I vote for placement B or placement D. As I suggested before, this control is related to the user, so if we continue to follow the logic of the existing SMF interface, all controls and information related to the user should be in the left side of the interface. The right side is for posts and post-related controls.

I like it, this can be useful. Could you customize your patch to filter only discussions between two posters? Any idea how that can easily be implemented in the GUI? Maybe using a checkbox and a text link. Something like this: Users can select multiple members using the checkbox, and the filter is activated only after clicking on the link.

I think that this feature is a good idea, and it will be interesting to see this in action. My only suggestion is the placement of the checkbox-like widget. It is too close to the "Report" link. Would it be better to place it in the lower left corner, next to "Ignore"? That seems more logical to me, because it is supposed to do something opposite of what Ignore does.

Poker Player, if you want to add a timestamp to your message, I suggest that you incorporate the block number and the nonce from the last mined block into the message. When you publish the signature/hash of the message, you also publish the block number and nonce that will be in the message. That way, you will have another provable way of confirming when the message was created.
I understand that would confirm that the message was signed at least when that block was mined or after, and not before, but it could have been created after. That is true. That's why I said that you should make the block nonce public along with the digital signature of the message. There is no way to know the nonce of future blocks. But I agree that it's not really necessary, unless you want to add a timestamp to the message. I was away yesterday but I was reading your response and Googled some articles about email security for different email services. I had a wrong idea that Google do PGP encryption but knowing they don't, just broke my trust. You are right most regular email system don't. Protonmail has it as an additional feature, which needs additional setting to enable it in your end. And if the receiver do not have the same setting then they will not be able to read your email. It become complicated when the email is sent to another service instead of proton to proton.
That's right. Most regular email providers use only transport-level encryption, or TLS (SSL) layer over the plaintext communication, which means that the message is protected from eavesdropping only during transit between individual SMTP relays, but not all the way between the sender and the recipient.

Hi Obari! Congrats! I think it was a good start, every journey starts from somewhere. Now is the right time as bitcoin prices are sliding gradually and many think a dip has come for bitcoin. Whether you want a casual investment or one that could potentially turn into a small fortune, this may be your chance to secure a good investment. It may not continue to appreciate as fast as it has been, but for now, it's the most secure and stable option around. Hope you make it big on crypto journey.

The regular email system also use PGP in the back to encrypt the message. From the font we can not see it though.
I do not want to go off-topic, but that is wrong. The majority of "regular" email systems do not use encryption in the backend and all messages are still stored in cleartext form on the servers. Trust me, I was a sysadmin for years.

Option 3: Use your PGP key! It's more secure than any of the options above. Here is how I will do it. ~
This is overcomplicated and unnecessary for the case described by Poker Player. He wants to make the message public after a certain event, so there is no need to encrypt the message. It is sufficient to sign or hash a message and publish its signature/hash in advance, so that anyone can verify, and you don't depend on one or two forum members to confirm the authenticity of your message.

Looks like he updated the bounty topic with some explanation regarding the bounty campaign issues and according to him, he also got scammed. It is a convenient excuse (maybe bounty hunters should check it in the project's TG group) but I wouldn't be surprised that altcoin project refused to pay the bounty when they saw the results. I am sure that bounty managers tell them bunch of crap about effectiveness of bounty campaign in order to sell it, and in the end when clients take a look at the horrendous quality of articles and videos and realize that they got scammed, they refuse to pay.
This is not the first time that this bounty manager has been accused of unethical conduct. It seems to me that he really does not care what projects he promotes or what members he chooses for his campaigns. No wonder he does not want to answer these accusations; as long as the business goes on, who really cares? These projects' owners aren't very bright either, seeing as how most of them are only interested in making a quick buck from the bounty campaigns and their project's ICO, and not in the quality of work that is being done. They do not care about the quality of their own product, let alone that of a bounty campaign and its participants; and they are certainly not concerned with how many people they burn along the way.

You do not need to report fraud, cheating or plagiarism, but if you suspect that someone has committed any of these, please report it, because in that way you will help to keep this site a safe place for everyone. However, there are many other ways to contribute positively to the forum besides reporting violations. The most effective way is through creating good posts in response to others' questions and statements .
This is how I think it works. All you do is be an active member of the forum and "contribute to the forum" as you call it. As for a good post, treat this place like your own community. So make posts that you think benefit others here in the community. It does not have to be something it really benefits us as long as people can learn from it or you are also learning from it at the same time or vice versa. After all, it is not helpful if your post doesn't add anything new to the discussion.

