low and sell high strategy is a simple strategy that everyone can do. Unfortunately, not many can do it because many want bigger profits than we already see before our eyes. We tend to hold onto the profits we see instead of trying to sell them at those highs, which is why many of us are late to sell at those highs.
I would say it's not that simple as how to decide the high and low levels is really hard but it depends on how much satisfactory returns you get from that particular strategy. For instance you have invested at $30k and now price is at $40k so now you are in $10k profits but it's high for you but how to tell is it for market also? So you need to make decision that you want to sell or hold as it can go up or down. But on the opposite when it's dipping you can invest money to hold on for long term as price would recover. So satisfactory profit is what you can cash out timely if you can.

That’s right buddy, but it’s never too late to start. I would advise a noob now to DCA & think about bitcoin as a long term investment. It will work for them better than any type of pension. Buy what they can afford, even $150 a month for 30 years & then it would be a nice addition to a retirement pot.

Of course you could always get lucky & win a jackpot on bitcasino.io Smiley
That's right and I myself am DCA investor from some time and managed to gain some sats also and you could have considerable amount in the time span of 30 years I would say and newbies should give it a try with whatever amount they can keeping up the fees in mind.

Winning a jackpot on Bitcasino would be great addition to the bitcoin holdings then Grin
1385  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why I prefer Decentralized wallet on: August 12, 2022, 10:51:17 AM
Centralized exchange controls lots of investors funds making it site of attraction for hackers who continuously device means to pull funds from the centralized exchanges. You all still remember the 24th Feb. 2014, Mt gox exchange hack? Where huge amount of money was lost to hackers which lead to BTC drastic price fall.

To avoid stories that touches, I suggest holding assets in Decentralized wallet. Remember "Not your keys not your wallet"
If we are talking about decentralised coins like bitcoin and using these centralised exchange then it's completely depletes the base purpose of them and we should avoid using them for many other things also.

We all are aware about they control the keys to our funds but over the top they also act as banking institutions restricting users from withdrawing their funds and also freezing your account as we have seen during many times for example the war cricis between Russia-Ukraine.So what type of security we are expecting from these CEX ? They ask for KYC norms and then are also selling our information on the dark web and to the government agencies keeping track on out financial activity also. They need profits and keep running so they will follow government orders only so yes this is what all the CEX are doing at this time.

They file for bankruptcy your funds got dissolved and you won't get anything back but notice that if your have stored your funds in hardware wallets or some non-custodial wallets then they might be safe.

Go through this threads for more information :

Recent events should make you withdraw all your coins to your own wallet: Part 2

Another signal why to avoid CEX...

Use of hardware wallets with backing up your seed phrases is recommended because your funds are your responsibility and storing them on these CEX is like giving away to them your hard earned money.
1386  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who owns the rights to the Bitcoin Whitepaper? on: August 12, 2022, 10:21:33 AM
Basically the well known scammer called Craig Wright exploited the legal system in UK to win a fake case against an anonymous entity called Cøbra who has control over a centralized website called bitcoin.org. The result was the court order to remove the paper from that website for UK IPs.
His days are also limited until he is thrown behind the bars like the others Faketohis have been trying to scam people and without any results trying to convince people to also be part of this cheap game.He has only won the particular battle and we all know how was it possible but the clown will see the end results of his cheap manipulation tricks ending up soon.

Yeah, I understand that you still can mine with good profit, but you need to spend a lot on the hardware and pay for electricity. I hold GMT Token instead of it, you can hold it and get a certain part of mining power and it mines btc directly from the pool. You can connect a wallet and get btc daily with 24% APR.
The thread is about bitcoin whitepaper not about mining stuff so would advise you to read the content of the thread before you post anything. You are newbie on the forum and there are some mistakes we make but reading is that we should be doing in the first instance so be on topic only man.
1387  Economy / Reputation / Re: [FUN] Is DdmrDdmr even human? on: August 11, 2022, 01:57:03 PM
Not sure if that's the case, but fillippone definitely has the advantage considering the amount of merits they receive compared to DdmrDdmr, and the amount they send. Using the longest available data on the forum (120 days); fillippone has sent 4149 merits, and received 1377, while DdmrDdmr has sent 2640, and received 780. So, DdmrDdmr has their work cut out for them if they want to compete in the long term Cheesy.
Generally @DdmrDdmr sent out 1-2 merits in each TX on the forum while @fillippone has habit of giving out 3 per TX and if you see in recent thread about some private keys you might be aware of he has sent out 50 merits also in one TX to the members so you see there was lot of merit distribution from his side in past 120 days and have earned also quite well with his threads and posts.

