And there it is.  This has bust written all over it.  7 foot lanky children aren't meant for the bodying up on nba level players.  Chet is out for the season after a foot injury from guarding lebron.  This kid is going to be hurt every year.  They should have drafted jabari.
2382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it profitable to invest in ApeCoin(APE)?? on: August 24, 2022, 08:05:17 PM
Even thought ApeCoin exists on the Ethereum blockchain, is it profitable? Huh Huh

That's an odd question.  Are you insinuating that nothing on the eth chain is/has been profitable?  Honestly that doesn't have as much bearing on it than the team behind it.  Don't think long term ape nfts will be worth anything and likewise apecoin seems like just a fad to me.
2383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 24, 2022, 08:03:38 PM

Yes, probably he'll retire in Lakers but that ain't sure as of now because he also said that he would follow his son to whichever team Bronny will fall. The good thing about Lebron is that he doesn't really rely on his talent alone because he knew that it wouldn't make him what he is today if he will just rely on his talent all the way, he added some extra recipe for him to be great and that is the dedication and hard work.

Maybe Lakers will bring Bronny to the team in respect to LeBron, not sure though what future will be for this father and Son journey

but it's something that NBA can treasure if both will be playing in one uniform and share talents inside the court. With the look of LeBron's

shape. He is still capable of playing for more than 2-years unless major injuries will happen before that, but if there's nothing as we know him

playing, he is good at taking good care of his health, so the chance is really possible.

That is if Bronny will fall into the Lakers hand if he'll get drafted by next year, but the Lebron and the management knows that there's a just a little probability that they could host the father and son wearing their jersey. In fact, Lebron won't have a hard time transferring to any other team in the league as any team in the NBA will be much happy to get Lebron and Bronny in their franchise and be part of the first time in history that there will be a father and son playing together professionally.

Bronny to the NBA is no sure fire thing.  He is a fringe top 50 player in high-school, and tons of high school prospects can't handle the next level.  If I had to bet I'd say bronny doesn't make it.  Honestly his younger son will probably end up better than bronny.  Bigger kid and frame then bronny already.
2384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How would you prefer your casino reward? on: August 24, 2022, 08:01:33 PM
Quick question, on your first visit to a casino to play slots, you were offered a bonus reward as incentive for visiting, if you are given the option to either receive your rewards in form of free spins for you to try out your luck and maybe win more, or direct cash reward, which will you choose?

Cash always.  So long as you don't need to bet x amount of dollars before you can pull it out.  Otherwise I'd take the spins, again with the idea of if you win you can immediately withdraw.  Goal is to get free money out if at all possible.
2385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 22, 2022, 11:31:05 PM
For me, it is surely exciting and interesting just by watching every fight you don't really know what may happen, and this fight is a great example, Leon Edwards mostly needed a KO/TKO to win the fight because Usman dominated the score cards, so out of something he created that kick that devastated Usman's brain to react and to fall down the canvass thinking what has happened, he was really shocked at the same didn't expect that Leon Edwards can pull something like that, for a rematch Leon Edwards needs to find another way in winning against Usman, or just trained himself defend on those takedowns,
Leon Edwards showed his comeback in the fifth round after Usman took control of the scorecard dominance from the previous few rounds, I almost celebrated Usman's victory in the fifth round but who knows if 60 seconds could have changed the world, Leon Edwards threw his deadly kick at Usman's head until he knocked him down and the referee also stopped the fight for Leon Edwards with a TKO victory. The match was incredible even though Usman failed to defend the title, so congratulations to Leon Edwards on an incredible win in UFC title fight history.

It's going to make for one heck of a good ratch.  Did not lay into the fight because the value wasn't there and thank God I didn't.  I never saw that happening, but that's the best part of ufc. One kick/punch/hold is all it takes to change the match in an instant.
2386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 22, 2022, 11:28:52 PM
One more season with Russell Westbrook and let's see if his inconsistency last season will be changed. Actually, he won't have to put great numbers per game as long as he is consistent in providing good support for the team. In fairness to him, he can play the entire season without even experiencing a minor injury. Still athletic as always and not injury prone. He just needs to find a way to become his former self where he is draining shots consecutibely and has the ability to slash the paint to put up a score + foul.
I don't think he will last a full season with the Lakers if he plays the way he play last season. I know that the blame should not be put on Westbrook's shoulder, but there was a huge expectations from him specially wih how the play with the Wizards the previous season.

