381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qora | POS | Assets | Names | Polls | Automated Transactions | Social Network on: December 26, 2015, 05:11:03 PM
Houston, we have a problem! Few hours ago generators stopped confirming my name registrations but still processed someone else's name registration. And now there is no new block for over 60 minutes. When I restart my wallet I can see that all my non-confirmed transactions are still present on network. They are visible at http://qora.co.in/?unconfirmed as well. So what is happing here, is it some nasty bug or did someone with way too much forging power decided that he will ignore my transactions and then he went offline?

Update:

Few new blocks were created but all my transactions are still waiting confirmation.
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: December 24, 2015, 11:35:10 PM
START is pumping without good reasons, beware of Max and co. dumping on you!

Think this might have something to do with it  https://www.startjoin.com/DAXP
It will get Startcoin onto a wall street grade exchange as the only non mayor crypto apparently

Someone is trying to make money on the crypto movement, that's all. I think Adam Leonard is not realy aware of what HFT means.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCR] Crypti | Dapps | Sidechains | Dapp Store | OPEN SOURCE | 100% own code | DPoS on: December 24, 2015, 09:51:08 PM
No clue why but I can't login to https://wallet.crypti.me/ and it worked fine few weeks ago and earlier.

Does the screen not load for you? You can't type in a passphrase?

Page was loading and I could enter password but after hitting enter on keyboard nothing was happening. But it works now, thanks!

The moment of truth:

I was very hard on Crypti developers on few occassions but now I must say the amount and quality of work done by them is impressive. It is just too bad (or not, if you think truly decentralized) that competition is strong and big in numbers but I am still a beliver in XCR and will hold my 300,000+ coins for as long as the price does not justify the quality and quantity of work done here. And that is surely not 500 Satoshis or 2,500 Satoshis. Not looking to become rich here but looking for some justice. Given the amount of complete craps, copycats with some stupid shit storylines (Auroracoin and such), plain scams and unfulfilled promises of so many ICOs and IPOs which this forum and community have witnessed in the last few years it is really unjust that Crypti is positioned so low marketcapwise today. I think that things might go even worse but at some point XCR should gain major acceptance. In any case, do not lose hope at cryptocoins and fcking never ever sell at a loss (asuming you didn't went stupid and invested all you money into XCR or whatever else, diversify a little!).

Big thanks to Boris and everyone else for all the times raging and being excited about Crypti. I won't say Happy Xmass because I really despise (mass) religion but I still wish you all a good times!  Wink

Go Russia, BRIC or BRICS are the future!

385  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 0.5% fee solo mining USA/DE/CN servers 142 blocks solved! on: December 24, 2015, 09:39:20 PM
i am the infamous orphan.  The only one this pool has ever known.  Unloved and alone on christmas.  Angry

That orphan was my 3rd block on this pool within a month or so and it marked the change in my luck.   That was 1 month 13 days ago and i have tried everyday to get my block back that was stolen by the chinese...  Spent all 50 of my bitcoins i received from the earlier blocks chasing it.

You can only hit a block when you least expect it and when you dont need the money.   The more you want it, need it, the more elusive it is....

Merry Christmas all!!!

Just please don't go crazy like https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1295669.0

388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PXC] Phoenixcoin v0.6.6.0 ~ NeoScrypt on: December 23, 2015, 05:49:35 PM
It is almost unthinkable to me that this coin could one day rise into a global currency used by many or everyone. It has pathetic low marketcap, some trade is occuring only at 1 broken and possibly soon out-of-business exchange and there is no interest from cryptocoin community. But then again, this is a crazy world so I have stocked up a bit over 1% of all so far mined PXC, just in case.
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCN] Cryptonite | 1st mini-blockchain coin | M7 PoW | No Premine on: December 18, 2015, 05:27:58 PM
I think the concept above this coin is extremly powerfull but perhaps the dev should debug a little the code, the miniblockchain probably will be the future

There is no developer. There is a guy who paid someone else to code it all and now he struggles finding someone to make changes to existing code. So do not expect much happening here so soon.
390  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 0.5% fee anonymous solo bitcoin mining 136 blocks solved! on: December 14, 2015, 11:24:00 AM
There will be a very brief blip in mining while I restart the pool for updates.

EDIT: Complete

Did Cryptsy upgraded their wallet? Blockchain explorer at https://chainz.cryptoid.info/flap/ is still using old one.