While @DdmrDdmr has also sent out merits in past 120 days and we might see another merit spree from his side and you would see additional 200-250 merits being sent out in that spree taking his total high again and be on the generous merit source list.

suchmoon is probably the most noteworthy, being ahead by quite some bit, but not sending as much as the others in the last 120 days. Actually, receiving more merit, than sending it, which isn't common for those in the top 10.
Although he is the number one merit sender on the forum with 41074 smerits in forum duration while if we see about the past 120 days then he has earned 399 merits and sent out total of 228 and he also has the habit of sending most of 1-2 smerits in each Tx but that's fine as his wish and all have different ways of sending out merits.

And if we speak about merit speed what this thread is about then there's nobody near the flash @DdmrDdmr in that case.
1388  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: August 11, 2022, 01:35:33 PM

The question is, how much that dude lost before hitting that multiplier and having that base bet of $1250? No one knows but having this kind of betting does signify that this dude is a whale.

The thing is we can't know how much he has wagered and this was unsponsored win shared by the team so don't know how much he has spent while hitting that number but if you are lucky in gambling in the end that matters the most and he was among that basket with some golden eggs that returned him with $600k win which is immense and even if he has wagered more than it he got good amount back.

We are termed lucky when we win because in gambling otherwise we are at risk always of losing money so what matters is our luck and winning amount in the end.
1389  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 #LiveTheDream on: August 11, 2022, 01:21:26 PM

Bear markets are where the foundations are laid to make serious money. I always sell a portion of my stash in the bull market & buy back in a bear market when lots of people are in tears. Buy low, sell high, simple. We’re still working on 4 year cycles, it’s quite easy to follow. I’ve been doing this very successfully since 2014.
And that's why it's said "The best time to make money is when there is blood on the streets" and what people do is contrary to this part and start selling out of panic in the bear trends and this is where they loose money but what you have been doing is impressive and that also from 2014.

You have managed to gain good profits over selling your stash also and remember your thread in WO that how bitcoin helped you change your life completely.
1390  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: There is still time on: August 11, 2022, 01:06:35 PM
BTC goes up to 69,000$ what more can it do? It's over....hmm this is what some are saying to my face, the fact is they are looking at the present situation but crypto market cap isn't even close to that of Real Estate yet, we are growing do not let anyone tell you otherwise, there is still time and there is a lot of room for growth, do not be a sitting duck like many they will FOMO in year's later when people like us are cashing out...
There are many people who will always try to spread negativity about bitcoin in the market but that doesn't have any impact on it's prices and all these dips are temporary because once we see little pumps with money flowing through retail and institutions then the same people are willing to invest at the high rates.

Speaking about only bitcoin then we have already seen $69k approximately as it's ATH near coinbase listing and it's down from many months with prices going down to $18k also but now what's the condition of the market? We are recovering and now there are green graphs again pooping up on the screens so it's long term profit margin associated with bitcoin and if you understand it's technical working and know the importance of decentralisation then you know bitcoin is the financial freedom you can get for future.

At this time the bitcoin market cap is $472.5 Billion dollars after the dump also but real estate market is old age and have well established buisness line but in recent year trends you would see people have preferred bitcoin investment more due to returns associated with them and use as payment mode also. The big institutions are taking part in accepting bitcoin and we have LN channels for fast confirmation with increased capacity each time of bitcoin so it's definitely worth investing in it.

But if i would advise you then avoiding altcoins is good because we see lot of deviations in the top-10 and most of them are pump dump scheme coins giving you nothing but only scamming you of your funds. So sticking with bitcoin is best option but if you plan to hold only for long term as we might see another bull run soon and we are heading towards next halving.
1391  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who owns the rights to the Bitcoin Whitepaper? on: August 11, 2022, 12:52:35 PM
There was only win against the rights over bitcoin.org and particularly for British people but spending money on the judicial system is not a new concept and what this faketoshi is trying to prove will never happen in reality as he can't prove the ownership to the funds he said belong to him so you can see where he is headed towards. So he won that particular case of infringement against Copra and after that there was tweet from bitcoin.org Twitter handle :

Quote
I don’t think you could get a better advertisement of *why* Bitcoin is necessary than what happened today. Rules enforced through cryptography are far more superior than rules based on whoever can spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in court.

