1421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin really the future of money? on: November 21, 2022, 11:17:57 AM
Bitcoin can only be used as an alternative to the national currencies, and bitcoin can not be call the future of money because bitcoin is just an alternative.
But we must also know that Bitcoin is also an asset that has value and is also volatile, so Bitcoin can be taken to be a global asset and should only be used for trances border currency and devoid of any form of control by the Government or an individual, this is why Bitcoin is called the decentralized currency with a speculative price.
The whole perspective of Bitcoins was to make it a popular digital good. It wasn’t created to use as a currency. I mean Bitcoins are limited in number, and this makes Bitcoins valuable. So why the hell will someone trade with Bitcoins, when he have other options other than saving Bitcoins? According to me, if anyone wants to take full advantage of Bitcoins, then he shouldn’t giveaway or trade the Bitcoins too often. Just save it and when time comes definitely while selling you will make the maximum profit out of it.
That is because they consider Bitcoin as a trading currency, not a valuable thing that they have to hold long-term. They might think that trading is more profitable than just holding and selling during Bullrun. However, I don't mind if people will value and appreciate Bitcoin as currency because not all will understand the purpose of its creation. Some will consider this as an investment while some as currency but overall, we still make Bitcoin grow, yet in a different way.
1422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are crypto devs so greedy on: November 21, 2022, 09:50:43 AM
It's the ways of the world, that's the answer. Human greed is an element in any venture, whether crypto or non-crypto, not just devs. So if have an upcoming project, always watch it closely, and keep your coins closer

Yeah, don't try to blame the developers when we ourselves are doing the same thing, we are just as greedy as them. When participating in a project, our goal is only to buy low and sell high and so are they. It can be said that the market is like a game where whoever is quick will win. The market is extremely fierce, no one will lose to anyone, there will be no game where both will win.
Besides they become greedy because they themselves that they can do it with the help of greedy investors as well.
Of course, they are doing this to make a profit and sad thing is that people never understand their side and will then just say they are greedy. Because I was also a project developer, I will never hesitate to do the same thing because that is the reality when it comes to business. It could be sorry for those who can't accept, they might wanted to become more greedy than these developers.
1423  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What happened with crypto? on: November 21, 2022, 09:23:53 AM
snip...
Since you have been part of this forum since 2013 I suppose you have an idea of what it is going on even if it is difficult to accept, the price crashed at the end of 2021 and then all kind of disasters have been hitting this market, some of them are just unexpected events which took everyone by surprise like the war, but there have been several projects which have mismanaged the funds of their clients and which have caused the market to suffer several setbacks.
And I'm not sure if he is able to understand it because of his reaction, he is totally thinking of always a climbing price and he forgets about the volatility of the market.

Anyways, the situation isn't new for me. Yes, there are a lot of people who will never accept reality. I think that OP has gone many years ago because of being mad with the market and now, he turns back the same. Because he could only understand the situation, I would really say that he will never leave crypto.
1424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: November 20, 2022, 01:54:14 PM
I just think of this;

- Errol Spence dominating his opponent when he return to the ring after a near-death car crash
- Keith Thurman dominating his opponent after 2 years rest

I don't like to put Science here but Spence experienced a worst but still a dominant fighter after he almost seen the door of the heaven on that car crash. Don't get me wrong and take that as a humor. Smiley

I like the comparison and we all know that event with the life of Spence and even with that experienced when come back he still dominate and still have the title under his belt, though Thurman is also a type of fighter which aiming to have that shot and strip the title from Spence if given a chance he will really do everything to claim it.

I'm sure unlike before when he faces Pacquiao, Thurman will be more careful and prepare now,

He will take that experience to grow and mature, though I'm sure trash talk still needed to bring something when they are both inside the ring.

I'm not totally impressed with his performance because Danny Garcia and Yordenis Ugas are not an a level fighter for me. If he really think he believe that he can reign in his division, then he should allow an undisputed fight with Crawford people will stop talking and speculating anymore.

I think if he will beat Thurman then you'll be impressed. By far, I believe Thurman is his biggest rival although Thurman is not a champion if he wins this fight, then there's a reason why he can choose not to fight Crawford and just go on with his other plan. For now, Crawford and Spence are the best in their division, but we cannot force these boxers to fight if they won't agree to.
1425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 20, 2022, 01:28:31 PM
The number 1 and number 2 seed of the West is playing right now.
Despite Utah Jazz playing back-to-back games they still look energetic and are in a good lead against the Portland Trail Blazers.

