1741  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 16xypjnxlrew trying to scam in exchange section on: July 23, 2022, 08:16:34 PM
Thanks for the good tip on how to exchange your UST, but I REGRET Huh Cry Undecided to inform everyone that I am unable to exchange my UST because the exchange requires a withdrawal fee of 1 UST and a minimum withdrawal amount of 100 UST. Please don't write here on this topic, if someday the exchange removes the withdrawal fee, I will inform you - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5406561.0

Wait, you are unable to exchange your UST because the exchange requires a withdrawal fee of 1 UST? That just does not make sense. Do you even know how exchanges work?
In order to exchange your UST, you need to deposit it on the exchange, so you do not have to worry about the withdrawal fee and minimum withdrawal amount.

@Stalker22, that link of Roobet isn't from Roobet but links to another thread in the Service Discussion.

Yeah. Apparently, this shit sometimes happens when you have multiple tabs open simultaneously.  Wink
Fixed. Thanks!

I understand market I'm in, 20 BTC is limit per mix not whole balance of the mixer

A little reminder:

You are one more retard liar asshole. So when you sign you can't take those 20 BTC ?? WTF is this bullshit you are writing. You may sign and then easily take those 20 BTC same way.
~

This sounded like you don't want to sign so you don't compromise your cold storage, and it sounded like 20 BTC is your entire balance. But, apparently, you don't even have that much.
1744  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Vanity Address(es) on: July 19, 2022, 10:12:55 PM
3 letter words are often fairly easy to find in addresses and would make them harder to believably replicate for users paying attention to what they're doing.
That brings me to what I observed with my wallet app early last year or so. It was a Blockchain wallet app I was using then and I needed to receive Bitcoin from a seller. In order to differentiate that transaction I needed to send a fresh address from the same wallet app I had been using. Surprisingly I discovered that the new address was a legacy address turned vanity with the first three letters of my name to it. I didn't do anything to generate that vanity address and it kind of astonished but excited me. However, till date I haven't made use of that address as I couldn't get around how that happened. Is there anything I should be worried of with that?

There is no such thing as a vanity address generator on Blockchain wallet app that I know of. Most likely, it was just a coincidence. The chances are slim, but still possible.

1746  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Vanity Address(es) on: July 17, 2022, 09:54:14 PM
This one caught my attention, this is something I didn't even think about, I didn't imagine it was possible for an attacker to impersonate my Vanity address, am guessing the way this is possible is by the attacker using my vanity address initials to set up his own vanity address, the end result being that the beginning of the vanity address of the attacker will be same as mine, but the alphanumerics that follow wont be the same, but it wont occur to users sending funds to the address to check the rest of the Alphanumerics since the beginning of the address already has my initials which bears my identity.

That is basically true. But the same goes for any other address. Anyone can create an address that is identical to someone else's in the first few characters.
Even so, I still think that such addresses are cool, for example for accepting donations or using in online profiles.

Is there not a way to make it completely impossible to create another vanity address that bears the same initials with one that's already created before?, like it is when you get an error like "this username has been taken" when trying to create a username that matches with another username in a forum .

No. That is definitely not possible.
1747  Economy / Reputation / Re: Green trusted user vouching for shady site on: July 17, 2022, 09:23:30 PM
don't see the point for further explanations. I didn't like the community of bitcointalk at all, I have stomach to lead the campaign myself but not sure it's good idea. There will be topic with rare updates I guess and that's it. Sign campaign costs much, gets not that much traffic and it doesn't feel like advertising investment we really need now that's why I've written campaign manager to stop one

What do you mean by "you didn't like the community"? This is the largest crypto community online, and your business offers services related to crypto. It does not matter whether you like the community or not, what matters is your attitude. As I said before, you are clearly not up to the challenge.

Since you haven't actually run the signature campaign in the real sense yet, you cannot really say whether it brings traffic or not. One week of a campaign cannot be taken as a reference. Besides, if that were true, none of the companies would advertise here, yet we have campaigns that have run successfully for years.

Those -3 negative comments won't help project as well but anyway if you want to swap negative trust comments I'm in

That is not how the trust system works here.
1748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries have banned Bitcoin; Do you believe is because of criminal activities on: July 17, 2022, 08:12:36 PM
I do not really believe that they have banned it because of criminals. People have started paying a lot of attention to Bitcoin but because of our financial system, some countries are afraid that if they do not stop that trend, it would affect their economy. They think that their banks will go bankrupt, so, they have banned Bitcoin. It is a very sensitive issue because they say that they are doing that for the sake of their people. They say that they are trying to protect their people from the frauds and the evils in the cryptocurrency world. But the way I look at it, there is more to it than meets the eye.

By the way, I also see a symbol stretched across two lines. Chrome browser, Windows 10
I hope that this will not give ideas to other ANN thread creators...
1750  Economy / Reputation / Re: Green trusted user vouching for shady site on: July 17, 2022, 07:37:07 PM
We already sorted out this thing I don't think there is need to discuss it further

In my opinion, you can have the best intentions and your business can be completely legitimate and honest, but the way you treat other members who have expressed their doubts, some of which are valid, is completely unacceptable from a business perspective. The first thing you should do is hire a community manager and let someone else handle that part of the work, since you don't seem to have the stomach for it. You may have a good, genuine service, but if you're marketing it poorly, or telling your potential customers a bunch of half-truths, they will get the wrong impression.

