2341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 13, 2020, 08:30:02 PM
^^ I do not remember anyone doing that before Leicester neither Cheesy. 5000 odds is not something you see, maybe it may have been done looooong before I was born but I have been watching premier league for the past 20+ years and never seen any team like Leicester win it before, they were barely out of relegation zone a year prior and they became champions a year later, that is insane turn around to become champions.

Ronaldo to Manchester United talks have been getting louder recently, what do you guys think? Would having Ronaldo at United change something? I mean surely it will change "something" but do you think that is enough to put them at the top levels? They are looking horrible right now even though they finished strong last year, if they get rid of Pogba somehow and get Ronaldo during the break, they could potentially become a whole new awesome team.

What's happening to this guy, is this still luck? it's been days already since the last time you posted and the good timing is that the market is in bull run now, his last big win was more attractive as it's more on bitcoin.  Grin
It seems so. The difference is, few days ago he was still betting with bitcoin and now he switched to ETH. Idk the reason, but it might be the fee or he wants to save his bitcoins at current price
Great wins indeed and I am not active in chat so not sure how the chat reacted to such wins because people get mad even at 10x so imagine if these bets are posted in chat. One thing I wanted to say though is that people who hit such crazy wins are actually trying a lot and they lose a lot in the process which is not we all know because we only see their wins.

I remember winning big on dice once and then I lost it slowly all in hope of chasing another big win so while my big win was known to everyone, they never know how much I lost first to get it and after getting it in hope of getting that again.
2343  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Casino & Sportsbook - Biden Early Payout! 🚀 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: November 13, 2020, 05:59:31 PM
Stake.com did not personally pay out anything.

This was at most a mistake in the programming of the smart contract/oracles behind it...
You know how sportsbook work? Let me try and explain you why stake actually paid out personally.

So basically every sportsbook has odds provider who provide them odds and also settles bet based on the official data for the sports and in this case of elections betting the odds provider has decided to hold the bets until the new President takes his position which if I am not wrong will happen in January.

So here stake came forward and settled the bets manually because like Stunna said they cannot hold users funds for months just because there are rumors about voter fraud. What is even more heart warming is actually they let the Trump bets stay which means in case Trump proves the voter fraud actually happened then trump bets will also be won.

I don't know from where you bring smart contracts and all .. this is not a decentralized platform that works on smart contracts. Please at least do basic research before making such posts specially when stake is showing so much love for their gamblers.
2344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will YFI go down again? on: November 13, 2020, 03:18:09 PM
It is definitely overpriced, there is absolutely no reason why it should be this high, it moved from 8 to 18 levels in a week and it has no reason for that at all. These type of projects that increase this much has always scared me a lot, when there is a news or a big deal and price of a  project goes up I understand it because we can provide proof of why it went up with that news, however when there is nothing going on and it is ordinary, I do not feel like it deserves the big increase it got.

This could lead to two things, either I do not understand the project well enough (which is totally possible, I am not an expert) or it will crash soon and become a lot less than what it is today. I fear that yfi will be second one and will drop under to a certain level once again.
2345  Economy / Speculation / Re: Altcoin still feasible? Profit or loss? on: November 13, 2020, 09:41:27 AM
The difference between altcoins vs bitcoin is the fact that bitcoin talks about just one coin whereas when you say altcoin you are talking about sooooo many different coins and projects.

When people say "bitcoin is the only thing that can succeed" they are saying that because bitcoin will always be there, many of us (probably almost all) believe that bitcoin will not be taken away from first spot and it will always be awesome, that is something not really troubling and it could be that way and that's fine.

