I wouldn't put much stock in that yahoo report card business.  I came in third place, but I don't think I had a great draft.  I wanted to focus on Running Backs, but I had to compromise because the ones I wanted were already gone.  Taking Dalvin Cook with my first pick was okay, but I was really hoping Derik Henry would slip to my slot, and South Park snagged Nick Chubb right before my second pick.  I also think I waited too long to pick a Tight End.

I am happy with my QB selections, and I did snag Deboo in the third round.  I was planning on going for another Running Back, but taking Deebo was worth it.  It ended up making my other WR selections take a back seat to getting another decent RB, so my remaining WRs are compromises.  What can you do.

The whole reset screwd me up.  I was in the lobby got booted and it started before my screen refreshed.  My first 2 picks were auto picks  .  Next we need to make sure all of this is straightened out first with no last minute  mods and different start times.  Not anyone's fault but my own I didn't refresh just kept it on the lobby screen with the little spinny circle.  Good luck this season gents! 

Damn, that sucks dude.  Sorry you had that trouble.  You were actually the one I worried about the most for going after my preferences, and then I thought that your fist pick was rather odd.

I got my "Broncos Country, Let's Ride!" stack of Wilson and Sutton, really happy about that. I could have landed Javonte Williams as well at 3.3, but opted out for M. Andrews, hope i don't regret this. I like my WR corp a lot, but i'm super thin on running backs...and that was so not the plan, not sure i can withstand any sort of injuries along the way. What else mmm, surprised there was no interest in Hopkins and Gallup, i got both 11.3 and 15.3.  In most mock drafts that i did prior to our draft i've seen both go around 7-10th round. The bad part is Hopkins can't be added to IR, and Gallup's designation was recently changed from PUP to Q, so also not IR eligible...a slight headache especially since i didn't draft a kicker and defense.

Now about the draft, yahoo is really throwing dirt at me, not only I am ranked at the lowest but I also have the most difficult schedule, so it seems another difficult season for the Q/Cows is coming.

Like what DireWolfM14 said above, every website has its own power rankings and stuff, Fantasy Pros has ranked you third based on their expert consensus rankings.

Yeah all good.  I would have taken Ekler in the 4th spot.  In a full ppr league I'd be more than happy with Jefferson in the 4 hole and ceedee lamb.  In the second I would have taken Kamara.  Then deebo in the 3rd.  I came in on the 3rd round snake with 2 wr already auto drafted so I had to lean in on running backs hard.  Deebo is going to be an absolute monster this year.  Him and trey Lance are gonna have a field day out in the west this year.  

I'm happy with my late round value picks and think I can still compete.  As always a couple waiver wire snags goes a long way.  And injury luck.  Every year half of the first round picks end up getting hurt so it's luck too hoping your guys stay healthy.  Glad it's 10 teams this year, should make for more fun!

Just finished draft on another 12 man league and I gotta say pick 2 Sucked, pick one you get LT with 2 you got 6 guys pretty even and then wait 20 picks to go again.

Haven't had the time yet to do a AAR like southpark did but gonna try in the next few days.

Can't wait till Thursday!

12 team is tricky.  Depth on your team is super hard to get.  Where ever you are weak you need to watch that waiver it's crucial in a 12 team league.  No way to be strong in all positions.  Gets more challeging/fun as the amount of teams increase.  Imagine a 14 team league lol.

Agreed. I have a C but according to the projections for the first week I am higher than most of the league except Hhampuz. However, I am expecting my points to be lower than the projection because of Lamar. He might be having problems with the Ravens and it appears that he is not happy with his team. Tyreek Hill is also a question mark with the Dolphins. I should have chosen Ceedee Lamb.

Yeah the report card has zero bearing on anything. Normally if you draft “outside the box” meaning you’re not just picking who’s next on their draft list, then you’ll tend to get a lower grade. Normally my best teams are ones that have gotten a C or D grade (I think I’ve gotten a D grade). I honestly don’t like getting a good grade. So getting a B in this draft I’m kinda upset about lol.

Can’t wait for Thursday, just four more days to NFL Kickoff !

