So, apparently folks who have hashlets still are seeing their numbers changing, as if nothing had happened and like they are still running. The users just aren't getting paid.

So this would indicate 3 real options...

  • GAW HAS NOT turned off equipment and has commandeered user's hashpower and is using it for themselves (theft)
  • GAW WAS mining and HAS turned off equipment, and what is shown is just RNG that they forgot to turn off (shady, lazy)
  • GAW was never really mining, and what is shown in the UI is just RNG (false advertisement, possibly securities fraud)

Anything I'm missing?

Mining   -   Maintenance Fee : UMISOO Running Time: 6 h 21 m 39 s

is not this a little bit long ??

Yup, we have had some really crappy blocks lately. It will get better, especially when the S5 farm comes online. Be really careful with umisoo lately. It's cheap but you could get burnt. I moved everything over to S4 personally until S5 comes out and stablizes.

Any idea when the AntS5 shares will be on the market?

Soon (tm)

I knew about https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=857670.19960 but i stopped reading it (to much useless posts ) Anyway thanks for the other link. I read a few posts and it seems everybody now realize Garza is a fraud .

Back to the real thing : strange btc is going down ,diff is going up but UMISSO price is going up . Did I miss something ?

You didn't miss a thing.  With btc/usd around 220's and an incoming difficulty increase that looks to be well over 5% maybe closer to 10% by the time it adjusts it is not really even a gamble to buy umisoo at this price it is insane to.

You also need to think in terms of how long umisoo will most likely stay valid and if you can mine that amount or more in that time.  The answer for me is a clear no.

However, if btc climbs to over 250 to about 270 and looks like it has some legs even with the 10% increase it could prolong the life of umisoo enough to possibly make enough on the mining and then the resale.

Here is the biggest problem we are at 220 with a looming 5-10+ % difficulty increase...  If btc/usd drops even a little ( which is clearly not beyond the realm of possibility ) you lose everything.  Now, if umisoo was trading at closer to .0001 then the risk/reward ratio become more acceptable imo.   The risk to what reward with the current price of umisoo is just not there.

Crap, I just looked at nextdifficulty. I hadn't realized that it was up to a 10% diff increase now. Ouch.
Shit tons of mining hardware must have come online in the past week.

it looks like all the people with old school miners are turning them on to stay warm during this cold winter nights we are haveing, guess they figured better to generate heat and some bitcoin. Instead of just heat and pay gas

lol, if you have some BFL power supplies and a wood stove, you could always start a fire Cheesy

gethashing is the halfway house from being high on hopium at htalk for so long.  Going straight here would be too much of a shock to the system.

Plenty of people here are still stuck in cashtakers, etc but have the courage to talk about it.

I agree, fuck them at gethashing, at least half of them.

I have to say that many of the users at gethashing are real fucking pussy's. They have no problem discussing how fucked GAW and Paycoin is and what a failure it is and probable scam, but they don't have the balls to come here and admit it and admit that we were right all along and they were wrong. They had big balls when they came here and bashed us and demanded they were right and we were just either jealous, nervous or spreading FUD. I see there are a lot of users from here over there. I have zero interest in joining their new little safe haven for ex accomplices. Someone should ask them why they don't have the balls to come here and admit they were wrong and we were right. A real man admits his faults and owns his failures.

LOL, some of us were here first, and started dabbling in HT but realized it was one big circle-jerky dog and pony show Smiley

He was talking about 1980's Steve Jobs, the one who did so horribly that he was booted from his own company. The one who ripped off his best friend for a few grand because "fuck you, I'm Steve Jobs bitch."

OMG. They have a suicide thread at hashtalk now. Poor sobs.

https://hashtalk.org/topic/30882/having-suicidal-thoughts-please-read

I know! What kind of prick posts something like that!  Wink

You would have posted your phone # if you really cared.  Wink

But then his phone would be ringing non stop with a bunch of whiny brats crying over their beloved paycoin.

And probably some cruel prick yanking his chain calling up and breaking down into tears and ending the call with a gunshot...

You know, that actually would be very unlikely to phase me. I use to do hospital IT before I moved to telecom. After the first time you have someone bleed out because an OR cart is malfunctioning and you can't fix it fast enough, you kind of go numb to it. That and doctors screaming at you all the time that lives are on the line. We did have a bunch of guys who quit because they couldn't handle it though. Everyone dies, the best we can do is stall it a bit.

Back to the happy go lucky posting Cheesy

I predicted this about ~600 pages ago. It isn't just the money, it is that people feel like fools for having been sucked into something like this, especially the cult aspects of this whole scam. Add to that people getting their family and friends involved in this and people really will start jumping off of bridges.

Honestly, I want to try and put together some sort of brochure about "how not to get scammed in crypto" to hand out at some of the cons.

Warning signs - cult-like following, echo chambers, reliance on past performance as verification of legitimacy, etc.
When bitcoin-trader was going south, anyone who spoke up about things not adding up was silenced not only by douchebags like Michael Bradenberg and Rob Drover, but the community itself. People attacked anyone who spoke up. It's a gigantic warning sign that folks are high on koolaid.

When it eventually imploded, there were folks who had lost tens of thousands of dollars in the scam. There were folks talking about suicide because they lost so much, but worse, because they had actively gone after people who tried to warn them and inadvertently made other people lose out too. It was all kinds of messy.

Look out the debit card scam is entering real wanker territory now with that loser bitcoin bar defending this shit with idiotic claims that only a moron who has NFI about crypto would believe.

