241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining earnings are terrible, I'm shutting down for a while on: February 23, 2018, 05:02:53 PM
How come profitability is this low now?  Ever since the "crash" in bitcoin price, altcoin mining has been very unprofitable. Is there a simple explanation for this that i cannot figure out? Ive been thinking about it alot but cannot get my head around it.
Hmmm, let's see...everyone and their brother, sister, mother and father are mining now, so difficulty goes up and up at the same time asset prices go down. That's pretty simple math really. BTW, expect it to get worse. Much much worse. Until all the fast cash johnny come lately's get flushed off the game board, there will be further pain.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Litecoin Cash Multipools new pool 1% fee on: February 23, 2018, 04:55:07 PM
So far I have had a very good experience with this pool and wallet. Is YoBit the only exchange that I can trade the LCC on? Is Yobit a legitimate exchange? I have never used it but I see a LOT of bad posts regarding their reputation.
243  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Shutting down mining farm / selling all miners on: February 23, 2018, 03:57:17 PM
No one with any brains is sending you payment in advance with "shipping after payment". You're either not very savvy or just a scammer. Commit to escrow, proof of ownership and transparency or beat it. People on this forum are sick and tired of these half baked bullshit schemes.
244  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer S9 (NEW) x 5 for sale on: February 23, 2018, 02:18:45 PM
$5X1800 for all 5
That's a damn good bid. You're braver than I.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin Cash Fork (is Sha-256) and old ASIC revival, questioning if worth it? on: February 23, 2018, 02:15:30 PM
I made 15 LCC in last 24 hours with 1 S9. LCC is $5.00 USD. Yeah....you're right...."not worth it" at all!! LMAO!!
246  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer S9 (NEW) x 5 for sale on: February 23, 2018, 03:37:26 AM
That is true. Again, I'm open to reasonable offers and these are already in the US (if you are located in the US) and cleared through customs.
You won't be happy but they can be bought with vigilance for $1,500.00 per WITH a PSU.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin Cash Fork (is Sha-256) and old ASIC revival, questioning if worth it? on: February 23, 2018, 03:34:16 AM
Current=174 PH/s. Not too shabby for a "scam". Unfortunately, you have to sync the whole LTC block chain to activate your wallet. 5 years of block chain history. Takes a while....
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin Cash Fork (is Sha-256) and old ASIC revival, questioning if worth it? on: February 22, 2018, 04:51:33 AM

Someone pointed a T9 at LCC and got like 2 LCC in 24 hours...so NOPE ...them KNC 550gh ASIC sha-256 miners from 2013 and at 750 watts ..sure are not worth putting up...

if something changes let me know...but not looking worth it ...(or much better with a T9) ...so less work for me....I have 440 LTC I will now ponder my naval and my 4,400 LCC hoard

(soon to be worth in total...$23.22 usd...if I am any judge of coin) Smiley

brad

24 Hours with an S9 pointed to LCC. Earned 8 LCC at $5.25. It's definitely worth it. Problem is the only exchange listing it now is YoBit. I don't trust them with anything. So I'll hold the coins until some more trustworthy exchange pick it up.

But that's the thing, will exchanges even trust LCC since it has nothing to do with original LTC?
I don't think they are as concerned with the "trust" as they are with the volume. Once, "if" and "when" the LCC volume justifies it, they will list it. It's denominated in BTC so the transactions it can create through converting can become lucrative. It's very early on. Time will tell. For me my other S9's are earning around $12.00 p/d and the LCC S9 is at about $50.00. I think it's worth a try. Right now the daily trading volume is well above what most people seemed to expect. Keep ya posted. If anyone has anything good to say about YoBit, I'd love to hear it. Because so far all I've heard is that they are thieves and scammers.

I pointed an S9 at it today. We’ll see how it goes...
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin Cash Fork (is Sha-256) and old ASIC revival, questioning if worth it? on: February 19, 2018, 02:15:52 PM

Anyone have any idea if drag'ing out the Swedish ASIC KNCminer 550gh sha-256  Jupiter is worth doing to mine Litecoin Cash on Feb 19th launch?

it will fork then, but will fork to sha-256...so unclear with change of protocol if difficulty will start from the floor again?

no idea or guess on this is even worth it...but than again after GARLICOIN last week...all things are possible (till they fork again) Smiley

let me know what folk think...worse that happens I break even on firing the old knc jupiters up for heat this winter and nostalgia for a few days/weeks for fun

and funny (likely worthless) litecoin cash FORK money

thoughts?

brad

pile in here...this may not make any sense, but looking for an excuse to put them back up and heat the basement, (if this all comes to naught)

also, any other equipment of a  Sha-256 nature, planning on piling on this? or just too silly?
....and where can we mine it?
252  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 11 Bitmain Antminer S9 13.5TH, Seattle/cash on: February 13, 2018, 02:50:52 PM
Ben, you still haven't gotten any miners yet?  You were trolling some time ago, and seem to still be doing the same.

