2321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 17, 2021, 11:17:36 AM
Just saw a clip of Tyson admitting he had to attend a recovery  session for addicts because he has only managed to stay 6 days sober recently and its a problem he believes will destroy him so he is trying his best.   Not the best setup for a fight but then he should be well able to handle it anyhow, still I hope he gets back on the road straight and away from his problems dragging him down.
I thought he had already solved this problem, I mean at his age now, he should be living a healthy lifestyle as he is not getting any younger. I get that he is still fit but destroying his body could also destroy his future and we don't want to see a legend like him end up consumed by his problem of being an addict.

Not really sure about this one, but maybe to hype the fight and talk about him again?

I also thought that he has been sober for years now for his substance abuse or addiction that's why I'm also surprised to hear this. And the only thing that comes to my mind is that maybe he wanted to make some noise again so that more people are going to be interested to watch him fight Logan Paul. This is just my personal opinion though, so anyone can agree or disagree with me that maybe Tyson is just faking this 'addiction' narrative again.

It's not necessary for him to make a noise because when people hear the name Mike Tyson fighting, whoever his opponent will be they'll be interested to watch the fight. What the fans would be more interested is on how he will train as that would certainly add more hype.
2322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: November 17, 2021, 10:43:37 AM
Porter hasn't knock out with this style so he will continue with it because it made him a champion.
He hasn't been knockout because he is strong, unfortunately if he fought a boxer who are fast and knows how to use the ring, he will lose.

All of his losses are very close fight that's why this fight might be the same, very hard for judges to score because of the contrasting style this two have.
Actually not so close, only the last fight against Spence is close because Spence won only by split decision.

his two other losses are against Keith Thurman (UD) , and Kell Brook (MD), and mind you, Crawford beat Kell Brook via TKO.
2323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with whales? on: November 16, 2021, 10:58:50 PM
We can't blame holders who have the ability to dump at any time because they're the ones who believed in bitcoin from the start and can buy it at any price. This is an investment, which is why, in order to gain money, you should be able to plunge in and swim in the ocean. Whales are whales, but they won't sell until they're satisfied with the profit they'll receive. Also, because the market hasn't gotten centralized as a result, it's still worse to have a bunch of fud cases than a whale selling his bitcoins to cause the market to crash.
Indeed, whales are also investors, we can't rid of them but instead, respect what they do and go along with them if we can. Such manipulation could be possible at their hands but not to say that they are controlling the market. And that because they have the money enough to direct the price trend, that gives them enough profit more than us small investors.

@OP, The fact that they are not killing the market then has no reason why we have to get angry with them. And besides, their contribution to the market is huge and that very helping for this become known to the community.
2324  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I not lose money in trading cryptocurrency? on: November 16, 2021, 10:19:44 PM
We hope so but have to accept the reality that we can't avoid this thing. It can really be frustrating to see and have losses despite of being careful but I don't deem to make this thing become a reason to give up, instead, we make this thing a reason to improve our knowledge and enhance our skills.

Those traders that will be able to understand this situation will find a way to stay and never complain. The more we feel frustration, disappointment, the more we become down. I think we should have to work on controlling our emotions before they become worse.
Indeed. We can't avoid to lose money in trading. We will lose money in trading if we don't have the right plan on how we will do it. We can't avoid it but we need to have a plan and our own strategies to minimize it. All we just need to do is to be careful and always understand the market flows. We must be always updated to the market. We might be possibly loss money in trading but through this it will improve our knowledge and do better things next time when you trade.
And the worse thing is that if we just keep on losing. I guess that would be the time to make a hard decision to leave out from trading than to keep on that situation. Maybe we could find a place that is for us knowing that trading isn't meant for everyone nor that we all become a trader. In fact, we can maximize our knowledge and skills to the other area and seem to think that trading is not the place we have to stay, can't force ourselves then as we can't make good results rather than suffering losses.
2325  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is This A Genuine Project? on: November 15, 2021, 01:31:01 PM
I guess you are in the wrong section, you are not accusing a certain project but you are asking whether it's legit or not.

I believe the right section is the Reputation.
2326  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do ALL vaccines kill people? on: November 15, 2021, 12:57:27 PM
I'm not a doctor or anyone who has enough knowledge about the vaccine.

I just have to believe that our government will not allow people to get vaccinated if that will kill people, that's hilarious, I mean if people think like that, they won't have the confidence to get vaccinated. The new normal now is that you should be vaccinated in order to enjoy life again, otherwise you'll be limited in going to place that does allow people that are not vaccinated.

