any pools???

I did preregister in two pools yesterday. None of them is working so far.

Yeah, since solomining at this point is nigh impossible, I have minerd preconfigured with one of the pools and retrying every 30 seconds. When they eventually turn it up I should be good to go.

If stratum ever arrives, lol.

We are pretty close with it, but better catch some rest first.

I kinda figured Smiley

I'm an engineer, I've done product launches, I know you guys are in a shitshow right now, lol. Do your best - champagne party afterwards!

Mac OS X Wallet indeed broken (missing dependencies)

Should be fixed ASAP

YES PLEASE FIX MAC WALLET

It's not that I don't think progressive liberals shouldn't be able to mine with their ipad air mini silver or iphone 9t in shit brown or whatever is fashionable and overpriced at the moment. Its just that i think that you are at the extreme bottom of everyone elses priority list.   Cry

+100000000000000

DOES THIS WORK  FOR YOU?

MAC Wallet Daemon (not QT)

This should work on Macs with 64bit. Tested on Mavericks.

If it helped feel free to donate some coins Wink

Not having any luck with this... can you post some instructions on usage? Otherwise OSX wallet-qt still isn't working, and the heavycoind just says that rpc is configured wrong.

Hey jackass, some of us "progressive liberals" use macs because we're professional developers, and it costs more money to buy an install/support contract from Oracle/System76 to set up all of our unix machines than it does to buy a mac which is fully configured BSD out of the gate. Get the hell over yourself.

OSX wallet crashes on startup, can't get it to work. Going to try windows in a minute.

First post in the thread, and I want to say that poolwaffle has done an awesome job.

That said... one thing I'd really like to see is the ability to hold a particular coin/not exchange it for BTC, and still trade everything else. Right now I have to switch back and forth between wafflepool and another pool (about every 3-4 days) so I can mine and save some altcoins, while the majority of time is spent on wafflepool converting everything to BTC. That allows me to hedge againt price changes over the long run, while bringing in a profit over the short run.

I can sort of get it to work with multipool, but nothing gives me mining results as good as wafflepool. I'd love to only use the one pool and never switch, especially one this reliable.
788  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ASIC - is this just a pipedream of hope, or is it really coming this year? on: January 31, 2013, 04:56:41 PM
I'm concerned about this as well. I have around 2k$ USD to invest in asic mining equipment from a stock sale. However I'm concerned about investing in a FPGA device now that Avalon has (supposedly) shipped its ASIC units. I've been sitting and waiting. Right now none of the calculators I look at show me making any type of return with FPGA devices.
