2462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who manages the bitcoin server ?? on: December 27, 2021, 11:28:08 PM
Okay, let me respond one by one ..

First thing First, I am not using Dude or Bro, as such i am not friends with someone and if not you, others may get offended..

Why would anyone be offended if you addressed someone with "bro" or "dude"? It's a cultural thing. According to that logic, the same can be said for "sir" as well.

Secondly, lets just stick to point of the code being onto a server, with my little knowledge, there's no rocket science in understanding that just by simply writing the code and putting it on Github will not make the process working , and if we download the bitcoin core client for the first time, it may not be of any use unless the code is on any server to respond to the request or call it mining or anything else related to bitcoin node...

The peer-to-peer network does not have dedicated servers or clients. All nodes (clients) are treated equally and can act as a client or a server at any instance.

I understand that OP has not been active on the forum for a long time, but if he is still reading this I have found another curated list of resources for the blockchain development that might be of interest to him:
The Best Blockchain Development Resources On Medium

The article is split into the following sections:
1. How To Become A Blockchain Developer
2. Ethereum Smart Contracts
3. Ethereum DApps
4. Ethereum Ecosystem
5. Other Blockchains
2464  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CoinsData - 🚀Portfolio tracker, alerts, widgets, news, heatmap🔥 on: December 26, 2021, 11:36:05 PM
Last time I checked Delta app was also free and I didn't have to submit anything for normal use, but that was long time ago and maybe something changed meanwhile.

As you say, maybe something has changed meanwhile, but the last time I used the Delta app there were limitations in the free version. I am not entirely sure, but I think I could not create more than 2 wallet connections in my portfolio tracker.
2465  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: December 26, 2021, 11:32:36 PM
Noticed a common trend related to 1xbit in recent times.

1xbit signature campaign starts -> Participants shill -> Participants stop shilling once the payments stop completely and wait for the current campaign to restart or a fresh new campaign.

Plus point here is that this basically implies that majority or all of these shills will most probably abandon this forum once these 1xbit signature campaigns shut down completely which could happen in the near future.

Most or all of these shills are most likely alt accounts that will be abandoned when the campaigns end. The same happened with Adkinsbet casino and many others. History repeats itself over and over.
2466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can doge coin reach 1$ this year? on: December 26, 2021, 11:00:26 PM
I think you expect too much with Dogecoin, the chances of Dogecoin bolting to $1 are very heavy.
~

In my opinion, Dogecoin is a great coin that deserves to be around and I am not sure why it isn't used more, particularly for gambling. But I don't see a future where DOGE will be worth $1. That seems a bit overrated to me.

However, I don't understand the reason you brought this old thread back to life? You responded to a post that is several months old and the original poster has not been active in a long time.
2467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain Bitcoin to Newbies on: December 26, 2021, 10:48:44 PM
Explaining bitcoin to the newbies is really a difficult task and specially to those who are unaware of the Digital technology. Those who are having a little knowledge about the crypto world or the Digital technology are easy to tackle and to explain about the bitcoin.

Someone who is "unaware of the digital technology"? I am not sure I have encountered someone like that in my lifetime. Maybe you meant people who are not accustomed to digital technology? In this case, it is true, it is difficult to explain cryptocurrency to someone who does not use at least the basics of modern technology.
2468  Economy / Gambling / Re: Very immoral marketing strategy. on: December 26, 2021, 10:40:34 PM
You are very right about that. What's the purpose of going to casino? It is not about looking for someone to hook up. So one should not distracted by this kind of promotion of the casino via attractive streamers or endorsers. You should look what's in store for you as a player. Check their provable fairness, or if there's any negative feedback towards them. Because at the end of the day, it is the decision of the player to play on the site. You all have the privilege to choose where you want to spend your money.

Well, that is true. But the first thing the casino wants is to attract visitors to their platform. The company believes that "attractive streamers or endorsers" are the "first step" to attracting visitors who are likely to spend more in their casino. This is an active strategy, and we can see its effects throughout the entire casino ecosystem. As digital influencers try to get more subscribers, the big casinos have all rushed to get an influencer as a paid partner. While influencer marketing is still relatively new, it's a fast-growing field.
2469  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Which programming language to choose? on: December 26, 2021, 10:13:09 PM
Maybe he should start with learning "programming", not learning "programming language"?
I mean - learn how to build a algorithms, how to construct/define loops and conditions.

Maybe you have a point. While the OP mentioned that it had very little technical skills and no coding skills, I believe everything can be learned with the right approach. There are some programming languages that are more suitable for beginners without prior programming experience. For example, Python and PHP are ideal languages for beginners and very easy to learn.
2470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: has bitcoin achieved its goal? on: December 26, 2021, 07:26:36 PM
Even from the start, there was never a clearly defined goal for what bitcoin was to become. It's creator(s) and devs certainly had an idea of what they would like to see, but such a goal was never predefined.

