241  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: how to get bitcoin with Bitcointalk Signature Campaigns ? on: September 18, 2015, 10:41:07 PM
Some of the campaign signatures are fully automated without having to go through the approval process. That includes the payment. Provided that you fullfill the criteria to be accepted.
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I've been scammed 5.5BTC. What will you do when your Bitcoin get scammed? on: September 18, 2015, 10:38:04 PM
I would blame and kick myself for letting it to happen in the first place. Not sure if I will be as enthsiastic as before but will definitely take precautions to prevent it from happening again.
243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is big problem in using of bitcoin on: September 17, 2015, 02:14:35 PM
Not until recently that after the multiple stress tests it really shows that we are not ready to move towards mainstream adoption. And the fact that we can't reach a consensus and common solution to address it.
244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a way to earn at least $1 in BTC per hour? on: September 17, 2015, 02:10:06 PM
I think if you already have a full time job you are already making much more than that in an hour. Although a signature campaign can generate some income, it's more like a side earning that rewards you for participating in the discussion.
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING: Atlanta based Bitcoin giant BitPay hacked for nearly $2,000,000! on: September 17, 2015, 02:07:11 PM
Another thing that crossed my mind was I wonder what would happen to those people who hold an account or invested there. Would they be able to withdrawal their coins now that the company is having issue. Hope not another mt gox saga.
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks' own Blockchain? on: September 17, 2015, 02:00:55 PM
I never understood how a bank blockchain is supposed to work.
Who is mining? If it is just the bank people mining, than I don't see, why they would need a blockchain.
Who can look at it? If it is just the bank people looking at it, than I don't see, why they would need a blockchain.

Is there a white paper about it? Are they actually know, what they are talking about, or are they just throwing around words?

I don't think there will be any incentive or reward given for solving each block. Maybe a concensus reached among the banks to maintain a general ledger and the cost of maintenance shared among them. The benefit would be a common ledger for transparency.
247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What features of Bitcoin would you never give up? on: September 17, 2015, 01:50:23 PM
For me it has to be the 21 million cap or else without it bitcoin would nothing. It's like a form of assurance that you own a share of the coin which the value don't get diluted as more and more coins are being generated.
248  Other / Archival / Re: Ads for bitcoin in cinemas? on: September 17, 2015, 01:44:03 PM
It's a great idea. I think the most important part is having a catchy ad message that portrays the innovative side of bitcoin. Don't forget moviegoers are there for entertainment and we don't want something that will get them bored or intrusive.
249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING: Atlanta based Bitcoin giant BitPay hacked for nearly $2,000,000! on: September 17, 2015, 01:40:57 PM
Although I'm not a law expert but looking at how they handle the bitcoin transfer using only email and without having any proper verification and approval process, most likely they will lose the case. Insurance don't cover for careless mistakes and loopholes
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TX]TRANSFER - BITTREX - POW/POS,TOR,Masternodes,Stealth - Android wallet - on: September 16, 2015, 12:35:52 PM
Looking at the coin, i think the problem right now is the high block reward that is pulling down the price.
251  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to $50k before Xmas on: September 16, 2015, 12:28:54 PM
I don't know how you intrepret that graph and coming to conclusion without concrete technical analysis and with firm indicator, but for sure it won't be going to 50k. Plus with all the uncertainties surrounding the coin, it's a big no. We'll be lucky if it even breach 300 and stay there.
252  Economy / Speculation / Re: No More Rocket To The Moon Ever on: September 16, 2015, 12:24:12 PM
Selling off right now might not be a good idea. As i also bought a lot of the coins and watching the price going down after that, just have to accept the fact that this is part of risk of investment that we take. Meanwhile doing some posting and trading to cover back the amount.
253  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best bitcoin wallet? on: September 16, 2015, 12:01:54 PM
I used to download the core and running armory but ever since i started using electrum, there is no turning back. It's fast simple plus it also gives you the control on the settings.
254  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: when we get bitcoin on: September 16, 2015, 11:57:56 AM
Well it all depends on the campaign that you participated. When i first joined the forum i didn't realize that your signature space can actually be used to display campaign ads. So it's like you get to post and at the same time getting paid.
255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An argument for why Bitcoin may become mainstream. on: September 16, 2015, 08:06:35 AM
Well that's the ideal situation. Fact is as long as bitcoin is continued to be associated with scams, gambling and illegal stuff the progress may not be as fast and as postive as we thought it would be.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you spread the word about Bitcoin? on: September 16, 2015, 08:03:44 AM
Well, ever since i started my aim was to get as many people as possible to join in and partcipate. I have to admit everything does not always go as planned. I think most important thing here is apart from telling all the positive sides people also need to know the negatives ones as well. So there is always the disclaimer part.
257  Economy / Speculation / Re: Still to much positive thinking for us to be in the dispare phase... on: September 16, 2015, 06:49:21 AM
Which is why i don't put high hopes on bitcoin and diversify my holdings. Looking at its current state with the flaws in the system, there's high chance it will fail.
258  Other / Off-topic / Re: I received a Ponzi solicitation to my localbitcoins.com email on: September 16, 2015, 01:37:58 AM
Not sure if there anyone who fell for it but I'm sure there's always will be. Sometimes one or even two probably is enough for a work that only involves drafting and sending on emails.
259  Other / Meta / Re: Selling bitcointalk accounts? on: September 16, 2015, 01:24:59 AM
Well this is something that is allowed here. It's just that people have to be extra careful when doing trading. Not that it only applies here in this forum but just about anywhere else. Never trust easily.
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thanks to people who support 1-2 MB blocks - great idea u fools... on: September 16, 2015, 01:17:24 AM
It's good that op points out that indeed there's a flaw in the system that really needs to be addressed. For those who opposes it, we should at least come up with a solution or at least admit there is something wrong. Alas anyway the issue only crops up probably 40 -  50 from now and high chance we will all not be here to see or experience it.
