2321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Just a Question... on: October 24, 2020, 02:50:52 PM
I haven't seen any Gamblig Platform who used Telegram for Promotions, most I know is that they use Discord.
Do you have any Idea why they don't have any Telegram Communities? and why does it seem they don't use this platform for their promotions?

We don't know but there can be countless reasons.

-They can communicate p2p with potential clients, telegram is something that not all users have downloaded already.
-They believe it's not better to use telegram since they don't trust the users there or might have other issues.
-at the same time in discord there are genuine players, players who care about the gaming and such therefore better option for them
-personal preference
- maybe they know something that we don't??? Something about marketing ?? If the business is blooming I do think that these gambling companies are finding good people to work with.

It doesn't matter where you can advertise , what matters is , if it's working out for you, your company and what are the stats ??

If they keep using that for years , then I do believe that it's good for them. There are even many fake users and scams on telegram.
2322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling could be used to pay for covid problems on: October 23, 2020, 06:10:14 PM
New tax measures for online businesses have been proposed in almost every country because the Government needed new source of funds. They won't be able to collect much from traditional businesses (non-essentials) because we already know they've been hit hard by the pandemic too. Online selling and gambling have been the most profitable that's why these proposals are to be expected.

Is this essential?
For the Government, yes. For the gamblers, No.

Would it affect the online casinos?
It depends on the jurisdiction. Casinos are only liable to the country where they got their license if I'm not mistaken. Changes in policies in countries like UK, Germany, or Malta won't affect online casinos approved by the Curacao Government.

Most bitcoin/crypto casinos here are registered in Curacao, I guess the answer is no?

I do believe that even if most of the casinos are situated outside the country the rule will apply on people who are going to use them. Even if someone from Europe decides to use the casinos the rules will be applicable on them and therefore I believe this is important for all of us.

If someone is going to use them , they are going to pay for the extra charges related to the laws concerned. If the government decides that the casinos have to pay 5% of the total funds deposited or something like that , they will make sure that people have to at least pay 3.5% since the margin is not as good for them too.

Plus the registration of Curacao is weird since they don't even allow their own citizens to play , there was a whole topic about it .. anyways if it will affect people it will affect the casinos itself.
2323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Online Gambling could be used to pay for covid problems on: October 23, 2020, 04:21:21 PM
I don't know if it has been shared or not , but Europe is considering to tighten the laws of Gambling especially the online ones. They want to **regulate** it , which actually means that they want these online gambling casinos to pay up the government somehow.

https://www.euroweeklynews.com/2020/10/22/will-european-countries-regulate-online-gambling-to-pay-for-covid-19/

We already have laws regarding these casinos but I do believe for the government it is not enough.

Pros:
 1. Can help regulate the spam casinos
 2. People will have security
 3. They will be protected by the laws