In our country, there's already a discrimination on unvaccinated people as the government itself is thinking of not granting a help if they will not vaccinated, so in the end, people who seek help has no choice but to get vaccinated.

2328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin investment on: November 12, 2021, 09:17:05 PM
I am suggesting that you invest in RACA if you have capital to invest with.
What will be the profits margin in a short term base let say in the next six months, or a year investment if it can give 50% profit then that is a good investment choice.
NFTs are the craze of the moment and I will love to cash in on the new trend.

You need to be careful of your decision. Have you done doing research about NFT projects? Well, I don't want to stop nor discourage you but you need to make your own research and don't just focus on NFT but rather pick those projects that have been existed for many years with a proven market margin.

NFT gaming platform is with popular this time and some had also in successful. I think you should have to consider one of them than invest in new NFT platforms as the risk is too high. Anyways, that was your choice either, only I give you a warning.
2329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Success for crypto will be bitcoin losing its crown to a stablecoin? on: November 12, 2021, 08:54:55 PM

However, the risk level for stablecoins is greatly influenced by its backing, so isn't that a "too much" claim?

https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/currencies/avalanche-avax-emin-guen-sirer-founder-bitcoin-stablecoin-tether-usdc-2021-10

https://swapzone.io/blog/stablecoins
That he makes his own and not to wonder since he is promoting his project, anyway.
There is no basis for that claims, everyone can do such a thing but they are absolutely wrong, can't just tell the future of crypto, nobody does, and that is why all of these are just false claims.

The existence of stablecoins cannot stop the growth of crypto and that is much more this time knowing the adoption is getting stronger. Perhaps, they have different use-cases which we could never find the competition to them.
2330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: November 12, 2021, 08:01:05 PM
Bitcoin has given me the ability to be more financially independent. BTC is a great method to store value and feel secure from the inevitable inflation that will arise in the coming years due to the pandemic.
That's it, it's a good hedge for inflation so at least we have to invest in bitcoin rather than saving all our money in the bank.
Bitcoin is still viewed as a high risk investment by the financial experts, but who cares, we've seen enough and we proved that bitcoin is not a bubble so it's just a matter fo trust because we know what crypto is and it's potential.

It's also fun to be part of a new technological revolution. I have some interesting people into cryptocurrency and we usually have an instant connection being part of the community.
Bitcointalk is my favorite community, I'm consistently online reading posts and comments here, and with that, I can say that I learned a lot and I'm loving what I'm doing is in the crypto space.
2331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 12, 2021, 07:45:39 PM

By the way, I saw from the replay, did Jackson hit Lowry after that steal? or Lowry just trying to bluff to get the ref attention?

It's hard to tell but based on the reputation of Lowry, he is good at acting so definitely that's it.
And with the win, the Clippers' win streak continues to 6, tied with the Warriors and the Suns.

About Butler's status, there's no fresh update yet whether he will play the next game but we can follow the update in https://www.cbssports.com/nba/players/1646703/jimmy-butler/
2332  Economy / Speculation / Re: 60k price recovery achieved on: November 12, 2021, 12:22:06 PM
Ever since the Bitcoin all-time high price of 64k in April 2021 before it drops below 30k before recovering gradually and today another landscape was achieved with Bitcoin now selling for $60,234 this price indicates another exciting bull season before the end of the year 2021.
Since the bitcoin price managed to break the new ATH record it reached a few days ago, the upward trend in the price will continue in the rest of 2021. Even after the bitcoin ATH break a few days ago, many analysts predict the bitcoin price towards $100k early next year. Therefore, if you are a long-term investor, don't worry when the Bitcoin price drops slightly, take this opportunity to buy.

I understand your optimism, but you have to understand that it will take some time. There's no such thing as parabolic rise, and if there is, it's not going to be healthy in the long run as this might case another collapse in the price.

So we are still in the $60k'ish range after reaching another all time high this month. Others might call this correction or some minor pullback. But it's just normal, and we have to wait if we can really get to $100k or not this year or at least early 2022.