On that matter, we can't really conclude right away what will happen to Westbrook's performance next season.

For me, just give this guy a chance. We can refrain from saying negative speculations for now.
And one more thing, we should not put expectations from him as it will just result in disappointment.

Lakers fans should now be used to doing that.

Wierd how in one year the narrative turns on Westbrook.  I know it's a lot of pity stats but he was a one man wrecking ball when he was on okc.  Maybe it was just an off year.  Dude is a competitor so I wouldn't be surprised if he trained hard this summer and comes out different next year.
2387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 22, 2022, 10:46:32 PM
Being the best player would really require balance stats for defense and offense. No doubt that Steph really has changed the shooting since he stepped up.

AFAIK, he's the one that I've seen that's really good in those threes and he has mastered it with his entire career. I guess on players like him, he don't have choice but only to master offense and let his teammates do the rest for defense.

I agree about him as the best shooter.

Yes, best shooter there is no debate about that, he really revolutionize the game with his shooting, going further and further away and even at the logo or 50 feet and beyond. For the defense argument, I somewhat agree but then again, we will go back to the eras. I'm not saying that this era or at least the last decade of the NBA didn't focus on defense. But with coaches like Phil Jackson,  Jerry Sloane retiring, and then we have coaches like Mike D'Antoni employing a run and gun, you need to score in less than 10 seconds or less,
He definitely made shooting like a killing stats for himself and that's why other players are improving their shooting stats because of him. While we know that the other good players like LBJ, he's got a balance stats for both defense and offense.

and playing without true center, the game has chance a lot that maybe the argument for Curry was the best player right now holds true as per Shaq.
Well, it may differ from each perspective and idea per individual and if Shaq tells that, there's a basis on it. While for the other players, they can't accept the fact that the guy plays well and can hold titles like the best player.

But, it's going to be a long argument per se about such titles for Steph.

Current "best player" and all time best player will always be up for debate with no solution to come to an agreement.  It's a round and round conversation that never ends.  I like to think of players in tiers, with no distinction between them.  Easier done like that.

The majority of investors and traders are increasingly understanding crypto fundamentals before investing, is there any crypto that moves itself according to its fundamentals both now and in the future?
Durant.

For now no.  If bitcoin bulls so does the market and if bitcoin tanks so does everything else.  There is so much riding on the /btc pairings that it can't be decoupled for the most part.
2389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 22, 2022, 07:09:12 PM
If you are trying to rebuild, it is the best way forward, I guess. Just look at the teams that rebuild from the scratch. Golden State was successful in building a dynasty team from draft picks and some notable trades. Celtics is also on the verge of doing it. They have built around Tatum and Brown, their own picks. They are successful enough to reach the Finals last season. And I do not think that that is their peak. We can still expect more from Tatum, Brown, and company to achieve more. Also, it would be cheaper to acquire rookies with great potential than a high-paid star when rebuilding.
Yes, sure!
I believe this can be something viable for a certain team, because each one of them has a different way of managing them.

Celtics is a good example, Tatum, Brown are evolving a lot lately and they are getting more competitive this season
And just to add to those lists of teams that started from scratch, Memphis Grizzlies with Ja Morant, Dallas Mavericks with Luka Doncic.
Denver Nuggets did the same with the Joker.
All they need to do is compose a set of roleplayers that would help these guys. Not just in offense and defense but also mentally. That's why they are also adding some veterans to rosters to fill that gap.

Oh, and speaking of Grizzlies.

No progress has been made toward a deal for Durant, but there's been no shortage of interested teams in the future Hall of Famer, and that now includes the Memphis Grizzlies.
Quote
If Durant got traded, the thinking was that the need for Irving on a team that couldn't contend for a championship would be pointless.

However, Shams Charania reports the Nets have informed teams around the league that they plan on keeping Irving for the 2022-23 season.
I am intrigued what the Grizzlies are offering.