I was hoping to avoid using some image sharing site that will start to demand payment once I have invested significant effort. That happened to me with photobucket a few years back and I don't want a repeat of that, hence my attempt to use ProtonDrive.
ProtonDrive may be a good cloud storage provider, but it was never intended as image hosting. Although you can share your files publicly via a link, ProtonDrive will never provide you with a direct URL for the image to be able to post images on the forum. As already mentioned, Imgur and Imgbb are probably the two oldest and most popular services for free image hosting. They have a long history so there is no reason to fear that you might run into problems in the future. Even if you encounter some kind of restrictions during free use, you can simply change your IP address or use a VPN because no registration is required.

A politician's words or promises during a campaign are never to be trusted, because politicians are liars by profession, willing to say anything to help them win office or keep it. They will break promises and make new ones as if nothing has happened. We know that Bitcoin is a threat to the existence of the existing financial system, so they are doing everything they can to discredit it. This is not new, just simply follow the money. Governments and banks will never like it (except maybe when they control it), so they will do everything in their power to prevent it from becoming a mainstream currency. This means discrediting Bitcoin and spreading misinformation about it.
The only way for Bitcoin to survive is for people like us to keep pushing for its adoption and use, so it becomes mainstream, accepted by everyone and used as a medium of exchange.

The answer, of course, lies in your particular business and its needs. A businesses should look at the advantages and disadvantages of all payment methods before deciding which works best for them and should only consider accepting bitcoin as a payment option when they get sufficiently educated on the pros and cons, especially if they are new to the field and don't have much experience. In my opinion, if all these businesses want to embrace the future of currency and not get left behind while ensuring an increase in profits and higher revenues, they should start accepting bitcoin as a payment option. The sooner they start accepting it, the better.

I have a problem with images not posting. ~ The link I am using is this:
You have a problem with your image URL. I tried opening the URL in a new window and it does not work. It has nothing to do with the forum. Try using a different image hosting service. I also tried adding '.png' after the ProtonDrive link, but get the same result.
Obviously, you cannot create a valid image URL by appending the .jpg or .png extension to a random string of characters.

Great day for HODLERS like me. I knew BTC would go back above $20K at some point which is why I HODLED my stash successfully until today and sold it happily. Great TX times and fees as usual. Hah, you are not much of a hodler if you sold your bitcoin so easily and so far away from all time high, (to be more precise, bitcoin is down ~69% from ATH), unless of course you needed money urgently). I do hope that you plan to rebuy bitcoin if/when it reaches lower price but imho you are playing a dangerous game. Yeah, it is been a wild ride in the past 10 months! We had some ups, some downs and more rumours flying around that I can count. Everyone has an opinion about Bitcoin price, but none of them is worth a shit. Personally, I would never sell at these levels unless I need the money badly. I would rather sit on my Bitcoins for at least another year or two. I am not a financial adviser, nor do I profess to be one. This is just my opinion based on what I have seen in the past years. It has recovered from worse than this in the past and it will do so again. It is just a matter of time until we see another bull run like the one in 2021. So, if you are still holding your coins, do not sell at these levels without any real reason to do so!

The OP did not write how much BTC he sold (which is not too important), but at first it seemed to me that it was a larger amount - because even if it was 1 BTC, the difference between $18k and the current price is only slightly more than $1000 - which in some smaller amounts is not a loss worth mentioning.
Yes, you are correct. Even if a mistake was made, which is what the OP claims, I do not see why that would be such a big deal. I guess I'm just not convinced that a mistake was made. There is no way to know for sure, of course, but there is also no reason to assume that this is anything more than a simple case of nonsense talk. OP, if you really sold at $18k, and you think it was a mistake, then why not buy back and correct that mistake? Anyway, good luck with whatever you choose to do!

Do you have some points to improve the site.
In your last thread you said: In any case, detailed reviews and comparisons between the individual casinos will be added over the next 48 hours.
Our team is currently working on the wording of the individual reviews, because we don't just want to drop 10-page texts, but do a detailed review with all the pros and cons.
You did not do any of those things. Where are the detailed reviews with all the pros and cons? Where are the comparisons between the individual casinos? You just copied partial reviews from random sites and put them on your website. If all you can offer are copy-pasted reviews from other people's sites, then I will be better off reading them on the original sites, not on yours. By the way, those fake testimonials at the bottom of the site are just a joke, right? What do you even hope to achieve with that?

Infact Life is gambling because in the end one either win or lose in the end.
We all lose in the end, but I would say that life is still worth the gamble.

I have no idea who should I request to solve the problem.
Thermos? Cloudflare won't talk to us end-user peons; only website operators are allowed to report problems. Are the two of you sure that the problem is not on your end? I've been using multiple browsers and different networks to access bitcointalk.org over the past few days, and I have never encountered a problem like this. Maybe Cloudflare's firewall is blocking access from your IP address? Have you tried changing your IP address or using a VPN? Or maybe you could try changing the Tor circuit for the Tor network?
