2361  Other / Off-topic / Re: Average Age of Bitcoin users on: December 03, 2016, 12:43:56 PM
This is the question which is really hard to answer. I checked the "22-30" because I personally know some people of that age using Bitcoins, me included, but I also know that people who were at the very beginning are much older and that there are lots of them. Nice poll btw. I think if many users will participate we'll know the answer, at least approximately.
2362  Economy / Economics / Re: How many BTC will make you a fiat millionaire in 5 years? on: December 03, 2016, 12:15:35 PM
I think 100-500 BTC will be enough in 5 years, but it will be closer to 500 though. I mean it is very possible that Bitcoin be over $2,000 and hence having 500 BTC will make a millionaire. I do believe that one Bitcoin will be over $100k eventually, but not so fast, not in 5 years.

It is honestly very large amount compare here in my country 10-25 btc is enough and i think 5 years we will see more advantage on the price more price increase that we will see in the future. here in my country even 50 btc is enough and you can sell it right now to be millionaire unlike in other places like in US places or in canada.. they are need a large amount of bitcoin before they will be millionaire in that countries.

I think it doesn't depend on a country you live in. When we say "millionaire" we mean in US Dollars and not in any other currency, because that would be nonsense. Since we are here from around the world when we talk about money we talk about US Dollars for convenience.
2363  Economy / Gambling / Re: [$10][Javascript] PrimeDice Script Bot + Method on: December 03, 2016, 11:54:29 AM

~snip~
The only reason i think about people who selling their method is, if you can earned easy money from your own script/bot, why you want selling it to other people?  Cool

That is the question which is always in my head too when I see similar proposals. The truth is there is no "method" to win on PrimeDice or on any other gambling site. Why am I saying this instead of just shut up and move on? Because I know there are still people who, especially the young ones, who might buy the script and thus lose not only $10 but probably much more. So, OP, please don't be rude to other commentators because this forum is meant to be a place for discussion.
2364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: December 03, 2016, 11:03:50 AM
It is funny to see that even though ETH has dropped significantly in the last days the price of it is still higher then it was when OP was made. To be more precise it was 0.0066 BTC in February 6 and it is 0.011 BTC now. Idk what will happen in the future, there are chances it will drop even more, but for now OP was right - ETH was cheap then, compared to today's price.

You shouldn't speak too soon, you know. 0.01 is breached and volume is still lacklustre. Zooming the chart out to the 3D or 1W, this is following the pattern of a classical crypto bubble.

Well it was hit on all fronts, dao, attacks, hacks, forks...I think if it hits $7 it would be a good time to start buying if you are not already accumulating already. The reason is that this is the long trendline from before the DAO. Yes it can go to $5-6 depending on BTC rally but to me that's a steal. It all comes down to long term potential and BTC can't be the only blockchain ruling the world, they complement each other perfectly and the market will eventually react to that.

Plus, BTC will be dumping soon, not sure what's the top but we are very close, when that happen you will see ETH shorts getting rekt and the bounce will be epic to 150k and above (it could still come down after that though).

I'm sorry maybe I'm missing something because I'm new to this thing and just trying to understand, but why are you saying "to 150k and above" if it is already (or still?) over 0.01? I mean 0.01 is a 1000k right?

And I don't think BTC will dump soon. Not this time. $750 - $800 is a reasonable price for BTC for now IMO.
2365  Other / Politics & Society / Re: #PIZZAGATE Arrests in Canada, 400 Children Rescued! on: December 03, 2016, 10:52:10 AM
"... Project Spade uncovered an entire pedophile movie production and distribution company in Toronto operating online, and nearly 400 children have been rescued, and 348 adults have been arrested. Among the hundreds arrested, there were 40 school teachers, 9 doctors and nurses,  9 pastors and priests, 6 law enforcement personnel and 3 foster parents.

Clearly, this is not the phantom “conspiracy theory” that many are attempting to paint it as, but the majority of people know this already. ..."

