IMGBB broke on this forum, can't post using their links anymore. I mean it worked fine previously even as a guest.

Try pictr.com, quality's better. No need to register as well
There is problem for imgbb as discussed but some images are visible and some are not so don't know when it will be completely resolved till then we need to find some more alternatives.

But talking about pictr.com then it's not letting us to upload the images without registering the account as shown in the these two images :

First one is from imgbb to check whether it's working or not :

Second one from postingimages.org which was suggested in this thread only and quite good over TOR also :

So at the time imgbb is also working fine at my end and there's no problem for it but can't say this has been fully resolved or not.

But why? In my experience, imgbb always worked properly without requiring an account.
I am long time imgbb user and have never made an account and it's completely fine but there is problem a their end from few days so it might resolve soon.

You do not need to. Even after uploading the file mouse hover on the image > right click > click on Copy Image Address. The URL of the address will be copied in our clipboard. Put the URL in between the "img" ([img]) tag. 😉
That's the ease of imgbb that you can directly copy the address and clipboard usage makes it more comfortable for users.

1583  Economy / Reputation / Re: Announce your rank up, merit or any achievements that makes you feel great! on: June 27, 2022, 12:11:59 PM
I just had to wait for the activity count to be around 480 for me to rank as a Hero Member, this meant I would have to spend at least a few more months in the Sr. Member rank.
It is good to see many members across the forum these days who have more merits then activity and having continuous approach the same way so best of luck and you already have saved your 777 merit records your next target is locked.

Speaking about your activity then as you are active and every two weeks 14 activity points are distributed it would take another 3 months for you to actually have the senior rank on your profile but till then you will be having legendary rank merits if the pace continues.

Your work and effective contributions on the forum with your knowledge will lead you to success path and then merit is no hinderance for you but you will automatically gain them without even worrying about it.

It's ruined. Congratulations! 😂
The @Pharmacist merit machine detected him again and was ruined with additional 23 merits and now his record is moving to next 888 merits so congratulations to him for the same.

All others who are asking for how to gain merit and rank up on the forum you don't need to think about them but only Focus on making quality post, sharing and exchange of knowledge and results will be as per your wish.
1584  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: June 27, 2022, 11:57:48 AM

Getting raw cashes over some NFT that could probably have less value in a month is the best option for now though. I mean every player that wanted NFT would be able to purchase some with cashes from the rakeback but I kinda get what you are saying though.

Rollbit also probably has already considered this ( and launched them to some VIP ), its not really the same as what you have described but this is actually close to it.

https://opensea.io/collection/rollbit-vip
Was not aware about the Rollbit VIP passes and the platinum one's are up for sale at 0.25 ETH at this time roughly around $306 and could get extra benefits like deposit bonus and RLB airdrop is fine according to me for those who are deep into gambling to avail those extra benefits.

From few days we are not getting Twitter giveaways and updates about it so waiting for it now.
1585  Other / Meta / Re: Is one forum rule needed? on: June 27, 2022, 11:33:49 AM
There are many things going on and if we seek it as bitcoin and crypto market discussion forum then it's in the best interest of all but some take it on other matters threatening each other which is wrong. But I understand your point here that new members could not express their thoughts clearly under these cases.

But we can't ban these accounts and the best option according to me is push that ignore button for the member from whomsoever we have the problem and then keep posting your way.

The new members need to understand that this is open discussion forum and you need not to worry about anything keeping in mind you follow the rules and there could be different opinions on the same matter so if you face similar situations just avoid them and treat it as discussion forum only.

This is a much bigger problem: Bitcointalk in general is very unfriendly to Newbies! It was already like that when I joined, and in the first years I was afraid to get a red tag for some unimportant tiny mistake.
There are some members who are rude towards the low ranking members and have unethical behaviour towards them which we all have faced at some point but you can tackle them with growing on the forum and enhancing your knowledge to give them reply.
1586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: THIS CRASH IS DIFFERENT than previous crashes... The FEDERAL RESERVE is why.... on: June 27, 2022, 11:21:58 AM
Bitcoin isn't finished going up. You are just too short sighted to see it. As I told you when you were preaching doom and gloom back in 2020, come back in a few years and zoom out on the charts and lets see where we are.
Not only him many others who don't understand it and the market working start speaking shit about it when the prices are down as we have seen bitcoin obituaries for the hundred times .The $3k bottom back in 2017-18 period was dead end for many people and we see lot of panic sell but what happened after that? Where is bitcoin at current rates even after falling 70-80% of value -$20k so if he could manage to see the charts this question would have not come up.I feel pity for those who tried to give away these statements when bitcoin is going down as they don't see US dollar losing its value over time and every market hitting hard but only bitcoin is option for them. When you will see after few years then regretting not investing at these prices will be only option left so be optimistic or don't invest in.

