~ I finished at 25th in the previous tournament but of course I still get the 400FS. I chose to use it on Tiger's Claw as what I did before and I won $120, not better than before when I won $200 from the 400FS on the same game.

Wow, congrats! For me it's still a dream to get into the top 30 in these contests. I mean, during the first 2-3 days it's easy. I was there and even not once I saw myself taking a place like this

But a week later I'm out no matter how hard I try. I think I'll be trying more in the future because from your posts, guys, I see it's possible.

Too bad I'm unlucky while trying to chase good multiplier for the new tournament. Played Gems Bonanza and Wheel O Gold but lost all the winning from the 400FS without hitting nice multiplier.

Good luck next time, mate! They say, "The darkest nights produce the brightest stars", and I wish you that this dark night produced a bright star for you in the form of a great win in the nearest future!
242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making decisions while betting on: April 17, 2024, 01:34:14 PM
Regulating emotions while betting is crucial to avoid impulsive decisions and potential financial losses. It's important because strong emotions can cloud judgment, leading to choices not based on logic or strategy. Techniques such as setting clear limits, taking breaks, and practicing mindfulness can help maintain emotional control. This emotional regulation ensures that betting remains a form of entertainment rather than a harmful habit.

Nicely put! It can be said, I think, that those who suffer from gambling can't control their own emotions when it's needed. I mean, it's not always needed, of course. If you are feeling joy from playing some low volatility slot and winning small amounts all the time, it shouldn't necessarily be suppressed, go ahead, feel it. But if you are getting emotional from your losses and start betting more and more as a result, that should be suppressed.
243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why in some religion gambling is forbidden? on: April 17, 2024, 12:50:49 PM
~
You are right that we usually make a large number of losses. As religion is for humans and it has been created for humans it won't make anything that is bad. So, as gambling is bad religion can't support gambling so gambling is forbidden by maximum religion.

I can agree on that most religions are focused on people following them weren't making anything that is bad for them, but with this blunt statement that gambling is bad I can't agree. Gambling is bad in the sense alcoholic drinks are bad or lending money at interest is bad, things like that. It all depends. If you are not abusing it, maybe it's not that bad after all? In most cases it's greedy people who suffer from gambling, so maybe it's their greed is what should be blamed, not the game.

245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We should be looking only at the brighter side on: April 17, 2024, 09:34:18 AM
~ I wouldn't blame those selling due to financial pressure. I think comparing that with other reasons for selling like negativity towards Bitcoin coming from others or your disbelief if its future is wrong. Being very optimistic about Bitcoin's future I myself was selling it many times in the past at pretty low price exactly because of the financial pressure at the moment.
Well, those were inevitable. Hodling is probably the key to a huge success, but if present financial pressures are hitting us, I think selling regardless of the price is still viable. I have been into that situation and most likely, it’s actually harder not to sell. However, as much as possible, we should try to avoid situations like this and invest only on our spare money and leave some for our emergency funds so that we can hold peacefully our coins without being bothered to sell them at a lower price.

It's an absolutely sound advice, and it's actually very similar to what @ultrloa said earlier. I agree with with both of you guys. Although it's not that easy as it might seem I will try to follow your advises in the future and would suggest others to do the same. It has been proven many times that selling your BTC should be avoided at all costs, because you are surely selling for the price that is much lower than it will be in the future.

247  Economy / Gambling / Re: Buidling a New Crash Game with Community Experience on: April 17, 2024, 08:23:37 AM
With respect, there's no connection with the point that you have pointed out in the first part though. I'm quite confused.

I think that's one of the reasons as well why people do gamble as well. It's always going to be that direction for people who want quick money. Bustabit really has brought you the realization to build a new game. I mean, I don't see the purpose of building a new community game when there's something already doing it.

Well, I wouldn't put it that way. The world of gambling is big enough to embrace many of similar to each other projects. It's just it's never guaranteed that you will succeed. In my opinion, even if you are making something that others have made already, you have to add something unique, just a tiny nuance of difference that will help you to stand out. And this tiny thing might help you to beat your competition.
248  Economy / Gambling / Re: [SOLVED] Betnomi | Project status & Refund Plan! on: April 16, 2024, 12:48:13 PM
~
Betnomi hasn't refunded anyone and put that solved thing on this thread. They can't return the money of the investors and players because they might have already spent that money on wrong things. Such scammers can't really do anything good, but when it comes to bad things then they are always ready. I feed bad for all those investors and players who deposited their money on Betnomi, they will come with a new brand and do the same once again.

