Okay so you can rent out your hashrate under contracts now?
Or is this a contract to go on PPLNS?

I think it's related to PACMiC
582  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: March 04, 2015, 09:38:29 PM
Not sure if I understand this correctly; the new PACMiC is like a Bitcoin CD?  Or is it like a hybrid cloud mining + add on interest payments?  Bitmain please explain.

I also am curious. It looks like it amplifies your mining earnings somehow?

1,000,000$ domain-name purchase was more important than paying for the electric bills  Grin
It was so they had something they could sell off during bankruptcy.

Either that, or depending on the terms of the sale if they didn't make payment after a set time the domain would revert to the old owner and previous payments would be forfeit. It isn't unheard of.

Imagine the publicity if they lost btc.com. Power going out in a DC? You can spin that. Losing BTC.com due to nonpayment? That's way more public and way harder to spin.

Exactly. The domain is in escrow. The escrow agent told them it will be returned to the seller on the 20th.

I must admit, as much as I dislike Garza, I do have to admire his ability to spin and control spin. People who have that kind of "gift of gab" are so different from me that I can't help but find them fascinating. Even if they are assholes.

There are people who have that kind of "gift of gab" without being destructive and self-destructive. Therefore I would not say Garza is gifted. I don't understand all this. If I would try to scam people I would have a plan to get out without self-damaging. If I would try to start a big project like XPY was intended, and without a Scam-Intention, I would try it on a "honest-way"... I watch this and don't understand how this all is possible.

Oh you are totally right, but I'd still say he is undeniably gifted. But in the same way Jim Jones and David Koresh were gifted. I'm just fascinated by people who can lure people in like that and make them so blind to reality.

Poor guy.. At least he took his own advice and "owned it"...

Kind of pisses me off that shaerox was able to buy a bunch of paycoin but missed payment on a bunch of his btcjam loans. What a fucking mook.

Delays are understandable but an update would be nice. 2+ hrs overdue.

So long as it comes back online and my balance isn't 0, I'll be content.

Was this maintenance posted ahead of time? I don't really follow bitmaintalk too much because I can't read Hanzi

If it was one of you shit pasters on here that did all this then you should be worried...
....Josh will find you....

And do what exactly? What exactly will Mr. Garza do if he finds them? My screencap and local FBI bureau's website is awaiting your response.

Bitch.

Item C. 11 from the Subpoena.

"For each investor identified in response to Item 8 above, all Documents Concerning the investment of (or other use of) those funds by GAW, the terms of the investments, and the current location of investor funds."

That's a doozy

So is Item C. 6

"Documents sufficient to disclose all domestic and foreign bank, brokerage, or other financial accounts, including bitcoin or Paycoin wallets, held by or on behalf of GAW from January 1, 2014."

I guess Ganza's church buddies will be relying on the power of prayer to get them out of this one.

Now that it is proving out to be a scam, can you claim compensation from his attorney? Any recourse to be able to tell him to go fuck himself at the end of the day?

I'm pretty sure you ALWAYS have the option to go tell someone to go fuck themselves at the end of the day Smiley

The onus on a libel/slander charge is on the person to prove that what you are saying is false. So far as I know, GAW hasn't proven themselves to be legit.
594  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: March 04, 2015, 05:17:35 PM
AFAIK those of us who bought into GAW didn't get salaries, dividends, or capital gains.

Oh, but we did. That's kind of the point. At least the ZenPool "mining" involved market activites, which means we were getting a share of capital gains.

"Mining" ZenPool was a form of investment. That's why it was illegal.

But there's the rub though. What we were sold was sold as mining capacity (specifically, a "cloud miner"). It wasn't until the downfall of zen that it became really clear that it was actually a derivative. Until then there wasn't much difference between what was being sold (a "virtual" miner) and if we purchased a physical miner and pointed it at a particular pool.

GAW running zenpool was illegal, but people thinking they were buying mining capacity in good faith most likely wasn't. IANAL but it seems to fail to provide any mens rea. And being a customer doesn't automatically make you an investor. If I go to walmart and buy a roll of toilet paper, am I now an investor?

The ICO is a different story, but again, GAW stated several times that they were working with regulatory authorities through the process to ensure compliance. So again, customers should be safe.

I still maintain that they most likely want the information to see how many individuals were definitively impacted. That kind of information is important in determining punitive damages against GAW. Also if GAW can't provide all of the information with proof, they are in violation of "know your customer" laws that a lot of MSB's have to maintain.

I'm curious if cryptsy or bittrex got a subponea, especially cryptsy since Vern opened up a USD/XPY market...

I think cryptsy is a registered MSB, so they most likely did. I don't think they'll be in trouble since they were operating on a good-faith basis with GAW. This is just a guess though.

Have to wonder if the interns or aides at the SEC who have to sift through all this shit giggle when they catalog forum user names with real names. Then check for outstanding warrants and wanted lists and no fly lists and whatever else they do with the data? Should remember that for the future make a respectable user name in case the feds come a knocking.

lol, at least mine is pretty consistent with my actual name.

My guess is that they're going to be most interested in folks who were actively trying to pump the coin and get folks to buy into the coin.
It wouldn't make sense to go after joe-schmoe zencloud customer unless they're a really huge fish, and even then it would be the IRS who would be interested, not the SEC. SEC is usually just looking for securities fraud or regulatory breaches. I don't know what kind of message passing the two have.

So I'm thinking that their interest is to see how many singular people were impacted by GAW's lies more than it is to track down everyone. I know there were a ton of folks who had multiple accounts, so that would explain the need for a legitimate name behind each.

For some reason this reminds me of when the SEC went after Vonage for their botched IPO, except vonage wasn't a scam. They just had a CEO who didn't understand securities law.

Anyone who bought anything from Gaw, Paycoin, Paybase, Zen, their names addresses tel. no, forum user names, etc must be submitted to the SEC

How to get out of this mess?

Pretty sure by investors they mean partners of the business. That's why in the same request they also require salary/dividend/capital gains info for each person.

AFAIK those of us who bought into GAW didn't get salaries, dividends, or capital gains.

Scroll down, page 11, #16 and #18, "Documents sufficient to identify all Persons who purchased PayCoin from GAW...", both during the ICO and after.

Paul and Vlad, the SEC owns you both  Grin

Ah damn, I must have missed that in the walls of text. Looks like they've got my name, though I'm not sure how GAW could have complied. To my knowledge all I ever gave them was a name and credit card info, and some bitcoin. No SSN, no proof of ID, etc. Pretty squarely in violation of "know your customer" laws if that is what their purpose was for.

Oh well, they can pass the info on to the IRS and I can get a tax writeoff. Smiley

Does anybody know if GAW complied with the SEC subpoena?  The deadline was 27th February.

I wonder if they have to include information about people who were banned from both hashtalk and zencloud, effectively stealing their money? That would be a pretty huge NONO.

Still shilling away, eh vlad? I may be a newbie in these parts but I'm pretty positive that the leaked emails have not been 'disproved'. Even if all the other things are fake those are pretty damning, for somebody who claims to be such a wise investor you sure do an excellent job of appearing to be a complete moron. I just hope there aren't any poor souls taking advice from you at the moment, they'd all have halved their investments just like you did.

HAHA JUST KIDDING I SUCK COCKS

Let your freak flag fly, Vlad.
