242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: FLYCOIN ANN : Announcing our one of a kind "Masternode system" called Flynode!!! on: November 05, 2016, 12:34:08 PM
The wallet is under maintenance for about a week. What s up with that?

Ive sent 2 messages to yobit about this, and their response is, we have to wait. So, it might be time to start looking for another exchange.

Vegas

Flycoin is already on bleutrade...

Agreed, and so we will use them. We should start to consider another popular exchange. Would Bittrex help or hurt us?

Bittrex should be the only one we are on to be taken seriously and maybe even Poloniex.  However we might not have enough liquidity to stay on those exchanges.

I read many pages and I see that sp just uses people. He uses open source mining softwares for selling. After he sold them he didn't give update releases. Because of this he didn't give answer to nikolaj's questions. He used here just for his ego and for his show. If you have great expectations from him read back pages.

All my private kernels have updates with speed improvements. In spreadcoin I have 10 releases. It took 1.5 year from release 9 to release 9+. (Pascal) LBRY sp-mod have 3 updates. Release #4 is delayed becuse somebody is selling my work to people like rednow.

I paid for SP9 and never received 9+, as I paid for SPmod LBRY and never received the SP4 that you've referred a lot of times for "your farm". It's pretty clear that you're abusing of donators, promoting versions of your kernels that you never release.

I'm totally disappointed, this is too much. The delay it seems more and excuse than anything else, you cannot blame someone and damage the ones that gave you money, in return of a product. These products, frankly speaking, were pretty underwhelming. 1.8.3 from tpruvot it's ass fast as SP3, but without a 3.3% fee (plus another % lost due bugs in your code and constant reconnections. I've even shown you them, and hadn' t any response in matter).

Blame yourself, not others.

You recieved 9+(cuda 8.0 build) spreadminer 9 is from july 2015.
Release #3 of libry was the fastest when  I released it 3rd of september. 1.8.3 came 3 weeks larer and is slower on all models except the 1070.

@SP - I am a spreadcoin donator - can you please forward me the spreadminer9+ with compile for cuda 8?  I can only reach 6500 mh/s with the latest one you sent me.

In case you missed it, Claymores Zcash is out. Looking at 50sols on a 470. Haven't found a 480.

Are people so excited about the Claymore Zcash miner because it supports Windows? My SILENTARMY Zcash miner is as fast as (if not a hair faster) than Claymore. And open source. And zero dev fee.

Maybe I should prioritize Windows support higher?

Yes please - Win10 x64

LOL - I am getting squeezed out of zcash -  Cry - just bought (12) evga 1070's and thought I would kill zcash for a while with them.  I am lucky to make $40/day at the moment and now it looks as if daily profit will continue to drop.  Shoulda, coulda, woulda gone with AMD.  I am a lover of Nvidia though.  I will be willing to donate for a better Nvidia miner if anyone wants to organize one or crowdfund.  Hell I would be happy right now with a match on the 50s/s.  I would like better but beggars can't be choosers.

As a random question, I've been mining for years and I still don't know what the monitor checkbox does on the workers page on most pools. Anyone have any idea?

Hello @bensam1231 - the monitor checkbox when checked will email you when your worker goes down.  It is a great tool if you have multiple rigs and can't have constant access to them all the time.  I love the tool!

So - does anyone have a working Windows wallet of XCN yet?  Meaning one that can sync?

Did you try downloading a chain snapshot?

Please advise how to do that?

See the last pages of the xcn official thread.

Ah ok - found it!  Thanks

251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Diamond (DMD) Evolution v 2.0 | Hybrid Security | 25% PoS on: October 21, 2016, 12:18:06 PM
let's add 2FA authorization to it for more security! Just my opinion.

2FA in what sense?

i mean do u really want to trust a 3rd party (which provide 2FA) to be able access ur coins?

if at all i would love multisig play a role to create more security

multisig is blockchain tech

2FA and use some google auth or authy are in my opinion a step backwards

Once again it is just an idea.  I am someone who had all of my coins stolen.  Which in turn removes confidence in storing any real value.  I look at DMD as a store of value and would love a better security option if I were to store any real amount of wealth.  If 2FA is not the answer (I am no Dev) then maybe there is something else more secure?
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Diamond (DMD) Evolution v 2.0 | Hybrid Security | 25% PoS on: October 21, 2016, 09:51:26 AM
one thing to discuss

how about with DMD 3.0 we have a 10:1 coin supply reduction

just something to think about

technical we can do it

all balance are reduced by 90% and all total coin related mechanics adapted

max 438k DMD (below a half million after 30+ years!)

maybe that amount of total coins would suite a coin with the name Diamond better?

opinions?

@cryptonit - this equates to a 10:1 reverse split in the equity world.  I am not sure that I understand the point of it other than just making the coin appear to be worth more.  I would much rather prefer leaving the DMD where it is at and dev the crap out of it.  It is considered a store of wealth - let's add 2FA authorization to it for more security! Just my opinion.

edit - what will happen to the value of all of our cloud mining investments?  will that be reversed as well?

Great to see dev back  Wink

Get used to it.. I know its rare these days, but I'm not going anywhere  Wink

@banzaibtc - glad to see you are on your feet again! Welcome back!

We need another hard fork in the ass.  Huh
 ...

I think ZCoin is very profitable now. 500% faster than the i7 on the 750ti with the sp-mod.

Sp mod as in a donation for the gpu miner? :-)  Does it work on 1070 and 970?

Use the openssl one. Cut and paste the name of the package or use the tab key for auto completion.

@pallas - what should I be compiling this in - Ubuntu 14.04 or 16.04?

Try apt-get install libcurl-dev

Now this error:  Most frustrating!

Don't install cuda-toolkit, install cuda8 run file instead.
What errors are you getting?

If you can wait a bit, I will commit the changes to github.

Thank You!  I can wait.

Here it is! :-)

New commit: "GCC 5.4 and cuda8 final build fix"

Enjoy!

Thank you pallas - I will try again today.

It is hard teaching a Windows user Linux - But I refuse to give up.

Ok - I am not having more issues then before:

Would someone please list the tools that are needed in order to compile this?  Let's say I start with a fresh install of Ubuntu 16.04 -

I know after install I do the following:
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get update

then what tools and order do I need to compile this source?  I have so many tabs open I am getting lost on build-essentials, automake, autoconf, cuda toolkit, I keep getting error after error.

Thanks,
pokeytex
