1421  Economy / Economics / Re: Central bank digital currency will improve the use cases and value of Bitcoin on: August 09, 2021, 04:19:02 PM
The high degree of centralization and traceability of digital currency will strengthen the ability of the state or regulatory agencies to grasp the data and information of the people, both subjectively and objectively. Human greed and government mismanagement have destroyed monetary policy without exception. CBDC is the same as all other types of fiat currencies, because people will get into trouble because of inflation and heavy currency control.
Bitcoin frees people from monetary policy.  The central bank cannot put the cryptocurrency sprites back in the bottle, The power of the market in a more open currency selection system will mean that cryptocurrencies are expected to play an important role in forcing these politicized central institutions to better manage their people’s funds. CBDC may also be an opportunity for Bitcoin to help increase scalability and liquidity, it will make Bitcoin more priceless.
I do think this is not only important right now but also a necessity. Are the end of the day there are going to be technological advancements and those advancements might need a slight push and I do believe that cryptocurrencies are the ones doing that right now. Are the end of the day the only way it would work is if the government decides to integrate themselves with it.
-Also at the time of an economic crisis or collapse people can very easily use these to get out of bad situations.
The central bank might try and fight back as much as they want but I do think now they all understand that they do need crypto friendly economy.
1422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blockchain casino Vs Traditional casino on: August 09, 2021, 03:43:17 PM
Not only that but we have :
1. More variety
2. Fair rates
3. Easy accessibility
4. Better odds
5. A lot of options regarding the casinos, international and local ones alike
Etc..
I do think that if you are going for the experience then you might as well go to a casino which is traditional, but if you are considering playing during the pandemic and staying inside the house then might as well go for a online crypto casino, you will get much better options.
1423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin anti-inflation? on: August 09, 2021, 03:32:01 PM
According to many analyzes, inflation is caused by the printing of money by the Central Bank. Excessive printing of money will create an imbalance in supply and demand, which will have a negative impact on the balance sheet.
As a person who really loves BTC, I want to ask, is Bitcoin anti-Inflation?

There is nothing in this world that is actually anti-inflation when we talk about things that matters, more or so they are going to be affected by time and the economic situation per say. When we talk about bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies they are ofcourse going to change according to the situations.

If we are talking about bitcoins then you have to understand that bitcoins will change drastically according to the time but at the same time there will not only be more profitable situations for people who are going to hold it for a long term but it could also benefit the people who are using it for Inter-day trading.

I do not understand your question well because when you are considering bitcoins, I do hope that you realize that it's volatile and it's a really important part of the whole situation.
1424  Economy / Economics / Re: Miami will launch its own cryptocurrency and reward users with bitcoin on: August 09, 2021, 01:36:02 PM
I really don't see the need of a city coin, but one of the smartest people I know and listen to, Balaji Srinivasan, has had the idea of city coins/tokens that he has pitched in some podcasts; so I really have mixed feelings on this. I'm just going to say that it's going to be a really interesting experiment.
City coin is something that might as well be replaced by adoption of cryptocurrencies like bitcoins on a much larger scale. If there is a city and that is crypto friendly, I think that it would eventually produce the same results. This coin would be more of a local currency and can also be used to examine the economic situation of the particular region.
...
this project is still in beta and very worth watching...

The concept offered is also very interesting, residents will be able to mine and even borrow. I know the competition in the crypto market is huge but if this is a big success the city of miami will become very famous and many cities or countries will be inspired, maybe even el salvador will create their own state crypto token.
Competition is something that is inevitable, we have thousands of cryptocurrencies in the market which are going up and down ⬇️ most of them are forgotten. Therefore if the market decides to be lenient with them then this coin might survive but it does not have much chance. The government might have to answer one question even before it's adoption *WHY?, Why should the people be using this coin instead of cryptocurrencies or something else?*
1425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Effects of Greed in Gambling on: August 09, 2021, 12:47:26 PM
I know a person who invested like 5$ worth of Bitcoins on Roobet and then he ended up making 300$, that was really lucky. For me if I do something like that, I end up loosing everything. Gambling is not a way to make passive income for sure. You have to understand that there are games which are not just based on luck but also skills and these are the one's that you can use to see how far you can go. But when you talk about a game like *crash* it should more or so be a one time thing, these games do not end well if you continue to play. That's where the addiction starts tho, you have to careful and when you see that you are loosing your stance you should take a break and get help with addiction through various services, most of them are free.
1426  Other / Off-topic / Re: La Liga huge investment - up to 15% for players - predictions change on: August 09, 2021, 04:36:05 AM
https://www.reuters.com/lifestyle/sports/spains-la-liga-agrees-sell-10-stake-cvc-nyt-2021-08-04/

La Liga has received a great investment  in the range of 3.2 Billion for a 10% of the "ownership". The clubs are to get most of this new capital and they are free to invest, but with the limit of 15% in players. the rest has to be for infrastructure and other improvements. This should help Barca keep Messi, but what other players are going to be under offer in the future? Should the other clubs in Europe be concerned? And, how does this change the odds for the European championships?

