2421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just luck on: February 13, 2022, 10:12:49 PM
Probably, just newbie luck since you said no experience in this sector. Just learn the basics of trading altcoins and do your best for gaining more experience, don't throw away your hard-earned money in shitcoins. Low marketcap altcoins aka meme or shitcoins have potential 10x 100x but the bear market session can also melt your balance faster than the blink of an eye. Don't rely on luck, learn the professional trading strategies, money management, and analysis tools instead of blindly buying shitcoins, IMHO.
I really don't think OP doesn't have any trading background for at least having the basic knowledge coz he even knows that he is trading meme coins. I agree that was a piece of luck for him to earn a huge profit with the use of meme coins. Well, that is something that happens to any of us but if we are checking the market trend very often, I think we can somehow not miss a chance to sell our coins is the most favorable price.
That is good for him actually, but OP I'd just warn you to be more careful in the next top-up especially if you still choosing meme coins.
2422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto-Currency in Africa on: February 13, 2022, 01:56:55 PM
It is true that Internet access or coverage in Africa is poor compare to other Western countries. But it is not only the Internet that is the problem of Africa people to adopt bitcoin. Another problem is information and mindset. When the government has spoilt the mindset of the people and the people does not get good information.
I am saying this is because the number of people using Facebook in Africa is high. You cannot use Facebook without Internet. That mean some people use their own internet to do other things.
Not all countries in Africa don't have a poor Internet access, it's just that Western ideas and perspective are drilled in our heads that it's what we think. Corruption and civil unrest might contribute to that problem but other than that I think that if we see more African countries improve and grow, we will eventually see more crypto growth in the country because it already has a people that uses crypto there.
Corruption and bad leadership are big factors of getting behind for the development and economic growth, and this is very common to the majority. But Africans had made their way to adopt crypto despite those things and even having a slow internet connection they will still be able to survive.
So why not these people don't quit from crypto? This is because they'll know that this could help them to earn money and even just having an intermittent internet connection couldn't stop them.
2423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: February 13, 2022, 12:25:34 PM
IMO, I call that fight as a scam in these modern times.
LOL, it's a scam because of the hype and it did not happen. Just relax mate, that's normal these days, either you scam or you get scammed, the good thing is that we don't pay for the fight, we only watch them for free so they can't take our money, however, if there's a chance the fight will happen, I would still gladly watch it.
2424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Martinez - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 13, 2022, 11:56:57 AM
Donaire for instance have tried to go up in weight but was knock out.
That was really wrong decision for him, but at least he tried although he failed. Donaire is now a champion and maybe soon we will see him having a rematch with Inoue as these two boxers could attract the crowd. Ancajas is still young, he is making his own name so let's hope him success and he should win his battle.
2425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be a wise investor on: February 13, 2022, 10:34:26 AM
Yes, I agree. Don't let investing and expecting too much in a project actually make us lose the real essence of life. Wealth is only a means to live life, the most important thing is to be happy in life.
There is one of my favorite quotes about treasures, namely "don't put treasure in your heart because with it treasure can enslave you, put treasure in your hands and you are the master of your treasure"
Maybe you are right but if you want to succeed from investing in crypto, you should be strong enough to risk more and always think to win and earn money. Whether we like it or not, money is very important now, you can be happier to have that thing in life and that is the reason why work hard and take risks. Actually, we can't live now without money as this is the tool for us to survive.
Wise investors have a bigger chance to succeed while weak people don't.
2426  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Authy and Google Authenticator Setup on: February 12, 2022, 10:24:09 PM
Hi.  I would like to set up authy and google authenticator on gemini and coinbase.  I use iphone and use IOS.

I'm not sure if there is a conflict between the two but for me, having any of these two we are already safe. I'd used Google Authenticator for my account and it was fine. But I see a problem with this if I lost my phone as I didn't save the backup/recovery files to access just in case. Now, I was thinking to disable it and enable back to get the recovery phrases if that is possible to get a new one.
Well, the use of email verification will give help just in case 2FA won't work.

