241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Now that we are in 2020 on: January 05, 2020, 11:54:12 AM
We are in 2020 and we hope to see a good start of the market this year, this year we are hopeful that a bull run could come again due to many big events, one popular one for bitcoin is its halving and for altcoins, Libra launch?? i know some would disagree as they are against in Libra project.

But here's the question, if the market goes bullish and altcoins are pumping, do you think when there is an ICO, people are still going to invest?

personally I believe they will not because there an IEO already but I like to hear yours.

If you see before USA/Iran tension the only thing discussed in crypto community is bitcoin halving and now all of sudden whole focus is on www III, which people like me dont want to happen.
ICO and IEOs are almost over but they are not dead yet. It's a market driven by news. Who knows one strong statement from USA president may revive them.
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if a bitcoin trading is worth trusting? on: January 04, 2020, 04:40:58 PM
Hello all,

I am new to this whole bitcoin thing and know very little about it.

A few days ago I got added to a Telegram group which is run by a bitcoin & binary trader.

I am being proposed 100% ROI, with the trader claiming 95%+ success rate.

If I invest $500, I will get back $5000 within 5 days.

So, my question is - how do I know if this is legit or not before investing?

Their fees would be 15%.

Thanks

Rule of Thumb in any trading. Never do greed
If they can give you 5000$ for 500$, why they are doing on Telegram group. They must be billionaire and enjoying life.
No need to DYOR on this project. Just leave it, its defiantly a scam or ponzi.
243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Soaring BTC trading volumes in Venezuela and other inflation stricken countries on: January 04, 2020, 10:00:19 AM
We also saw many who start buying BTC in dec 2017 when it was going up. What happen to all those buyers ? They are only regretting that move.
Is it established that bitcoin can solve the economic crisis of Venezuela? If that is not proven then this buying is another fomo
244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Market Is Manipulated on: January 04, 2020, 09:33:03 AM
Such things are common in the trading world, the forex market, the stock market, are all manipulated, until someone illustrates that the trading world is like the law of the jungle, the strong who hold the reins, we as small traders can only take advantage of the opportunities that exist.

Crypto people who helped bitcoin when it was a joke are now helped back by bitcoin.
If you are in crypto trading then better swim with these whales to get profit. These whales are not only in crypto market they are everywhere be it forex, commodity, gold or any other trading market.
245  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we getting a pump and dump for this month? on: January 03, 2020, 05:43:09 PM
Last year, it started from $3k+ and it ain't that good either, but we finished above $7k last month. So almost $4k gained.
You missed the main climax of 2019. It went up to $12k also. From $3k+ to $12k, it was gain of almost $8k. How much more gain you want from bitcoin?
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How difficult is it to change total bitcoin's 21 million suppply? on: January 03, 2020, 05:32:39 PM
I don’t think there is possibility to change the total supply of 21 million bitcoin, last one of which will be mined in 2140. Satoshi designed the algorithm in a manner that bitcoin will have a controlled inflation. As per my knowledge there is no one who can change this supply.
247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Blockchain Classroom] Lesson 15:How to transfer Bitcoin? on: January 03, 2020, 05:23:54 PM
I must appreciate your effort and few suggestions also to improve that. Try to elobrate this process in more details and if you add snapshot of how to do this that will be a big plus.
248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin kicks off 2020 more secure than ever as hash rate hits record high on: January 03, 2020, 05:15:08 PM

