1361  Other / Off-topic / Re: Sponsored Money (Twitch/Youtuber) on: August 30, 2021, 03:37:58 PM
Do you have the list that which twitch/youtuber are sponsored by certain gambling website ?

Feedback : was hoping that for website like Stake actually do show that the streamer is playing with 'Sponsored' Money / own money , as sometime it quite confusing people was rolling 1k++ per spin or purchasing 50k bonus buy .

Even if there is a list like that somewhere, what are the chances of it being true ?

If you do say that the whole video is sponsored then you have to understand the fact that they will try to hide it as much as they can, which might mean we can never trust anyone regarding anything of that sort.

What we can do right now is, see small channels on YouTube and other sites and from there you can very easily sort out, which things are sponsored and which are not, most people will loose a lot and it would be natural 😂in contrast to these people winning ten folds.
1362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The life span of bitcoin is till infinity on: August 30, 2021, 03:18:28 PM
When i flashbacks far 2013 and 2014, within that range far back i remember how people were castigating bitcoin as a means of extortion of money, and also a means of scamming peoples money, but today everyone is interested to invest in cryptocurrency and more especially in bitcoin, because from what i observed from little bitcoin seminar program i hosted in my geographical domain even a nursing mother that is approximately forty to forty eight (40-48) years is interested to invest with bitcoin and children in school is already knows what is bitcoin, so with this length of bitcoin awareness in my society i think BTC can stay till infinity.
I would rather say that there is nothing like infinity but at the end of the day people have to realize that if they do make sure that things are updated on time and if they make sure that people respect the whole system then at the end of the day there is nothing that needs to be discarded and especially bitcoins since bitcoins is way evolved as compared to today's time and at the same time we will have to make a lot of changes in the lightning network because there are a lot of business which are very open towards bitcoins therefore I do think that this can happen but it depends on government, people, modifications that might be on the way.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Affiliates (Paid Streamers) - Fair or Not to other non-paid gamblers? on: August 30, 2021, 02:48:29 PM
Most of the players or the gamblers who are paid at the ones who are really into the whole thing and are good at it, they are streaming for a while and have maintained their image in the industry. Therefore I think this might be taken as a form of advertising. Which is completely okay, this is something that all the big companies do very often. The advertisements we see on televisions are all based on something like that, so I do believe that we cannot make a fair argument against them until and unless the contract states that they have to be really +ve about everything, they have to only say good things about the game/casino. If the review is fair then there is nothing that should be considered wrong on the first place.
1364  Economy / Economics / Re: First U.S. Bitcoin mutual fund launched by ProFunds on: August 30, 2021, 02:44:02 PM
Watching, very interesting and about damn time I'd say.
Yeah, but IMO it's still much better to own those sats the article talked about and keep them in your own wallet.  On the other hand, because this is a mutual fund my guess is that it's going to find its way into people's retirement accounts (if they opt for high-risk investments).  That's a good thing for people who want some exposure to bitcoin but, for whatever reason, don't want to go out and buy it and keep it safe.

What I don't like is this:

ProFund decided to utilise a product already available for professional investor and repackage it to sell to retail investors (minimum investment is only 1,000 USD.
And that's exactly what they're doing: repackaging something and no doubt tacking a fee on top of it, then selling it to people who could probably buy actual bitcoin much cheaper.  Although it's understandable that a mutual fund wouldn't want to buy bitcoin outright (assuming they have an enormous amount of money to play with, which would move the market), I still don't like the idea of a derivative of a derivative being sold to the public, because most of them wouldn't know the difference.

Bitcoin Magazine, eh?  Is that the same one that used to have a print edition a few years ago?

When the companies decide to repackage something that is not needed, which can very easily be used by itself, I do think that it's High time that the people realize that they are very much capable of doing all this, investing in Bitcoins is as easy as buying stuff online and at the same time, their privacy is more often compromised!

Finally, Profunds surpassed 10 Millions dollars of AUM:

What I noticed is some kind of "trading" activity on this fund, with even some net outflows from the funds in the last few days.
I don't know if a pension fund can be seen as a "trading object", but this fact puzzles me quite a little bit.

Trading is something that is never 100% positive, plus doing it with the pension funds!! Really?? I do not know why they would even do something like that since this is more like keeping all these funds on the stake and loosing them maybe instantly, it's not sure, but that might happen.

Pension fund= stability and what they are trying to do here is not really ideal.
1365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling ombudsman - do you feel protected? on: August 30, 2021, 01:13:00 PM
I think this question is two folds, for people who are not doing anything wrong and are playing in the bounds of the rules and regulations then they have nothing to be afraid of and I do think those people might have no probelms with it.
But when we are talking about the people who generally take privacy a lot more serious then for then this might be a really big problem and also there are people who try and do whatever they can to earn money which generally does not always involve being in rules and regulations so for them this question is atrocious.
For me, I personally don't mind as long as privacy is not compromised.
1366  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a possibility of a Country to ban access to Crypto games? on: August 30, 2021, 09:59:43 AM
Government can ban anything that they think is somehow not according to their rules and regulations and something that might cause them to loose their powers. When we are talking about the NFT games then you have to realize that, these games are usually something that people cannot trace 50% of the times and if someone does win and still tries to evade tax then it would have probelm for the overall community and not just that person alone.
I do think you should not think much about it and enjoy it as long as you are able to. Since if it gets banned there would honestly be nothing that can be done for a while, using VPN might not be a good idea, therefore I do think that they might reevaluate their decisions later on.
1367  Economy / Economics / Re: The lending problem on: August 30, 2021, 04:24:33 AM
A simple question to the forum - I hope that people can provide sensible answers, since it would be way too easy to preach rather than to reason.