That could happen since the market is still bullish, however, we also have to pay attention on what happen in the past because after bitcoin reach a bull run, the heavy correction happen so we should never neglect that possibility so we can make a timely decision on selling and not waiting until the pice will dip so much because we can always buy bitcoin at dip.
2333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: November 12, 2021, 11:39:25 AM
Well since Casimero is dreaming to have a big fight with Inoue or in Donaire of course he shouldn't have to take this upcoming game of him with butler that easy fight. Though Casimero has already proven his capability, his skills inside the ring but this time I believe that he needs to win this game probably a knock down win rate for a more big fight for his career in the following days. This Upcoming game enticing every boxing fans because of two big names involve in the same date, Casimero and Donaire fight in the same event.
He's going to take it seriously despite the pot isn't that much for him. It's part of his career and it's still another record for him. That's why if he plays this easy and unprepared, there might be no fight for any of the two next. He just has to let this pass, win this match against Butler then it's all up to him, his promoter, and as well as the opponent that they'll pick for him. We have an idea that he's more liking to have a match against Inoue.
and because he wanted to face more higher fighter that is why he will do everything for this fight to win.
aiming for Casimero this time  for him to face either Nonito Donaire or Japan boxer Enoue .
Casimero could potentially face either Donaire or Inoue if he wins against his challenger, it's a task he cannot say no and he cannot lose if he wants his dream to be realized.

Waiting for the odds as i wanted to Bet my entire gambling funds for this one ,.
It's too early to expect for the odds, this isn't a huge fight that everyone might interest in, so most likely the odds will be up a day or a week before the actual fight.
2334  Economy / Economics / Re: Possible market crash in the near future? on: November 11, 2021, 10:39:22 PM
There are (as of  now) 14029 cryptocurrencies listed in coinmarketcap.com.
A case has been made (repeatedly) for  the existence of a bubble in the cryptocurrency market.
Yeah, I understand cryptocurrencies are volatile, high risk investments. But, are you guys expecting a market crash anytime soon?
Can be possible but I'd never think it now, maybe when the price of Bitcoin falls back to $0. However, the price keeps on rising, the demand keeps increasing, should have we think that it crashes? Not for sure but instead, we even think that it stay forever and is considered as an alternative form of payment that something fuels to continue its journey just like fiat money.

Those who are in this field for many years for sure are thinking positively about the future of crypto. Of course, it is a form of market support but certainly, we don't know yet and are not 100% sure about it.
2335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple CEO Tim Cook invests on Crypto on: November 11, 2021, 09:50:17 PM
Apple CEO Tim Cook have invested on cryptocurrency. He has disclosed it in a recorded interview. He mentioned it as part of his diversified portfolio. His investment was from his personal point, and Apple doesn't have any plans of investing/accepting cryptocurrency. This is a big news, and were into discussion around the social media platforms. Majority of the huge company CEO's own crypto. This is a big thing and an indication of growth of cryptocurrency network.

That it really comes into their mind how crypto changes finances. This guy looks positive that crypto investment is more profitable with less work than running a business. Those who are in known and big companies had certainly had a glimpse what really the status of Bitcoin in the future and that might they found out that it is greatly growing.

Can't be surprising to have this news as I know that some known personalities are just quiet and keeping anonymous.
2336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 11, 2021, 11:51:38 AM
Sports bettors, I have a little request, can you share your bet slips before the game so I could follow?  Smiley

you just make me jealous with your winning bet slips, I could also have enjoyed that winning if you will share it.
It's just a request though so you can disregard this request if you feel my request is impossible to grant.

Any thoughts on these games?

Toronto at Philadelphia -2
 Indiana at Utah -9
Miami at L.A. Clippers -2.5
2337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 11, 2021, 11:29:23 AM
The Jokic situation seems worse than it is I think.  Morris hit him with a cheap shot and then turned his back.  It must have been a lapse of judgement or him trying to get away with a cheap shot on an MVP thinking he wouldn't retaliate.  Shaq said it best, "when you hit me, don't turn your head because it's coming."
I agree with Shaq there. Jokic doesn't need to feel "too bad" for what he did. That was a dirty move and as a man, it's just normal to react like that. Using the MVP card is a dirty move by basketball analysts too and now I am starting to unfollow those guys and maybe just listen to Shaq all day long.
Protecting the one who initiated the hard contact and putting the blame on those who react? What kind of logic is that? I am not Jesus to give my other cheek for you to enjoy slapping again.

The Morris brothers are dirty players since from the start. They have built a reputation among the league as one of those dirty players who subtly employ cheap tactics just to stir the pot among the players.
Yeah, both of them are dirty player and I don't like their tactic as it's not fair.
Maybe the NBA organization has to investigate about their past games where they do some dirty plays and sanction them hard.

