2341  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there any reliable alternate for preev.com available on: November 05, 2019, 07:27:12 PM
Good websites were suggested but still I want to include on of them which hasn't written. This website is called: https://bitcoinian.com/ and is made by one of our member named:
teamer. Website looks as simple as preev but still better than that one. Seems because of good fantasy, there are not only btc/usd rates but also btc/banana rate, btc/lambo rate...
In overall there is six cryptocurrency which includes Bitcoin of course, Dash, Eth, LTC, Monero and Ripple.
2342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is a Race For an Internet-Native Currency, and Bitcoin is Leading It. on: November 05, 2019, 07:16:12 PM
I'm not sure internet native is the best word usage here. I would say it's a race to find the best, most anonymous most transparent and easiest to use currency for online payments.

I reckon the world would slowly turn into one with 2 payment methods, which make up the majority of transactions across the world. One for online purchases, like items from Amazon or buying in game currency for a game and the other one to be used in real life situations.

Anyway. If there was truly a race as described, Bitcoin would be winning it
At some point I think internet-native is great term there cause bitcoin was the first currency which takes roots from informational technologies and internet. For online payments, every currency is "easiest" and there are more anonymous ones too, for example Monero.
But I have no idea about "internet's own currency". Wait, if you convert bitcoins in fiat via internet too, then what this means? Bitcoin isn't independent, it's price is calculated in USD, it's not separate from it. So I wouldn't say fiat doesn't do this or that thing. As for now bitcoin is like fiat converter.
2343  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Why do whales move Bitcoin around from wallet to wallet? on: November 04, 2019, 05:41:09 PM
Are they splitting the coin up into smaller wallets so they do not keep all their eggs in one basket?  Any other reasons why?

There is a wide possible range of speculations that we can make when it comes to why whales move their coins around. Firstly, with whales being whales, it could be an attempt at market manipulation, trying to cause some FUDs when big amounts are seen moving on the blockchain. Secondly, although unclear, it could also be a result of coin tumbling, which the big traders use to get their hands on untraceable coins.
Got it, great comment there. I don't know why but a lot of people thinks it's because they have to move their coins from old wallets into new ones and keep them secure and etc. Well, yes, at some point such transactions are done by exchanges for those purposes but that's rare and it doesn't shine too. But usually whales do huge transactions to gain attention from others because it usually gets under attention very easily and famous news websites like cointelegraph, ccn and etc often post about huge moves from one wallet to another which is an extra help for them to achieve their goal.
2344  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crowdfunding traditional food on: November 04, 2019, 05:05:29 PM
It's so hard to read OP's post but I understood what's the point.
At first please can you tell us from which country you are? I guess according to information available in your profile, you are from Indonesia. You can add bitcoin payments anytime to your service and that's as easy as ABC but can't exactly say how beneficial it will be for your business because if there is no demand, than it's like to be or not to be.
If aim of adding bitcoin payments is to make it more popular among people in your country, then I suggest you to offer 10-20% or any sale to those clients who will pay in bitcoin.
2345  Economy / Economics / Re: Cost of Living Comparison on: November 03, 2019, 07:50:56 PM
The cost of living in my country is actually cheaper compared to other countries yet it's still hard for a local citizen in my country to survive for everyday living. Others might find it cheap but an average person here finds it difficult to manage daily expenses. According to the data, an inexpensive meal here costs around 4$ while in the US it's 20$ which is very cheap when you compare yet some can't even afford to eat 3x a day.

Every country people have such scenario, USA is not an exception. Same as other countries USA too has got people who can't afford three time meals. From outside it looks like so luxurious, but in reality USA too lacks. But, they try to hide it to the world. This might damage their value as the world's power. There are people in USA who live their entire life on vehicles just because they aren't able to afford the house rentals.
Comparing cost of lives blindly isn't correct, you have to consider a lot, really a lot of things. How easily can person from other country start job there, how are other people accepted there, what's common and average salary there and etc. For example average salary in one country is 150£ while in UK it's £2000, then 300% difference between cost of lives according to calculator that OP used, gives us absolutely useless information. Without doubt UK is a great choice.

the cost of living of each person is certainly different, we cannot compare it with others. and of course the cost of living in each region is different. because every city has different political and economic policies. so I don't think we need to compare our living costs with other people's living costs. what is important is that we can meet the cost of our lives and live happily I think that's enough.
I don't agree with you too, we have to compare. If there are issues with us, we need to fix it for our better future. Imagine yourself in 16th century as an imperator, you would may be one of the most happiest person as an imperator but also remember current situation: Imperator where you have no electricity, pc, smartphone and etc or current one with this opportunities? They don't had request on such things, haven't seen such thing and were happy with that way but now when you saw better things, you won't feel happy without them while they would because haven't seen.
2346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know if a gambling site is scam or not? on: October 31, 2019, 08:31:02 PM
I wonder how you do your research if a gambling site is scam or not?