It has been mentioned many times in the forum that banks can be killed by bitcoin and that crypto is a threat for central banks, etc... One of the reasons that make me doubt about that possibility is the worldwide need of having a strong lending and borrowing system. I think that currently DeFi does not offer a realistic solution and that lending eventually has to rely on an intermediary. That, in some way or under a different name, is a bank.

How is this problem addressed currently and how could it be solved at large scale without a "bank" of shorts?
Addressing the question regarding: Lending
The reason we do need third parties are because of the lack of *trust*, which is honestly right, you cannot just expect people to give the money back if they are not monitored and that is the whole point of the administration.
We can for sure come up with something where there can be organized documents being generated by both parties and where they would have to submit their real passport or something. That can only be accessible to two of them and if they do choose to not give money then it should be acceptable by the government as well.
1368  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigeria leads sub-Saharan Africa’s P2P bitcoin trade on: August 29, 2021, 10:03:51 PM
This is a clear example of what we usually say about authoritarian Governments trying to ban cryptocurrencies: that it ends up useless to try to stem the tide.

BTW, does anybody know which African country has more P2P bitcoin trade than Nigeria? as title says sub-Saharan, it implies that there may be some other countries from other regions in Africa where this kind of trade is even more common?
The funny thing is that the government made it harder for them to even try and track the people, with p2p it's always too hard to get locations and at the same time they can also do it internationally with the Nigerians living outside the country, which I have seen personally. So the government indirectly made sure that people use Bitcoins independently and don't rely on any third party apps too. So therefore I do think in few years the government might have to try and reincorporate the bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies because banning is clearly not working out for them in a healthy way. Let's see how long they might have to wait for something like that to happen.
1369  Economy / Economics / Re: A way to make money online? on: August 29, 2021, 07:57:42 PM
Im looking for a way to make money online. I have a website in development but I would like to find a way to make some extra cash while the website is in development. I would just like it to not be Surveys, or Dropshipping. Got any ideas?

Surveys are an absolute waste of time at least 90% , you do have to understand that people usually do surveys a lot of but get paid- nothing. I do think the best way to make money online would be:
Teaching , Tutoring
Freelancing
Advertising
Working on bitcointalk.org
Trading
Selling your services on various sites.
It's basically a very big question which only you can answer, ask yourself *what you are good at?*,*what can you do better than anyone?* Plus now a days you can also find a lot of online jobs because of pandemic in many places. Just search on your local job website.
Best of luck
1370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is staking Halal or Haram In Islam ? on: August 29, 2021, 07:04:58 PM
I do think that it can be considered as a sort of investment therefore it's not a big deal that you have to think twice or even bring religion in between, what you can do is, leave it if you do feel that it is not really pertaining to your ideals, but at the same time I do think that different people will have different options and no one can make a statement about that.

••

Stalking is more or so like earning passive income through your investments, which is completely reasonable. It's more or so more popular in the crypto world. ( For me I do think that it's not a bad deal at all, it's more like a partnership)
1371  Economy / Economics / Re: Bullish or nuts? Fidelity predicts $100M bitcoin in 2035 on: August 29, 2021, 06:26:23 PM
I do not even think that the bullish run that happened in 2021 was something that we were able to predict, most of the times people did take it super lightly and at the same time they had no idea of what was happening and it was all so sudden. I do think that right now people are more focused on investing in Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies and they do understand for a fact that other countries and companies are also investing in the same so the price will definitely rise. So I do think that we will be seeing a bull run soon enough. It might as well be 100k and they just posted about it therefore more and more people are now going to be interested in it and might invest more.
1372  Economy / Services / Re: I would like to make a sports betting bot for stake.com is it possible ? on: August 29, 2021, 05:52:08 PM
I am pretty sure this might not be possible. I am certain that the sites do have a way to filter out players like that, who are using bots etc. Since that would mean sooner or later players might manipulate the whole system perse. Which would be bad for their profits etc . Therefore even if you decide to do that , do not post it publicly 😂, secondly you would have to hire someone very professional to take care of all of this and at the same time you might have to check the rules and regulations first. Do not waste your money just like that. Then also there is no guarantee that you can still trust it since they can block your account or limit it anytime.
1373  Economy / Economics / Re: Cuba the next country to accept cryptocurrencies? on: August 29, 2021, 05:16:45 PM
I do think that it's not just Cuba but actually a lot of other countries as well who will start accepting Bitcoins really soon since at the end of the day they have to be in par with the whole system, as we know it, things have been really hard during the pandemic and more and more people are now going towards bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies. Therefore the government should work with them and start doing their part in this. It would be everyone really soon!! But the countries who will do it sooner will be one step ahead of everyone therefore I do think that even if they don't right now they might have to do eventually to meet the demands of general public.
1374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pay with Bitcoin on: August 29, 2021, 03:13:22 PM
I developed a high interest in Bitcoin lately want to accept Bitcoin for my sales and servicing company, am already working with a programmer to develop software or an application that will aid my transactions using the Bitcoin lightning network.

