There are 5 registered for the 50k gtd right at this current moment. If one more person registers, it may start. C'mon someone! Not only is it a guaranteed prizepool, but it's also a guaranteed overlay with just 6 runners.

So, did it happen? I missed that one and right now it is only one player, Gennady, is registered for the tournament. And if it happened, who won?  Smiley
1362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with altcoins on: August 09, 2017, 09:47:27 AM
I don't gamble much so my vote went for that. But I do gamble and I enjoy doing it with bitcoin. The only reason I see why to gamble with altcoins is when they give you them for free.
gambling with altcoin is i think not so, different than that of bitcoin. both are digital currency and works same but it really depends upon the will of the user or interest of the user that in which he is interested in. i think altcoin in gambling will also become interesting if they pay good price money and it also depends upon worth of them.

Altcoins may be attractive to gamble with because of the faster transactions/lower transaction fees. But imo it is still gambling and it doesn't matter what is the price of an alt you are gambling with. What matters is whether you win or lose, and that depends on your luck at any given moment of time.
Fees also shouldn't bother anyone who is going to gamble. If you are not lucky that money is already lost so 1$ up or down won't make any difference. And bitcoin transactions are very fast lately with very low fees, unless bitcoin price jumps over $50K in that case gambling will become "entertainment for the rich". But that is far future.
If Bitcoin prices jump over $50k fees will have to adapt as well. If not, people will just gamble with altcoins instead. And there's always the option of just gambling with fiat.

I don't think fees will rise with the price rising. I don't know much about the technical side, but I'm telling from my own experience. Fees were much higher than now one month ago but the price of bitcoin was much lower.
i think yes that the transaction fee is already so high and i think people already find it difficult to hold pay the fee therefore to me i think the the fee may not not be increase with the increasing price of bitcoin i think we are even expecting that the transaction fee will be over view and may be the exchanges reduce the transaction fee.

This is not about fees set by exchanges. We are talking about transaction fees which required for fast transactions. For now many altcoins, if not all of them, have much lower fees than bitcoin.

is this winner take all if there's only 6?

Normally, on other poker sites, they announce how many places are paid after the late registration closes.

Btw, will there be late registration for this tournament?

Hi
My ID in blockchain  368ac49b-9f06-440f-b4ef-58343905e5bc
Yesterday I want get BTH on my blockchain wallet and finded video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRZHTt_lwBA&t=1s. I make step by steps by this video and as result all my money was stolen.
As I understand today thieves can do this after know my Backup phrase of 12 words and sent my money to 1Be7Ej9WA8ioDuqrRKCaGcCBM6Uu3Mci53. I don't know all this nuances, please help me return my money.
Thanks

Unfortunately the video is no longer there and I wanted to see what is it. As I can see from replies in this thread scammers have stolen a lot of money from different people.
Its a good thing that account/video was taken down as more people who have fallen prey to this kind of scam

Can someone please post a link to a similar video? Of course I'm not going to follow their instructions, it's just interesting to see to avoid such scammers.
Putting a similar video wouldn't be a good idea because others might want to try their method and lose out, best we do not even know about it!

Not knowing about something potentially harmful is not the best way to deal with things imo. Of course I wasn't going to follow the instructions in the video, I only wanted maybe to study it to warn my friends.

Great news! I think I can try my luck in the tournament although I can't say I play good.  I can only hope for many aces and kings in my hands.  Smiley

Waiting for the Aug 9. Hopefully the Buy In won't be too much for me. Smiley
1367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: August 07, 2017, 01:17:43 PM
Giving up gambling is not easy when you are already addicted in any kinds of gambling. It is not easy to quit in gambling and this can be the hardest part that you decide. Especially when you think that gambling makes fun and this is already your hobby. Sometimes we need to sacrifice yourself for your goodness. But there are many ways if you want to give up, you need to talk to your friends and family and ask for help what to do.

Most likely it is better to seek professional help rather than talking to your friends and family. All they can say is "quit gambling as soon as possible" what you already know by yourself but can't do that. And only professionals can tell you about a realistic way to quit gambling.

1369  Economy / Economics / Re: How long could bitcoin last? on: August 07, 2017, 12:14:36 PM
As of right now, the bitcoin price is expected to keep going up in the next 20 years. But can it last that long? I believe it's possible. But can't it crash at a random time? Like the price going down hard.

There should be reasons for the fall. Since bitcoin adoption is on its way and many people are still to come to the world of bitcoin Ithink price can only rise in the future. Of course there will be down times caused by bad events like MtGox crash or something like that, but they will not last long and bitcoin will rise again afterwards.
that is true that bitcoins have a great future. Bad events are the parts of a development of a particular currency. I don’t think so any event or currency that can pose a serious threat to the existence of bitcoins. I don’t think so that with the facility of internet world is ever going to be empty of bitcoins.

MtGox crash like news can ruin the image of bitcoin for a long period of time, but not for forever. Bitcoin like the Phoenix shall rise from the ashes after any disastrous downfall, as we've seen it many times.