If they offer something unusual like very high deposit bonus and they have a moderated announcement thread here, they do this so people cannot complain that they are a scam in their announcement thread, third is, if they have been reported in the scam section old gambling site can be trusted more than a new one, but it's better to ask the community for feedback before depositing.
To be fair unusually high deposit bonus isn't indicator of whether website is scam or not because when new casino is launched, they try their best to gain attention of people and get as much customers from the start as possible. But on another I would have some doubts in casino which doesn't have ANN thread here and isn't mentioned somewhere.
Also another great indicator is to see scam accusation threads there, why they were opened and how they were solved, how often are scam accusation threads against casino and for what reason, reasons are what you have to dig for while researching.
2347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto, here's an idea for you (if you are still out there): on: October 31, 2019, 08:17:35 PM

You are the genius behind Bitcoin and Blockchain or, to be more precise, behind its technological birth.

You could also be the genius behind its worldwide adoption. How?

By giving 10,000 Satoshi to every living human being on earth. Implementing this might be challening, but less so for a genius like you (I thought of an encrypted database where people can register with personal details, a means of identification and a Bitcoin address, allowing the Satoshi to be sent to them automatically and once only; but this is only a first idea and others might have better ideas).

Either way... If every human registered and registered only once (of course, this is unrealistic), you would still own enough bitcoin to be (rightfully) a rich man / woman / group - and you would have secured your place in our history books not only for giving Bitcoin to humanity, but also for giving it to every single human being.

Ideas & critical responses are more than welcome! Moreover: Sorry if this idea has already been posted on the forum (a quick search didn't lead to any similar discussions).

At first please can you tell me how is that possible to give 10,000 satoshi to every living human being on earth? Don't you know how many people all over the world has access to computer and internet? I guess no, otherwise you would't say that.
Also despite the fact that satoshi created bitcoin, doesn't mean he is superhero that can do every thing. At first bitcoin isn't first cryptocurrency. Then satoshi created good and mysterious story around bitcoin which really played some part in making this coin popular and on the way where it is now.
2348  Economy / Economics / Re: I'll Contend: There's Absolutely Nothing Shady, Corrupt or Criminal About Tether on: October 31, 2019, 07:55:29 PM
The reason why Tether and stablecoins have bad reputation is most likely because how some people say bitcoin is the only best cryptocurrency, others are just trash. People repeat this words blindly and that's all. To be fair I was never interested with Tether but that's my conclusion from posts made there.
On another hand, why is Tether good option for purchasing crypto via fiat? You mean that you buy Tether via fiat and then buy bitcoin and this process is done for better anonimity?
Can't be stablecoins looked this way: Coins for better privacy than other standard payment methods that share privacy of cryptos but with fixed price? To make it clear, bitcoin with fixed price?
2349  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is there anyway to buy alcohol online with bitcoin? on: October 31, 2019, 07:39:24 PM
Despite the fact that this thread is pretty old in reality, no one wants to post some links where it's possible to buy liquor, whisky and others internationally or via local online shop?
I think another big and great deal here for local ones are food delivery companies which accept bitcoin payments. This way you'll be able to buy alcohol you wish from store, pay in bitcoins online and get them on time, as soon as possible. Personally I don't know local food delivery companies which accept bitcoin payments but if you google it, there are some of them which are available in some countries.
2350  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you have to sell bitcoin to an alt, so... on: October 31, 2019, 07:24:31 PM
Describing a shitcoin varies from person to person. An alt that made you good money doesn't mean that it's a promising one. So please be honest, and if you ever have to sell your btc, what would you buy with them?

My first vote to Monero, for privacy reasons. Fuk ZEC and its "optional privacy" which is NOT a privacy actually. DASH? Lol, no privacy. Another bitcoin clone methinks.
Second one is Ethereum, there is no serious competitor in smart contract area.

I cannot find third one. Maybe NANO.
None coin is promising to be fair because they don't offer something very valuable which would be considered as promising except one to my mind and that's Monero because of it's privacy, that's why bitcoin is so popular too and monero rocks in this task, it's even better than bitcoin. Also I'm glad that I amn't alone and the only one who thinks so and takes second place for ethereum.
If you are looking for third one, to my mind that can be Grin coin, this coin really revived interest among people, theymos was also very interested with this project from the very begining.
2351  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Making a bitcoin cassino on: October 31, 2019, 06:54:06 PM
It would be possible to open a casino using only 3rd party providers and these agreements are fairly easy and affordable to make, you would then need a reasonably talented UI dev to build a site around them.