Yeah I read the same thing.  Memphis would be stupid to break up anyone of Desmond Bano or jaren Jackson.  Obviously ja is off the trade block. But those 3 are gonna be great together if they can keep em all.  A mix of players and draft picks would be crazy to have Duran on that team.  I'd think they would be the odds on favorite next year if they can keep theor core in tact and get durant.
2390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 22, 2022, 01:06:25 AM
Also, it would be cheaper to acquire rookies with great potential than a high-paid star when rebuilding.

Out of 30 teams, it's only about 1-2 teams that are successful in rebuilding with only young guys.

Teams should not just focus on just to wait for promising rookies.

If there is a team that affords to sign a player with a good caliber, risking some $$$ can be considered as long as that's not the only plan of that team but instead will do their best to provide quality teammates on that main player they aggressively signed.

Trading away a bunch of young players and 6 or 7 1st round picks will completely hamstring the Knicks going forward.  Jazz want young players too.  Nba is about bench strength too and the Knicks would be stripped of their youth bench as well as the ability to trade a pick or 2 all the way through 2029.  This would be the death trade for them.  Donovan isn't worth theor next 8 years of future, he isn't moving the needle that much.  It ain't happening Leon rose knows that too.
2391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin (DOGE) Pump Once Again Indicates Collapse of Crypto Market ! on: August 21, 2022, 09:23:10 PM
The pump of memecoins like DOGE or SHIB a couple of days ago was like another funny phenomenon in the stagnating crypto market. But now it seems to be no time for jokes. The fact is that this event once again marked the fall of the crypto market, and it seems that now it can be considered a full-fledged regularity.

Read full details on U.Today
https://u.today/dogecoin-doge-pump-once-again-indicates-collapse-of-crypto-market

Meme coins are useless.  I take no sign from memecoin pumps or dumps.   The peoe who actually rely on meme coins for profit or determine market stability and or influence with meme coin moves deserve to lose theor money.  It was a fad that's all.  In the end 99% of them will forever be forgotten.
2392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins is a good way to keep and save money or not? on: August 21, 2022, 09:21:06 PM
What do you think about stablecoins, some scandals around them and their future? It is interesting to hear the opinion of the members of bitcointalk

I mean in terms of moving into stable coins to preserve capital it works in countries where taxable events only occur when you go from crypto to fiat, therefore going into stable coins relieves you of that.  Otherwise I'd rather go into fiat than stablecoins.
2393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online poker rounds on: August 21, 2022, 09:19:30 PM
Even though I have been around the gambling arena for a while now, I still can't differentiate between an ordinary poker player and a tournament poker player even though I know there are differences between both of them and what makes the difference between online crypto poker and physical poker rounds.

Cash players vs tourny players or the way you play is much different.  In tourny play you are almost playing to stay alive.  In cash games ypu can easily go all in much more because if you have good odds but lose ypu can just buy back in.  I find that touny play is much more safe or slow than cash games.

4.  wheelz1200     Eli-2 Brady-0  << Guess

Hahahaha!  I'd say that's a pretty good guess.

morvillz7z was Taco Corp last year, so I'd say that's a good guess too.

Saylor Jerkers, I have no clue who's (or what) this is, so if your not on the list or its incorrect let me know.

Is there someone among us who thinks Michael Saylor is not a jerkoff?

Show of hands, please...

Is that the draft order?  And yep that's muh squad Eli 2 vs Brady 0.  Suck it Brady.  He forever has to go down as the best quarterback ever but got punked anytime he seen the giants in the superbowl lol.
2395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 21, 2022, 09:14:40 PM
All this talk about 6/7 first round picks PLUS some of the Knicks young players is laughable.  Leon rose is probably laughing all day at this.  Q grimes, quickley, rj, cam Reddish, IQ, and some combination of those players and that amount of first round picks for Donovan is laughable.  Donovan is nice but what strip your entire youth and future for possibly a 4 spot in the eastern division lol.  Nah f that.
2396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 19, 2022, 10:40:13 PM
Yeah that's true, he played 74 games with 27 ppg, 14 rebounds and 8 assists per game as a center. In a league where guards and wings became a lot more important, that dude realized that he has to play in a different type of way to help his teammates because it is not the big guys league anymore to just post up and try to score with that moves, he could pass and score a lot more efficiently by being a Point Center and he became that.