393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: December 07, 2015, 08:54:19 PM

But you just keep on depositing and keeping START only at non-accessible wallets, exchanges and StartJoin, it is all fine.  Grin

or get some new StartCOIN full nodes up and running  Grin

Not just full-nodes but accessible full-nodes. The number of inaccessible ones is irrelevant.

DO YOU LIKE DOGS? THEN YOU WILL LOVE DOGE!

Doge is a worshipped dog in Askian, said to bring people wisdom and inner peace. Get a
DOGECOINCARD, designed exclusively for Dogecoin, an open source peer-to-peer digital
currency, favored by Shiba Inus worldwide.

DOGECOINCARD, issued in a limited amount of 1 200 units, will be on sale at the Partner
Store
from Tuesday, December 8th, 3pm CET. One month later it will be available at the
Public Store.

Visit our new Blockchain Cards Store and get other SoG cards too!

So what exactly are all those cards doing? How much they are affecting the game? How this DOGE one actualy performs vs. other ones? Totaly unclear but people are still buying like cards are cheap. When compared to let's say MTG cards all I'm seeing here are card name, picture, some flavour text (does not affect gameplay at all) and some sort of mana symbol on the left and that's it. I realy don't see how can a game be of good quality or attract major interest if cards are doing pretty much nothing.

395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HUC] Huntercoin - Human Mining - Decentralized MMO and Crypto Game on: December 07, 2015, 08:36:57 PM
snailbrain, can you please enlist Huntercoin on Yobit.net?

It would be easier for everyone to trade at any point of time, apart from playing. Smiley

And an online wallet will also be fine for hoarding majority of my funds.

+1

Any chinesse exchange would help HUC in the long run.
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PXC] Phoenixcoin v0.6.6.0 ~ NeoScrypt on: December 07, 2015, 08:34:42 PM
Have you tried with nodes listed on this page? What blockheight it is stucked at anyway?

Yup, tried with all them. It doesn't even load 1 block...

I can not help you more, my Win7 node is working just fine and I am out of troubleshoting solutions. Check https://cryptocointalk.com/forum/186-phoenixcoin-pxc/ developer seems to be there more often than here.

Poloniex fixed the problem.

Chris Ellis is making bitcoin fullnodes nodes live on Youtube after funding them on StartJoin:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqeH6YG0sO4&feature=youtu.be

Edit:

And second part : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZaLDA0zuFA&feature=youtu.be

Bitcoin accessible full-nodes = over 5,000
Startcoin accessible full-nodes = less than 25 and on many occassions less than 10

Get my drift?

Where do you get your numbers? At check at http://www.blocktree.io/e/START gives 38 nodes, which I suppose is miners since my own full node (non miner) does not show up there. Since the market cap of startcoin is about 1/5000 of bitcoin the numbers does add up, even a bit better for startcoin.

Link you provided and data there are missleading because that is one of nodes that accepts incoming connections. Out of 38 other nodes connected to it maybe a few can accept such connections as well. Now imagine if only 1 node can accept incoming connections, it would completely control that network because all other nodes can not connect anywhere else but to that node. The same deal as with 1 server and many clients. Then imagine how easily could one paralyze Startcoin network even now, DDoS attacks are cheap and all it takes is to DDoS those few nodes that are accepting incoming connections. As an extra, for not much more money, attacker could create thousands of fake nodes (low resource consumption but acts as a normal full-node) that are accepting incoming connections and then advertise IP addresses of just those nodes. Because no legit node could connect to legit DDoSed nodes they would instead use up all their connection slots (maximum 8 outgoing connections) connecting to attacker nodes then after a while attacker can just stop DDoS and laugh. Legit users would need to restart wallets multiple times and somehow flush malicious IP addresses from their peers.dat file which is all possible but you should think about all nasty consequences of stuff written above if attacker persists with attack for more than a day. And from the technical standpoint it can actualy go much worse.

But you just keep on depositing and keeping START only at non-accessible wallets, exchanges and StartJoin, it is all fine.  Grin

Clarification on NSFW Posts

NSFW pics can be linked, but they MUST be clearly marked.
NSFW pics CANNOT be embedded.

That won't work, you should create self-moderated thread instead.

My understanding was that users here hated self-moderated threads, and it created distrust for the person that starts them.

This sort of threads are an exception and on top of it you are not a noob around here so I don't see a reason for someone to become suspicious.
