If now BTC addresses is unknown, after ICO is over, BTC can be transferred to a new address and make public this fact.

Isn't everytime there's an ICO, some people will post everything to call is SCAM? When ETH ICO came in, people are calling it a deadcoin once ICO is over but look at it now. But of course, there'll be always an altcoin having an ICO who doesn't have any purpose at all so at some point if you're going to call all ICOs SCAM, you will be correct at most times and have the feeling of "I told you so" moment.
On this forum, where ratio between scam and legit projects is 99:1 or worse, ICO with no visible BTC address is a scam. It does not make a difference if project actualy kicks off later and become as big as ETH, it is a scam because investors got less coins than they were supposed to get. Like it is not enough that no one can tell how many coins developers are getting for free (buy coins with their own BTC and get coins + BTC back) now it became fine that even BTC address is not known, fucking hillarious. I can already see this ICO will end up with 10,000+ BTC "invested" and 5,000+ "participants" which is way more investors than cryptospace has in total. Or at least ones that are stupid enough to put (big) money into project that is actualy a clone of a coin which already failed (XCR). After ICO ends all BTC is available to devs. at their discretion? Or is a roadmap to spend ICO value?
Someone can answer? We will spend all the money on Lisk. This includes marketing, conference/meetup visits, salaries, office space, hardware we might need, infrastructure, business establishment (taxes) and much more. I am on this forum and community for almost 4 years, very accurately calling out suspicious deals. Supossedly this LISK is a major deal but it is nothing more than rebranded XCR which had almost no community and struggled at exchanges for years. This ICO is a scam, period. |

On a second thought, what makes this coin competitive versus BOINC? At BOINC there is a huge amount of computing power already available for free. So why would someone mess with crypto and pay for computing power in the first place? Also, if there are no regular PoW block rewards that means miners are not incentivized to process regular transactions, will network stall until someone pays enough for miners to start computing?
As for amount of coins, 5M sounds fine but I would also be OK with 1M or 100M. Just don't go retarded and opt for 100B or 100k coins.

Funny times, there is a new improved miner but difficulty is more or less the same as before which means those mining now are getting more coins per W invested yet very few are actualy selling. Profitability of mining is much higher than before and buy orders are 50% higher than before but trade volume is insignificant, how come? So what is next, epic pump up to parity with Bitcoin?

If I understood correctly, the only way for me to exchange XCR to LISK is by using XCR web wallet provided at LISK ICO website. I can not send coins from Poloniex and use my Poloniex deposit address as return address for ICO. I must use my own address to send coins and use my own address as return address for ICO. Which means I must withdraw all my XCR from Poloniex to my own address first, correct? That is not true. Anyone who has considerable amount of money invested in Bitcoin or ecosystem is running a full node. 100% of such people I know including myself are doing it because we are aware there is no "others that should do it for ourselves" with Bitcoin, here you are your own bank and should behave responsibly toward your own money else you risk losing it all. It costs so little to participate in trustless manner. It costs maybe a few dollars per month to have extremely secure local storage for my coins. It would be increadibly stupid to cut costs there. Financial return is in the fact there is no way I can wake up tommorow and not own my coins anymore which is what can easily happen to anyone using unofficial offline or online wallets. Such people can lose money anytime while I can't hence if trouble strucks I would not lose money which equals becoming rich at the times everyone else are becoming poor. |

This is one of the first questions I get to be asked when talk to people about BTC, how did I get in?
My story s simple, in late 2012, I had an extra PC and I started browsing make money online forums to find something to do with that machines. People suggested botting, social signals etc., and one day someone suggested to mine BTC. I got into mining and have been into this beautiful economy ever since.
What about you?
I was looking for a way to enable international payments an easy way for some of my online projects and PayPal, Moneybookers and such did not filled the role, too complicated, fees too high. |
