That's one very small improvement, but still an improvement, yes or no? We do have many more that will improve the user experience for both the buyer and vendor.

Also what is your opinion on increasing the accessibility? Any feedback is good feedback if it is constructive.

Every new venture is an uphill battle, that we do not deny but one battle we shall enjoy taking on  Wink

LMAO so if I built a Satoshi Dice clone and gave some prices in local currencies that is an "improvement" but still a direct copy of Satoshi Dice.

Accessibility isn't an issue thou so I have no opinion about it, since your dealing with contraband items those people have only one option to do it thru tor, or not.

Every new venture is an uphill battle but if you don't see your a direct clone your going to have a big battle in that space, against a big whale "Silk Road". Look at Atlantis same concept and it is failing, so yeah I doubt you win this battle.
2362  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [ANN] TheFreeMarket - Launch (est) 21st June 2013 [BTC/LTC/PPC] on: April 30, 2013, 05:12:47 PM
So what is the direct copy of Silkroad, the fact that we will allow contraband and an escrow system. You tell us other areas that we have copied and I will explain how we believe we have improved on that area.

That would be a simple way to go about things.

Not greedy at all, would happily do it for free if it was sustainable on advertising revenues.

Ok you have an onsite lottery that is the only difference.
2363  Economy / Lending / Re: 1.5 BTC loan for 2 weeks on: April 30, 2013, 02:25:16 AM
So you went from .10 loan to 1.5 loan now, do you have any other transactions that maybe are larger and aren't with a newbie?
2364  Other / Off-topic / My crazy experience... on: April 30, 2013, 01:30:05 AM
So I am very lucky I access to an incubator that is attached to my university. I spend most of my time there building my projects and everyone around knows that I am doing bitcoin projects. Well coming to the end of the semester I was invited to the PHD thesis on security and encryption. I went, and listened everything was standard. Then one person started to talk about tor, and some things he was doing with it very cool stuff. Then started to talk about bitcoins, now my eyes were light up. So at the end one of the professors was talking about bitcoins, and of course I had to join in. The professor wanted to know the best way to convert dollars to bitcoins, I stepped up and start telling him. I ended up giving an improve 1hr intro to bitcoin and answer questions, I never thought this day would come but it was amazing! So much fun! We are mainstream.
2365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoins and VCs on: April 30, 2013, 01:13:16 AM
I was reading there is quite a bit of news about more VCs interested in bitcoin. They were saying how it is gold 2.0 and all this stuff. This got me thinking, why don't VCs give out bitcoin? I mean I know the legal area could present a challenge but none of them ever say if they are invested into bitcoins or hold bitcoins. They could do a deal where they give half in bitcoin and half in USD. Just curious I would like to see what are other people's opinion about it...
2366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How are bitcoins anonymous? on: April 29, 2013, 08:23:09 PM
Not true, it records the IP address of the node that relayed the transactions to them. Just don't connect to them and your fine.

If u buys drugs and pay from "tied" addresses, and ur IP in most of this transactions then it will be quite hard to prove that it wasn't u.

The blockchain itself holds no ip information, and if you don't connect to blockchain.info's node, how can they find your ip? They can't. Remember bitcoin's is anonymous if you make it anonymous Wink

Blockchain.Info is usually connected to 1000 nodes. What's its IP to avoid accidental connection?

I don't know, I use the -connect switch to connect to only nodes I trust. Also I use tor Wink

couldn't BitInstant just save my bitcoin address to my name and be able to track exactly where those coins go forever using the block chain

Just send your BTC to a new wallet and delete the one you used to buy bitcoins. Nobody will know, did you send your BTC to yourself or to somebody else.

IP address will be the same. So don't forget to change it. And never use these coins with ur old IP.

Is IP address recorded in the blockchain?

No, but http://blockchain.info does it.

Shit. I did not know this.

Any screen shot for proof? How do we know your not just trying to manipulate the market with FUD?
2369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Roger Ver and Jon Matonis pushed aside now that Bitcoin is becoming mainstream on: April 29, 2013, 06:57:28 AM
So Gweedo would you now like to record a lecture for my poorly researched course? We could use your knowledge and experience to bring things up to par.

I told you to pm me and we can work something out.
2370  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Good Representation of Typical Bitcoin Hater on: April 29, 2013, 05:23:42 AM
This is a good representation of the typical Bitcoin hater.  Cheesy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Co6fSRHpDI0

Willfully ignorant and proud of it. U. S. A. ! U. S. A. !

I fix that for you.

He basically said himself, he didn't take the time to understand what it is, and how keeping track of twitter followers and bitcoins is very very very different. Can't blame him, I actually messaged him just now to see if I could teach him about bitcoins.

Considering the gold rush around peer-to-peer currency Bitcoin, it’s not surprising that one of the hackers at the Disrupt NY hackathon created an application around the currency. Pay With Bits was to be a Square for Bitcoin. The startup essentially allows Bitcoins to be transfered between parties via their mobile phones.

