Haney is the challenger here mate and his debut for the 140 lbs division, that may be the reason of that odds but i do hope that Haney would not wear his running shoes so we could see the full potential of Prograis. Clinching and running, though part of the game, this would not make Haney a sellable fighter in the higher division. |

When was this rumor surfaces though? Because I remember Canelo interview before the John Ryder fight is that his goal is to fight Bivol or to rematch him at 175 lbs. So I guess that decision has change already if this latest rumor is true. It's really up to Bivol to take the bait or not. I thought Bivol will have a fight this coming December. Maybe this is just a get busy fight for him until he gets into Canelo or even Beterbiev. But if Canelo is chasing greatness then it should be at Light-HW because that is where they first fought. If it is 168 lbs then that is obviously Canelo's territory. Canelo will not win if it fight is on the 175 pound division, at least for and most of the users here that is why they are giving this bait to Bivol as the latter also has an ambition to be a unified champion either at 175 or 168 so probably he would take this fight. If Bivol wins this at 168 then he got his dream but if Canelo dismantle Bivol at 168 with that rehydration clause, most of won't mind him winning the fight as this is not what a true warrior in the ring wants. |

For sure no boxer is not going into the ring un-prepared specially against Garcia, you can even here what he says in the pre fight that he is ready and that he will bring Garcia with a knockout. And with that there's hype on this fight as others said, in paper he really looks scary with that knockout ratio. But the increase in weight took a toll on Duarte. From 135 lbs to 143 lbs, that is too much for a boxer IMO. That's the biggest advantage Ryan Garcia had on Duarte, i think it was the first time that the latter fights at that division which for me he need a tune-up fight, i mean fight boxers whose talent is south of his before taking big names in that division but it was done and that fight was for Garcia to look good on the ring and Oscar was successful of that. Ginebra Kings failed to cover the spread on their four consecutive games but i think this time around they will cover that thin spread.  ^^ my bet for the first game but will also bet for the second game depending on the outcome of the first but i'm more inclined to bet for the Batang Pier as Fajardo's absence has a big impact on the team. You might have bet early on the Ginebra San Miguel as they will not play today but tomorrow. We only have two games today, 1s game - NLEX vs ROS (Currently playing now) 2nd game - SMB vs Northport. I haven't made a decision yet regarding the 2nd game, but on the first game I had over 216.5 since I believe NLEX will shoot better as they badly need a win here. 2 straight losses with the new import, they need to stop that. Can the Pacers complete the treble with the final win against Lakers ? I mean they've defeated two powerhouses from the East in consecutive games Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks. Now, the final hurdle would be Lakers and Lebron, can the Indiana Pacers go all way ??
I'm more inclined that the Lakers would be the champion of this in-season tournament as they are a more experienced team than the Pacers though both have high morale right now but Lebron is a different beast when there is something on the line for him. To all Filipino fans out here, just a heads up that Mark Magsayo will be fighting this weekend against Isaac Avelar of Mexico. This will be a debut fight for Mark Magsayo on the 130-lbs division. As of now, no bookies have covered this fight but i think odds will be out two or one day before the fight as usual. Yes, and it seems like Converge are enjoying their losing streak. Those who bet on Converge hoping they'll win still has a chance to win back the losses or at least end the night with a win. As for the coming game, I have the Blackwater +11.5, the odds is 2.09, I took an extra 9%.. also hoping that Magnolia will slow down a bit, and give this game to Blackwater, or least let them cover. I'm going nuts as well Blackwater ML at 6.30. Let's try our luck here. The first three quarters do look good; Blackwater is still competing as they are only down by 5 points going into the 4th quarter. However, once they are in the 4th quarter, the offense of Blackwater disappeared as they were bothered by the pressure defense of Magnolia. This resulted in a lopsided win by Magnolia, outscoring Blackwater 19-35 in the 4th quarter alone. Sorry, mate, you lost both the ML and the handicap. Not yet time for the Magnolia Hotshots to lose a game. Blackwater couldn't keep up the pace of the Hotshots in the final quarter as they only scored 19 points while Magnolia has 35 in the quarter alone. Once again, their import, Tyler Bey has a monstrous game, tallying 26 points while grabbing 22 rebounds. Though too early to discuss as of now but i think Tyler Bey is the frontrunner as the best import in this conference for sure with the way how he lead his team to victories. RHJ might be a contender but with his team struggling as they are undermanned at the moment, that might keep him at bay on the second place. |

Unfortunately, I got a L on this game, I thought that the Knicks will offer resistance in this game and make it close at least. But it was a dominant win by the hometown them. Giannis really play hard in this game as they don't want to be eliminate so with this big win, they move already.

Same here, i thought that the Knicks would make that a close game but they were blown out by the Bucks big time. Those 3's did the damage for the Bucks as they made 23/38 while the Knicks only managed to get 7/23, great difference on that department. Though Randle and Brunson have a big night for the Knicks but that was not enough as both Giannis and Lillard also have an amazing night scoring 35 and 28 respectively.  |

Because PBA management doesn't want this two big companies to pull out in their league since if that gonna happen then for sure this will be the end of PBA. That's why the trade will always go in favor with their teams and any other opposing team like those independent one cannot do anything since they are more dominant than them.
I also got bored watching PBA at the moment especially when watching those independent teams playing since we don't feel any excitement with them anymore. And I'm sure to many people also got bored because they already know which team will go to finals, that's why we see a huge decline for their viewership especially on live games. If they don't change on how they manage the league for sure people will lose interest more with them.
It is what it is, I mean, PBA would not change soon because those who control the league have a deep pocket that they get whatever they want, and also money is the reason why this PBA still exists as they can afford to pay high caliber players on how much they want. I don't with the other but personally i'm not bored watching the PBA as i'm more interested on the betting side of it hehe. Not many exciting games but we have a good first game as Converge will try their luck again to break their 5 losing streak. They're up against the Northport which I think not really a big threat since this team is just an average team, so I would personally bet on Converge as I'm also trying my luck.
As for the betting odds, Converge is +2.5, and it's 211.5 for the total. My pick this game would be ML for Converge and going under on 211.5
Maybe I'll also bet on the next game if Converge would win.
For me that's a good bet kabayan and would do the same as Converge will do its best to at least win one before Christmas. BTW, they will be bringing in a new import replacing Vonanovich so this will be a 50-50 game as NorthPort has not yet fully scouted this import, don't know yet his strenghts and weaknesses. ^^ And that's why we said that this is a tune up or cherry pick fight for Ryan Garcia as we all know that Duarte can't last full 12 rounds against him. So very good choice for Oscar, to boost Ryan Garcia's confidence with this "great win" from him. And that's what really happen here, Duarte charging as that what his style and Ryan with his improved movement is just waiting to counter him all night.
Although he admit that he did worst impression of the shoulder roll and Derrick James didn't train him to do that. It just come to him maybe from watching other boxers from James stable doing that, hehehe.
That shoulder roll looks awkward for me but if he can improve that aspect of his defense then provably Ryan Garcia will be hard to hit as he also have that power punch to counter whenever his opponent missed. That win was really a morale booster for him, though not so impressive but a win is still a win and for me he need two or more tune-up fight before facing the big boys of this division. Next year will be this division will be one of the hottest I believed, specially on the outcome of the Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney fight. As we might see money fights here with Haney, Lopez and Garcia potentially.
True, this division will be second to the heavyweight division as there are a lot of sellable names that could face each other. After Prograis vs Haney, and if the latter wins, who knows that Lopez vs Haney will materialize, that fight will be an acid test to Haney's career. |