I was surfing the forum today and I came across this thread

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0

Its actually names scam accusation thread, many newbies might not know how important this thread is but I've seen few projects getting exposed in this thread, if you are looking for new projects and you have some doubts about the project take your time to check this thread maybe there is a scam accusation already going on.
As a part of your research to a certain project, visiting this thread is a need for you to sure that they don't have bad claims. But please be reminded that this is not enough to say that it was safe and we can assure you that this particular project won't scam you either coz many projects looks look and promising at the start but they end up like scamming, an exit scam.
Well, at least visiting the scam accusations board gives you some insights and got aware of the projects that have bad reputations already so we can avoid them.
2428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 12, 2022, 01:04:14 PM
James Harden still hasn't started to play at 76ers. They played a home game against Thunder last night and won. There is some kind of feeling in me that Harden will be more successful there. I mean the team will perform better compared to Harden's time at Nets. I'm still hoping Harden to win at least one title. He has had a great career in terms of individual statistics so far. But he has won zero title unfortunately. We will see if he will make it at 76ers.
That's nice, at least you think positive, actually, James Harden is a good player, he is a real MVP because his first season with the Nets was good if he was not injured. I guess this move is great for the Nets and the Sixers, Harden will be more effective in a team that does not have a lot of superstar.
Yeah, I witness the success of the Nets early last season, but due to the injuries of Irving and Harden, their playoffs weren't successful (not as we all expected). According to the news, ( https://www.nba.com/news/76ers-wait-on-james-hardens-debut-following-trade-with-nets),, there's no specific game where James Harden will have his debut with the 76ers, but I expect that he will have an impressive first game.
2429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 12, 2022, 12:40:20 PM
I bet also tried that several times especially for Rigo but he didn't succeed as Rigo didn't bite the bait.
Rigo knows the power of Casimero, and for sure if he gets toe to toe because he fights with his emotion, that fight could have ended in a KO and it will be Rigo who will be laying on the canvas. That fight was a boring one, not worth remembering, so I expect to see a better fight in this fight, let the KO be displayed again.

That is what exactly Casimero wants to happen, that Rigo will let his emotion be displayed but the dude was smart enough to endure Casimero's provocative mouth and set his course not to let Casimero near him as it could be dangerous or worse, it will be his last move.

It was indeed a boring fight, not worth remembering but because of Rigo's foolishness, it will be forever remembered. Lol
Same as you, I expect a better fight this time and a better outcome.

It ended as a boring fight, probably the most boring fight of Casimero's boxing career, but enough for that, Casimero will eventually surprise us again and i believe that will happen in his upcoming fight with Butler, that surprise should be a positive one.
2430  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New and emerging Cryptocurrencies? on: February 11, 2022, 10:39:03 PM
Does anyone know how to monitor new and emerging cryptocurrencies?
I hear about these floats of new cryptocurrencies but have not idea how to know when they're coming.

Thanks
The information can be found on the internet, you can make a search for it. But of course, it is for you to make a background check on the project/s as many of these new projects are worthless. You can also find them on social media. But just to remind you that the market is tricky, you have to be wise enough in investing in new projects.
well, if you are looking for long-term investment, you'd rather not choose them but instead, choose those projects that have been in the market for a long time and are known for their profitability.
2431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin 🐕‍🦺 1$ possible in 2022 or not? on: February 11, 2022, 09:46:39 PM
When Dogecoin lounch, Dogecoin was a common cryptocurrency But over the trailing 14-month stretch, Dogecoin has rallied approximately 5,000%. And it was up considerably more when it hit its all-time high of nearly $0.74 per coin in May 2021.

With a veritable mountain of support behind Dogecoin, enthusiasts and holders believe it could hit $1 per token.

In terms of catalysts, there's probably none bigger than having the world's richest person in your corner. Tesla CEO Elon Musk owns only three cryptocurrencies. One of those happens to be Dogecoin. Musk is no stranger to promoting Dogecoin on social media platforms like Twitter, or posting obscure memes implying that Shiba Inu dogs are "going to the moon." what do you think about dogecoin?

You may not think about it as Doge just got that price close to $1 last year it was because of the influence of EM and got the price boosted but that was done, people had no trust in him anymore, not at all after his doing. If there is another shilling with someone that is more influential compared to EM that might be possible but this meme coin like Doge will only get less interest and the chances is too slim.
And my answer to this is NO! it is better not to think and expect that much as we only just fail.

2433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Martinez - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 11, 2022, 03:08:48 PM
He will continue the winnings that were started by Donaire (although against a fellow Filipino) and the newly crowned World Title holder Mark Magsayo.

Don't you forgot about Jonas Sultan as well, he was a huge underdog against a KO artist - Caraballo. But he knock him down 4 times en route to winning the fight. So Filipino flags waving all over the lower weight division in boxing right now.

If we win when we are an underdog, then most likely we will win when we are the favorite to win.

As for this fight, it was rumored that Ancajas is the favorite to win, I used the word "rumor" because I could not confirm it on betting sites.
Based on this article - https://champinon.info/schedule/ancajas-vs-martinez/#iw-modal.. odds are as follows .