The problem with talking about altcoins however is that ETH is an altcoin if you look at it that way, Litecoin is an altcoin, Dash is an altcoin but also that horrible new project that is trying to scam people by trying to put all the buzzwords in it is also an altcoin, we can't just compare them all to each other but we name them all altcoins.
2346  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just in - Bitcoin at $15 000 on: November 13, 2020, 08:32:42 AM
Just in, bitcoin at $16.4k Cheesy. I mean we are going up so much that even topics at bitcointalk can't catch up with how fast bitcoin is going up. It is a great period to be involved in crypto, it is really going amazing for all of us. Obviously this will not continue forever, we are not going to see a million dollar per bitcoin in the next 6 months, this is not something like that, but at least if we check what has happened in the past 3 months, we could say that bitcoin has been one of the best investments anyone could have made in the world, there is nothing that is as profitable as bitcoin (maybe pfizer after the news).

So, I would say it is highly important that we keep focusing on our future but never really leave our history behind neither and be proud of what we have achieved.
2347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Role of Bitcoin in Developing counties to accelerate Growth process on: November 13, 2020, 07:24:38 AM
The Bitcoin and other crypto currencies are considered as an instrument to support the Growth in Developing economies. They can be very helpful to provide access to  financial services to  community at large. As they are considered  a medium to support growth Process by providing better traceability of funds and help people to escape poverty.
I don’t know about the one of escaping poverty, can Bitcoin really help people escape poverty? Since it’s an investment there is no guarantee you’re getting profit, it can take long before you make profit. I will say that the main part is transaction, it eases transaction, although there have been complaints about it, but I heard that during the last protest in Nigeria that their central bank blocked the accounts of protesters and they had to make use of Bitcoin to support the protesters.

So, that’s one of the areas that Bitcoin is being helpful. As for making people rich, first you need to have money you’re going to invest in Bitcoin, and when you do that, you will need to have patience for the price to go up.
2348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Turnoff Happen to Bitcoin on: November 12, 2020, 04:52:48 PM
When you said turnoff I thought you meant Bitcoin being turned off lol. The devs are not doing anything about this, and I have noticed that the complaints has been too much as of recent, and I experienced it too while sending money.

I think their solution is the lightening network, but no one has been talking about that for long now and there are no wallets that I have seen that are making use of this feature, it still remains the normal method that we are using with the same fees. I once thought of using Ethereum, but it doesn’t work for me because don’t use altcoins.
2349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How will crypto behave during a Biden presidency? on: November 12, 2020, 04:10:29 PM
This is not easy to speak about this topic but Biden is an experienced politician so probably he will not do anything that goes against of crypto. Hopefully it will be a great year and the result will be on favour of crypto.
And bitcoin is not a burning topic such that he needs to do anything different. Yeah there have been times when the crypto topic is hot and everyone talks about it but the laws regarding bitcoins and crypto in general are already made and there are more important topics than to get involved with bitcoins for Biden.

There are pandemic times for everyone and he would better do something about that as we all know Trump created a mess, sorry to the Trump fans/followers but that is the truth because Trump did nothing apart from lashing out at China and calling it a Chinese Virus so hopefully now Biden does something to life the economy.
2350  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading losses on: November 11, 2020, 08:48:11 PM
It's a natural habit of business. Trading is a system that is not see as secure by the market. There may make profit or loss depends on market, risk, time, types, overall depends on the situation. Trading loss commonly depends on the failure to risk identified, lacking patients, world economy, inflation, etc. To prevent this before getting on market one should have to well understand about market.
Actually OP was wondering when everyone knows and agrees that BTC is going to grow in future and the price always increase later if not sooner then how are people still having loss with trading.

I believe the basic reason why people are having loss despite knowing BTC is going to go up is because of two reasons mainly.

1 They are trading altcoins: We all know how destructive and implosive the altcoin market is and it takes one mistake to lose all your capital to a scam coin.

2- Day Trading: A lot of people sell and buy BTC at different prices and earn so sometimes when during a bearish run people have to execute trades at loss despite knowing that if they can wait a week or month they might get better value, they need that money to next trades so they have to accept loss.
2351  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My guide on Leveraged trading on: November 11, 2020, 08:17:47 PM
Thank you for detailed information in the article. Do the exchanges you mentioned allow to open leveraged positions in opposite directions at the same time? What if you add to your previously opened position, does it effect your entry price?
Please read the article once because I was unable to find any exchange link given in the whole article. The article is really good and best point through the article I felt was - Determining Bias. This is really important and one thing we all miss during the leveraged trading.