Apparently due to restrictions on the crowd there have been probelms with the revenue, I think it's mostly due to COVID-19 now and therefore we will still need few years to get through it. At the end of the day, this was done so that they can find alternative sources to make sure things are done right in a certain way.
1. They are also assuming that it would help with Messi's contract.
(Which I do not feel would happen)
2. Alternative revenue source might work for sure but the percentage might have to change according to the situations.
You cannot follow strict equations during the pandemic.
1427  Economy / Economics / Re: Why would people ever use bitcoin if its expected to always go up? on: August 08, 2021, 06:53:44 PM
I couldn't put the full title in the subject line due to character restrictions, but here is the full question:
If bitcoin was fully adopted into everyday life, why would it ever be used for day-to-day transactions if the general consensus was that the price would always appreciate?

After reading several posts on this forum many people seem to think that Bitcoin will always go up. If this were to be the case, why would people spend Bitcoin at all? In this theoretical time, wouldn't it just be a poor financial decision to do?

Or is it thought that in this future where there is widespread adoption the price would stop being so volatile and for the most part stabilize?

Stability is something that is important when we talk about fiat, when we talk about other traditional currencies. When we are talking about bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies, the major fact is that most people prefer the price to be Volatile and these ups and downs are the ones making the market more acceptable for all classes, people invest here and HODL for a long period of time to see some good gains. I do think now it's not just about the price but about the applications too. Majors companies are accepting Bitcoins now, you are going to have a lot of options available if you are dealing with cryptocurrencies like bitcoins, I do think even if people are late they can still make profits in stuff like : Inter-day trading etc.
1428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Gambling Platform In Your Region on: August 08, 2021, 06:17:25 PM
I have been doing some thinking lately and decide to share it share so we gambling community can contribute to it, we have all being playing gambling games both in an online casino or going to physical casino house to gamble.
So can we share with each other the best 2021 Gambling/Casino platforms with best odds?
Well for me when we are talking about gambling as a whole, I do think that the local businesses are way more better as compared to the big companies. Some of the international sites like : Stakes, Duelbits, Roobet are the ones which are working for most of the regions legally.
So therefore I do think that if we are considering this situation personally I will give my vote to Roobet. Since the fee is much more affordable and we have a wide variety of games available which are not only paying well but also it's easy to transfer instantly and withdraw. Plus I mainly use Bitcoins and Ethereum so for both of these it's a very well established platform.
1429  Economy / Economics / Re: Bullish: 'Vast Majority' of Institutions Will Own Crypto by 2026: Fidelity on: August 08, 2021, 05:41:36 PM
💯 believe this, Amazon, Twitter and Tesla are setting the pace. They see it as a digital asset to invest part of their fund, hold for long but take huge profit from sale in short that cater even for invested capital and profit in cycle. They are smart enough to avoid the deception of launching new coin for their company.
Well I do think that whatever these companies are doing is not out of respect for cryptocurrencies but actually out of necessity. There is actually a huge disadvantage regarding big whales joining the crypto market, especially bitcoins since they can definately manipulate the market and use the social media platforms to influence the market for people who are new to it.
People who would join the whole crypto train would be the first to get the benefits of the whole thing, since there are a lot of applications and advantages. Plus many countries are taking a lesson from El Salvador and trying to improve their own economic situation in context of cryptocurrencies like bitcoins. I think in the future we are going to see more applications and more countries making cryptocurrencies like bitcoins a legal tender.
1430  Economy / Economics / Re: Can developing countries follow El Salvador use Bitcoin? on: August 08, 2021, 04:42:55 PM
The countries who are adopting bitcoins right now are ofc. Going to have an initial advantage. They are going to have way more experience in the long run, there are many places which cryptocurrencies like bitcoins can improve in. There are other countries which are giving cryptocurrencies special advantage also, there are many places who have started bitcoins just because of the huge wave of crypto acceptance.
Yes and No, they can easily follow the El Salvador foot step and make Bitcoin legal tender in their countries but World has very strong influence in many of these countries because they are indebted to it, if not to World bank or IMF, they are to china that we know their stance on Bitcoin, those that can get these shackle of them will surely win long term

If El Savador can legalized crypto of course other countries can too, bitcoin and crypto are very open and easy to apply, as long as there is a serious desire from the government then crypto can be legalized and of course has a good impact on the country's economy.