With this enormous hashing rate one thing is clear that mining is only for those who can afford expensive hardware as well as electricity bills.
Let’s hope in 2020 we have same increase in adoption rate of bitcoin which is what bitcoin badly need.
249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Faketoshi has failed again! on: January 03, 2020, 04:59:01 PM
How can you say he failed again? When he was successful. From the very first day he wasn’t able to prove anything but still he has the courage to come again with new lies. Salute to his low character that he can withstand so much criticism.
250  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am new here, how to know good project to invest? on: January 02, 2020, 05:54:28 PM
Best is to start with bitcoin, as recommended by other members. To find some good projects you have to do research and spend some time in this area. Like reading news daily, seeing the coinmarketcap, posting and reading here. Only then you are able to successfully recognize a project. There is no shortcut to becoming millionaire quickly.
251  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you use cryptocurrencies in your daily life? Are they useful? on: January 02, 2020, 05:29:25 PM
I am yet to use crypto in my daily life. I only store it as an asset of value. In my country there is no merchant that accept crypto, that’s one of primary reason why I haven’t used crypto in my daily life. For me they are useless if you want to use them for daily living.
252  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Closing Price On 2019? What do you think this year 2020 will be? on: January 02, 2020, 05:07:11 PM
We have coin halving coming this year and hopes are that price will go up due to this activity. Last year we saw an upward spike followed by Chinese president statement on blockchain. If we see any other statement this year chances are bitcoin my climb to 15000 USD. Anything can happen in this market of FUD and speculation. Just be careful with your money.
253  Economy / Economics / Re: You want to get rich, don’t pay taxes, don’t get married, don’t use bank, and... on: January 02, 2020, 04:44:03 PM
If these are conditions for getting rich I will prefer to remain poor.
If you don’t pay tax then stop expecting the government to build carpeted roads for you, provide adequate hospital facility and other things also.
Add one more thing on this list of becoming rich, don’t eat. You can save money on your food also on the path to becoming rich.
254  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much can bitcoin cost in Future. on: January 02, 2020, 04:19:26 PM
If you look at history of bitcoin price it was full of volatility. In 2019 bitcoin was seen at 4000$, 12000$ and 7000$. There is no way we can predict future price of bitcoin based on its historical data, we can only have a guess. From my mind if bitcoin crossed 10,000$ in 2020 it will be a big opportunity for all hodlers to convert their bitcoin into profit.
255  Economy / Speculation / Re: What’s your expectation on 2020 Halving year?! on: January 01, 2020, 04:55:34 PM
Right now bitcoin halving is the only thing being discussed in the crypto community as it’s the only event that can bring bitcoin price revolution. Chances are rear that we see any price change immediately with coin halving. AFAIK it will result in higher transaction fee as less no of coins are generated every block.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why YouTube Bans Bitcoin &Crypto Videos? on: January 01, 2020, 04:21:21 PM
Previously we have seen Google/facebook doing this with the name of client safety from risky investment and now its YouTube turn to do that. YouTube hasn’t banned these contents rather they are restoring crypto contents. It may be that they are just doing a test to see crypto community reaction on this move. Strong criticism from crypto community forced them to restore the contents.
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hong Kong Police Freeze $10M Fund for Protesters - Bitcoin Becomes Attractive on: January 01, 2020, 03:37:56 PM
Hong Kong has a history of living under the leadership of UK and that’s why their youth think that protest will give them a solution of their choice but this is China now. I don’t think it’s a good idea to protest under the communist government of China. They have a history of human abuse for anyone who goes against them.
258  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price in January 2020 will touch 10k, What do you think? on: December 31, 2019, 05:26:07 PM
We all will welcome 10k$ price again. If someone is sure that it's going to be 10k$ in 2020 then why not accumulate bitcoin at current rate? Nobody is sure where bitcoin will move from here. You have to define your strategy yourself of when to buy and when to sell. There is no full bottom, as many were expecting to buy bitcoin at 6k$ but it reverses its journey from 6700$
259  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bad "good" news. on: December 31, 2019, 05:05:59 PM
The best way to avoid fake news is by not following everything you read on the internet. If you look at this forum it's full of FUD and speculations about bitcoin future price, some saying it will go to 5000$ while another predicts it will be one million $ per bitcoin. I do give more weightage to contents I found on sites like Bloomberg or investing.com since they are authentic sources.
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fight against Bitcoin is coming. Are we ready?! on: December 31, 2019, 04:38:25 PM
Banks will only accept coins like xrp that are centralized and are not eliminating middlemen share. Currencies like xrp have nothing to do with cryptocurrencies as they are totally against the principles of cryptocurrencies. Banks will never accept the true cryptocurrency revolution rather they will make their own to remain in the contest.
