I marked them as not in use with neutrals so it should help them not confuse anyone.

I think that's enough. Anyone can clearly see the message you left on those accounts and no one will be able to remove it.
I think it is unlikely that someone would get access to those accounts by accident if you had a strong enough password on them.
2322  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wrong foot on bitcointalk on: June 10, 2022, 07:30:55 AM
Unfortunately, this is a very common happen where the first thing newbies come here is about joining bounties, which are sometimes worthless because they cannot choose the legit one. Moreover, right now, there are only a few bounties that really pay and legit. mostly they are shit projects without any value and cannot be listed in any exchanges, getting no rewards after working for months, and many others.

You are right, it is better to learn as much as possible at first here. So you can be more open minded and see every chance here to do what should do.

+1!

This is definitely the main weakness of our Bitcointalk forum. It's great in an overall sense, I love the community. But yeah, it seems really bad when you see a whole bunch of newbies joining bounties. It seems like they are mainly driven by greed. With a short amount of time they do not even realize their mistake and wonder why the karma is so low in their transactions. It's really sad that people come to such an active community to do that. They think they will earn a lot of money. But that is not how bounty programs work at all nowadays. Right now it's basically worse than it has ever been, it's a total mess. Thanks for pointing that out.
2323  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bounties and Airdrops on: June 10, 2022, 07:19:09 AM
Bounty and AirDrop are the two easiest ways to earn income in the current 2022. Again many will say don't waste time working on these But I think if you give your free time here then hopefully at the end of the month you will get some good money Airdrop now cheats a lot but Bounty cheats less than that If you use your leisure time then hopefully you will get something good from this place I have been on this path since 2015And I'm now a Success Cryptocurrency Man

I'm not so sure about that. Can you give at least one example where you got good money at the end of the month from a bounty or airdrop? I may be wrong, but it seems like a complete waste of time. It seems more likely that you will make a couple of dollars from any other given task than from doing a bounty for some shitcoins. And if you get only a couple of dollars that's no good, the reward does not come close to replacing the effort that you need to put in for this to be a worthwhile activity.
2324  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can this be called a warning as spreading the virus? on: June 10, 2022, 06:55:30 AM
In my opinion, this was simply meant to attract attention. 137.21GB of data? There must be a lot of transcripts of the conversations.
Anyway, I would download the files to find out what it is all about. There is no harm in downloading, even if it is a virus.
2325  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betfamous - sports betting contests - create your challenges - crypto stablecoin on: June 10, 2022, 06:25:23 AM
2.OP is doing the same mistake as many other gambling business owners-website isn't fully functional, announcement thread isn't good enough, no FAQ and ToS posted on the website, etc... I hope that he will solve all those problems in a timely manner.

I agree. It is better to make a fully functional website first and then the trek start advertising it. Gambling startups are faced with fierce competition and it's a no win situation to show potential users your site without it being fully ready. Many gambling startups launch their site before they have the infrastructure in place and fail to attract clients. It doesn't work like that, especially if you are operating in an online casino niche.

Anyway, betting contests seem like an interesting concept, but I don't think that many gamblers would agree to launch their own betting contest. Your website doesn't have enough traffic and a big community of active users. Most contests will end up without players(or maybe 2-3 players maximum).
Good luck with this project, OP.

Like you said, you have to have a solid strategy on how to generate more traffic and users, not only by posting the contest on gambling forums. You need to show that it's interesting for players to take part in your gambling contests and competitions, and at the same time attract more users for the site. This is where marketing techniques come in play. It's important to understand your target audience, what they will like to do in the gambling world, and what is the best way to appeal to them.

Another brainless shill spewing nonsense as usual. Is there some factory out there which produces idiots like you regularly? Why can't you shills come up with a single logical argument to defend your beloved site?

If you put all these 1xbit idiots on ignore, this thread looks a lot better (actually the whole Gambling section looks better).

edit:

Due to the reason stated in my comment above, I didn't see your reply before.

If you don't have any constructive to add just shut your mouth up.

I just wanted to ask; Is this an example of exemplary parenting that you mentioned before?
2327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: June 06, 2022, 08:15:31 PM
There have been many surprising results in the UEFA Nations League so far. I assume that the biggest teams don't care about this tournament too much. I don't see many of them caring about this tournament as much as the World Cup or the EURO. There is a nice match today which has just started by the way. It is between Croatia and France. Croatia have an advantage of playing a home match now but they are facing a very tough opponent anyway. France and them both didn't start well to this tournament. Both of them would like to win but I don't expect France to lose this.