I do think it's not just the government but also the people who have to ask for their rights, since many of us live in a democratic nation so we can ask for what we might want. For example, in India people actually fought for Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies, even went to court !!
1431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto market adds over $140 billion in one day on: August 08, 2021, 03:08:57 PM
I am bound to believe that the market is going to see a lot more increase in the price soon since at the end of the day , small cryptocurrencies have a symbiotic relationship with major cryptocurrencies like bitcoins.

Considering it's only ETH and BTC right now, we are for sure excluding the many more small events happening, we are moving towards the month of September, I always tend to notice the price going up and more people investing in cryptocurrencies before Christmas.

We might not only see the price rising but more governmental benefits from the side of small countries, El Salvador might be the most talked about but other countries like Ukraine are also moving towards a more crypto friendly environment.
1432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake Turned 4 on: August 08, 2021, 12:45:51 PM
Share your experiences on this day. It may give the community know better about Stake and make use of it in the right way.

In my opinion, I think there's no need for its own appreciation thread as you guys can share experience on their ANN thread (that's the purpose of ANN thread right?) which is way better as it was a reference thread for those who want to try the Stake platform and for their forum representative to see your good and bad feedback.

Happy 4th Stake. Smiley Keep rocking the crypto-gambling world!
Totally agree with you. That way one can take your comments as references and then improve on the things that you did not find good.
Stake for me is an elite top regulated website. If you are interested in gambling using cryptocurrencies and you are new, you can never go wrong with it.
If you want to find reliability and stay away from the scams, I would definitely advice you to use it. There are certain countries that are using stake and in some places it's illegal.
Quote
These countries include the United States, Czech Republic, Curaçao, Syria, Iran, North Korea and Australia.

( Data taken from google)
Therefore even before using it you have to try and first check if it's legal in your country and then make a move.
1433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your betting budget on: August 07, 2021, 06:49:39 PM
I kind o like feeling in control of my finances and that means controlling my spending and being very aware of what goes in and what goes out. I normally check my accounts every month and may make a few decisions on what to spend next month if things are not looking correct. One of the things I do is to set aside 10% of my income for things that I really do not need - expensive clothing, gadgets and electronics, books, games,... and part of that is gambling. For me, a reasonable gambling budget is 3 to 5% of my income, although I may allow more if I have some extraordinary income that month. How do you plan your gambling or fun budget?

Well that's an excellent plan when you are gambling in moderation over a long period of time. The  usual routine for me is not that simple since I am not a everyday gambler, but I rather see how my financial situation is and I always set aside a budget for expensive situations that can barge in anytime, therefore for me it's not an exact science but rather depends on a lot of things like :
1. Job
2. Health
3. Family situation
4. Budget planning
5. Financial crisis
6. Unexpected expenses etc..
1434  Economy / Economics / Re: Ukraine is the "island of crypto freedom" in Europe, what to expect ? on: August 07, 2021, 06:25:45 PM
I have been living in Ukraine for 3 years now, considering this is my fourth year, I can honestly give a good opinion.
1. It's very easy to buy/sell cryptocurrencies like bitcoins here in Ukraine.
2. There are many people interested in the same so you can always find a local buyer.
3. The crypto market is flourishing day by day.
4. More and more stores online are accepting cryptocurrencies, the other day I wanted to buy some stuff for my dogs and apparently there was an option to buy using bitcoins, which honestly baffled me since people were so open towards it.
*
I do believe bitcoins and cryptocurrencies are going to have a safe heavens here. We are going to see bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies becoming legal tender soon enough, fingers crossed.
1435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is bad / Bitcoin is High risk .... well what about Archegos? on: August 07, 2021, 05:30:02 PM
Let's be rational for a moment and guess what??
We all know that it's super volatile.
We all know that it's a high risk investment.
We all know about the price fluctuations.
But we all still choose to invest in it.
-Why ??
We are not getting such opportunities anywhere else. The fact is even if it's a high risk investment, we are making profits accordingly, that's what makes it more special.
You can always follow the market, be extra careful and at the end of the day you can nail it! All you have to do is : stay a little safe and gain a lot of experience.
I feel like people don't realize that "If they don't take any chances, they are going to be struck in their financial situation right now"
(Plus Don't regret later when the price is excessively high!!)
1436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Accumulating small odds or choosing one or two big odds on: August 07, 2021, 04:31:22 PM
Gambling is fun and we should take it for fun, people should not be addicted, they should play good and making it not necessary. I gambled over the weekend when I have time, it makes good sense to me, my budget is not more than 5% of my monthly income. This thread is focused on we that have fun while play bet, even if we lose, we are not sad, we are not affected negatively or depressed, but if we win, another money for beer has been received.