The NY disrupt is showing some great ideas, but this is of course one of my favorites it looks awesome!
2373  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should MFC girls take BTC? on: April 28, 2013, 09:58:18 PM
MFC has a lot of problems, I actually talked to the guy that runs MFC, back a long time ago, and he didn't want to give up his profits. Bitcoins would undercut his I think 50% of the girls profits, because you can easily send them to the girl and just use the site as platform for video chats. So maybe one day he will allow you to buy tokens but I feel like that would just insult bitcoin cause bitcoin is already doing what those tokens do on a larger scale.
2374  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to give out free coins on: April 28, 2013, 06:51:35 PM

2375  Bitcoin / Project Development / [ANN] Qcl.me has added the ability to shorten Bitmessage Addresses on: April 25, 2013, 10:23:30 PM
That is right, I just added bitmessage address to http://qcl.me address shortener, you can now just put it in like any coin address, pick a short name and now you can hand a simple, short url.

If you have any other alt-coin addresses you want be added, leave them in this thread. The address has to have a identifiable way to tell it apart from other coin addresses.
2376  Bitcoin / Legal / Who is the best lawyer in bitcoins? on: April 25, 2013, 07:32:21 PM
I want to know who is the best lawyer, to be dealing with, when it comes to bitcoins?
2377  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Police State? on: April 24, 2013, 07:03:29 PM
You just implied that all bankers are jews, this is a racial slur.   Isn't that EXACTLY what Hitler said?

No he is talking about a hateful user, called antibanker who was about talking about jews and banking.
2378  Bitcoin / Project Development / [Looking for feedback] Bitcoin Angel Investment Forum on: April 24, 2013, 05:48:56 PM
For a while I been thinking of starting a Bitcoin Angel Investment forum, because it is hard to invest in some of the hottest bitcoin startups, and they usually go to VC's and angels first. I hopping to create a forum where users can easily pitch and get seed capital for ideas that will change the bitcoin future.

To join the forum, you will have to signed and allow me to verify that you have control of at least $5,000 of wealth in Bitcoins. People I respect or have contributed to the community will be able to be join without doing the above part.

The way it will work, a suitable company will sign up on the forum. They will not lay out their company, they will ask if they can pitch to the crowd. I will then pm them, they will be asked for their elevator pitch, and a working prototype of the idea. Then the elevator pitch will be posted privately, only seen by members. It will be discussed in private. If the members vote saying that the user should be allowed for a full pitch the user will be allowed to join in the discussion thread, not the private one, but new clean one. Any questions or deals the members want to make can be done there.

Also the members will be able to pitch any time skipping the vote part.

After a deal is hammered out, I will be personality be acting as an escrow and release the seed funds based on the deal that is made. The escrow only applies to bitcoins, USD can be better handled with lawyers.

The company will be asked to post updates to a thread so we can track progress and they can ask for more seed capital if they need it.

I know this isn't perfect but this is a start of the first bitcoin angel investment forum, for users to pitch and get seed money. I hope to better the bitcoin community and make it a stronger network. I will not be poaching for people to join, and this is in the idea and in the design phase so anything can change. Bylaws will be written up, before full launch. I will also try to secure about 10 people to be include with the launch.

Give me some feedback of what the community think.
2379  Economy / Gambling / Re: New BTC Found on: April 24, 2013, 03:25:09 AM
I am done with this thread, since a mod is either investor in your company or what ever. They are not marking post that are on topic, off-topic and that is censorship that I don't want to be apart of. I think this is ridiculous of people that get there threads kept and post that get deleted. I hardly ever complain about it, but now I have to at least say something. This will probably be deleted.

That is an inconvenience, not a weakness. This is why newbies shouldn't be making classes, now your going to spread false information to people who will think your an expert. Thank you for spreading misinformation.

Gweedo my goal is to help people understand how Bitcoin works. Maybe one day, i'll be as knowledgeable and wonderful as you, but until then I'm simply going to continue working hard and answering as many questions as I can. You may have also noticed that I have reached out to many experts within the community including Wladimir J. van der Laan to help me edit and refine my content.

In all the software projects I've worked on, weaknesses are not just considered security flaws. If I build a system that requires my users to do something cumbersome to be safe, then most users will not do it. I am truly sorry such a concept is lost to you. I am also sorry that I have offended you in some way by building a free course with members of this community.

No I was very happy you changed it from that greedy $9 to free, and even gave it to some friends. But now your just saying the software has weaknesses it clearly doesn't have a weakness, if it did I be the first one on a soapbox screaming about it. Weakness in software development means that it can be hacked. This is an inconvenience that is necessary so a hacker couldn't take advantage. So I think you need more refinement and more information before making insane comments, that discredit you and your course.

Also your failing at your goal as in to help people if your going start saying misinformation.

Also I am sorry but since I work for my self and I been working with bitcoin for the last 2 years, I doubt you be as knowledgable as me, but you can try. I am probably more than 3/4 to the 15,000 hours to be an expert on bitcoin.