"40 school teachers, 9 doctors and nurses,  9 pastors and priests, 6 law enforcement personnel and 3 foster parents"
WTF is wrong with this world? How those people can become school teachers? Aren't they testing them somehow to know whether they are psychos or not? And what about law enforcement personnel? They surely have tests for them.

Indonesian Investigator Claims Bitcoin is Funding ISIS Operations

For the umpteenth time, a government official claims there is a correlation between Bitcoin and terrorist group ISIS. Faisal Tayeb, Head of Investigation of Special Detachment 88, made that statement to the press last night. Officials are struggling to shut down funding options for terrorist activities, so they point the finger of blame at Bitcoin. So far, no credible evidence to back up these claims has been presented.

http://www.newsbtc.com/2016/11/30/indonesian-investigator-claims-bitcoin-funding-isis-operations/

Saying that Bitcoin is funding terrorists and criminals is the most stupid claim which was proved to be absolute rubbish. I'm very sorry for the Indonesian people that they have such "investigators" in their country. We all have them, I know, the question is how powerful they are, because this investigator in question is the "Head of Investigation" so he is powerful and that's bad.

I think the comment after the article covers it perfectly:

"I'm actually a researcher on counter-terrorism (and an avid bitcoin fan) and I've discussed this with a guy who's actually been into ISIS territory to research their funding and economy and he's never come across any of this before. At the end of the day the US dollar remains the store of value most used by criminals and terrorists. People love to talk about how Bitcoin is so unregulated and dangerous, but please do remind me how well banks and governments did to prevent the billions of dollars laundered as found in the panama papers" - berto • 2 days ago
2368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Worldwide! on: December 02, 2016, 06:43:55 PM
Well, a good topic for discussion. I think very soon bitcoin will be requirement of the digital world and almost all the countries in the world make it an official currency running along with current traditional currency and most of the businesses will do their transactions through bitcoin. A pure worldwide !

I agree. I don't know how much time it will take but to me it looks like only very stupid or evil people resist to Bitcoin. Of course I mean governments, simple people have the right to do whatever they want, but governments should do what is good for their people and that's why they shouldn't resist Bitcoin in any way. IMO Bitcoin will spread no matter how hard they resist though.
2369  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump knows about Aliens?? on: December 02, 2016, 06:37:31 PM
The say that every US President knows whether aliens exist or not.

you think trump will tell us as the first president if there are Aliens if there are really any??

Do you really think it is possible to hide from people such important information nowadays? Ok, let's just assume it is. What about those who were presidents before? Why don't they tell us? Or beofre they are leaving the White House this information is wiped out from their brains? Seriously, I think if any such info was known to anybody on Earth we would know already too.
2370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Economic Nobel prize for Satoshi Nakamoto on: December 02, 2016, 02:35:44 PM
That's all... Claim Economic Nobel prize for Satoshi Nakamoto

That's a good idea, he definitely deserves it. The thing is, however, he won't disclose his identity even for receiving the Nobel Prize, in my opinion. He has too much to hide from the stupid tax agencies which will try to put him in jail for "tax evasion". I know they will be not right in doing that but I'm sure they will try anyway.
2371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In what gambling games are you good at? on: December 02, 2016, 02:24:17 PM
Sometimes I think I can predict which team will win and even with what score, but I never placed a bet on it yet. So far I tried only dice games where I lose constantly. So I guess there is no gambling game I'm good at at the moment.
2372  Economy / Gambling / Re: ➫ ➬ ➫ ➬ LUCKYB.IT ★ +2M bets ★ +100,000 BTC wagered on: December 02, 2016, 02:17:35 PM
Nice game!
Do you have giveaway now?
As far as i know you will be awarded for chatting on luckybit, if you have wagered at least 0.01 btc(resets daily) and folks have to keep on betting to keep the lotto-bot alive. on occasions of happy hour/promotion the prizes on luckybit can be as high as 1 btc.