Why don't you let OP sell in peace.  Give your offer and let that be your voice.  Maybe if OP wants to unload quick you'll get some devices at half of Bitmain's price.  Maybe not.  You should wait for 10nm, it's probably just around the corner
I have all the miners I currently want and or need. Maybe, just maybe, one stunned moron that is going around buying these things at "TOO HIGH" prices will think twice and back away. You people just don't get it do you? Allowing these fools to sell and purchase these units at unrealistic pricing has a very negative impact on true miners. All these quick buck maggots are destructive to the community. They are free to try and rip people off, people are free to make stupid decisions and I am free to voice my opinion on both the former and the latter. Thanks for the "sage" advice. LOL.
253  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 26 x S9's 14TH/s PSU INC on: February 12, 2018, 01:29:11 PM
I'll offer 1,500 smarter to drop 2.5 - 4K just into the coin and play the market enough volatility. And with the price not looking at a decent uptrend soon, and difficulty going up.
Historically and cyclically, January thru May are the worst months for mining profits. There are 10's of 1000's of these beasts coming onto the network over the next 2-3 months. At $7.50 per day profit it will take 7-8 months to recoup that $1,500.00. By then, there will be a flood of 10nm tech flying out of Bitmain's doors. THAT's the "reality check".
254  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 26 x S9's 14TH/s PSU INC on: February 12, 2018, 01:22:44 PM
1200 is too low

4000 is too high

someone  needs a reality check.

price should be near 2k
That's what ya'll said when I told you the D3 would sell for $700.00 while people were paying $3,500 for them. 3 weeks later I bought two for $650.00 each. Oh trust me, I will buy S9's for $1,250.00.....soon.
255  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 26 x S9's 14TH/s PSU INC on: February 12, 2018, 04:29:57 AM
$1,200.00 each. That’s still 6 months to recoup cost. By then 10nm will be out. Probably still too high on my part.
256  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 5 - Antminer S9 13.5 TH/s including APW3++ $15,000 on: February 11, 2018, 02:28:52 PM
I hate to break it to you. Not only is "Ebay Pricing" completely ridiculous, but so is yours. Current S9 profit per day is $6.70. 15 months to recoup cost. Not even close. I'll pick them all up today with cash for $1,250.00 per set. That's even high.
257  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antiminer s9 14th 3500€ on: February 11, 2018, 05:37:07 AM
LOL.
258  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 11 Bitmain Antminer S9 13.5TH, Seattle/cash on: February 10, 2018, 10:15:18 PM
I was going to offer you $1,500.00 but they're not even worth that now. They only make $7.00 per day after electric so $1,200.00 maybe....
259  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Bitmain Antminer S9 13.5 (New) on: February 10, 2018, 04:03:33 PM
$1,850.00 per. Cash in hand.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: February 07, 2018, 01:38:00 AM
Guys, maybe someone knows any news or leaks, about new generation scrypt miners? From Bitmain or another product. Thanks for answer

No news.  It is wired that they are doing a fire sale with T9s and everything else they have found in a shad lol

But for script, just remember that they do not have any competition. They got the only and best performing miner on the market. If they build a stronger one, they will use it themselves first, but if they sell the better miner, they just compete with the L3+

That would not make any sense

I would not put it past Bitmain to release a more powerful and efficient Scrypt miner sometime later this year. The L3+ is making +/- $5 per day. Don't think Bitmain will be selling many units with this daily profit.
Why not?  Last bubble time ASICS we’re going for low 100s.  You have insider knowledge of how much it actually costs to produce them?  I strongly suspect their current production costs aren’t much higher.

Why? Bitmain is trying to sell the L3+ for $1536 each and deliver in March. Based on this and the current Litecoin stats, these miners will ROI in about 8 months, which we all know won't happen since the difficulty will keep increasing. It's anybody's guess where the LTC price will go. Buying a L3+ today from Bitmain is pretty much hoping that the price Litecoin will appreciate.

Given that Bitmain still has these available, most buyers realize this.
We see this cycle over and over. Experienced miners don't buy these units at the highs. It's all the new entries to the race because they saw insane daily profits. Also those scumbag resellers. Resellers and ignorant miner wanna be's bought 10's of 1000's of the S9's and L3+'s at insane prices. Before this year, I never paid more than $1500.00 for an S9 direct from Bitmain. Soon you'll see those same miners for sale at fire sale prices. It's a larger version of the D3 debacle but the same metric. I bought a D3 at $650.00 roughly 2 weeks after the last deliveries from Bitmain hit the networks.