I do not like leverage trading personally because I always think that instead of borrowing money and paying interest it is better to just deposit my own money and by the grace of God I have enough as much as I want to deposit and trade so I don't feel the need to borrow money.

But nonetheless a great article for people who want to trade big with small capital and are new to how things work.
2352  Economy / Economics / Re: Coronavirus is very harmful to fiat currencies, not bitcoin on: November 11, 2020, 04:17:52 PM
We always knew that bitcoin was something that would be prevention towards high inflation and bad economy management, that is why it was created to begin with. Satoshi didn't created bitcoin because he just wanted to have fun, he created it because he knew (and many before him that failed) governments and companies are horrible at managing economies and currencies.

But when you have a currency that is managed by everyone equally at the same time with absolutely no ownership by anyone and can't change or print or do anything because it is decentralized, you will have a much better currency. Some people still do not understand the idea of bitcoin perfectly, there are still friends who keep asking how it works, but when the world understands its power fully, we are going to see it become huge.
2353  Economy / Economics / Re: Hoping that its the end of corona virus on: November 11, 2020, 09:39:03 AM
How sure are people that the coronavirus is no longer in the country? As for the people going about their normal business, it has been happening almost in every country now, whether there is coronavirus or no coronavirus, people can’t stay indoors and die of hunger, the government is not going to be providing food for you and your family, so you have no other choice than to put on your face mask and get back to work and make sure that you’re following every health protocols that has been laid down to avoid contacting the coronavirus.

As for people in your country not believing there is coronavirus, I understand that that’s what a bad leadership can cause, when leaders are not trustworthy, people will always not believe what they say.
2354  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: November 10, 2020, 08:48:49 PM
Oh no not an android app!! All jokes aside this is going to be much better than going via browser, I am already gambling from mobile time to time and it doesn't look comfortable right now, I am going to check out the app and tell you if there is any difference or if it is much better, but the UI would probably the only thing I would care about. Don't get me wrong the idea to gamble mobile is great and you guys are going forward with an amazing idea but we weren't incapable of gambling mobile before neither, we were capable of doing that but we had to go to sportsbet.io from our phone browser and we would get the site and we could login and gamble whatever we wanted. Depositing from mobile was a biiiiiig pain in the ... so it would be awesome if that is fixed at least, I want it to be a lot easier.
2355  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: November 10, 2020, 07:56:14 PM
I would say going with De Gea , ramos, messi and mane, lewa for striker. These are the ones I have in mind, there will be additions and maybe even removal but obviously this is a good base to start with if you ask me.

I am not going to be shocked if I do not do well again, people seem to be guessing with millions of accounts I suppose, I don't know if there is anyone who starts so many accounts that they are putting every single imaginable version of these and try to get the most point with at least one of them and then gamble with the money they get to profit even higher and withdraw. That is an abuse system that should not be tolerated. However if people are legit this good, that means I am either just unlucky, or I am very bad at this Cheesy. The leaders usually have like 2x or even once 4x more points than me.

https://news.stake.com/us-election-2020-statement/

Official stake elections statement

Summary:"We have chosen to pay out on Biden early while allowing Trump bets to remain unsettled until there is more clarity."

We're actively settling Biden bets now as a win, if you bet on him you will get paid within 24h.
Man, seriously stake sets new examples for sports betting. How amazing it sounds to settle bets despite knowing that the user might withdraw the funds and move on later if they are known to lose somehow it would be a massacre for stake losing every bet technically. Stake keeps giving reasons to love them and really this is a great gesture from them, I was reading on their blog about this statement and really just don't have words for this kind of attitude towards the community, amazing!