Quote
Latest Odds
Ancajas to win: 1/3
Martinez to win: 2/1
Draw: 23/1

The draw is very attractive too, I'm gonna put a little bet on that odds once it's already available. This odds as you said may not be the real case in the bookie, it still needs to be verified and I think Martinez is just so undervalued here, but it's a good odds for backers.
2434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you make money from meme coins? on: February 10, 2022, 11:28:41 PM
we can get profit on meme coins but we have to buy at the right time a lot I see often people lose with meme coins they lose because they are late buying the meme coin they buy when the meme coin is trending and after buying the price immediately falls, so better stop buying meme coins at trending times and I don't think meme coins is the place to be if you are to hold on long term.

Those who ride Dige and Shiba during its hype certainly make a huge profit but for those who come late and just invest lately, that is something it gives no assurance. Even this thing happens in real life but can't just rely upon meme coins, they are nothing when it comes to market competition, and most of these coins are almost dead already which I think that many investors had lost their money into them.
That is why I'm saying, if we are just about to invest in crypto, we'd rather choose those reliable projects, not these joke/meme coins.

Nice to see that game schedules are out. I miss that "Paper" they are posting on their Facebook when they release the schedule.

This will be a good topic to share here, what do you think guys about the future of NorthPort Batang Pier? Just to give others an idea, their players, Robert Bolick, Greg Slaughter, and Nico Elorde have yet to sign an extension with the Batang Pier.

The PBA is just about a few days to go to commence again but still no progress about these players' respective contracts.

NorthPort have signed Roy Sumang so i think they are filling the spot of the point guard position in case Robert Bolick and Nico Elorde won't be back to their line-up.

Greg Slaughter is a restricted free agent so i think he will be back with NorthPort to man the middle, they just have to offer what's best for this gentle giant and surely he will be back with them.

At least Sumang now are in a decent team, not a championship team but playing with Greg, that would be easy for him and I'm sure he will be more effective as he loves to drive the ball, and with Greg's height, they can get the offensive rebound and also Greg could be ready for the dish.
2436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 09, 2022, 04:50:58 AM
If Casimero is having a hard time adjusting his body in his present weight class why doesn't he move to another class so that he'll get his 100% comfort?

That would probably be the next step if he struggles, however, isn't it nice to see a unification fight between two champions before he will move up? I guess that would really give enough entertainment to the fans as we always like to see this kind of big fight, and Inoue being the beast, should not say no to a challenge from his fellow champion.

CEBU CITY, Philippines — The reigning World Boxing Organization (WBO) bantamweight champion John Riel “Quadro Alas” Casimero returned to has Cebu to kick off his training for his April 23 mandatory title defense in England.
Link: https://cebudailynews.inquirer.net/423526/casimero-sets-up-training-camp-in-cebu-for-april-world-title-defense

This article was released 2 days ago and it seems that Casimero started his trainings already in Mandaue City. IMO, he should train in other place or country to help him focus more without being interfered by the fans and hopefully his medical condition has been dealt already so that he can continue his scheduled trainings without setbacks along the way as he can't afford to stop because the fight date is approaching fast.

I think it's still too early if he will travel to the country where the fight will happen. He can start his training in his country and then when the fight is approaching he can continue the training in England. Good preparation will give him a higher chance of defending his title, but it's always good to see him knocking out Butler, so no bias from the judges.

The biggest mistake Ive ever made with crypto was I took a 1200$ loan in 4th quarter of 2021to invest in a meme coin that later tanked down to 70% loss, I was deluded with 100k BTC by December and also the beginning of a bigger altcoin season, I wish I listened to some advices on here instead of relying on some crazy youtubers, my own crypto journey started with huge loss i hope I will make them back some day, if you are new to crypto do not take me step.
Some had a good experience in meme coins and even make more profit as they were able to ride the hype but those who come and invest late, are those who suffer losses, and that was likely you did.
I fought people not to borrow money for no reason but investing seems to be a reasonable thing but you have made it wrong and fallen into illusion and greed. What I mean is that you have been fooled by these mem coins who promise huge rewards but sadly, it was a big opposite happens to you.

For now, I would not touch any game of the Nets, they are struggling but at the same time I also don't want to bet against them.

Good decision,  just watch them struggle, besides, we can still gamble since we have a lot of games on a daily basis.

Early leans, I have the following bets.

Warriors -12
Jazz -7.5
Heat -5.5

I like the bulls but I'm doubtful against the Phoenix Suns

Great news for us, though we already know that they will resume in the 2nd week of this month but that official news is important for us to stop speculating. Good opening games.

we have Bolts vs Warriors, and in the 2nd game hotshots vs TNT.
My pick would be the NLEX and TNT.

It's hard to decide on this matchup as these are top teams now. As per standing, 3 of the teams are in the top 3 (https://pba.ph/standings), TNT does not have a good start but they are still a good team, so I think I will back the TNT here as they will catch up here so I think they'll win.