But we all know that clown cannot succeed in his motive with these cheap tricks and one day when he will run out of money he will be behind bars for making system fool which now is supporting him.

You can read the bitcoin whitepaper on lot of sources he can't file a legal suit against them.

I also would label him as scammer.
This image fits directly for this scammer:

1392  Other / Meta / Re: Top 200 Active Members who have earned most Merits but have sent 0 sMerits on: August 10, 2022, 03:49:37 PM
I think Proudhon gave me a merit  Grin

Unless my memory is really fuckedup .
He has given only 11 merits in total time span on the forum and out of it 10 to CB in the WO thread so you see he is not interested in giving out merits at all but @LoyceV has further clarified you on the matter that you were the one giving him merit.

Since the thread got bumped, I might as well check out if any of the merit hoarders gave anyone any merits since my last update. I will put it on my to-do list.
Just bumped into this thread and found it quite interesting to have the list for the members who are not giving merits at all so let me help you a little bit on this one.

I manually collected the data for the members in the @OP to check if they have given some of the merits in the last 120 days and the results are still the same :

1393  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why beginners should pay attention to their privacy on: August 10, 2022, 01:43:22 PM
But there is no reason to use Brave for either of reasons. Firefox is better option for almost everything. You can use container tabs or separate profiles to keep different usages of Firefox separate. If you really want, you can install Firefox more than once, or install different versions of Firefox (default, beta, developer, etc.) or even run a separate instance of Firefox in a VM to keep some use completely separate from other uses, and allow you to have a very hardened version of Firefox with appropriate browser extensions as well as a completely basic and out-of-the-box version of Firefox too.

And if you really need a Chromium based browser for a specific task, then as I've said before, Ungoogled Chromium is the best option.
I understand your point and if we are so concerned about our privacy then we should avoid these browser at all and yes Firefox container tabs is really useful option and switching on the different profiles like you have mentioned is quite useful keeping it all safe once you install them and works fine for us and will focus on them discarding Brave to the full.

But still we are having the browser fingerprint problem where the previous container information could be leaked based on our OS and hardware according to GitHub reports also but those who are unaware about their working can read them here :

Containers

But my most of the work is absolutely handled through Tor only so no need of chromium based browser to me although Ungoogled Chromium is best in that case.

I thought that was a joke. LOL!
These days privacy is becoming a joke for these self pro claimed privacy oriented browser also but soon they show their real face and only you need to be careful about yourself and for them your privacy is just a joke.
1394  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 #LiveTheDream on: August 10, 2022, 01:23:44 PM

This is the reality right now for Bitcoin market. There’s a lot of news that can dragged down Bitcoin price in a short of time such as FOMC, CPI, bankruptcy of DeFi company and many more. On the other hand, Traders always consider that price is already hit the bottom after that huge price plunge down which gives temporary price really above. Being lack of clear direction with the market price makes Bitcoin and crypto market in general very volatile right now.

The Bitcasino BTC prediction is now harder and luck reliant because the price is not moving exactly base on TA but rather on the current event and people emotion towards that.
With more big companies becoming insolvent the fear of another crash is there which is diverting the price graph downstream so it's hard to predict the price range for the ongoing prediction challenge on Bitcasino and any news could hit it in positive or negative direction or have zero impact over the prices and speaking of TA then it's nothing like that and all depends on market circumstances is that right @LFC_Bitcoin? Grin
1395  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: August 10, 2022, 01:12:02 PM
This is one of the big wins I have seen on Rollbit by the big whale who has wagered around $1250 in free spins and win a total of $606,500 which is really big according to me.

He has also claimed two daily bonuses of $100k each and now this big win on his part is really amazing although he is whale who is wagering big.

1396  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Gaming hack be warned ethereum (NFT/blockchain) on: August 10, 2022, 12:55:17 PM

What is important here is that each dApp has it own smartcontract, i.e. , its own code. That code might have vulnerabilities, which will be exploited if they exist.