I did make a bet on Trump so I have little hope now that maybe Trump can reverse things and hopefully come out on top but honestly speaking if that happens stake will lose a big amount of money as they already paying out Biden bets now and will have to pay Trump bets later so I don't know if I should even hope for a Trump win.
2357  Economy / Economics / Re: Is COVID-19 an excuse for governments & central banks to print money? on: November 10, 2020, 06:20:00 PM
Whether there is any truth in these conspiracy theories or not is another thing. But the truth is that Trump lost his re-election solely due to this pandemic. Look at the margins. Even after so many deaths as a result of COVID 19, he received more than 70 million votes and lost the crucial swing states such as Arizona, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania by less than 1% of the votes.
And there is also some suggestions that there was manipulation and if there is any truth in those news than actually the 1% can go in either way and might flip the whole election result.

Trump was not the best leader they have but he was competent and while strict and sometimes funny like he said "Chinese virus" which was mocked later on and trolled but his actions were always good. There are people who play the role of a villain which Trump was playing but their actions and decision making is impeccable. Just because he is a big mouth doesn't mean he was incompetent.
2358  Economy / Economics / Re: Second lockdown in Europe can their economy survive this?. on: November 10, 2020, 04:43:56 PM
I think that in this situation it is necessary to make a choice, or save people, or save the economy. But if the government of the country is worried only about the economy, then they will lose a significant part of their people. In order to work to save the economy, there must be strict control over the current restrictions, since people do not always adhere to the rules of personal protection and the restrictions imposed, because this is what is causing the second wave of the pandemic.
I do not understand why they cannot come up with a solution because now it is a long time since the virus is there and there should be better policies like enforcing masks and sanitizers as not recommended but compulsory and if proper distance and hygiene is maintained there is no way the virus can affect anyone and if even slight numbers increase it can be managed and it would be way better than locking people down and kill them by starvation.

There needs to be better and smarter decisions taken if they want to actually fight the virus because hiding is not the solution instead protect yourself and work might be the way to go in coming time. Just locking down people is like hiding from the virus.
2359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you are new to crypto this is for you on: November 10, 2020, 12:02:24 PM
this is a good piece that can save lifes. firstly is to research about exchange and choose the one that is best for you. learn also to manage your risk,  try to invest in more than one project , not many but dont focus on one yet. learn to take profits be statisfied and not to be greedy.
Well looking at the current market situation I believe focusing and investing on a single coin or token is a better idea actually because there are mostly scams and if you find a good coin to invest in then you might want to focus on it and see how they are moving ahead with the project. You might invest small in some unknown or less known entities but really focusing on a single token and once you profited out then move to the next one is a better idea.

I don't invest much in any altcoins and I only hold major alts like USDT, TRX, XRP and obviously ETH (I do hold BTC but that doesn't count in alts) so I don't know the recent market and the coins out there, I heard DOT is another one that might see a big price boost soon because they are really solid but didn't got enough time to research.
2360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What haven't most people not heard about that can help them make money? on: November 09, 2020, 09:15:22 PM
Each coin is differrent, some of them are popular and has massive supporters while other coins are just an average with same purpose like new coins sprouting. If you want to be a kind of investor that usually gain then you need to do an extensive research to end up in a good coin to invest in. However no one can predict the future value of our coins, we can speculate but there's no assurance that it will happen. So those gainers probably use their knowledge to invest in a coin that is worth for your time and effort.
There is one interesting fact that comes with both, recognized coins and the less recognized coins.

While recognized coins or I shall say the more popular upcoming coins like EOS had a massive ICO and was almost known to everyone. These kind of coins are good because the dump will almost never happen but what negative I see is that there will never be massive growth because there is not much scope of growth when everyone already knows about it.

Less recognized coins bring uncertainty because there might be a dump anytime soon since not much interest was there in the coin and no one cares. But also there are huge chances of the coin going sky high because as others get to know about a good coin which is not recognized the value goes sky high which is I believe what happened with tokens like YFI .. I am not sure why it dropped down again but it went too high once investors recognized it was good.