You can use them for table games, slots, live games, sports betting, pretty much anything you like these days. There's a lot more than just this of course which goes into running a casino, it's always best to have a team member experienced in running casinos and to have the tightest security, as online casinos are a target. I'm the CEO of Play Royal which is an established Tron casino now breaking out into the general cryptocurrency market and I'd be happy to have a chat with you if you have any questions.
I have to post again there. I wouldn't say 3rd party providers are affordable for everyone, it really needs good amount of money. What games do you want in your casino? Only dice? Even in this case you need to have huge bankroll in order to accept high bets from players and cover possible loses. Opening a casino doesn't mean it's the date where profit start counts. And also if you want other games like Live Blackjack, Baccarat and others, still you have to sign contract with live game service providers which aren't as affordable as you think. They charge good amount of money and without dedicated tables, you just depend on their generic rules.
2352  Economy / Economics / Re: US Congressman: Facebook Should Adopt Bitcoin, Drop Libra Project on: October 31, 2019, 06:22:25 PM
Facebook should adopt none payment method, maybe it will be better to see social network with really a lot of opportunities, even with one which will let us easy transactions but at first facebook is something that we can't and won't trust in this case. A website that doesn't care about our privacy, how can that be trusted with payments? After our emotions and expressions, thoughts shared on facebook, they also want to know how we spend our money which is double win for them but in overall not good for us.
So at some point I agree with you, we don't need Libra. It's nothing special, no, even worse.
2353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the discipline help in gambling? on: October 31, 2019, 06:01:41 PM
How strong does a character need to be to set aside some amount of money on a weekly gamble?
What needs to happen to make it happen?
Does the great loss solidify our character?
What exactly does it mean to discipline yourself in gambling (in the narrow sense)?
Should we be disciplined in gambling, does it mean that we are better at gambling, or that we put less money at stake with more enjoyment, less fear, adrenaline, etc. ?
Me interested in answering the last question?

At first you have to think about fun, not about profit, forget this last one cause you won't gain profit on long term but on short term, possibly yes and there are a lot of people who were lucky ones and won much money.
Discipline in gambling helps by minimizing the loss and maximizing the joy of gambling. Look at casinos like services which offer you some games in exchange of some money and if you can get fun from these games, you have to pay some bucks for that. And in discipline I mean all of these things which I wrote + controlling your budget, you habits, doesn't matter whether it's pleasurable or not, mustn't affect your budget seriously.
2354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Leading To Total Surveillance Of Payments? on: October 31, 2019, 05:09:19 PM
However, what remains clear is that we have an era of total surveillance ahead of us, and bitcoin is one of many technologies which empower it.

Bitcoin allows some ways of achieving pretty good privacy - currently we have mixers, in the future there will be Lightning Network, coinjoin, schnorr signatures and other options. Users also have to take steps to protect their privacy by following some rules - don't reuse addresses, be careful with what inputs you include, don't post your addresses on social networks, etc. It's seriously wrong to portray Bitcoin as a surveillance tool.

To be fair it's not so hard to track bitcoin payments and I believe during massive steals people were using all of the consideration which you stated but seems as time goes, it becomes more and more easier to track and catch your victims which uses bitcoin.
For privacy, there is better altcoin and it's Monero to my mind.
Well, bitcoin may increase surveillance of payments cause, I don't remember but one country plans to take rule that bitcoin transactions higher than 1K usd or something similar must be declared. It was posted on btctalk, can't remember the exact topic/post.
2355  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can you believe that this dice is real? on: October 31, 2019, 04:39:59 PM
The most curious thing here is that youbit, an exchange which is proven scam and people usually try to not keep their funds on this exchange cause there were a lot of cases that they didn't let their users to withdraw money, why will someone deposit money for gambling there? I can't see anything entertaining on yobit. Maybe I am wrong and someone who was trading and didn't gain as much profit as he/she wanted, decided to gamble and increase this way but still I can't trust to this company, so it's 50/50 whether those bets are real or just for attracting new people.
2356  Economy / Economics / Re: How many bitcoiners on here have actually used bitcoin/crypto for commerce? on: October 31, 2019, 04:12:14 PM
I spend bitcoin several times a week, both in person and online.

I've spoken about my in person spending on the forum before. I spend bitcoin predominantly at my local farmers' market, which runs every Sunday, and I usually visit 2-3 times per month. None of the stalls there accepted bitcoin when I first started going. I talked to my favorite stall repeatedly, stating I wanted to pay in bitcoin, and eventually they hopped on board. Now there are 4 or 5 different stalls there who all accept bitcoin and some other cryptocurrencies, and I am definitely not the only one paying in bitcoin. If you want to spend bitcoin, then you have to create demand for retailers to accept it. Any small or independent merchants or retailers you frequent are easy to talk to and raise the idea of them accepting bitcoin. Large retailers are companies are much harder - I've sent emails to many a customer support asking for bitcoin integration, but no success on this front yet. But nothing ventured, nothing gained, as they say. The more people who starting putting pressure on retailers to accept bitcoin, the better.