I'm sorry, does this mean you should wager 0.01 per day to claim? If yes then for me it is not so easy to do. But that depends on the prize of course. How often do they give 1 BTC? I think I'd wager 0.01 for a chance to get it.
2373  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Would you eat a human? on: December 02, 2016, 02:07:27 PM
Hell no! Can't imagine a situation when I would even consider doing it. It is better to starve to death than to eat a human flash. By the way I think there are always options with other food like birds, fish, snakes or even some insects. In fact I think human flan was eaten only during some religious rituals and not because of hunger.
2374  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: December 02, 2016, 02:02:07 PM
I hope there in no much panic on pumping and dumping the coin because only few people will be selling the coin many members are saving bitcoin for their future returns, the price of bitcoin will drop only when people are keep selling the bitcoin and also it will reduce the price when people stop buying the bitcoin.

Now a days many people keep buying the bitcoin when compared to selling so there is no need of any panic.

Panic selling creates a temporary impact and thus price decreases for short period of time. There are some investors who wait for such incidents (they usually place a high volume orders in case of mega price drop) and thus the panic selling brings opportunities for the investors who want to accumulate more coins so even if there is panic selling wave there are limit orders placed by investors to buy bitcoins at lower prices and thus it prevents a huge price drop.

That's true. Without those orders we'd be witnessing many significant drops almost to the very bottom but those orders prevent this from happening fortunately. Actually people who are buying when the price is going down rapidly are heroes IMO, they have so much trust in Bitcoin and in a way they are saving it from death so to speak.
2375  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-12-02]Alfa-Bank will record the identity of blockchain customers on: December 02, 2016, 01:26:54 PM
In mid-November, the largest Russian bank - Alfa-Bank released a mobile app "Potok", which allows you to record an online interview at registration of a request for a loan.

The app was created in conjunction with BlockNotary command that previously had developed blockchain solution addressed to compliance issues of KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti Money Laundering)...https://bit.news/eng/alfa-bank-will-record-identity-blockchain-customers/

If this means you must to record an online interview at any registration that's a bad thing because you lose your anonimity completely doing that. But if it is required only for request for a loan then maybe it is not so bad. Loans are among things one should avoid anyway.
2376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money? on: December 02, 2016, 01:20:30 PM
They are actually all money but the big difference is Bitcoin the users are few while money we all use it. In the current situation only money is legal while bitcoin is not legal in some countries, so basically you can see that bitcoin is weaker compared to real money.

I disagree. First, there are only a few countries where Bitcoin is illegal right now. Second, we all can use Bitcoin, but we can't use other currencies except for our national currency. The main difference between Bitcoin and "real money" is that Bitcoin is rising with time and those "real money" are falling in their purchasing ability.
2377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH under 8$!!! on: December 01, 2016, 05:28:17 PM
Its at $8.35 right now. Many people are discourage and dumping eth. Thats why it drops at $8.30. But this is still good. This is the right time to buy ethereum because its cheap. This ctypto is still good to me. The last time i saw it was $8, then its $8.35. I guess this will rise again. Eth is not dead yet. It still alive. We will see that in a week.

I wouldn't say that the new rising of ETH has already started but at least the falling has stopped. I don't know about buying it now is a good idea or not. IMO it can stabilize around 0.012 for a long period of time from now, so if buying now you wouldn't be able to sell it with profit.
2378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: December 01, 2016, 05:17:23 PM
Bitcoin is difficult to explain. I also felt difficulties in understanding bitcoin for the firs time. Let's share how to explain bitcoin to children of teenagers. In My country I can say 98% children don't know bitcoin. In fact, bitcoin can be future money. If the children not familiar with cryptocurrency or bitcoin, how can they face the digital era in the future.

I agree that Bitcoin can be future money and that it's better if your children, or children you care about, knew what it is. I think you should start from the very beginning. First explain how barter-like methods worked. Then explain how many cultures around the world eventually developed the use of commodity money. Then proceed to the use of coins, then to the use of paper money. then to the use of e-money. Finally tell that Bitcoin is a new step further in the development of our world.

Maybe moving some % of BTC into ETH is a good diversification strategy, while it's cheap?

It is funny to see that even though ETH has dropped significantly in the last days the price of it is still higher then it was when OP was made.
