1781  Other / Meta / Re: Issues With The Forum's Search Engine on: July 03, 2022, 05:31:34 PM
I was (and am) still toying around with the idea of indexing all Bitcointalk topics, with a separate ElasticSearch engine.
~

The problem is that posts can be edited and content changed at any time, so you would have to reindex the content on a regular basis in order to maintain the most recent version. I do not know if this is even possible and it would probably require a lot of processing power and a lot of bandwidth. That is why third-party tools, like Ninjastic.space, are good for archiving posts, but they cannot fully replace forum search since their database is out of date.

EpochTalk will probably handle this issue differently, so perhaps we just have to wait for a new version of the forum software (if that ever happens).
1782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the world ready to embrace physical bitcoin? on: July 03, 2022, 03:18:03 PM
Just... Stop. Have you ever heard of Lealana? Casascius? BitBills? Coldkeys? CrytpoArt? There are soooo many physical makers of loaded coins/items/artwork out there, some of them will be definitive historical artifacts - Check this - https://auctions.stacksbowers.com/lots/view/3-WWDXU/2011-casascius-1-bitcoin-btc-loaded-firstbits-1b2q7cyc-series-1-casacius-error-brass-285-mm-ms-67-pcgs

Do you see how much that sold for over face?  Shocked
~

That's exactly why Oceat said physical bitcoins have value as collectibles. The coin from your example is so rare that its market value is therefore significantly higher than the nominal value.

You guys dont know about telegram domain?  Anyone can change. I was change my username then Anyone randomly used.

This still does not explain the use of the same profiles from other social networks, such as twitter and facebook...
But since you asked for it, I will continue my investigation:

Case 3:

Last year, in the Ethernity.CLOUD Bounty campaign, you made a POA post with the wrong account, which links you to another alt account of yours (this is the eighth one already, if I am not mistaken):

8. Tybi

Proof:

https://ninjastic.space/search?content=Tybi&topic_id=5354912

And you did it once again in the Cat Fish bounty campaign:

https://ninjastic.space/search?content=Tybi&topic_id=5357709

Account Tybi is self admitted alt account of another group of already tagged bounty cheaters.

Trust summary for Tybi

Should we continue?

Why need to appeal for stake? If you have power you will ban Bounty Manager? Or Put them to jail?

1785  Economy / Reputation / Re: {Reference} Detailed reasons why you recieve a red feedback from me [campaigns]. on: July 03, 2022, 09:32:41 AM
Sir, I was greedy. I'm sorry Please forgive me. I want to stay with you and working for bitcointalk and earning some money from Campaigns. Sir, you both are HUMAN, You can forgive me. If next i will do anything wrong you both can kicking out from Forum.

Honesty? Well, I guess we do not see that very often from bounty cheaters. But I doubt that will help you much now. What you should have done was inform the bounty manager of your decision to change the campaign, and to avoid having stakes in both campaigns at the same time.

What I really want to know is why did you wait almost three months to ask for forgiveness? Based on your activity over the past few months, it is reasonable to ask if this is your only account here or just an alt?

The Last word: I made a mistake, forgive me.  I will never do it again

This statement makes sense only if you can confirm that this is your first mistake and that you are looking forward to being a positive contributor to this community in the future. Was this the first (and only) mistake you have made in this forum?
1786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the world ready to embrace physical bitcoin? on: July 02, 2022, 09:55:06 PM
I really do not see any use for a physical representation of digital currency other than as a collector's item. It also seems like the coin would be of questionable value to anyone using it. They would still have to be connected to the blockchain in some way to verify its value. Not to mention that physical representations of bitcoins are much more susceptible to theft.
1787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you be in favor of Gold or Bitcoin !! on: July 02, 2022, 09:43:44 PM
I am definitely for gold. If the goal is to invest money and not go into the negative - definitely gold. Really an investment that definitely won't lose. But bitcoin can bring both profit and loss.

Do you really believe that investing in gold has never produced a loss? You should check the gold price charts throughout history.

https://www.investing.com/currencies/xau-usd

I think it is safe to say that buying gold as a place to store wealth would not be a sound long-term investment unless you can wait decades.
1788  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: July 02, 2022, 05:07:52 PM
That’s it though, isn't it? It’s all about the place and not about the situation we are in. I mean think about it, if a brandnew website asked you to do KYC then you wouldn't do it, or they would have to pay you a ton of money to convince you to check out a brandnew place that requires KYC, and that would cost them a lot to get a single customer. However, when Roobet does it, then you are fine with it because you trust it.

Ultimately, it is not just about how new the site is, but also about how much faith we have in the company behind it. For example, would anyone leave their personal information with 1xbit and the like? Certainly not . People need to know the site is secure and reputable, and that there is a serious business behind it.

1790  Other / Meta / Re: Do you read unmerited replies? on: June 29, 2022, 08:16:26 PM
I don't know about you guys but these days i found myself ignoring unmerited responses in a topic and tend to only read the merited ones because they're "usually" more relevant to the topic and contain more valuable informations, and in big topics with multiple pages it gets difficult to sort them out.

Yes, there is some truth to what you say here, merit is not a measuring stick for quality of posts, but it is a good indicator and will give you an idea as to whether the post you are reading is likely to be of good quality. I have observed, however, that there is no standard or clear guidelines that governs posts that generate merit. You will have to judge for yourself whether the post you are reading is worthwhile or not. For example, we have posts that have received a lot of merits but in reality, they are not so good and some that are truly crappy. It is important to be aware of that when reading posts. Don't take everything on face value. So, I don't judge posts based solely on merit, I consider the content quality as well as engagement.