It is the 66th minute of the match. France leads 1:0 with Adrien Rabiot on the scoreboard. Croatia is still trying. They are pressing forward. This is a good chance for them to change the momentum in the game. They need to score soon. Modric has an attempt on goal but Maignan makes a save.

Why are 1xbet and 1xbit associated?

It is a known fact that they are both part of the same company, and there is already ample evidence, both on this forum and elsewhere. It might be a good idea for you to do your own research.

Hopefully the site will be back online soon.

Hopefully it won't. Nothing good can come from this site.
2329  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: June 05, 2022, 08:12:18 PM
I feel like the comments are archanment, from what I've seen 1xbet has caused a lot of problems for its users I've never been one of them so I don't know, BUT 1xbit I've been there since August 2018 never any problems...

There is no difference between the two sites. Essentially, both sites run on the same platform and are owned by the same company, but are under different domain names. 1XBit is an unlicensed version of 1XBET to circumvent various countries' restrictions. In fact, all the problems you mention really come from the 1XBET security department that handles payouts. So-called "support" from 1xBit doesn't have any control over them.
2330  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much do you care when you wear a commercial Signature? on: June 04, 2022, 09:59:24 PM
<...> Because I saw a few signature participants (1xbit) got tagged because they promoted scam websites.

There is no need to compare 1xbit campaigns and their participants with any other campaign on the forum.

It has been proved that 1xBit is a scam casino. Their signature campaign on this forum is fake, and all participating accounts are alt accounts hired as part of bumping services. You will not find any genuine members there.
2331  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: June 04, 2022, 09:52:51 PM
This could be an effective approach but I guess even if we boycott the Russian gambling platforms, it still couldn't stop the war because aside from taxes from gambling, they still have lots of resources to support their current war. Innocent lives are already suffering from what is happening to their country but I believe that this too shall pass. The sad thing is, that this war could continuously take more lives.
Although it did not have any effect on Russia from the boycott of the gambling platform but it is only a small effort on our part not to support war on Ukrainian territory. I hope the war will end soon because many soldiers and civilians have fallen victim to the war without knowing when it will end.

You're right. We must think about this.

According to experts from the Yale Institute, almost 1,000 companies have publicly announced they are voluntarily curtailing operations in Russia to some degree beyond the bare minimum legally required by international sanctions.
source: https://som.yale.edu/story/2022/almost-1000-companies-have-curtailed-operations-russia-some-remain

This will not seriously affect the country’s economy, because there are still a lot of companies working in Russia and Russia is a country rich with resources. But it’s an obvious political step, which is very important. And, it's an obvious step from a human point of view.
2332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can a new sportsbook gain trust? on: June 04, 2022, 08:19:09 PM
Without a doubt once a service reaches a certain point then it is inevitable that complains are going to surge against it, however as you say that is not really a problem, what we need to watch is how the service deals with those complains? And if they do so in a way that leaves both parties satisfied then without a doubt we are in a presence of a good casino, however if they fail to give good customer support and we see that the one which is complaining is right then without a doubt this can affect the reputation of the casino in question.

AS said, there are a number of components that play a key role in the customer experience and as it is well known, customer service should be  one of the top priorities of every casino, which is why it is so important that each one of them provides their customers with the best customer experience possible. But what differentiates a good customer service from a bad customer service?

Some of the factors that can come into play are :
The right attitude towards customers
A clear and open communication with the customer
A very detailed customer service policy that is written down and becomes clear for every customer to follow and understand
The personal approach and the care
Relevant service knowledge and expertises
A positive and friendly attitude that always puts customers first

Obviously this list of components is endless and as the said they can come into play to a certain degree in any business, however, in my opinion and with respect to the casino, the elements in this list should not be missing from any casino’s customer service policy.

If you have other suggestions, you can post it after this post and I'll edit this post to add the other suggestion.

I guess promotions and perks are always welcome, from the player's point of view, so I vote for numbers 4 and 5. I know this is not a poll but since I don't have any new suggestions, I support the above. In my opinion, these two suggestions are the only ones that can directly affect the number of customers on the platform.
2334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction "DDOS" on: June 04, 2022, 07:39:52 PM
DDOS with Bitcoin transaction, it's a weird term, I have never heard about it. Do you imply about dust attacks?
<...>

I think he's referring to the Flood attack.