I am amazed though how big of a change these Trail Blazers become. The addition of Jerami Grant is a game-changer and so does their rookie Shaedon Sharpe who has been stepping up his game whenever he is given more minutes.
Now Dame will just need to be healthy all season long to preserve their winning momentum. Their bench is deep but it's still better if he is present.

The Utah Jazz won and retained its position as the top seed in the western conference. I was thinking that their start of the season lead was a fluke but here they are again still battling against all odds. Sometimes I think, that coaches should remind their players of their current stats. Early in the game Lillard and Simons wasted a lot of positions by throwing a lot of failed threes. Together they combined 5 out of 25.

Portland Trailblazers is a playoff team now with Jerami Grant and Gary Payton II.

An entertaining game against the two conference leaders, I was under the impression that Blazers will win it like a blowout as they are playing inside their home court.

Got a good start in the first quarter but Jazz bounce and rally in the 2nd quarter, both teams
are eager to win so that exchanges of rallies from time to time are really something that the
fans will love to watch. Clarkson again shows his best and helps escape this game against
the Blazers.

The best season for Clarkson so far, in that game, he took over in the 4th quarter to give the Jazz a comfortable lead, it looks like he already is the main man of the team, the previous 6th man of the year will likely become an all star this season. Their chemistry is really impressive, you can tell by looking at the scores distribution, I mean everyone is contributing on the floor.
1426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching my nephew about Bitcoin on: November 20, 2022, 12:56:13 PM
Well, 11 years old is not already old enough to learn about crypto, about Bitcoin. But as long as your nephew is interested in this, I believe it was the perfect time to teach him. In fact, a lot of people/parents are doing this already but we are not sure and have no update on the results. I know it was a great idea but I'm not sure if it is really productive.

It can be techy you know and it takes time. I think it was best for OP to teach him in a very simple way so it can be easy for him to understand and at least start the basics.
1427  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So many good news but Market and coins don't go up on: November 20, 2022, 11:53:48 AM
Might have but never I notice it because what is see is more on Binance and FTX drama OP.
Or might I've missed them but sadly, the good news that you have seen aren't good enough to gain attention in the community as they are more interesting on the negative side.

You might wonder why we are still in the bear market, yet we can't simply change the course of the trend until Bitcoin does the rally first.
The bull season will come soon...don't worry about it as you could still earn profit as long as you will wait.
1428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The market will come back bigger again on: November 19, 2022, 09:56:43 PM
That is what we thought about crypto and we believe about the history repeat itself. That is why people are still buying despite of the bear situation because they are too positive that one day the market will recover and give them rewards. Buy and Hold...

2017, 2021, next. It is very certain that Bullrun will come again and ain't hopeless to see another ATH.
What we need is to extend our patience and keep strong from not getting distracted by negative news.
1429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 19, 2022, 12:19:13 PM

Quite a close game. Holiday is playing that makes the playing field even. Tyrese Maxey is injured but the game is still close. The sixers are on top by  5 points as this is writing with 2 minutes left in the game. This could still go anyway but the Sixers have the momentum. Joel Embiid is a monster right now, picking up the slack that Maxey and Harden have left because of their absence.

Edit: Philadelphia Sixers won 110 -102

It was really a close game, and the bucks started strong but before that Giannis was blocked by Embiid, but yeah Joel Embiid has done it again, getting those needed plays for the team now that James Harden was absent due to injury, but the Bucks surely has many injuries that cut their progress in making a good team play,

It's always interesting to watch matches when players like Embiid and Giannis compete against each other. Embiid's performance was really great, especially in the second half. Moreover, he was close to making a triple-double, and that's what allowed him to surpass Giannis this time. As for that Embiid's block shot, it looked powerful, and I'd even say it was the most memorable moment of the match.

We need that kind of Embiid in the playoffs so they can advance to the NBA Finals. His performance was really great as despite not having James Harden in that game, they still manage to beat a powerhouse team like the Bucks.  Maxey has to be consistent with his great contribution while Harden is still out.

1430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: November 19, 2022, 11:27:11 AM

Meanwhile, the WBC mandated 122 WBO/WBC champ Stephen Fulton to rematch Brandon Figueroa at 126 for the WBC interim belt. Should Fulton accepts the mandate, his 2 122 belts might become vacant which is a good opportunity for Casimero and even for Inoue. Maybe Casimero and Inoue will fight for a vacant belt right away.

This is good news for both Inoue and Casimero as they have vacant belts which they can look forward to even if they don't meet right away.