What are I you talking about? They refunded me at least, that's what I'm sure of. They transferred more than $350 in BTC and Tether to the addresses I gave them. Who exactly wasn't refunded in your opinion? Did I miss something? Have you personally had money there? It took some time, yes, but in the end they have refunded everyone, I think.

250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling excites you ? on: April 16, 2024, 11:30:03 AM
~ But people do gamble for fun, I am one of them. I even had known a guy, a pretty well-off guy, who was going to land-based casinos to lose money there and get sympathy from the staff. What would you say about him? Smiley

People like that and including you can be said to be a small portion of gambling players who don't care about the money they have spent. and that can happen if people are really rich and don't know how to spend their money anymore, even on vacations and shopping.

but more than 90% I believe gamblers definitely want to win from the game. then have fun with the results he has obtained during the game.

Don't get me wrong, I want to win when I play, everyone does. It's just not a big problem for me when I don't win and lose many of my bets. And that is so not because I'm rich(actually far from that), but because I'm trying to stake not more than I can afford to lose. Regarding 90%, I told you, I think it's more like 100%, but the vast majority of those people still gamble for fun, not to earn money from gambling.
251  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why not create a Gambling platform on Market narrative? on: April 16, 2024, 10:40:46 AM
A few years ago, NFT was launched and it set the market ablaze. Many NFT projects emerged at that time, which left investors confused. They began investing in new NFT projects without understanding them, resulting in significant losses. To this day, these investors have not been able to recover from their losses unless they sold their NFT.

Currently, meme coins are gaining popularity, with a new coin appearing in the market almost daily or weekly. The prevailing belief is that meme coins offer the highest ROI, which they are delivering.

Then, why not create a platform for predicting the performance of any cryptocurrency or a platform for predicting future trends in the market or both?

What are your thoughts on this?

I absolutely support this idea, but, firstly, there are some gambling sites that accept similar bets, and secondly, as yahoo said, creating a website is costly and since there's a chance you will end with no one betting on your site - it's a risky endeavour. Maybe it's a good idea for already existing sites, but creating a platform from scratch I personally wouldn't recommend.

253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: stop the unnecessary blame on gambling whenever you get unlucky on: April 16, 2024, 10:00:16 AM
~
Yes one should first control his greed in gambling otherwise this person will become a big reason for gambling addiction very quickly.  Gambling site games behave the same for everyone so it is foolish to blame the games, if someone panics and over greedy gambles for long and loses gambling then it is entirely his own responsibility. The foolishness of blaming others to avoid one's own fault will not solve it

Indeed, although some gambling addicts might say that this is not the case. I read couple of times someone claiming that a "program" is watching him and makes him lose when he places higher bets. Can you imagine that! Some people really lose their mind because of the addiction. The games are the same for everyone and since only 5% of all gamblers are getting addicted, it's a tragedy, of course, but they should be blaming themselves and no one else.
254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling mistake repeated by the gamblers on: April 16, 2024, 09:26:33 AM
~
It is very difficult to be able to control ourselves when gambling and we will continue to hope that we can get a big win from the bets we place by hoping that luck will be with us from the many risks they take, maybe only a few times they will have luck from betting risks. that they play and when they are aware of what they are doing of course they will be able to manage their gambling well and will make the gambling they play not cost them too much money which will harm them, by complaining about the casino will certainly not give any results without us changing our gambling habits.

We can always hope for big wins, but that shouldn't prevent us from controlling ourselves. Isn't losing control the biggest mistake gamblers can make? None of us should make that mistake. If you enjoy gambling - enjoy it, but don't spoil everything by overusing and abusing it.

No matter the amount, this one leg loss would sting 😯

#UFC300

Yeah, that was harsh. Just one leg lost and the guy didn't win $600.

On the bright side, he lost only $2. Always make smaller bets with higher odds, guys, that's what I'm always saying. If you lose - you lose a little, if you win - you win big.

“I cannot afford to lose”, said Renato Moicano in his Octagon Interview

and he didn't. Watch these two minutes, guys, it's worth it. (clickable)

Betwrong is one of the luckiest guys I see on this forum, not always the biggest wins but your profit vs loss ratio must be pretty handsome.