Bitcoin going down by such a large amount has ENDED the dream of a lot of serious institutional money investing into Bitcoin.  No large institution is going to invest real money into Bitcoin now that it has crashed by more than 66 % in less than a year.
Which company your are talking about exactly like MicroStrategy holds 129,218 BTC at the time and have not sold any of them and CEO Saylor is preety much optimistic about its growth and have said investing more at these dips.Speaking about El Salvador they are also holding onto the investment and Tesla have also not sold any of its investment so don't know what exactly you are saying about.

Simply repeating this nonsense that you've made up with absolutely zero evidence doesn't make it true. Every institution which invested in to bitcoin was 100% aware of the price volatility and still chose to invest. This dump is not a surprise to anyone except you it seems. You honestly believe that large financial institutions got to the multi-billion or even trillion dollar valuations they hold by buying at the top and then panic selling every dip? Lol.
They just speak what they have to without even doing market research for it and they are generally from those categories who have lost investing in bitcoin and couldn't hold during dips and panic sell so now telling others institutions are not holding bitcoin is just one of their myths.

Ponzi Schemes simply do not survive crashes well...
Good thing bitcoin's not a Ponzi then. That probably explains why it has survived every other crash in its history.
[/quote]
They will simply beleive that shitcoin is better and have the mindset bitcoin is ponzi scheme but they don't understand how decentralisation actually works and support of bitcoin is due to it's working and technical background so it could not be a ponzi scheme but there's no fun in explaining them.
1587  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is it worth mining bitcoin with a Gaming laptop? on: June 27, 2022, 10:57:30 AM
You are thinking of bitcoin mining on gaming laptop in 2022 which is not at all possible but if you have been into this at earlier days when it was launched then you might be able to do it but now when the ASIC machines are deployed for mining bitcoin with so much computation powers you Rtx don't stand a chance against them.

There are big mining farms with heavy equipment into mining using ASIC machines like this and we are talking about laptop mining which could not help us at all :

The consequences of laptop mining you have seen above also as mining would require your laptop to run for 24x7 without any disruption which will heat it up eventually even it's RTX 2080 single card also which will then cause internal damage to your laptop and most probably within few days only. One of my friend tried it with Alien predator back two years and then it has to be repaired as it was under insurance.

You think of dedicating your laptop to mining so suppose it's $1000 and additional cost of RTX 2070 8gb but what will you gain on daily basis? Few satoshis worth $1-$2 per day so is it profitable according to you?

The Bitmain have been continuously making more improvement to ASIC machines for mining increasing the TH/s for fast hashes calculation and the last post i made about them have this machine

Quote
The mining machine will have a hashrate of 198 TH/s, power efficiency (@ 35°C) of 27.5 joules per terahash (J/TH) and will consume 5445 watts of power, according to a tweet.

In comparison, the previous top-of-the-line Antminer, S19 XP, has a hashrate of 140 TH/s, power efficiency (@ 25°C) of 21.5 J/TH and consumes about 3010 watts.

The new model will also incorporate the “latest liquid cooling technology” and is designed for use with Bitmain's Antspace HK3 mining container.

The adoption of liquid cooling has been increasing in recent years as an alternative to traditional air-cooling, which allows mining machines to be immersed in a synthetic hydrocarbon compound liquid that has no electrical conductivity and is fully biodegradable.

This specialized liquid can reduce heat, power consumption and noise stemming from the computers, as well as prolong the lifespan of the machines, allowing miners to maximize profit in an increasingly competitive market.

So it's not advisable to you to go through this way and best is to find some altcoins for the same purpose but then also the question is how much profitable it would be as you are spending some amount on it including electricity, maintanence cost of your hardware.
1588  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice merit records here - LAST UPDATE: 24/03/2022 on: June 26, 2022, 09:11:19 AM
So here goes one more record for the Discovery of the year and tech geek @n0nce who is having more merit records saved in this thread and moving to next one's preety soon. This time I managed to save his 2700 merit record so congratulations to him for achieving this

Time flies and son does his merit stats  Wink

n0nce 3 merits another 2500 blatant numbers, I'm ready to catch it again Cheesy
1589  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: June 25, 2022, 12:05:34 PM
So we see lot of discussion about the NFT integration with the Rollbit casino and you would see lot of community engagement in it and new players joining the space with this new trend. You have chance to earn passive income with it by staking your rollbots and i found lootboxes quite good way of placing your bets and lottery system so there are lot of benefits for them.
1590  Other / Meta / Re: Trouble posting images? on: June 25, 2022, 11:54:37 AM
I don't know if imgBB will get back to normal and get back to working for hosting images I've posted. Of course it has been an obstacle for me as there are many graphic images I can't appear so far. I don't want to edit it as quickly as possible and prefer to wait a while as some images are still valid while most are not.