I will like people to comment on how they stake, strictly on football matches. Did you prefer to choose straight win? Did you like to choose correct score? Have you chosen correct score before and won it? Did you like playing 10 minutes over 1.5? The best accumulation you ever staked?

After all your experiences about gambling on football matches, which one has been coming with the best result? Is it accumulating small odds? Or betting on one or two big odds?
For most of the times, I just try and Gamble based on my favorite players and my favorite team and most of the times it's not even for professional use but it's rather for fun therefore I do not like to put that much effort into it. Confidence for me comes from actually knowing the person who is playing on the field which is not only personal but also have a sense of security for me. I do believe that people should gamble for fun and not to earn money. Even if you win a couple of times straight you do not just for and get addicted. There is never a guarantee!! So only do it for fun.
1437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: some people uneducate about Bitcoins on: August 06, 2021, 05:33:46 PM
5 years ago I heard about Bitcoins  some feedback are good but some of them are negative

Untill now In my country if you say/discuss about Bitcoins expect that their response are negative.

Why does some people always say negative about Bitcoins?

1. Lack of knowledge about Bitcoins, uneducate People only saw the negative sides of Bitcoins.
2. Some of them say negative feedback because of their experience on some sites about Bitcoins,  because now a days Bitcoin are popular but there are many site will scam you if you are spontaneous to invest in not trusted sites.

It might not just be lack of knowledge but at the same time their inability to change and the media unfortunately plays a negative role most of the times.

Lots of people are still clueless about Bitcoin. Some of them see it as a scam and we can't blame them for that because scam advertisements are everywhere on the internet these days. Some of them are also afraid to take the risk of crypto investment and they still need enlightenment about the benefits of Bitcoin. I believe that the best time will come where people would be eager to know more about Bitcoin.
Yes and the role of social media and big influencers is of prime importance, look at what Elon Musk did in few months , things like that are often detrimental for the overall growth.
Scams are also very focused around cryptocurrencies since people are uneducated in this sector, not only uneducated but they are also ignorant.
1438  Economy / Economics / Re: When debt is an asset on: August 06, 2021, 04:24:39 PM
I don't really understand the rules in the United States or Europe regarding buying a house on credit, but why do people prefer to buy a house with a longer mortgage because buying a house with the installment credit that he pays, it will not stop the value of the house he has bought from increasing, meaning that he buys a house with a longer loan with monthly installments it will not stop him from increasing the value of the assets he already owns. The house as a property has a value that always grows every year. Currently, we buy an average house with a value of hundreds of millions Rupiah but in the end of the mortgage the value of the asset will reach billions Rupiah.

That is indeed an interesting take. I do believe that property serves as a 100% sure set asset that is bound to grow in value over years. Taking a loan for it is positive most of the times. There are companies that do make it all easier and also aid people in the same. I think same might go for cryptocurrencies like bitcoins. I know some people who took loan from a friend or a bank to actually buy some bitcoins and at the end of the day he was not only able to repay it, but he made 10 folds!! But for sure you do need intelligent investment here, this can go the opposite side soon. I do believe that you should not extend it for that long ( 25 years!! ) You might have to give a lot of compound interest that way. But rather, you need to organize yourself, the assets are only worth it if they are not burdening you.
1439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: As of today, Google ads for Bitcoin are no longer banned. on: August 05, 2021, 09:13:28 AM
Honestly I feel like this is not even that bad, If google chooses to allow bitcoins and their advertising then they would have to take different steps to make sure all of that is not only safe, legal but also legit.
This is not a decision that can be made instantly, they do need to have enough time to plan everything and in general. I found a link tho : https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.businessinsider.in/cryptocurrency/news/google-is-allowing-crypto-ads-again/amp_articleshow/85033865.cms
They are keeping out a lot of companies. It started from August 3. They will only allow the wallets which are based in US and registered in FinCEN. Therefore this is not a really big deal, but will pave a way for the future of crypto advertising. This can also be used as a way to see how that works out.
1440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin worth so much? on: July 31, 2021, 01:17:16 PM
Many other cryptocurrencies have been improved upon based on Bitcoin. In other words, Bitcoin must be inferior to them, but why is Bitcoin's value number one by far?
Why is Bitcoin worth so much? Huh
I do believe there are a lot of things like :
Trust
Simplified application
Marketing
Backed up by more people
More popular than most
Have been in the market for a really long time
Improvements which are being made every couple of years
Wider practical applications
I understand for a fact that you might consider bitcoins to be inferior since at the end of the day it does not have much complicated base in contrast to other cryptocurrencies like : ETH but that does not mean that they all have to compete, they are very well in a synergistic relationship.