I think Embiid is a bit more closer to old ones but a lot quicker but he didn't play as consistently. The league definitely feels a lot better right now thanks to these big guys and we can watch them play like MVP players again.

Yep, and without Jamal Murray and Porter, he was really showing us what a true center and then some could be. Putting up good numbers, probably in the top 5 of all statistical categories. But his impact could be that not big this season if both Murray and Porter are going to play. But still for sure the main goal of the team is to reach the finals in the West with the healthy big 3 of the Nuggets and not the individual awards that Jokic is gong to win.

I think it's the opposite.  I think his impact could be even bigger with Jamal back running the point.  Teams were focused in on jokic with mp and Jamal out, now they can't.  He might not get as high as numbers as he's had.  But his actual impact can only get better with better players on the floor with him.
2397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 19, 2022, 06:24:28 PM
In this upcoming season, Lebron will try to beat Kareem in the top in scoring and with his average PPG last season which is around 30+, he can do it this season. Like what happened when Curry beat Ray Allen's record of most 3pt shots in career, I'm pretty sure that Kareem will be there when Lebron surpass his record and that will be one of the greatest memories for Lebron and for the fans as well.

I guess LeBron can break Kareem's record this upcoming season anyway, as he only needs to score 1,326 points to break it. So if LeBron can score an average of 30 points per game and doesn't miss any games due to injury, he will be able to break that record by the 44th game of the upcoming season. In that case, it will happen on January 16 during the home game against the Rockets.

Yeah so long as he doesn't get injured bad he is gonna snap the record but he isn't going to be averaging 30 points a game.  Lebron is good but he will probably be in the 23-25 points a game.  Especially if AD is healthy, the offense should run through AD.  And then Westbrook needs his shots too.  I d say it will be much later in the year because he is going to be rested a lot more to preserve his body as well.  Can see him sitting on one of the games on their back to back nights.
2398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fact about Shiba on: August 19, 2022, 06:19:52 PM
Shiba is the perfect token I really like it because of its past pumping. I think it is the first token which gives big profit everyone. this is also a fact Shiba gives big profit to many peoples

So your take is that shiba made people money in the past so it should make people money in the future?  Do you know how many things are wrong with that logic.  You missed the pump.  99.99% of alts have one pump then die off and new coins pump next.
2399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jimmy Garoppolo reportedly ignored coaches after getting his big contract on: August 19, 2022, 03:58:02 PM
Interesting stores about Jimmy G.  I however don’t think that it will have any effect on his trade market. They will of course keep him as one of their players on the 53 man roster, as sooner or later someone is going to need his services and they will get a sold pay day in return (maybe a few picks, not sure they’ll get more than a 2/3rd rounder).

& thank you, that time from will work for me. Two drafts back to back, I dig it.

Seattle would be a real good fit for him, Lock and Geno are both garbage.

Agreed. I know there are fans of the 49ers in this thread that do not want Jimmy G to be traded to another team which is also in the NFC west division, however, for an exciting season it would certainly be a good trade because of the reason you mentioned hehe.
Hopefully.

No way San Fran trades him within the division.  It's rare to have any trades within the same division let alone a competent quarterback who would be circling those games on his calender every year.  Would be fun to watch just can't see it happening.  I can see Cleveland trying to maybe pull something off since Watson is pretty much out for the first 3 quarters of the season.
2400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Polygon (MATIC) to $20? on: August 19, 2022, 03:55:09 PM
Polygon does have a technology that is not inferior to eth and Bsc.  Both in terms of speed when making transactions or also the small costs incurred when making transactions. But when it comes to price, Polygon will find it difficult to break the $20 level for the next year for me.Because just yesterday when btc experienced a halving, Polygon was only able to break through at the $3 level. Moreover, the conditions prices of all coins are less friendly, making it difficult to break through at $20 for the next year.

What are you talking about?  Bitcoin did not have a halving event yesterday nor did polygon get anywhere near $3.  Do you mean back in 2020 or something?  The next bitcoin halving isn't until around May of 2024.  At that point I can see polygon around $3 again..hopefully.
