1621  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — Unique casino games that will blow your mind 🪄 on: June 17, 2022, 01:04:57 PM
Prediction contest are more quite fun to watch right now because those people who predict to pump are already eliminated and now for sure people who predict the dip are now in hype to see if their prediction will be hit and win on the contest.
The prediction contest are becoming interesting these days as price volatility is high and those who have insighted low dips for the bitcoin price have more chances of win but speaking frankly have not expected prices to go down this much to $23k level but will see how it will perform in coming months.
1622  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: June 17, 2022, 12:49:21 PM
I think there will be soon one art contest back for the members to come up with new exciting arts for Mr.Roo Wink
There is no upcoming worldwide holiday that Roobet can celebrate, so I don't think there is an upcoming contest that will be held next month, unless otherwise Roobet has a one big hell of event that's cooking to celebrate their launch. But yeah, I am missing the event and I still look forward for whatever theme is about to launch.

Would it be nice to create a 3D Roo? -- just to spice some things up.
Yeah it was just my guess that there could be some art contest for us soon but there might not be any of it.Not next month but yes they will be back with it maybe on some special theme of Roobet celebration.

So if you are interested in 3D Mr.Roo model that will be really interesting to see what you come up with and the art could be in any format.

Hi @fillippone, please is the translation challenge over? if NO I want to join the translation gang. I will also translate to Pidgin language for Nigeria Local Board.
Good to see that more members are willing to translate the post in various local languages to spread them across that boards to reach more members. There are so many useful post made him that you can translate but a little suggestion to you is have a look at @GazetaBitcoin's translation post even though you don't understand the language to see how you can make some good translation with that local touch of the language.

Not at all, this is actually not a challenge but an invitation to help me to spread the knowledge trough the forum.
So, you are more than welcome to join the party.
Just post a message stating which post you are going to translate so that everyone is aware and no double work is done.
The translation thread is having good number of applications these days and main aim is also to spread these posts to more and more local boards as possible and your more upcoming threads will also see the same response.
1625  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase to Lay Off 18% of Workers on: June 16, 2022, 01:09:39 PM
Laying people off when business isn't doing well is entirely expected as suchmoon has said. However, the circumstances surrounding these lay offs is pretty disgusting, even for Coinbase's already abysmal standards. I'm reading about people who were fired via a text message, people who discovered they were fired when they were simply kicked out of their remote systems while in the middle of working on something, even someone who took out a work visa and had his job offered rescinded, meaning he is being kicked out the country. We know Coinbase have a complete disregard for their customers, but looks like they have a complete disregard for their staff as well.
The employees layoffs during these times is normal but don't think so Coinbase needs this decision at this time as they are expanding their business to different nations and need employees backpack to support them but we all know they are mainly concerned with their profits only and this decision came across by CEO but they will never take a cut in their wages and taking big portion of it :

See how much they are earning through coinbase and involving in all other privacy related breaches and freezing the funds of users. But they see the future economic conditions as concerning and needs to implement this decision. They are making billion dollar revenue each quarter and you can check out the shareholders report

But they are implementing this decision at this time when market is down and they wants to save themselves with recent SEC filings which was important as they declared users funds can be used in case of insolvency so what else can we expect from them that they will not protect anyone's interest.
1626  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Legal Tender in Central African Republic on: June 16, 2022, 12:27:01 PM
I guess they were surprised. Generally speaking they are less prone to celebrating success of political initiatives. They have been wandering in El Salvador for almost two months, yet they are very skeptical about every political initiative.
Given the long track record in corruption and political ineptitude in CAR, I guess they are still sceptical about the future bitcoin law, but having this positive feedback from people familiar with the situation is a welcome news.
Implementation of bitcoin as legal tender in these countries is very hard job to do but they still find it as option to revive their economic conditions through it's usage is welcome step. You see there are lot of problems in CAR and people face poverty and war from a long time and most of them might not be familiar with what bitcoin is.The government approach can help them spread awareness among them but how will they provide internet access to them as conditions are little better in El Salvador but still taking these big steps towards adoption are key to success in the long run.

The government could give it a boost by investing some amounts at this time and storing it in treasury as an asset reserve which can be used at the time of price appreciation which will boost the funds and can take steps onto progress for the country but it will be hard task to achieve.
1627  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — Unique casino games that will blow your mind 🪄 on: June 16, 2022, 12:10:59 PM
I don't really think BTC will sink below $20K since it's a strong support and reversals happen quite often in this extremely volatile cryptocurrency market.