As I can see from posts in this thread, many of you guys are willing to participate in GTD tournaments. Check out this thread from time to time because OP said earlier that they are planning to run such tournaments in the near future. Good luck!  Smiley

GTD tournaments with overlay is always attractive. And a good way to draw in new players. Poker players love value.  Grin

Yes, Freeroll tournaments with just $10 GTD attract hundreds of players. I think more active human players is what we need on BTCKINGS.
1372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When to leave the game? on: August 06, 2017, 06:10:39 PM
Many addicted to gamble that they don't know how to leave gamble even they won they want to play more until there money lose all. That is my problem when i gamble i don't know how to leave in casino thats why i always lose. But now i stop it.
It's not only your problem or the problems of a small group of people everyone in gambling don't really know when to stop winning is really hard but when someone keeps winnig he doesn't stop and thinks he cam earn more than his goal and finally loses all. You should always stick to your goal and quickly withdraw after achieving it

The reason why people don't stop after winning is that they think that with larger bankroll you can potentially win more. And that is true, but at some point you have to stop.
1373  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: August 06, 2017, 05:45:10 PM
Even the blind can see that crypto Currency is making people millionaires all  over the world just because they present the holders of such currency with the financial freedom and opportunity to accrue large amounts of wealth base on currency investment . But my question is that, is it late to buy bitcoin? Should i wait maybe bitcoin price will decline after 1st August meeting? Please i will welcome your advice so that I can make my decision on crypto currency investment.
It's not too late. Few days ag, Bitcoin price was just around 27xx$ and now, everyone can see that it's 31xx$. So if you spent 2700$ buying Bitcoin, I would have had a profit of 400$. It's not a bad invvestment. So that it's not too late to buy Bitcoin, the hard thing is to find a suitable time to buy.

What I like with bitcoin is that any time is a good time to buy. You can only think of whether you will profit big time or just a small amount but with years it is guaranteed that you will profit from buying bitcoin. I don't know maybe if bitcoin was $10k+ I wouldn't say that, but $3k+ is definitely not the high limit for bitcoin.

1377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your game and why? on: August 05, 2017, 01:21:08 PM
My game is DICE because it is simple and much fun. Especially I like to play it on Primedice.

I'm learning how to play poker these days, so maybe in the future I'll have two fav games. Smiley
I do see for all fun seeking gamblers are preferring dice gambling. Probably the reasons must be its simplicity and we can get our profit or loss in seconds.

When we want to gamble on the go then dicing must be the right choice. I do gamble in my office hours in short breaks. For quick entertainment dicing must be the right choice. So far I'm not into profits with my dice gambling still I'm loving playing it. When we do not expect any material benefits from gambling then dicing must be the very perfect choice.

My profit in dice fuctuates around zero, plus minus 100k satoshis, but I don't gamble for profits so I'm actually glad I'm not losing much to it. It's fun in the first place, which helps you to relax, to rest from hard work, from studying biology in my case. Dice is definitely my game for now, whether I'm winning or losing with it.
1378  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: August 05, 2017, 12:54:05 PM
For now I have gold and bitcoin, I keep gold for the long term, while for bitcoin for investment for the medium and short term. So both include my choice for investment.

I think bitcoin is even better than gold for a long term investment. I think we can see tenfold rise in price for BTC in the next 10 years and it hardly will happen to gold.

With gold it certainly will not happen. There is no reason for gold to rise so much. But there are all reasons for so much to rise in price bitcoin. This currency is becoming very popular and soon its price will soar upwards
That's the reason why I believe bitcoin is a better investment now, gold if for stable income and it requires you to
start a decent amount so you can benefit greater profit when you sell. I think we should be more focus on a high risk investment
like bitcoin because it has already given success to some.

I agree that investing in bitcoin is more risky than investing in gold. Gold is known for centuries as a good investment and bitcoin is not known at all to some people yet. But among the investments which promise you high profits bitcoin is the least risky, and I'd stick to it if I had money to invest.
1379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does experience matter in gambling? on: August 05, 2017, 12:19:31 PM
Experience does matter in gambling especially regarding your attitude to gambling in whole. Unexperienced gamblers think they can invent a strategy with which they will be winning constantly and only with time we understand that that is a very dangerous way of thinking.
Exactly. People mistake experience as something that they can only apply when they're playing already but experienced gamblers know better. Having known and experinced several situations and results, whether negative or positive, experienced gamblers would know how to react and adapt. They are also more in control of their emotions that makes them less prone to making silly mistakes

Experienced gamblers are better? where do you even get this stuff from? there are nothing as experienced gambler or whatsoever. There are only people that is lucky or people that is unlucky. Most people are unlucky that is why we lose in gambling however what do you even expect from a EV- games except for losses?

Maybe you're a casual gambler, experience is the key for people who think gambling is the main job, are you talking about dice or roulette? Then you are 100% correct. The assumption of gambling is pure luck is an old-style argument.

You are pretty much in delusion. No matter how experienced you are in a poker game ( for example ) if you keep on having bad cards then you wont be able to win no matter how you good you are in bluffing. The main factor to determine you to win or not is luck and it is not about having experience at all

That's why I said that experience matters only because with practice you will know that no strategies will help you to win constantly. Indeed luck is the main factor in gambling, but only being experinced gambler you can comprehend this.

Today i received my second withdrawal of 0.08 btc. My first withdrawal was also the same amount and i also have 0.05 btc on my cashier so i think i made about 0.2 btc profit excluding my initial deposit of 0.017 btc.

I think i can easily make 100 usd daily on btckings if i played 7-8 hours but i only play 1-2 hours cause i don't want to bleed the site dry Tongue

I think poker players who don't play on btckings are missing out on some easy and stress free profits.

Congratulations, bul168! Great profit!

I still don't know how to play poker to win as many as you on a regular basis, buit my profit is positive there overall.

Thank you Smiley

I have not met you at the tables yet but it's nice to see that there are other players enjoying the most awesome BTC poker site Smiley

Yeah, I rarely play poker because I only starting to learn how to play it. Even bots outplay me some times. Smiley

But l saw you destroying bots there under the name gr1bul or something like that. Smiley Great play!