Cons:
 1. People will have to actually pay up more indirectly for extra charges
 2. No privacy

`````````````````````````````````````````
What do you think ?
Is this essential? Would it affect the online casinos?
2324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why criminals still use Bitcoin? on: October 23, 2020, 03:11:40 PM
There are a lot of reasons but I do believe that some of them might be :
- lack of education about transparency of bitcoins
- easily accessible
- most popular
- misconceptions about bitcoins eg: it makes a person rich overnight and such , thus people wants to get involved
- sale of virgin coins by the miners
- blending services easily accessible
There are many more things that one might add , but most of these hackers and criminals get caught very often.
2325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UK Company adopts Bitcoin as treasury reserve assets on: October 23, 2020, 02:07:11 PM
Do Bitcoins have the ability to give up Volatility?
- I believe No
Therefore if these companies are putting them up as a treasure assets then I do believe they are not interested in the short term holding but rather they want to extend and believe that bitcoins is going to reach great heights in the future. These companies are not small thing , they have various professionals working with them, advising them. Therefore the companies are slowly getting used to the idea of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoins because they are here to stay for long. This is a positive step and would even influence other people to get involved with bitcoins.
But then again we have a big question here :
Would they work for the benefit of bitcoins or will infact keep the profit of the company as priority.
Since they can very easily modify the price of the market for their personal profits.
2326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think this is the start of mass adoption in Bitcoin? or Nah? on: October 22, 2020, 06:48:17 PM
Mass adoption of bitcoins is not an option until and unless more than 50% of the population theoretically uses the crypto.
We have 16% of the world population living without electricity and even much more without internet , to make cryptocurrencies like Bitcoins more acceptable we have to make sure to include these basic needs and it needs to start with education.
We still have decades when people will start using the online banking regularly since despite the option most people around the age of 40-50 and up , prefer traditional banking.
I know nothing about mass adoption right now. But I do know that it's getting excessively famous with regards to people who are tech savvy or the one's looking for an investment opportunities.
At the same time due to pandemic it have helped a lot of people to find work, go international therefore people have a positive image with regards to bitcoins right now. Give it more time , more freedom then we can think about the mass adoption.
2327  Economy / Economics / Re: Why has crypto failed to break through still? on: October 22, 2020, 05:28:18 PM
It took years for people to believe that earth revolved around sun and not the other way around.
It took decades for people to get used to the idea of science. Even though we are living in 2020 people still take time getting used to the idea, we have not yet Solved the problems of the real world.
Hunger
Poverty
Lack of electricity
Lack of education
Lack of employment etc...
If since 2009 ,this forum was built to an extent that it hangs every once in a while due to overcrowding. I believe we have somehow succeed to grab the attention. There are millions of users ! Literally, millions !
It hasn't been long but I do believe that it is working out great for the whole thing and in the future we will be able to get used to this more . Right now only the restrictions by the government is holding the cryptocurrencies back.
2328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is DeFi really a threat to centralized finance? on: October 22, 2020, 01:10:08 PM
As long as decentralized cryptocurrencies functions independently, without the need of bank accounts, without the need of master cards for transactions regarding trading and such, they cannot be considered a threat to centralized bodies.
The decentralized system is entirely different and doesn't have that high of an acceptance rate which ultimately leads people to invest in the centralized bodies. At the same time it does need internet which is not available everywhere and everytime. For us it might be a normal thing but trust me , a large number of population is within internet, without even electricity. Those people do need the simple traditional centralized investments.
Decentralized economy like cryptocurrencies is most likely a luxury which we all have , use and earn through but we cannot just ignored the fact that centralized economic is more or so as important as the decentralized one , or maybe even more ?
2329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: October 21, 2020, 12:08:11 PM
It is very common.
Always keep a plan in line , if you did loose considerably make sure that you have a back up game or games if you may. Games like :
Crash
Or skill games like : Black Jack
If you have lost a considerable amount you should realize that it's time to switch from those fun games to these ones.
Now why crash ?
- see you can make small bets and withdraw even after 3 seconds , 2 seconds , 1 second , you will still win. Be faster than the Canon , as fast as it goes you have to be alert and just withdraw fast. Keep on doing that for a long time .... See it takes time for sure but it's fool proof , even if you make small bets you will be okay in matter of 30 min-1 hour.
There are many other games like for me it's Crash , you might have a game that you are good at. The one you have some method of winning. Use them !
Plus if the loss is too serious , STOP.
Learn how to STOP.
( I do believe a good gambler is the one who understands when he needs to rest for a while. )
Control your brain , don't let it control you.