This is why my recent predictions were in the $20K - $25K range though I don't expect BTC to stay in that range for too long since many investors would scoop it up at these low prices helping the price rally in the near future.
This market is totally unpredictable and anything could happen but i would say these dips have some reasons behind it like the LUNA crash first of all with it's faulty algorithm taking out billions of the market and then Celsius meltdown which is shifting the price trend to low graphs but yes we can say that $20k support is strong and hope it keeps up at this time with little ant pumps also. The prediction games are turning out to be quite interesting with these heavy fluctuations so looking forward this week.

Just open you accusations with some valid proofs like the screenshot with the support team and your bet slips and other proofs that can defend yourself and your issue will be taken into serious consideration for sure. The team will look into the matter and will reply you but you also need to support your argument with proofs against it and then only it can help you man.
1629  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is Cryptocurrency or BITCOIN? on: June 16, 2022, 11:48:45 AM

- It is also called Crypto because it also uses Technology or encryption system to make it more secure and prevent hackers from
  hacking it.
Hackers can still hack it through various ways like phising attempts and the only thing they need is keys to your bitcoin or seeds of the wallet that protect your funds but if they gain access to it they have access to your funds.

The seeds are generated from entropy and are of 12/24 words and it's nearly impossible for anyone to brute force it without knowing some of the words so you can assume it safe in that case.

- It has also Blockchain Technology, this is basically technology used only in transactions where when verified the information it
can be compared to one block and added to another block or fixture thus becoming a blockchain.
Blockchain is like public ledger where each and every transactions is recorded on the blocks mined and verified by the miners. Each block is mined approximately in ten minutes and the transactions are then added to these newly mined blocks saved on blockchain. We can say it as open and transparent public ledger where records can't be tampered.

But Bitcoin no longer has Fee's(You can
transact person to person unlike in credit card there are many parties involved) and we will also be anonymous here and be more secure in
avoiding hacks because of the technology used in it.
Who said bitcoin don't have the fees at this time? There is always fees which goes to the miners who has solved the block so they earn all the transaction fees that will be included in that particular block plus 6.25BTC as mining rewards at this time. There is one myth about bitcoin fees that it depends on amount but it actually depends on the size of transaction.

But you might be confusing Lightning Network where you could open up payment channel and make as many transactions without waiting for confirmation and fees but when the final transaction is promoted up to blockchain it will have the fees included so you can't say there is no fees.

Bitcoin is also the source of many digital currencies such as Litecoin, Ethereum,
  Monero, and others.
Monero is completely anonymous coin while bitcoin and others are pseudo-anonymous which means you can track the transaction through wallet address and blockchain but not is the case with Monero.

If you have invested in bitcoin then it's good choice and as you have sparked about the inflation then it's good choice but for long term as the current trend is not so good but will recover soon so save and invest in it not others shitcoins just my advice to you not forcing it on you and study more about it.
1630  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can someone help me? on: June 16, 2022, 11:25:50 AM
Read as many threads for beginners  and learn how to stay on the forum without being ban
You just need to take this as discussion forum and follow the basic rules of the forum and you won't get any type of ban whether signature ban or permanent ban.The main rules which you should take care as newbie is don't plagiarise on the forum which means if you are not orginal author of the content you are sharing mention the source always or write it in quote and you are good rest have look at rules for avoiding any problems. There is no competition that will kick you out of the forum so go with your pace and grow with learning on the forum.

will after i learn and understand it i will benefit? sorry for my bad question
It seems that you are non native English speaker judging from your writing style but a suggestion is work on it if you are posting on these general boards to make yourself clear to others. Now to answer your question if you learn something new on the forum it will definitely benefit you to have more knowledge which is beneficial for you.

It is quite interesting you already know how to quote a message here within these your few days, it actually means you are gonna be a fast learner, and i will be happy to see you grow rapidly here on the forum.
There is nothing difficult in quoting any post you want to reply as you see there is quote button on the right side of each post and you simply click on it and you will be diverted to the writing area where you can reply to that person or you can read this thread to help you : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5346341.0

You should also read this thread which will help you to get familiar with some ways to write posts on the forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5184741.0

Rest slowly you will learn lot of things but you need to give it time and yourself that dedication to learn about it.
1631  Other / Archival / Re: Today Marks 365 days Since I registered on Bitcointalk on: June 16, 2022, 11:10:42 AM
You have registered previous year on the forum and have gained 277 merits till now with being senior member of the forum which is appreciated but do you think this thread is necessary? First of all this board is dedicated towards forum related discussions only and this belongs to Reputation board or specifically the topic mentioned above by @Solosanz and you can celebrate your 365 days on the forum.