What happened exactly?
Don't know what happened exactly with imgbb and recently uploaded the image and it's showing on the forum but don't know if the problem is resolved and the past images will be still visible now.I also can't make changes to the images now and wanted that site have a solution to this problem fast and images are visible.

You can upload images without an account, but Imgur won't allow you to resize them or perform other changes that are available only to registered users. You can also not delete an image you uploaded if you aren't registered. I don't see any ads, but I am using ad-blockers. The site is ad-free on my end.
You can upload the images without account on imgur but there are many other restrictions on it and have found it quite complicated but whereas imgbb is quite easy to upload the image and just copy the BBcode to the forum and it's down now.

I have no idea how many times I had to compromise my privacy with imgur all the past days. It does not work well with TOR. Many of us use the forum in TOR but use clear net to host image. Eventually you are giving away your location and other info to the image hosting site. The forum does not know your location but imgur does.
They are tracking you with IP address tracing while you upload the images and for imgbb also this is privacy statement for them so using them over TOR is fine with the postingimages.org as it's working fine at this time.
1591  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: June 25, 2022, 11:34:43 AM
It's unlikely that I will. Roobet requires mandatory KYC and I really don't need to go down that route when there are plenty of other casinos where that is not a requirement. Not unless you win a decent amount at least. Even the forget password option doesn't work and I never get an email with a link to reset my account password. It's like it was completely wiped from the database.
For sure there are options for those who don't want to go through KYC there are casinos which don't have these requirements. For some inactive players there are bonus also but for long they treat it as inactive account and you have not placed any bet so they might have removed your information from the database.
1592  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why is monero the only recommended privacy coin on this forum? on: June 25, 2022, 11:23:01 AM
Yeah Monero is complete anonymous and transactions can't be traced while using this coin.It is believed that Satoshi was the real founder behind Monero to provide complete anonymity to the users with the different identity of
Nicolas van Saberhagen back in 2013 with the introduction of white paper which you can read here: https://bytecoin.org/old/whitepaper.pdf

It is different from bitcoin and other crypto using public ledger as you can track the wallet address and account through bkockchain in bitcoin but in Monero the case is different as keys are mixed while you make a transactions.

It uses Ring signatures and stealth address while you make transactions to keep up the privacy of the transactions and if you wan to check about how it works read here

But you know many restrictions are imposed on usage of Monero due to AML policies as they want to track you but if you want privacy into bitcoin also then you can use mixing services which many of us use while make transactions to be safe.
1593  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk.org YouTube channel? on: June 25, 2022, 10:31:37 AM
There are many channels with Bitcoin cryptocurrency but it would be nice to have all the information from Bitcointalk.
Those all channels you are talking about are zero base meaning the video host don't have any knowledge about bitcoin and crypto market at all and have clickbait titles to attract the audience and when you open up the video first few minutes are about channel introduction and then they only promote some shitcoins under paid influence and all that crap content.

But the forum already has a youtube channel BitcointalkShow if you could check the above post and lot of discussions have been made about the same but there is no update from few months.

The other youtubers are only paid shillers who are manipulating the viewers under cash grab scheme and then people loose money after following their advice. But the forum channel was producing quality content with variation and liked by many so still hope for next videos.
1594  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — Ultimate VIP experience in Qatar ⚽ 🛳️ 🎁 on: June 24, 2022, 11:43:12 AM
Holy moly canolie Karl! I was just leaving you and this casino some feedback and noticed your post about World Cup, that is so damn awesome! Good luck to anyone who participates, that trip experience alone looks like something huge to talk about for a lifetime. I highly doubt my messy country will even allow us to fly there, or at least in my state we're still fussing about PCR and quarantine while the rest of the world forgot about corona  Roll Eyes

Now my only question to the people and users here is how on earth did I never know there was a Bitcasino Super Yacht?!?!

So are you talking about this one qatar luxury travel? After your post just made some search about it and found it this promotion from the Bitcasino and want to have confirmation about it from the team here so it's legit?