I don't know if this was suggested before (sorry for repeating if it was) but wouldn't it be better if the replies with the most merites be shown at the top (instead of the most recent ones) and so on kinda like a reddit upvote system,or at least to add a sorting option to switch between these two display modes (by time of posting or merites recieved).

Is a system like this feasible, and can we see something like this implemented in the near future ?

No, I do not think something like this will ever be implemented on a bitcointalk forum. For starters, this would mean favoring posts from an elite group of members (high-ranking members usually get more merits than newcomers). Secondly, such a system could be easily manipulated in threads that typically do not attract a lot of merits. Thirdly, such a system would require an "us" versus "them" mindset, which is contrary to what bitcointalk stands for.
1791  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Almost all NFTs are scam on: June 29, 2022, 05:38:52 PM
Newbies, NFTs should be the first thing you fear the most in crypto space, look at bitcoin, its usefulness and scarcity makes it valuable, Look at real Gold it's very rare to see and this makes it valuable, imagine if everyone on this earth has Gold in their backyard will Gold retain its value? It will be plagued with devaluation right? This is exactly what NFTs are today, everyone can create theirs.

It is true that anyone can make their own NFTs, but that is not the point. Like everything else, some NFTs serve a purpose, some do not. Some are art, some are not. Some may be valuable to collectors, but others will not.
I don't think it's good to generalize things like that. Take the Internet and the World Wide Web for example, anyone today can create their own website, but that does not mean all websites are useless and worthless. And to expand on this analogy, back in the 90s, no one could have predicted the rapid development of the Internet over the next 20 or 30 years.

1793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance signs Cristiano Ronaldo for exclusive partnership to push NFTs on: June 28, 2022, 09:15:22 PM
Honestly until now I don't see any good future for NFT's projects.  Maybe what CR7 has been doing in collaboration with Binance can be a good first step and I hope that this can be a form of cooperation for the application of NFT's technology in several lines in the future.
What about some of the nft play to earn games? And there's also gambling sites that are lately supporting nft's. Some of them are very promising that they seem to have a brighter future than the rest. I suggest try to take time and look for them instead only of judging based on what others are saying.

Popular personalities like ronaldo is a good help to spread the awareness not only in the nft scene but also in the overall crypto since nft's are still a part of it and it uses some of its technologies although I don't consider this as first or like you said as a first step since there's also famous celebs before and as well as big companies that have joined nft.

There are several possible scenarios for the future of NFTs. The first is that users will gradually lose interest on the NFTs, eventually shifting to the other, more popular trend in the future. The second scenario would be that these NFTs become prime assets in the virtual world economy. They can become a way of providing investment opportunities in the virtual world, as well as a means of entertainment and social interaction. On the other hand, the third scenario is that traditional gaming community will turn their focus to NFTs and decide to use NFTs in order to participate in the virtual world economy. All previous attempts, without exception, have met with negative reactions from the gaming community.

Why I received red feedback? What is my fault here if someone use my telegram username without my permission? If I use your telegram username without your permission, is it suitable for you to get negative feedback? I don't know who is this "Coinlotre". I am truly saying that "Alamin9884' is my only one account. If someone copy anything without my permission, he/she deserves red feedback. I hope you will remove my red feedback by further investigation. Thank you.

WTF are you talking about?  Your telegram username has been used by at least five or six other accounts on this forum. Some even in threads in which you never posted. How do you explain that?

All of these makes sense in the end, and I believe that people can see it, and they make decisions based on that. Roobet is so great that it makes people like me who hate kyc, question their stance and maybe bite the bullet and get it done.

I do agree with that.
I enjoy playing at Roobet because it has proven to be a trustworthy and fair casino. The introduction of the KYC was an unpleasant inconvenience that had to be overcome before I could use the platform again. Although many hate it, especially in the crypto community. Fortunately, the Level 1 KYC only required basic identification with a name and an address.
1796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can fight inflation? on: June 26, 2022, 01:16:06 PM
Bitcoin is a type of digital currency, whose value is not regulated by any central bank or any government. It also has limited supply, with only around 19 million bitcoins currently in existence. Thus, with such limited supply, it has to be priced, to some degree, differently than traditional currencies.

This means that a bitcoin's price will fluctuate with time, depending on how well it remains in demand. More demand equals higher bitcoin's price. It can, therefore, also fight inflation, because if the demand increases as inflation increases, the price will also increase in proportion. It is important to note, however, that it doesn't have to become the predominant currency to fight inflation.

Thanks for your kind words, but I am confused. How did I suddenly become a scam promoter? Are you also accusing Roobet casino of scamming?

I am just trying to convince those who read me not to trust anyone in this forum, nor any promoted organization here and fall in the same trap I fell in.

You fell into the "trap" because you tried to trick the gambling site, and it backfired on you. But hey! That's just my personal opinion based on what I've read. You may not like it, but I have the right to speak my mind, as does everyone else here, so deal with it.

1800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most of us have lived a world of USD dominance, but history changes on: June 25, 2022, 10:06:38 PM
Over the last decade, Bitcoin has catapulted into the spotlight as most popular, global cryptocurrency with billions of dollars of value. And, its mass adoption have worried many government regulators that it could destabilize national currencies or even replace the US dollar eventually. Even though some governments, such as China, have banned the trading of Bitcoins, others have been intrigued by this unprecedented innovation and are exploring ways to regulate it. However, although Bitcoin has tremendous growth potential, its volatility and relatively low mainstream adoption make it unsuitable to serve as a world reserve currency. This trend question of whether a digital currency can replace the USD remains open, but according to prominent economists, this is not likely.