I hope this will happen, for sure Inoue will go for that belt and if Casimero will be the best challenger for him, that would make the fight perfect as their supposed fight did not happen in the bantamweight division but it will happen in a heavier division. I'm looking forward to this, let us keep updated on this news, and thanks for sharing by the way.
1431  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Biggest reason why you dont make profit first on: November 19, 2022, 10:48:55 AM
So you see your Brain works by motivation you make better decisions naturally with good motivation.

So instead of small profits wait and attack Big you make enough and you dont have to Shamed about your life you can say to friends you make money in trading.
I'm thinking that bitcoin will reach $1M soon and that's how big I am thinking and there could be others that are thinking that it will surpass that price in the next several years.
I'm motivated to see the higher prices and honestly, it's all really about your mindset. Like those that are thinking that this bear market is no help to them, they don't see that it's an accumulation period. While the experienced ones, they think of this bear market as the best time to buy.
Ohh, let's people have to think like that, being motivated. Yet, it was just in our minds but not coming to reality.
Perhaps, that is what I see from OP. He'll come and think that putting a huge amount of money into trading will help him reach his target. If he is right, he can be a millionaire for just a year in trading.

I see my friend trading but he tells me the truth, earning a profit in trading isn't easy. Of course, he tells me that he earns some but not all the time. So, therefore, we can't assure that our plan and target will achieve.
1432  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: investing for beginners must be large capital or small capital. on: November 19, 2022, 07:37:10 AM

yes, you, suggestions are very good and also input from other friends is also very good. and now I understand quite a bit. so the point is that in investing our have to with the capital that our want and of course our with to be willing to take risks, if our experience a loss.
Yes, if you can afford to lose huge amounts, then make use of it as long as it was invested in profitable projects. Because investing is not only about capital but also about a choice of coins and usually, this is where the majority has failed due to investing hype projects and high offerings.
But until we don't have enough knowledge about the market, it was best to keep on the minimum amount as capital for safety. Honestly, it was really hurt if you lose on your first attempt.
1433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is here to stay. on: November 18, 2022, 09:48:20 PM
Crypto is here to stay.
In the future maybe become as alternative for cash. Many think it will become the alternative for digital payment, yes... but maybe only for cash transactions that are no longer possible in the future? In Germany, there are a few banks that no longer offer cash in the stations. If more banks follow, where will you get the Cash over the next few years? From private sales and how do you turn cash into digital? Bitcoin is an alternative.
It was expected to become an alternative to fiat money - that is really what it meant to be. However, the adoption isn't as fast as we think, it is very slow due to people aren't ready yet. Yes, some countries are already adopting a such form of payment but as we can see, the majority were still relying on fiat. Let us say that major cities and countries have used this already but for sure many people continue to hold and use cash themselves.
1434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: November 18, 2022, 05:54:37 PM
It appears the sportsbooks are listing Tank Davis as the favorite. However, this is only the beginning. The odds might change when the fans from Mexico and the women start betting hehehehe.
For sure it will make a huge difference if the women will vote for the favorite LOL. I think Davis has high chance to defeat Garcia but everyone knows how explosive Garcia too so this wouldn't just be an easy feat for Davis. I think this fight is huge and a proper marketing would surely get some boxing fanatics.

I doubt the odds will change, but I like the odds for Ryan Garcia as he has very attractive odds. I know some are criticizing him but this fight is going to be his biggest challenge and I'm willing to risk my bet on him because I'm tempted with the odds. Also, I'm thinking of betting on Ryan Garcia winning by KO once the odds are out.
1435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 18, 2022, 04:51:58 PM

Bam Adebayo is questionable to play.
Washington Wizards vs Miami Heat - Heat -1.5 @2.07 - Wizards are strong but let's see what they can do against a defensive team like Miami.

I'll be tailing this pick, I like the heat on the road and the spread is very low so it will likely be covered if they'll win. Even if Bam will not play, I guess Heat can handle the Wizards, besides, their home wins record is not that impressive.
1436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 18, 2022, 04:33:07 PM

On the other hand, looks like NLEX getting Coach Frankie Lim as their head coach isn't working as the team are now in a 5-game losing streak. They might still clinch the playoffs at the bottom 8 if they will win on their last 2 games and other teams will lose. In PBA conference, you need at least 6 wins to have a higher chance to advance to the playoffs.