Although I am familiar about VIP Club benefits but this one looks amazing for football fans to have some super experience from the stadium live through Bitcasino.
1595  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk.org YouTube channel? on: June 24, 2022, 11:29:19 AM
Yes, I have seen that topic on top and it reminded me about that youtube channel. Last update - 4 months ago ;-(
Any plans to resurrect that idea? It did not bring any special information, but it was funny to see The Forum from the other perspective.
We all been waiting for the next videos to be uploaded on the channel but still no signs from the @cyrus and the team but if you see the channel was doing good in sharing some information with the audience. We as members know many facts but the general audience who is unaware about it could get aroused by the videos to explore the forum was main idea behind it.But from long time there is no vidoe and this was last video

So if you want to explore the further discussions visit the thread for which the link has been posted above.
1596  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: June 24, 2022, 11:17:08 AM
Weird stuff to say, all you gotta need when you gamble is being lucky and that is all
What I mean are those gambling that does not base on luck. I know how it all weigh to luckiness but for some reason, experience could sometimes help you on decisions while playing. It's kinda weird, yes, but what I want to really emphasize here was the decisions when gambling.
I would say experience matters in the gambling when you are playing some skill based game to make you decide your next move and opponents playing style and many other things. So experience matters but being lucky is top thing in gambling if you are looking for profits.

The account ID? There is no reason to do that and that wouldn't help me regain access. I could contact the support, but like I said, the account isn't important to me because I only created it to check the withdrawal data for my thread.

Roobet introduced mandatory KYC, but I never did it. Maybe my account got deactivated due to inactivity or failing to verify my identity.
Yeah if you are not playing over Roobet then you don't need to worry about these things and the information you are looking for could be easily shared by the existing members as have already done the job.But yes they have introduced KYC for account holder and even if you are small gambler level 1 KYC is mandatory.
1597  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: June 24, 2022, 11:03:31 AM
Rollbot NFT converges lot of things: product concept, product, a big backer behind is Rollbit and really good utility.
This is why both of the sales were successful by the Rollbit even at high prices thinking from small gamblers way as the casino utility is really good source for them to enjoy.Like getting RLB tokens and and free bets even though not much from sports rollbots. So i would say lot better then many NFT's Just selling out images which have no use case.

Other NFT is just for flipping and to unlucky for people who bought last at more expensive price because they don't have any chances to regain because most provably they will struggle to sell what they bought at high price rate. In the case of Rollbit its good to see that they have proper utility with their NFT's because their holders can enjoy some benefits offered to them and they can resell it to other users who want to have the creations made by Rollbit itself.
But if we look at the second sports rollbot sales then they are in loss due to floor down from minting phase also so they can't have flipping benefits you see but could get extra benefits from the sports betting but yes the first V1 holders are still in profits. But speaking about utility then they have surely tried best to make it useful and profitable for the holders with casino business which is impressive work.
1598  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why 21 million? on: June 24, 2022, 10:34:05 AM
See there are many assumptions that why he choose this number of 21 million bitcoin only with all the halving and last bitcoin till 2140 but I would say he well planned everything in advance and have adequate knowledge of what will be the future circumstances.

The first possible explanation of blocks rewards with total time period also seems reasonable justification to me for this Target :

Quote
Calculate the number of blocks per four year cycle:

6 blocks per hour
* 24 hours per day
* 365 days per year
* 4 years per cycle
= 210,240
~= 210,000

Sum all the block reward sizes:

50 + 25 + 12.5 + 6.25 + 3.125 + … = 100

Multiply the two:

210,000 * 100 = 21 million.

Or there could be some other reasons also but i would say keep it the way it is and the things would work fine with complete decentralisation and we still have a century left until we are out of coins.
1599  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ranking up is possible! 2900 Merits earned in less than 12 months! My 11 Hints! on: June 24, 2022, 10:05:07 AM
Wow! That's quite an amazing feat you have achieved. This is remarkable.
I think this will serve as a motivation for most of us who have been in the space for quite some time and yet not being able to rank up that much.

Your have been on the forum from 2018 but you was part of the bounty campaigns only and you recent posts also shows that which are not way to rank up on the forum but only a way to earn some useless tokens. You are now moving towards general discussion on the forum but ask yourself will you stick to it or continue your bounty campaign?

Your have received only 1 merit on this post and that also back in 2018 so was it so tough to gain more in 4 years time period? The forum journey is entirely different if you ask and @fillippone has worked lot on achieving what he has shared with you guys and if you seriously are motivated through his post then try having look on his other posts as well and researching more about useful topics on forum to make some good post other than bounty reports only.
1600  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Over-Speeding Kills, Always Slow Down When Driving A Car on: June 23, 2022, 12:35:09 PM
At this time i am more surprised to see that he was doing all this while driving which could have resulted in some other major loss and could have been danger to others on the road. What was so important that he didn't want to waste few minutes for making the transactions?

Second if the address was on clipboard then he might have done a recent trade with that particular address which was last copied and he didn't bother to have a look for it but he can try to submit an application to Binance support team with his account information and Txid or look on block explorer for the transaction but don't think so they will help. They have stated that be careful while making these transactions and check for the right address.

We need to realise that funds and our life both are important and we can't joke with them through these irresponsible tasks but he is safe that's good as in panic State of mind driving is dangerous but keep him calm and advice him to be more careful while doing these things.