Parts of the whitepaper suggest what bitcoin was meant to fix, but there was never any criteria laid out as to what this would look like.

What do you mean, "there was never a clearly defined goal"? I think it is pretty clear from the title of the whitepaper what its primary goal is.
Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System.

I believe bitcoin has achieved its goal and serves a purpose regardless of its current value. And I believe bitcoin has matured and is now ready for mainstream adoption.
2471  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Which programming language to choose? on: December 26, 2021, 07:05:39 PM
There are many disagreements regarding which programming language is the best choice for developers. Some people argue that all are equally good for developers, but this discussion is rarely taken seriously. That is because there are many different arguments about which language is best.
Most people end up picking their favorite and go on to learn it well. The developers who learn Java, JavaScript, and Ruby will end up far ahead of those who pick C++, for example. However, I believe that choosing a programming language is too important to get wrong. More important, I think that the choice of programming language has a significant impact on the development process and the initial requirements of a project. This impacts the design, building and quality of the initial product. It also affects how the product should be kept up to date with new developments.

There is an interesting article on this topic from Columbia Engineering Boot Camps which I think is good to read: Best Programming Languages for Finance & FinTech in 2022

1. Python
Quote
Python is a popular fintech language because it’s simple, flexible, and one of the easiest coding languages to learn — especially for beginners. Professionals use the language in a variety of industries and, as a result, more than 51 percent of hiring managers look for candidates who know Python, according to HackerRank.

2. Java
Quote
Java is the top-ranked programming language in finance, according to HackerRank, for reasons that mirror its general cross-industry popularity. The language has a friendly learning curve, can handle significant amounts of data, and boasts rigid security features.

3. C++
Quote
C++ is considered very fast, in part because it is a compiled language, meaning that a compiler translates its code to machine language. Since the computer requires less translation to understand the code you’re writing, it operates more efficiently.

4. C#
Quote
C# is an important language for companies that build applications on Microsoft’s .NET development framework. The language was created specifically for the framework, making app-builds easy and secure. It also benefits from a huge user community and library of tools.

5. Ruby
Quote
Ruby is a free, open-source language that launched in 1995. Ruby’s popularity grew with the development of the Ruby on Rails framework, which is used widely in developing web applications.
Ruby shares many programming traits important to fintech — notably speed, security, and flexibility.

2472  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I grow my Crypto Bag without trading on: December 26, 2021, 06:33:33 PM
So, are there ways to increase my bag without Trading?

Yes there are many techniques to increase your wealth without trading like buying a coin and then holding it for certain period of time (hodling). There is another technique called DCA dollar cost averaging where you keep buying satoshis for a day, week or month.

https://dcabtc.com/

Yes, in the DCA (Dollar Cost Average) method, hodler will undoubtedly gain the most. It is one of the best methods, although many people do not like it because it requires patience. When I first started investing through this DCA method, I also thought it would be challenging to make regular weekly investments, but with time I found that it was very interesting and profitable as well.

In fact, I don't think this kind of gift is for everyone.

Yes, I agree, Bitcoin is not for everyone. Some people will never understand it or believe in it, and that is fine. During the 1990s, many people did not believe in the internet, email, smartphones, social media, or digital photography. Today, they do not believe in AI, smart homes, self-driving cars, or cryptocurrencies.
That does not mean we should stop trying to educate and enlighten people, or prevent them from becoming aware of new technology and innovations that could change our world. For instance, I myself learned about Bitcoin from my friends and colleagues. When I realized how the technology works and how many benefits it could bring, it just clicked with me. I knew I had to learn more, and I am glad I did.
2475  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Introduce someone to Bitcoin, the best gift for this season on: December 26, 2021, 10:01:30 AM
Give Bitcoin as a Christmas gift if you are short on time. Bitcoin is perfect for last-minute Christmas gifts.
In the case that your contact does not have a Bitcoin wallet and does not have an address to which you can send bitcoins, the easiest way is to generate it for them and write a seed phrase on paper or in a Christmas card. Even though it is generally not a good idea to trust someone else with creating your wallet, in this case it doesn't matter since you are the one giving the wallet as a gift. To do this, you may need to write down the steps required to access the Bitcoin wallet.

If somebody is already using our app - please write your requests.
Time to time we can post here our roadmap and announcements of next releases' features.

As an alternative to the existing portfolio tracking apps, which are usually very limited in their free versions, it would be nice to have one that is completely free. I hope you can fill that gap. Anyway, I wish you luck with the product and I hope it will be widely used and supported by the customers.

Sorry, but I'm not convinced. You have referred to the old model and those investigation in the distant past are known for me.  Now they have completely new model i.e. Ellipal Titan which is recognized widely as the most secure HW wallet (DYOR).  They clearly indicated that

To be honest, they claimed the same thing a few years ago when they were selling a PCB based on a MediaTek SoC from a cheap smartphone disguised as a "most secure" hardware wallet. That was long before Ellipal Titan was developed.