That's very evident, but if you look at the rain or shine as well, they are struggling also, so probably this is just part of the transition period as the new head coach is just trying to build a system and a chemistry that would be working for the team. This is just one conference, there's still more to come, so hopefully both teams mentioned will improve.
1437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jermell Charlo vs Tim Tszyu - Jan 28, 2023 on: November 17, 2022, 01:49:06 PM
What a way to start the year by having two tough fighters I consider both fighters undefeated Charlo's loss was a fluke he is still one of the most dominating fighters in his division, but Tszyu is capable to wrest the title I have seen Tszyu fight on Youtube one of this is a knockout win against Jeff Horn his fighting style is very much similar to his father, my heart goes to Tszyu but I feel that Charlo has everything to keep the title, he is a more experienced fighter and have fought big names already.

Obviously, this bout is not any other champion vs the underdog fight because we all know that Tszyu can actually turn the table once he feels that he can take Charlo's punches. it just seems like they might gonna give us a more exciting fight than Crawford's next fight. Anyway, I think most of the spectators have already assumed that this fight will be easy for Charlo cause he was already able to overcome most fights like this but he needs to consider not slacking off because Tim can actually knock him out.

Ah yeah, I think compare to Crawford next fight, I think this is more exciting. Nothing against Crawford picking up Avanesyan, but he is a unknown fighter for us.

As compare to Tim Tszyu, who's father is a legend in boxing and has to work his way up to challenge Charlo at 154 lbs.

So we will have to see, Tim is known for his durability, although I'm not counting him as a knock out artist, but he can still deliver a win thru the old and traditional way of hard grind in the full 12 rounds.

12 rounds of the fight would be great, hopefully, we will see a toe to toe fight as these fighters are known to be aggressive. At the opening of the year, we will see a firework, and although most of us think that Jermell Charlo will win but please let us not underestimate Tim Tszyu because he has a heart of a champion.
1438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: November 17, 2022, 01:13:33 PM
You know what I'll wait on this match? And that is the hype of Thurman and that's the same thing that he has done when he was against Pacman.

It'll bring more hype to this match if he'll do the same marketing as those words that he has said on how confident he is to beat Spence on defending his title.

And when this match is done, is there still possibility that Spence will fight Crawford?

Yes, I think Thurman has still the hype behind his name, although his performance against Barrios is a lot to be question because Barrios is not a legitimate welterweight and he chooses him as his comeback fight. Obviously, he won and then he went on another hiatus.

But this time, for sure Thurman will hype this fight like he did against Manny Pacquiao. He is also a gifted "talker". So who knows, maybe he will sell this fight through his mouth again.

Forget about Spence vs Crawford.

Of course, boxing fans know about Thurman and how brave he is in fighting Pacman. Although he loss he entertained the crowd by giving Pacman a good fight, that's why fans will never forget what he did and now that he is on his way to becoming a champion again, I think he will not miss this opportunity.
1439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto on the way to destruction? on: November 17, 2022, 12:13:54 PM
Yea Bitcoin will recover again with time and hit the bull market no matter the challenge in the the crypto market presently. The dip of Bitcoin is not new because history is repeating itself again those who don't have confidence and understanding on their investment are the ones that are selling their Bitcoin holdings due to panic.

This is the time for a bitcoiner to buy more Bitcoin at a lower price and hold to it till when it hits the bull market again before selling it if at all. Bitcoin has come to stay so if you sell your holdings now you will be among those that will regret your actions later. Always save your Bitcoin in a noncustodial wallet where thieves can not break into and steal.
And it was unfortunate that many were still not convinced about it. Many had thought that once the market is in correction, a collapse will going to happen next. Yes, I tend to agree that history will repeat itself (sometimes) and we are facing it again. However, despite the negative views we have seen and heard from hopeless people, we're still here trusting and believing that one day the market will turn back to bullish again.

By now and hold - we celebrate later.
1440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not Quitting only a break on: November 14, 2022, 11:55:00 AM
It depends on how they can treat gambling. If they want to have fun with gambling, they don't have to play for too long, and when they feel like they are getting fun, they should immediately stop and leave the gambling place before they are tempted to use their other money to gamble.

Not many people can say I am done with gambling, which makes many people sink into gambling until they become addicted to gambling. We must try not to be like them by always limiting the time and money we use for gambling so that we will not become addicted.
Most of the time it started with having fun but at the time they win, then they become motivated and start thinking that there is easy money in gambling that turns them to gamble more. Now, they become addicted, and sadly, they lose more.

What next? The more they gamble and lose, the more they aim to recover their losses. And in the end, they become broke and empty their pocket, and compromise their financial status.