Online I have spent bitcoin on Newegg to buy electronics, on Overstock to buy various home goods, and on Bitrefill to buy fiat vouchers for a number of other retailers I use online and in person who don't yet accept bitcoin themselves. I've also moved the small amount of sports betting I do from a fiat site over to a bitcoin site.

If you include methods like bitcoin credit cards which will convert to fiat on the fly, then you can literally spend bitcoin anywhere. Widespread adoption and people using bitcoin for what it was intended - a currency - is the only way we will see sustainable, long-term growth of both the price and of bitcoin itself. The wild price movements up and down are based on speculation only. I can sympathize with people who don't want to spend their bitcoin as they think the price will increase, but it won't increase unless people are using it. Replace it if you want, buy more, earn more, talk to your employer about switching some of your salary from fiat to bitcoin or accept it in your own business, but go out and spend it.
I bold one proposal from your post which I liked the most and also I repeat that to almost everyone who just blindly says HODL bitcoins for long term cause money has to be in circulation, both for our development, more researches and etc and also for bitcoin too in this situation. They want high price but do nothing for that.
Well, not let's turn on subject. To be fair that depends on country where you live too, in some countries people can't even accept credit cards, not because they can't, no, because they just don't care about that. And when you say bitcoin with such people, they'll call you silly and tell you to pay cash or go away. Somehow there is such situation in some countries while in some people do their best to promote business and attract new people, consider their advice like they did in your case.
2357  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I am Looking For a free cryptocurrency exchange script on: October 30, 2019, 07:04:48 PM
You are looking for free script to open an exchange, what is your level of coding? If you have one while looking for free one? If some are too complicated to configure at the beginning, how will you cope with attack?
I think he is (or possible was) looking for script similar of shapeshift.io cause it's much easier and budget friendly to run something similar. Opening of exchange requires a lot of money and resources, I highly doubt anyone normal will really dream about starting an exchange with free script and sees bright in future too. So more likely it will be script where you'll exchange btc/eth and similar ones. But the problem is that OP has to understand that mostly free scripts are nulled ones which will ruin every website finally, nulled scripts aren't safe and also no one can guarantee that CMS will be free from bugs.
2358  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do we still expect a repeat of 2017 ? on: October 30, 2019, 03:44:32 PM
The year 2017 was a golden year for bitcoin wherein it got global attention after the crazy pump in it's value but are we still expecting a repeat of 2017 for the end of 2019 or beginning of 2020 ? Do we have any concrete proof that we will experience bull run apart from the bitcoin halving ? We expected the same last year but ended up in disappointment and will it be wise to expect the same or we can expect a decent pump if not multi fold increase in the value of bitcoin and altcoin ?
I personally expect to see the repeat of 2017 again and I have some reasons why I believe in it. At first remember what caused rise in 2017 year? People had huge hope that with halving they would reach 1000$ again because halving in reward means less bitcoins mined which just have to push price to rise and we got it, even more, from 600$ we reached to 20k usd.
What we want currently too? To see price rise again and not fall even deeper, so I think with this wish and halving which will revive hope among people, I expect to see serious price rise again.
2359  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where you take inspiration when you tired from trading? on: October 30, 2019, 02:15:21 PM
I rarely need inspiration to be fair cause I motivate myself somehow to do and achieve some things. To be fair can't say that any trader inspires me, idk if there are famous traders cause I don't care about that but on another hand in bitcoin holding, yeah, there are some people who really inspire me cause you will often see some famous stories where some people kept bitcoin for years and sold in great time. On another hand what gives me some hope during holding is that bitcoins which are meant to be owned by satoshi, aren't moved or touched.
2360  Economy / Gambling / Re: Private Bustadice + Bustabit Script (.6 BTC/600K Bits per Hour) on: October 30, 2019, 01:31:17 PM
Well, I believe it's your account, no problem but as I see account was created two weeks ago. From the story, as I understood and if we consider the data of your account, some weeks ago, despite the fact that you were in debt, you put some money out from your pocket and paid to programmer who coded script for you. Then with this script, you were able to gain 50K usd and now you paid debt which you had, decided to sell script in order to help others, you are out of business and not interested in gambling.
To be fair, I think you had to think a little bit before writing that story cause it's very funny to read, sounds like a fairy tale with childish story.