2330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Darkside Hackers donating Bitcoins on: October 21, 2020, 09:34:42 AM
Few days back I read in the newspaper headlines:
Christian community raised enough money to get a person who shot a black man out of jail, whereas satan's worshipers were distributing masks and such.
We cannot name a man, we cannot name a community.
If hackers decided to do that , that were aware that :
1. This can be used against them , their addresses can be traced and thus they will be in trouble
See , hacking and illegal activities are never right ofcourse, but I believe they are just trying to take a lesson from Money heist and trying to make people like them.
-The problem is they want the whole community to know that they are donating
-so it's not just a matter of donation but a matter of morals too
- they might be doing something good but at the end it's negative eventually for the people who would be involved with this money
-if you want to do something good but illegally , "be quiet"
This is a funny situation but I believe they should just accept the money and encash, send over the address from which they received to the police if they are too worried but at the end help the kids !
2332  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Segwit Adoption. I looked at some data, and we are not there yet. on: October 19, 2020, 07:07:28 PM
See not all people support SegWit , there are countless articles on the internet stating how it's a super bad thing and is destroying the system itself. I will quote one below :
Quote
“Segregated witness is systematically destroying everything good and worthwhile about Bitcoin: segwit is inelegant and complicated; it creates two parallel sets of rules for evaluating transactions, but ignores one of them. Segwit breaks Bitcoin’s security by empowering miners and anyone who can coerce them to steal balances. And segwit is breaking the Bitcoin ecosystem up, causing people to fork the blockchain just to avoid using it, and destroying the mind share, confidence, and name recognition in Bitcoin.”
-snip-
Well apparently I don't know much about this guy but he seems to have a lot of problems with segWit , but being a software developer he should understand for a fact that , these things needs to adapt, if the transaction fee of bitcoins doesn't have a solution soon , it will have problems for the people for sure. People will opt for other solutions.
This is a 3 year old article.
By that time, bitcoin was forking into bitcoin and bch.
There was a lot of misinformation around the web to promote BCH fork. There was also a lot of uncertainty about bitcoin future, segwit, blocksize and so on. This article was one of those that promoted misinformation. Nobody would ever publish an article like that today.
If you look back 3 years ago, all bch drama and discussion about blocksize/segwit may look ridiculous. But there were a lot of early bitcoin  holders and adopters who were mislead into by buying BCH.
Yes, but I have seen some people who still insists on using normal addresses, but at the same time samourai wallet is like the most secure , most private one that I ever used , it was suggested by someone on this forum years back and I still use it till now.
Even though the article is like 3 years old but it still appears on the front page , no one even thought about updating it , nor there was any additional information and such.
I believe the only disadvantage of segWit is :
It's limits your choices since most wallets don't support it.
°~°
I believe with time those people for sure exchanged their coins in BTC now.
The problem is , if a newbie , if a non tech person , who just joined searches on google , this is what he will get , which unfortunately is misleading as you said it , that is why I said I would leave this discussion for tech experts.
-maybe someone should start making blog ? Share opinions and stuff there ? Since there are many limited positive articles regarding it. Which might influence the usage too.
This statement is made by a guy Nathan :
Well apparently I don't know much about this guy but he seems to have a lot of problems with segWit , but being a software developer he should understand for a fact that , these things needs to adapt, if the transaction fee of bitcoins doesn't have a solution soon , it will have problems for the people for sure. As for me I do use SegWit to send/recieve but there are many wallets and exchanges who doesn't support it therefore that's a downside and limits my options.
I believe we do have a serious matter of discussion here, the advantages and disadvantages of segWit. Since am not a professional nor qualified to even answer this , I would leave it for the fellow techno experts.
1.. Which one do you prefer, Casino gambling or online gambling?
2. How much money are you willing to spend on gambling?
3. How do you manage your lose streak or win streak?
4. If you will have $1000, what game in the casino you are going to play?
5. What is the best advice that you can give to a gambler?
- I prefer online gambling because it gives user more privacy and I can use bitcoins there too , I don't have to convert them into some currency they would accept and it doesn't have legal/ illegal issues in many places
- It depends on the condition of the family the following time , if I have enough I believe I don't mind spending 10-15% of the income.
-If I loose a lot , I play games like crash and use small bets , encash too soon and it takes a while to collect all the money but when am done ✅ I just play normally or encash
-$1000 ...hmm...I believe I would save them instead of going to the casino , then use them in btc , use the profit eventually for the casinos and keep 1000$ as reserve
- don't over gamble ! Use strategy! See the games that you are good at , learn card counting! There are games that you can win by skills, so play them when you don't feel lucky.
Yes I believe what you said about the addiction is right but at the end of the day it starts with you and ends with you and until and unless you don't let it get to your head you are good to go.