It seems to be that one self praising threads on B&H section that are created with the intention of earning more merits and frankly saying passing full year on the forum is not a big task as you see we have been here from years and if all started creating these threads then there will be piles of them on these boards spamming up the forum.

You have created some good threads like you mentioned above but posting them here is no good and this whole thread don't serves a good purpose so make sure not to indulge in these practices.

Edit : The thread has been already moved to the Reputation board.
1632  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Special reasons for bitcoin purchase on: June 15, 2022, 12:32:52 PM
The reasons why so many persons invest in bitcoin is the depreciation, centralization and the appreciative aspect  in bitcoin.
What are your source of learning about bitcoin which states it's centralised in the first place? If you have studied it properly then you must have understood that it's the first decentralised cryptocurrency that made it possible for us to have that financial freedom providing us alternative to the central monetary system and many more things. So if you say it's centralised then it's all wrong and it's completely decentralised in all the ways like no there is no main server, institutions, mining pools controlling it.

Even if we see it from Mining aspect then after the China ban the hashtate distribution has increased to different parts and there are many pools so nobody have the central chain of authority over it

So then you said about appreciation and depreciation then it's termed as bitcoin volatility and prices fluctuate on the simple rule of economics which is demand and supply so at this time people are dumping the coins and FUD is there which is pushing price graphs downward but if you have known btc for a while then you must understand it tends to grow in the long run as there is mass adoption on the line with supply shrinking.

This stages are very important to traders or exchangers. it’s a medium of efficient, crypto currency has been a life change in recent years, it has been a great value  for storing assets, commodities and currency. These qualities attract to those who believe In future bitcoin. Crypto help those who have issues with hyperinflation..
Crypto market is big and there are thousands of coins trading over exchange and more than 18k listed on CMC so do you believe all of them are are like bitcoin? I would say none of them is like it and many people beleive it to be get rich scheme but are rugged by scam projects with shitcoins. The other coins are different but only bitcoin is good hope for us to deal with hyperinflation and if you know this fact then you how risky the market is.

People investing in bitcoin are of two categories like the first one is to make quick profits seeing prices rises in bull run but when it drops they panic sell contributing worse to the situation

The second category is people who understand bitcoin at core level and realise true financial freedom against government and with profit they can also gain in the long run.
1633  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 14, 2022, 02:04:40 PM
$22,184 as per CMC at this time

We need to keep up the $20k barrier at any cost so make sure you invest with whatever amount you can now is the time WO and bitcoin brothers then we will have some pizza celebration afterwards smashing the bears in the face Smiley
1634  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies: Don't use centralized exchanges! on: June 14, 2022, 02:00:30 PM
That's a good point; but I don't really believe you need privacy, untraceability or even self-custody if you see cryptocurrencies as just a means of speculation / trading. Because then you're just buying coins to sell them higher later. Traders don't aim to use the coins as anonymous, P2P cash anyway. They only want to maximize fiat holdings and never intend to actually use the currency. So therefore they couldn't care less about anonymity and privacy, right. That's a whole different use case.
For them the main aim is profitable trades and they have to trade cryptos so these exchanges are suitable for them but those who wants to hold their coins safely then avoiding these CEX is the best alternative to them as they have your keys and can freeze your transactions anytime so what safety do you expect from these platforms.

We are users and holders not any competitor of these CEX who wants to establish their business by defaming them as the problems are real faced by many and just want to guide them to don't cater these exchanges. When you are storing decentralised cryptos like bitcoin on these centralised platforms then you deplete the base aim of using these coins and don't expect privacy and safety from them at all.

Those who are into trading also needs to have some P2P or decentralised exchange because there are lot of risk with these CEX and it's not hatred for them but only our precautionary measures to keep our funds safe form them and don't know how your KYC documents are being used by them are keep track of you with imposed restriction.
1635  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: June 14, 2022, 01:48:20 PM

Of course they can't give "all" of it back, and hell they do not even have to give anything back. Just recently another casino made a sponsorship with a huge club for 10 million a year, they could literally pay that with the money they made from the NFT sales, and yet they are not doing anything like that as far as we know.