One day you’re going to hit something big, I can sense it.

As always guys, we really appreciate screenshots and real life gameplay experience, keep them coming.

Thank you, thank you so much, LFC_Bitcoin! Like they say in Ukraine: "Tвoї б cлoвa тa Бoгy в вyxa!". Which translates as "Your words go straight to God's ears!"

I mean, my bets are small, like 20 cents, but if I hit a max multiplier on Bitcasino Billion which is 15,000x, it will be a big hit indeed. Smiley

Today I played it and although my multiplier weren't that big:

every single one of them made me a bit happier. Smiley
257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery Fever. What are your range of thoughts in response to Lucky Winners? on: April 15, 2024, 09:50:32 AM
~
I prefer spending less on luck-based things and spending more on businesses, investments, and others, risks are present but one is bigger than others.
~

The risk in the lottery game is huge. The chance of you winning is incomparable with your chance of succeeding in business, it's way smaller for sure. BUT. The question is what amount of your money you are putting at risk? With lottery it's $2-$3, and with business ... Often people risk everything they have when opening a business or at least they risk thousands of USD. Again, amounts are incomparable.
258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling: Modern entertainment or highly addictive game? on: April 15, 2024, 09:20:59 AM
~

This is a very correct clarification. Everyone blames online gambling for its easy accessibility, but everyone forgets the other side of this: leaving is also easy. And if we are talking about offline gambling, then I can hardly imagine how a gambler, having lost his deposit faster than he expected, immediately leaves the casino. Most likely, he will take more money (from a credit card or something else) because he is forced to “recoup” his costs of getting to the casino and still having fun.
Everything is as always: advantages from a certain angle can be regarded as disadvantages and vice versa.

Yes, we shouldn't ever forget look at things from another angle. Easy accessibility of online gambling can surely be counterbalanced by the ease of exit.

~

Play in the comfort of your home so they say. I sometimes eat my meal in front of the desktop so I won't miss a thing. Users today are doing the sane thing while playing and at the same time twitching.

But it's entirely different when you have to travel a few miles and dress up for the night to play cards on the table. But I think it's more fun to actually go out than online if I had the choice I would prefer to go out and have a drink and chat with real people so that we can meet eye to eye.

And no one, absolutely no one has the right to blame you, mate. If you enjoy it like that, if you like playing with real people instead of icons on computer screen, then do it that way. I assume you are talking about poker? I just want to say that I personally can see real people behind those icons. Especially when we talk to each other in the chat box. So, for me it's no different from a game inside a brick and mortar casino.
259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stopping the curse of losing streak? on: April 15, 2024, 08:44:24 AM
~If you are losing badly on a specific game, my advice - change it immediately.
Well you do got the point on which on the time that you are losing money on a type of game then switching games could really ease out that kind of disappointment and anger on which
it is really just that a normal thing to wipe off or lessen out that kind of impulsive feeling on which this one really works and i have been into this kind of situation too
but im not really that expecting for other wins on other games. ~

You are absolutely right, don't expect anything from another game. It's just it will be less frustrating if another game will bring you nothing too. I mean, for me it's like that: if I'm not succeeding in something and yet keep ding it without changing anything and keep failing, it gets on my nerves, know what I mean?
260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: April 15, 2024, 08:06:25 AM
Hey gamblers' community, hope you're all doing great.
I wanted to convey my message here that gambling in front of our kids may put adverse effects on their growing minds and they may also take the wrong path and start gambling (either by asking you personally for funds or by stealing it in order to fulfill their gambling cravings).

I'm sharing this because I saw this issue with my kiddo who was once watching me gamble at a website playing blackjack and she started asking me more about the game. Then one day, she wanted to play it herself and asked me if she can go for it and I said "no, it's not your legal age to go for such games". So, it's better to keep our kiddos away from gambling and let them focus on their studies, else it'd actually ruin everything for the whole family if the kid takes the wrong path.

Making kids focus on their studies instead of introducing them to gambling? Who would argue with that? Even if it was possible for them to constantly make money through gambling, what money can bring to an uneducated person? Nothing apart some troubles, I think. The greatest wealth lies in knowledge, not money.