Quote
A flood attack is the process of sending thousands of transactions to "flood" the mempool, filling new blocks to the maximum size of 1MB, and subsequently delaying other transactions.

However, as already explained above, this would not stop the network, but would only delay some transactions and increase transaction fees. Eventually, the attacker would run out of money and everything would return to normal, so all the effort would be for nothing.

I take it back to start a new life in this forum, hoping to get proper guide on where to start from so that I can learn and contribute to the forum too as others.

Yeah, one could even say: There is a lot more to this forum than meets the eye. You just have to keep exploring and reading. Wink

Anyway, you've taken a step in the right direction by exploring the forum more deeply than what your friend showed you. And now it's your turn to show your friend something new.
2336  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies and their Bounty scams on: June 04, 2022, 06:49:04 PM
The questions here are:
  • Can this be right?
  • Can this be a good project that will pay?
  • What are their objectives for running such Campaigns?

Not all bounties worth doing. Always analyse all bounty and do your own research on them before joining to avoid waste of time and resources.

These examples you cited do not necessarily mean newbie bounty managers. As far as I can see, some of the projects have decided to run their campaigns on their own. This means that the bounty manager is a member of their team, or even the developer himself. Obviously they have some knowledge of how bounty campaigns work and it is possible to use an alt account to run a campaign and promote a project.

Whether these are good campaigns or not is hard to say. Just know, a respectable campaign manager does not automatically mean a good campaign. There are a number of campaigns that have turned out to be a scam run by a well-known bounty manager.

Thank you for the warm welcome  Kiss
Now I'm just wondering how I can collect merit so that I can also upload pictures  Huh

You don't need Jr. Member rank to upload images now. Since you have already purchased Cooper Member, this allows you, among other things, to post images. See here:

Copper: Allows you to post images even if you are a newbie, reduces the time-between-actions limit, and provides some of the same benefits as being of natural Member rank.

How do you feel when the bear market is happening and do you hate it?.

Cypto market is a very exciting but it is also volatile and there are pitfalls to it. Bitcoin, some say is too volatile. I myself did not go wild with my investments. I am happy and I am doing my regular investing and I enjoy when market is down so I can buy some more coins.

We all know that this is not the end of this story, and there will be huge bull run in the future. So don’t be upset when the Bitcoin bear market is happening and don’t hate it. Just sit back and relax and wait for the Bitcoin bull market to hit you.
2339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is BTC really safe from being hijacked? on: June 04, 2022, 06:19:11 PM
How difficult (expensive, realistic, etc) would it be for the US gubmint to buy up enough mining power to hijack the network, change the rules, and send it all to zero?

I don't know much about the technical side either, but I followed a simple calculation based on this website to get a rough estimate.

The current Target Hashrate on the Bitcoin network is 200,000,000.00 TH/s.
The most powerful hardware currently on the market (although not yet available) is BITMAIN AntMiner S19 XP Hyd. with Max. Hashrate of 255 TH/s (specified)
Required Equipment = Target Hashrate / Hardware Hashrate = 200,000,000.00 / 255 ≈ 784,300 Units.
Hardware Cost = 784,300 Units * USD 19,890.00 = USD 15,599,727,000.00
Assuming Electricity Price is USD 0.01 per kWh :
Electricity Cost = 784,300 circuits * 5.30 kWh * USD 0.01 = USD 41,567.90/hour or USD 1M/day

So, according to this rough calculation, to carry out a successful 51% attack on the Bitcoin network with said hardware would cost at least $ 15.6 billion in hardware and at least $ 1 million a day in electricity costs.

~Snip
I fear that we should not be really losing hope about bitcoin, the price going down sounds like losing hope about bitcoin and it should not be like that, you should be trusting it to go up again.
Optimistic, yes we have to stay optimistic about something good on the bitcoin price. In the long term there will probably be no doubt, but some concerns are possible in the short term. I believe the price will recover and we will see a break of resistance, but it may take some time for that given that several attempts towards the $35K level still failed after dump to $26K on May 12th.

I am keeping my previous optimistic projections for the next week and think that in the very near future we could see the price pushing to $35K. But, breaking through the $30,500 resistance is the first and most critical step here. If this resistance level is broken, we can expect to see a short term rally to the $32,000 level with a lot of money flowing back into the bullish direction. Let's see where it takes us then…
