241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Expedia Accepts Bitcoin on: June 16, 2014, 12:05:48 AM
a very good move by expedia.

But how they handle refunds etc wrt price change
Like every other merchant that currently accepts BTC. If the item you bought is eligible for a refund, then you will get your full BTC back.
Really?  There is enough misinformation around all things bitcoin in the media, why would you add to it in the forum?  Too much work to actually research but too full of yourself to not answer when you don't know?
Quote
TV: So what happens if I were to cancel a hotel reservation that was purchased using bitcoin? Would I still be able to receive a refund?

MG: Of course! Plans change all the time these days and you shouldn’t have to be locked into a hotel reservation just because you paid for it using bitcoin. If a customer decided to cancel a hotel room paid for in bitcoin, she would receive a refund in bitcoin, provided the booking was for a refundable room. The refund would be based on the amount (in U.S. dollars) that was paid for a room, and Coinbase would refund the customer that amount based on the current bitcoin exchange rate. Depending on the bitcoin market place, the amount of bitcoin received in a refund could be higher or lower than what was initially paid, but the dollar amount reimbursed would remain the same. It’s quite similar to other refunds you’d receive from Expedia.com.

ETA:  Wow, and your personal text is "Knowledge is power"  Just wow...

You are correct, my mistake. I made an assumption without researching it.

I had 0.003 on 2-0 Sad

same except I bet for 3-0.

Very good match, I underestimated Bosnia. They will get out of this group.

Finally Messi, thank you!

Wonder why messi's international play isn't at the same level as club. Seems to disappear

Commentator mentioned the playstyle of the national team is very different from his club. All of the players on national teams spend 90% of their time playing in their clubs so it is difficult for them to adjust to the national team. And the Bosnia defenders are doing a great job shutting him down Smiley

Great opening for Benzema and entire French team!

Waiting to see how's Argentina gonna play. Heard their defense isn't that good.

Defense won't matter so much when you have this guy on your team.

I'm expecting a 3:0.

These Honduras players really need to cool down. Pushing the French player after whistle was called. Wouldn't be surprised to see another red soon...

This match has so much drama. Now the two coaches are arguing. That was definitely a goal though, that new goal-line camera thing proved it.

Watching 24 new series I think series 9 episode 7 was a bit of a disappointment  Undecided

I'm so behind on 24 that I never will be able to get caught up yet.

The seasons in 24 are not very seriously connected so you won't miss much if you go straight to 9. The only thing that really gets lost is the connections between the key characters, and Jack's background history with the US government and other groups. I went straight to 9 after only seeing the first 3 and I can follow the story just fine.

Hehe, the Russian commentators are always really funny.

And this referee is very strict. Better not argue with him if you're a player.

Go swiss
I support you

This might end up in a draw 2-2 or Swiss winning 2-1. and must tell you not good at it.
I like this 2-1 for Swiss but as Ecuador is playing I believe its going 1-1 draw because Ecuador's defence is very good right now

Yup , hoping for a 2-1 now .  Undecided

Hope there is a last min goal like always
They done this Switzerland done this goal in extra minutes and give me some good money back go go Swiss  Grin
They made some extra efforts to make my prediction true. Tongue I don't know if they had any other motivation Tongue Ecuador might have got a goal :p but that didn't happened there strikers failed converting most of the opportunities they got , some attempts looked so selfish.

Yeah there was way too much selfish play, especially Montero just hugged the ball and didn't even try to shoot. Ecuador had at least 4 good chances to make a shot on goal, instead they wasted their opportunities.

2:1 Switzerland wins. Latest goal ever, 14 seconds before added time ends. Ecuador played well, but they wasted so many chances near the Swiss net. Should have just shot on goal instead of trying to outplay defenders.

Nope, Swiss are ranked 6th in the world right now by Fifa, Ecuador is 26th. And the betting odds are in favor of the Swiss.

GOAL Ecuador!
That doesn't really matter if you ask me. Ecuador might win or the result might end up 1-1.

That is why I bet my money on Ecuador Smiley

My predictions for today's match:

Switzerland vs Ecuador: Most of the people here are hoping for an Ecuadorian win. But I feel otherwise. Either the Swiss will win, or the match will be drawn.

France vs Honduras: Here also, I feel that an upset is in the cards. Who knows? Honduras might be able to beat the Goliath.  Grin

Argentina vs BiH: Huge victory for Argentina. Most probably 5-1, or 6-1.

Agreed, France hasn't been doing very well lately. Maybe they improved though?

Argentina will def. win. They are on fire.

Swiss are favored, but Ecuador could upset them.

Swiss need to win for me to win my bet so dont tell otherwise Cheesy . LOL .

And i hope Argentina is on fire coz i placed bet on that game to be over 2.5 goals.

After what happened to Uruguay and Spain, I like to bet on underdogs Smiley

Go Ecuador! They are the underdog in this match but I want the South American teams to show their power in this world cup.

I fell asleep and missed the entire game Sad. Just woke up to another £265 in my account though haha. I'm on a roll! Gonna withdraw £200 and replay the rest. Total winnings so far: £825  Grin.

Judging by the fact that you're betting pounds, I take it you're from the UK? Betting against your team? Cold-blooded   Cheesy Cheesy

I lost this bet the game ended
2-1 For Italy over England
That said it was a good match and I look forward to the Japan Cote game
My bet is on Japan goal wise not sure but it will be a good game

Was very close to 4 goals being scored.

Japan - Ivory Coast is going to be unpredictable. Japan is favored, but we saw what happened to Uruguay vs. Costa Rica and they were also heavily favored to win.

Great football, England was good but not good enough.

And I won both my bets I'm a happy man  Grin