Seriously people the more this guy speaks the less brain cells you have IF you bother to read the shit dribbling from its fat mouth

Your pathetic bitcon bar and reaper, I hope you get ass raped so hard, but then again you both strike me as people that enjoy that kind of thing.

Also that will get you banned or shadow banned sburn how dare you ask questions and tear apart their scheme/scam

I still don't understand why people think there have never been any prepaid debit cards that are based on converted crypto. Here is one of mine, which has no yearly membership cost and the last time I checked had no fee above 3%.

Scott-

Mind sharing with the class who the bank is to provide that? I've been waiting on a shift invite for a LOOOOOONG time now.

A small P.S. to msarro.
I checked the profile of the guy who claimed to be the DDOSer. It seems he got burned, so if all the information is real it was his swan song.
https://hashtalk.org/topic/29774/why-i-m-never-leaving/22

Yep, bl4nk is gone as well. GAW MO is to burn any bridge that has outlived its usefulness so it isn't surprising.

Sorry for the brusque language, just tired of seeing people try to make excuses for the HT community OR saying cf throws around baseless accusations and that's how I took what you were saying.

Folks are rolling the dice that BTC prices will go up and UMISOO will go up in value.

It's like a derivative of a derivative market, lol

Go back a few score pages and look at the evidence yourself. That's the twitter account deactivation from coinfire having their account cancelled being posted just a minute or so after their account was deactivated. Either they were involved, or someone close to them was involved. Further there were several users bragging about messing with their domain registrar on HT in that same (now deleted) thread.

So stop trying to see how much of Garza's dick you can choke down and read the actual evidence. I just gave one example.
Nope, there are many other options like Garza's competition, a random hacker playing with them, someone who doesn't like coinfire and wanted to have fun and at the same time draw suspicions to hashtalk, even coinfire themselves in order to make other news sites report attacks on them (free advertising). Like I said anybody can claim it was them but there's no case without proof and Coinfire as a news site should stick to reporting the facts.

You called me a dumbass, then edited your post and changed it to cocksucker, I just hope you're not related to Coinfire. I bet this is not the support they want at the moment. If you can't respond like a normal person, just don't.

Not related. Just watched the whole damn thing take place with my own eyes. There was more than enough evidence to know it was folks inside the HT community who were involved. There were death threats made prior from the "XPY army."

As of right now, there is no evidence showing this would be a false flag. Ever heard the term "law of parsimony"? Occam's Razor? All of the evidence points to someone who is involved with XPY either as a user or possibly GAW. You are making an extraordinary claim that it is some kind of conspiracy.

Extraordinary claims should require extraordinary evidence.

Funny how Cyberlizard's SEC Communitcation Confirmation post got edited by the CEO to remove mention of the SEC among other things:

I'm sure the GAW faithful will still claim Coin Fire lies and keep sending DDOS attacks at us. Since we got our site moved over CloudFlare logs are showing nonstop DDOS attacks against us still and our WordFence logs show thousands of attempted login attempts every hour. Thousands upon thousands.

On one hand you want to act like professional journalists, on the other you go to the forums and spread unconfirmed accusations. Can you prove it's a GAW client that attacks you? Wasn't there a police investigation after your site was DDOSed for the firs time? You blamed GAW, said you have the ip addresses and will update the readers. I haven't seen an update, but what I did see were post like this one with more accusations.

You really should read more before you post idiotic things like that. There's plenty more evidence.

Someone trolling on the forums is a proof to you? I could say here that it was me all this time, I have a giant server room in my house all dedicated to ddosing a random news site. That's some evidence you got there Wink

So, I'm considering opening a case with VISA today. I ordered about 4k worth of hashlets a few months ago. I have the screenshots showing the "always profitable" and "yours forever" and I don't have to try hard to get the "cloud mining disabled" screenshot.

How do I go about doing this? Would it be a chargeback? Would I have a case?

Call the bank who issues the card.

Good idea - I'll give them a call this evening. Not sure how much fraud protection there is for an order from september but who knows.

That explains why the luck factor is bad. The unknown could be private miners and maybe some of the mining companies that don't want to be known anymore aka cex or josh's gawminers both which froze user mining power

Talking about gaw, I saw the drop of paycoin due to delay in honor program :  any news about their SEC inquiries or validation ?

They're a slowly imploding ponzi imo.

Folks were saying that miners still show numbers changing, which leaves 3 possibilities -

-GAW has commandeered the hashrate of their users to stay solvent (theft)
-GAW was never mining and was just playing the ponzi game, and reported numbers were just RNG (securities fraud)
-GAW was mining, but reported numbers were just RNG (not really illegal, just shady as fuck)

Either way, they are breaching their TOS by cancelling cloud mining.

Add to the fact that as soon as bitmain confirmed the sale of several PH to GAW, a bunch of S4's showed up for sale at http://oneminer.com/ (another GAW property), I'm thinking they were never really mining and the photos they were showing off were from inside a business partner's facility.

Bitmain verified hardware was ordered, but that doesn't mean it was ever racked and stacked. According to suchmoon some of the hardware purchased from oneminer had non-default info so it MAY have been powered on and configured at some point. I don't think anyone really knows.

There's a massive thread going over the whole GAW thing at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=857670.19960 and http://forum.gethashing.com/t/xpy-paycoin-discussion/

Anybody notice GAW is selling of their miners.. cough.. future for them = grim  Tongue http://www.gawminers.com/collections/all-miners/products/antminer-s4-by-bitmain-tech-same-day-shipping

550 bucks for a scamartist's used s4!! worth it!? will you get it!? lol...

You can buy S4's from GAW even cheaper here:
http://oneminer.com/

They showed up almost as soon as Bitmain provided shipping confirmation.