This doesn't mean that Ethereum blockchain isn't safe, only that this contract had a vulnerability

This is one of the reasons why altcoins/tokens are riskier than bitcoin and other established projects, such as ethereum.
You cannot trust these new projects coming in the market with your funds because there are two cases at the most like they themselves turn scam and rug you of your funds or the smart contract has security breaches that can easily exploite the whole project.

In fact, now, many wallets allow you to keep your cryptocurrency absolutely safe. However, I would single out Metamask because this crypto wallet is the most secure.
I would say not too much because we have also seen some hacks in this wallet also and there were many NFT's stolen through Metamask also and users fund got drained with the full amount they were having in them

Metamask hack

But now they have made some upgradation in the wallet for the user security by giving permission to access your NFT and you can change settings in yhe wallet so that's nice update but still the riks lies there if you are not taking proper care of your funds : Metamask update

If that bridge owns a large amount of bitcoin, it may affect the market, otherwise it will not have an impact.
Yes the normal theft of bitcoin would not effect the market at all but if the amount is high then it could definitely affect the market

The Ronin network scam was worth more then $600 million and they didn't found about it till a week and this was discovered when user was not able to withdraw the funds and there was some altcoins that were hacked if I remember to some extent but it was one of the largest hack and hackers account was freezed by Binance and also didn't follow up the stroy afterwards.
1397  Economy / Economics / Re: Singapore to unveil plans to becoming a Bitcoin hub on: August 10, 2022, 12:40:32 PM
I'm skeptical about these claims of countries becoming "bitcoin hubs" (whatever that really means), because it seems like I've heard this story before and it just sounds to me like they're trying to ride the wave of something very popular but without doing anything lasting or even meaningful.

It's kind of like how every business and a lot of altcoins are jumping on the NFT bandwagon to attract newcomers, which I think is complete garbage--because IMO NFTs are complete garbage.  We'll see where Singapore stands with bitcoin in five years, because that'll show whether they meant what they said, and only time is going to determine that.  Right now it's just a lot of words.
The problem is if any of the government representatives talk about some future plans about crypto the blog and articles start to interlink them and publish the articles that this country has big plans for the bitcoin future although they don't have anything in mind.We have seen so many articles claiming these big things and now only want to test the reality. The Singapore government has said they are developing some strategies for regulations but have not invited big bitcoin exchange or something like that make it hub so these articles are now more of rumours only.

So was talking about more cool merit records to be saved here and see I have found another one preety fast and this time it's for our technical bitcoin geek @pooya87 who has the round number of 7200 merits on his profile.

So congratulations to him on achieving this record and now he is heading for some more on the way so best of luck to him as well others also.

@Lucius you are just left with 112 merits to enter the 4k merit club so hope it's soon and best wishes to you also man.

kyc is still a big problem in the crypto world, which interferes with our personal documents. If we do kyc in scam project then there remains the possibility of our personal documents being sold in black market. so we should careful to do kyc on any crypto website
Even the legit services are hard to trust in these KYC matters because they store these data with some third party software where privacy breach can happen anytime or they could sell your data on dark web using it for illicit works so how do you remain anonymous in this market is what makes you safe.
1400  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Upload Audio in Bitcointalk on: August 09, 2022, 12:32:57 PM
See I know you want to share something useful with us but forum doesn't allow this audio features and you have to go through these third party software and then sharing the links what you have done but just want to say that if you are sharing your audio then it's completely waste as you can simply write a detailed post about the same on the forum itself.

And if you want to share someone's else audio then you can summarise it on the post here as most of members will not be willing to listen to these audios and trust is another part for our safety.

Personally,  I don't think it is even safe to share files like this.
I don't click in files people share in forums, and nobody should. Unless you really trust the Sender,  don't open files someone posted here or sent to your email.

Everyone here is somehow involved with bitcoin and/ or other cryptocurrencies  , which makes this forum a great attack vector for phising and other kind of social attacks.
That's right because we have seen so many phishing attempt through these links and even PDF files also so it's better not to click on the links in case it injects malware in your system and most of the times they have key logger that will gain access to your keyboard so I am also not a fan of clicking these links from these untrusted sources.

Moreover we should avoid uploading our files to these third party untrusted services ourselves also that can be harmful for us also so it should be avoided.