There's no room for dirty players in the NBA as this is suppose to be fun that's why its called entertainment.

Have you guys watched the game between Warriors and Wolves? Wiggins outplayed most of the players and made a statement against his former team. While i did mention about the development of Wiggins being in plateau, this is one of those games that provides a glimmer of hope to his future.

On another note, Anthony Edwards is just simply a beast. Dude's unstoppable with his drives and shooting ability but they were no match against the whole bench and squad of Warriors.

That was the biggest game of Wiggins so far, he proved to his doubters that he can contribute big time and he really shines in that game against the Wolves. I don't know if he can still drop the same numbers next game but at least we know he can do that when needed.

Musk says he doesn't own Shiba Inu Tokens, so we can assume that he is not behind SHIB.

Elon Musk Says He Doesn’t Own Shiba Inu Tokens, Enraging SHIB Hodlers

Quote
Elon Musk has a Shiba Inu puppy at home. Elon Musk has joked about Shiba Inu, but Elon Musk doesn’t hodl Shiba Inu.

Replying to one of the many Shiba Inu accounts on Crypto Twitter, the famous Elon Musk confirmed that he didn’t own Shiba Inu, despite being a highly influential figure for that community.

I'm not sure if he is telling the truth too because he is really a clever guy, he knows how to influence the market and use the right words only as his strategy to make more profits from the fool followers.
Well, I hope that he is not telling lies again and he is true to this time. Because of his huge influence on social media, it certainly made a huge impact on the market and might be possible that it hypes this project more as it happens to Dogecoin.

We can't stop that assumption as SHIB Inu is also a meme coin like Doge. The speculation of the most thinking that Elon Musk is also shilling this secretly seems possible but with his tweet, I think that it clears everything. Well, that is not a problem anymore. Many people/investors are already in the profit of this project and it doesn't care whose behind this.

Nuggets' Nikola Jokic suspended one game, Heat's Markieff Morris, Jimmy Butler fined for altercation
Quote
MIAMI — After Denver’s Nikola Jokic and Miami’s Markieff Morris hit one another, the NBA hit back. And the reigning MVP took the worst of that.

Jokic has been suspended one game for shoving Morris in the back, the league announced Tuesday night. That means Jokic won’t play on Wednesday when the Nuggets host Indiana.

Morris won’t be playing on Wednesday, either: The Heat said he has a neck injury, diagnosed as whiplash, and has been ruled out from Miami’s matchup at the Los Angeles Lakers.

Morris was fined $50,000 for his role in the mess, and Heat forward Jimmy Butler drew a $30,000 fine "for attempting to escalate the altercation and failing to comply with an NBA Security interview as part of the review process pertaining to an on-court matter," the league said.
The amount maybe small but the $50K fine and the neck injury sounds about right.
Jokic was lucky it's only one game. His behavior after the shoving helped reduce the days I think.

Since there's no amount stated on how much Jokic would lose too. I made a research and I believe that he won't get paid for one game suspension. So here's the computation, Jokic is making $31,579,390 this season and in NBA they have 82 games, so we will divide his salary to 82 and he loses 385,114.51 dollars for not playing one game, bigger than what Morris and Butler lose. ...

2340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin ever get regulated on: November 09, 2021, 11:01:23 PM
This topic have taken the center stage of my thought we have seen how countries around the world are gradually opening the economy to adopt bitcoin and as a result a lot of government policies are already underway to develop a framework that allow regulation of the bitcoin ecosystem which have made me to wonder on this topic. Can a decentralized currency like bitcoin ever get regulated?
I think government will regulate like legalization about exchange or any other which is about permission. But for ownership or how people access bitcoin sites, i think government can do that because people will have other ways to save their coins or maybe access sites that related with crypto. I hope in my country there are no regulation for crypto because people will forced to pay tax about crypto and honestly i don't want it.  Grin
They could only regulate people or users on exchange accounts or any services or platforms that do offer or in relation with crypto but talking

it directly handling it out then its impossible and thats what government is trying to do but still failed even up to these years.

We dont need regulation actually but for some point on which we do need some full scale adoption then we would really be touching up
this part.
yeah, in the situation that gives us no chance but to seek support from the government which leads to strict rules and market regulation.
However, I don't think that we need to become wary seeing these changes, merchants and business owners are very confident when they know that the government is involved with this. But for us who are just normal investors and wanted to still become anonymous, that will become a problem.