Oh yeah it’s a great opening game. I’m currently trying to decide how to bet it. I would have to disagree that the Bills are better than the Rams, I mean the Rams did just win a Super Bowl. That said I could see an argument for either team. As you mentioned the Rams have home field advantage which is pretty big so I think I’m leaning their way at getting the +2.5.

I might place a bet just for fun, but I think I'll wait until the game is underway.  It's so hard to make accurate predictions for opening weekend, but it is fun.  As for whether the Ram or Bills are the better team, I would just say that the Rams aren't quite the same team that won the Super Bowl last year.  They do have some of their main talent back, but it's still left to be seen how well they do this year.  It's also worth noting that even though they won the super bowl last year, they lost twice to a Niners team that wasn't all that great either.  The Rams had a good run when it counted the most, that's for sure.

I put a small bet on Rams ML and will likely place a bigger bet at Rams +2.5.

Of course anything can happen, and often does... That's one of the beautiful things about the NFL, even though it makes betting on this sport particularly difficult.

This might be where I have made my biggest mistake during the draft. Lamar Jackson as my quarterback. He is not my first choice. My first choice is the new MVP Josh Allen, second choice Patrick Mahomes then my third choice is Justin Herbert. Lamar was my fourth choice, however, I was uncertain. This news makes my uncertainty on him quite certain hehehe. Is the waiver wire open and available already?



Lamar Jackson's contract situation has been dragged out beyond the point of discomfort, but it might finally be heading toward a resolution.

Jackson told reporters on Wednesday he and the Ravens are still discussing extension terms, and he set a deal-making deadline for Friday. Jackson also pleaded ignorance when it came to how close he was to coming to an agreement.

"I have no clue," he said, via the Washington Post. "You have to ask the guy who I'm talking to."

I agree when it comes to Lamar Jackson. He’s a really good player but when it comes to actual best quarterbacks. I’ve probably got close to 10 guys that I feel are better in real life. Also, I did draft him in one of my leagues but
I made sure to draft Stafford as a solid backup. I think without Marquis Brown he’s going to have a bit of trouble with the offense. I love Rashad Bateman this year and I know they drafted a WR (I believe) and Andrews is a very good TE, but having a speedster like Brown for his long shots is going to be sorely missed.

Put a few shekels down on the Rams at +2.5 …will probably lose it but hey makes the game more exciting.

Anyways, super excited for tonight! My gut feeling is Bills win in a close one, though having a first-time offensive coordinator is slightly worrying, you just don't know how much new stuff there will be and what will they run...on the other hand, Sean McVay is 5-0 in week 1 matchups, so those backing up the LA team should feel somewhat confident. To kick off my NFL prop season i've Kupp Anytime TD scorer / Singletary 1+ receptions...wish me luck.

It appears Akers might only be the introduction to my fantasy team. I am speculating that Tyreek Hill is next to have no or lower than projected points. Lamar next after Hill. I might trade them for a bag of peanuts by week 5.

I didn't get the time to do a draft recap but one of the things that made me shout at the screen is when you grabbed G. Davis right before me !!!

Its a good idea to sit guys your not sure of that have either moved into another scheme or come off a serious injury until you can gauge their usuage.

A lot of teams will restrict a players touches when coming back from injuries and players that go to new teams may not get the full workload for a variety of reasons.

For example Josh Gordon popped around to alot of teams and never had any workload because he was too stupid to learn the playbooks.


Case in point on my team I am sitting Julio, JujJu and Bobby Trees until I see their workload.  But I fully expect W00ds to come out on all cylinders.

Speaking of W00ds, I called LA would be screwed without him. No-one gave him the credit he deserved for that teams success and now the idiots are all scratching their heads after this disaster.

This is why I did not draft one Ram (I would have grabbed Kupp in the third though, he is immune with stafford pineing on him continuously).


Oh and the Injury curse has hit me already, KITTLE out on all my teams before week 1 !
To a lesser extent Lazard injured in practice as well. but he was a gamble anyway that I didn't have alot of faith in.