2335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Card Counting in Blackjack on: October 19, 2020, 04:57:54 PM
I remember the time I was hung up on the card counting thing the reason was the movie , hangover. Then I thought it was supposed to be a faux and tried to actually search regarding it. Card counting is being used since decades. But it's just a mathematical trick to increase your chances of winning. Just like we use probability to see if we will have higher odds of winning the thing.
One should know that :
Card counting is not illegal but it's definitely frowned upon in most casinos. But if you do it without being caught then for sure you can win huge sums of money and at the same time if you are playing black jack online , you need to know what card counting is !!
While in an offline casino , be non obvious, it's just +/- that anyone can master with some time.
2336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin investment stage on: October 19, 2020, 04:07:50 PM
ICO stage ?
Are you sure ?
How can you even decide any stage of bitcoins when it's non centralized and doesn't even have a central authority which influences the price. At the same time the ICO's are way different. They need a lot of support , trust and there is again a lot of competition.
But bitcoins have already gained all of this and it's actually amazing to see the growth since 2009. Most of the ICO's generally die in a while and 5K is not going to be the typical price. How would you even come to that point ? Due to Demand and Supply the price is ofcourse going to climb up very soon. There might be some downs but at the end ofcourse it is going to be good for the long term holders.
2337  Economy / Economics / Re: Today is the Way when world economy will show on: October 19, 2020, 03:19:05 PM
Today the World economy
USA stock market is just a dip of the ice Berg.
Uk situation,  the banks talking about taking loan and print money, Sorry but there will be no money for uk. Uk is not qualified on this time to get loan.
USA will be last Country and this money will be spent fast.
Hint: Dow down 2000-3000 points*
If we want more answers then we should look Back years ago how the western countries economies got raped, now the results are here
After 3 days USA will call all the debt in *
But its not end its beginning of Everything*
Canada and USA will struggle first.
But there will be no money for Canada either*
The 3 tril will go in europe and in stocks and in cryptocurrency. From Federal reserve*
I think I said all ready too much !!
But I go and maybe I Come Back after 3 days here by then a lot should be happened.
When we are talking about USA, Canada and Europe these countries are actually better well on due to the pandemic. What about countries like :
Africa
These countries are actually in a bigger problem and people are not able to even make through a normal day , at least  these countries are able to give stimulus bills , enough to not have people starve. But we unfortunately ignore the worst hit nations.
Plus these countries have a problem , they rely on heavy import of food products which are the most essential during a pandemic and these countries have problems with job production.
Education
Jobs
Food production
We need them !
2338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you use to bet IPL in India? on: October 19, 2020, 11:06:24 AM
On a side note :
When I was studying in India I used to have a teacher whose side business was betting on IPL , since government have like 1000 regulations he had a room inside his house with a bit TV and such and people would make calls , gather , drink and bet offline p2p. It was funny since from time to time police would come and take him to jail and release him the next day.
If you are thinking about betting online in India you have to consider this :
Quote
Betting or gambling is illegal in most of India. But there is no law that makes online betting an illegal activity. ... The Indian Premier League (IPL) tops their lists now and some websites have even hooked up with offshore betting agencies, thereby allowing Indians to place online bets.
(taken directly from google)
- online betting is not illegal
- therefore you should look for a local business this way it would be more convenient for you
- maybe you can start one too ??
- check laws locally !!
2339  Economy / Economics / Re: usa dollar future on: October 19, 2020, 09:33:42 AM
See I believe :
USD is not a winner but a tool used by politicians who are not capable enough to handle a country.
The reason they are printing so much and giving people stimulus and such is because of the upcoming elections , which might make people think that they are safe and secure with the current government .
They aren't creating jobs !
They are not funding medical doctors or staff
They are creating racial disputes
They are not encouraging people to use masks, they are saying things about how till the next holiday everything will be normal. Unbelievable , is this how you run a country?
They might be too dumb to even play this card what you are mentioning.
2340  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis will be new normal but its not bad on: October 19, 2020, 06:27:25 AM
Firstly am pretty sure that the crisis in the US itself won't define the crisis which is happening all around the world. In countries the situation is far more worse , US is kind of in a better off category one should understand that. The Hyperinflation would not affect the US itself more than it will affect the small countries which are holding huge stocks of the USD. Most developing countries don't even have enough coronavirus facilities to be testing each and very patient.
The things is : US have : Time , money , attention but they are not handling the situation well.
In lieu of the elections the people are too set on opening the public places and at the same time maybe distribute stimulus again , but unfortunately they are going towards the wrong direction. Plus I don't think there are so many drug addicts that we know of and actually people do have certain amount of power over the whole thing for sure.