The question is, if they are not doing big marketing, if they are not giving it to gamblers, what did they do this for? Just so they could get rich and buy super luxury cars and houses? I doubt that, they could do that if they did a huge marketing as well, they would earn even more, so it shouldn't be about that at all.
Do you think they are filling out just their pockets and don't giving anything to the gamblers at all? The other casino made a deal for 10 million with some club so if they are not doing the same so they are buying luxury cars with it? They have already so many ways giving back to the community through giveaways and they might have plans for further expansion also with big market cap you are focusing on so we need to just enjoy the current wave of profits if we can.

1637  Other / Meta / Re: Are you a merit source? Thanks for your sacrifice. on: June 14, 2022, 01:21:35 PM
I also beleive this thread did not intend to throw some light on the useful forum discussions and sound like more of appreciation of the merit sources which we have seen in many self congratulatory threads in the past where members ranking up thanks each merit source for helping them but it's attempt to gain more merits and it is deemed to be of low quality on the forum.

Firstly, I discovered that some merits sources who also have good amounts of merits earned are denied of merits (maybe unintentionally) by other members of the forum.
This is not clear to me as you are saying they have earned lot of merits meanwhile you are saying they are denied merits by other members so how do they earn them? If you see the merit sources also earn lot of merits by high rank, low rank and merit sources for the post they make and i didn't doubt about it.Sometimes they also exchange merits with each other but eventually it's distributed on the forum in the end helping members to rank up.

The unmentioned reasons could be that;
  • They have enough merits, any need of wasting more on them?
Will talk about only one merit source in this case and he is @Pharmacist and he is the one who has helped many of us to rank up to higher ranks and his style is familiar by those who get merits from him and whenever you send him back he will say not to merit himself but help other good posts on the forum and make them rank up.So you can't say they don't get it as you see most of the sources have good amount of merits earned also with their posts.

There is a thread to report unmerited good posts, I hardly see posts of merit sources reported there. It therefore means that all good posts from merit sources have received cool amounts of merits (irony).
The similar thread is created by @LoyceV for helping the members who are unnoticed and didn't have enough merits for the good post they have made by the merit source particularly

It's been suggested before, and khaled0111 suggested it again today: a possibility for users to report good unmerited posts to Merit Sources.

You see merit sources usually get merits for the post they have made as you can see the most of them are active on all main boards so they are known by all but low rank members sometimes went unnoticed but this thread helps to aim them.[/list]
1638  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice merit records here - LAST UPDATE: 24/03/2022 on: June 14, 2022, 12:59:15 PM

Don't worry, here's a screenshot of your next achievement.

Congratulations, bullrun2020bro, 3000 mark is ahead. Wink
First of all congratulations to the thread creator @bullrun2020 with 2500 merits on his profile and now he also have another record saved here so his next mark is now locked for another mark.

Also good to have our flash @Ratimov back with another cool merit record for one of the known member on the forum.Hope you keep this pace man.

Also one more merit record by me and one merit source giving out constantly on the economic board of the forum is @paxmao with 1414 same doublers merit record on his profile

Good to see many records being share on this thread and it's going the way it supposed to be.
1639  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The reason why the bounty section is the worst and most spamming board on: June 13, 2022, 12:54:06 PM
It is no secret to everyone that participating in a bounty is most often associated with many alternative accounts. These people look like robots to me. Nevertheless, they agree that they are not interested in learning and further development or they are incapable. But they amuse themselves with their stupid tokens, which lie like dead weight in their wallets.

The section on bounties and announcements of alternative coins can be easily ignored, especially for those who are unnerved by them, and thus save your nervous system.
For sure you would see most newbie accounts connected in those Bounty campaign even submitting same wallet address to get the rewards in form of tokens or so called stakes according to their work. They just want to collect garbage tokens as much they can with their alt social media accounts and posting about them so they don't even worry about it as it's only newbie account so even if they get banned they would make some other. But evil fees is good way to stop them to some extent.

But still we see lot of newbies joining these bounty campaign but the problem arises when they start spamming on other sections of the forum just to rank up but as they lag the capability and knowledge they only make posts which doesn't make any sense but still we see lot of them on the forum.

The only part I didn't enjoy was the weeding and cultivating, which is why it is so popular here.  Just want to play big size and have rules over 18 that I have seen in the movie but since here small gamblers have to play according to budget but here is very lucky and if some amount can go otherwise it is good but they have to copy and the rules are there  Must be kept and always kept an eye
You can play big as you see there are whales who are wagering billion dollars on single platform like Rollbit as there are no restrictions on placing any bet and you can yeild your returns according to it if you are lucky.I would recommend you to try lootboxes although chances are less but if you wager more and more the winning chances improve which can bring you some really good amount of profits.Rest they have to cater for the small gambling community also for the betterment.