As the saying goes, no man is an island of knowledge, so I shared my story to get suggestions from this noble forum.

Hi
This is really great that you are actually doing something like that but I would rather suggest you to move the funds after a certain amount to a safer wallet. Lightning network for sure is amazing but it also has its own disadvantages. Therefore you have to really study about it before you can bring it into practice.
At the same time if you are actually accepting Bitcoins, I do think that you might as well try and incorporate other cryptocurrencies in the same thing. At the end of the day, the market is competitive and it would help you out in many ways, technologically, personally and professionally too.
You also have to understand the fact that not all wallets support lightning network therefore you can also try and use segWit, it would not be that fast but it would get the job done if you are accepting online payments and have a window or 'time limit' arranged for it.
1375  Economy / Economics / Re: Amazon's future plans on: August 23, 2021, 05:42:37 PM
At the same time I do think that Amazon can take a step forth and they can also provide people with the option to recieve the payment in Bitcoins or other cryptocurrencies, this might mean that people might have more options to choose from and at the same time I do think that other major companies will follow this too.
This would mean that for Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies there will be a roadmap already laid out which would eventually make them more acceptable and more normal as people might say. I do think we will be in for a long haul and this decision might take years to get implemented fully. I hope it's not just US but they will allow other countries as well to join in.
1376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is reconstructing the world on: August 23, 2021, 05:20:49 PM
I would not go as far to say that the bitcoin world is completely disassociated with the traditional one, but rather it's strongly integrated now. At places we consider bitcoins as a strong currency recognized by the government and these places are really flourishing. The government is even using the renewable sources of energy to make sure the country is able to sustain the mining.

The current generation is learning about cryptocurrencies right from the beginning, they are honestly going to be way ahead of all of us, there are kids that I teach, who are around 5-7 years old and most of them are very well versed with cryptocurrencies like bitcoins and are even doing small courses in it, therefore in few years I think we will have a whole different generation.
1377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why reputable gambling sites closedown after some years of success. on: August 23, 2021, 04:52:55 PM
recently am being worried about online cryptocurrency gambling platforms with the recent event in which we witness a good number of gambling sites closing down operations after some years of outstanding records.

First, it was yolodice, and now BetBTC and many others. What seems to be the problem is that gambling software and licenses come with an expiration date, or is the gambling environment not friendly enough to accommodate and sustain continued operations.

what is your view on this?

We are in the middle of a pandemic and the fact is that most businesses are shutting down, not just the ones involved with gambling and cryptocurrencies and we have to understand the fact that it's just hard to sum up and pin point regarding who is going to be next but, If they are major trusted casinos then they are giving people time to take their money out.

Therefore even if you decide to invest in a casino like that then you can be rest assured that the casino will take care of it if they are really trusted and good. Therefore this is inevitable for sure but what matters is how the casino handles it.
1378  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think financial stability is mandatory to be a gainer in Bitcoin invest? on: August 23, 2021, 01:10:32 PM
Financial stability makes sure that you can take chances in the market, when we are talking about normal people, at the end of the day, they try and invest but they have their own limitations. When you are financially stable, you can do a lot more, you can invest, hold, trade and even exchange, that too on a bigger scale. The Rich people have that advantage for sure, at the end of the day the only bad thing that might come out of this is the probability of these people becoming whales and then manipulating the price according to their own benefits, which I do think is very low, since that takes away any power from the small Investors. I do think it's not mandatory but it gives you benefits as a whole. Other than that, you can invest in small parts but make sure the follow the market.
1379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When do you know is time to walk? on: August 23, 2021, 11:21:24 AM
A funny poem..
Sums up most of that things though, I do believe that when you loose more and 80% of your initial investment, you should realize that the luck is not on your side and then walk away. At the same time it is really hard to do so because you are in the moment waiting to win all your money back, but for me if I do reach a point like that, I usually stop.
The ego and the greed are two things that you gotta avoid. These two things would make your loose everything, even more than what you might be fighting for therefore, realize when that's happening and then just close the tab for a while and maybe try some other day.
1380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Podcast on: August 22, 2021, 07:06:51 PM
Gambling Addiction podcast might be something that I am not familiar with but there are a couple of sites which do provide a lot of one on one counselling regarding the addiction in gambling. For example if you go to gamcare you would be able to get a lot of help, again I have not personally experienced it but I do think that one on one help might be something that might work better than any podcast for sure.

Podcasts are something that you might take on with it. But I would recommend if you go seek some personal help if you are struggling with addiction.