The second thing you should do is find out what the people who are venting about your business are trying to tell you. Are they expressing concerns that could be addressed? Are they asking for more information on the subject that you haven't provided? Then take those concerns seriously and address them. It's one thing to shut them down and say that you don't care what they have to say; it's quite another to listen carefully to their suggestions and address their concerns.
1751  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Two person having the same seed phrase on: July 17, 2022, 06:58:12 PM
This myth must be sitting deep in the subconscious of every bitcoiner and makes worry about the safety of their cryptocurrency. Thanks to your calculations and detailed explanation, I hope Y3shot (and others who are interested in this) will stop worrying about the same seed phrases.

Yes. Many beginners ask this question, especially when they are just starting out. I have to admit, I also thought about it at some point. Only when you see numbers presented in such a plastic way, as o_e_l_e_o just did, can give you a true sense of what the magnitude of these numbers is.
1752  Economy / Gambling / Re: Chasing a x330,000 - Update: i hit it! on: July 17, 2022, 05:44:13 PM
I have no idea why so many gamblers feel they achieved something big by hitting huge multipliers even though they won small amounts. Makes sense in gaming(Achievement hunting), but doesn't really make a lot of sense in gambling.

They are just purely numbers at the end of the day people. Anyway, to each their own as they say.

It is probably the same reason why many gamblers like to play slots. They enjoy the feeling of satisfaction that comes with the high multiplier win. It is that feeling of empowerment that makes gambling fun.
Gamblers play games for a lot of different reasons and there is always an adrenaline rush. The thrill of it all is an exciting feeling for some, while others just love to play games as a way to de-stress.

Congratulations on your win, @seoincorporation!
1753  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano S Plus alternatives? on: July 17, 2022, 04:39:04 PM
~
As for ledger - yeah, I know about data leaks and already have disposable number and email for the order  Grin

The use of disposable numbers and emails is certainly good for your safety and the security of your data, but personal information, such as your full name and address, is the biggest risk of data leaks and pose the biggest threat. These are the things you should keep in mind while sharing your personal details to avoid any kind of threats and attacks on you in the real world.
1754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My wallet has Been Hacked. i need your help guyz. on: July 17, 2022, 11:19:24 AM
yeah i need to transfer those tokens. but when i transfer some bnb for transaction fee, those are send away to another address as soon as they arrived. what shoul i do??

I think you should read this article and see if you can apply anything from it:
How to Beat an Ethereum Sweeper Script and Recover Your Assets

This is written for Ethereum-based sweepers but I think it is applicable on the BNB blockchain as well.
1755  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 16xypjnxlrew trying to scam in exchange section on: July 17, 2022, 09:23:37 AM
Looks like 16xypjnxlrew is just a troll who has been terrorizing the freebicoin thread for years with false and baseless accusations. Probably a soar loser who got nothing to do with his life except to troll around the forum trying to make himself feel important. He also requested a $100 non-collateral loan recently, so I think everyone should be very careful dealing with this lowlife.
1756  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Duelbits Casino does not want to confirm my KYC - withdrawal not paid on: July 17, 2022, 08:51:19 AM
I'm not so sure about this, especially if people don't protest. Someone conspiracy theorist might think that by statistics casinos know that if withdrawals are delayed, those who request them end up betting and losing the money they had requested to withdraw. At least that is how it has been in other cases.

sale2000, are you able to bet using those funds or are they frozen until they verify the KYC docs?

Sale2000 provided screenshots that suggest he cannot use his funds until his KYC verification and withdrawal have been approved. There are casinos that deliberately delay withdrawals so that the user will continue to gamble and possibly lose his money, but I don't think that's the case here.

@sale2000, I think it is best to wait for an answer from the casino support and not to question them again about your case every day. I know it can be frustrating to wait for your money, but that is what you agreed to when you decided to use their casino.
1757  Economy / Reputation / Re: About Local Board Indonesia users on: July 16, 2022, 11:24:07 PM
Indonesia is a large country with a very large population. Given their average income and standard of living, there is little doubt that many  Indonesians consider this forum "the land of opportunity."
It is not surprising that some try to cheat the system and climb the ladder of wealth and success by any means possible.

However, one should not generalize and make a blanket statement that all Indonesians are the same. In reality, there are many cheaters in every nation on this planet.

1760  Other / Meta / Re: How Would You Make Bitcointalk Better If You Were The Boss ? on: July 15, 2022, 10:06:50 PM
Plus, I'm generally not a fan of the more modern type websites, and from what I've seen so far I like the additional functionality considerations, but the look of the Epoch I'm hoping changes when we do change over to it. I guess there's always custom CSS.

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of the current Epoch look either. Maybe I will just have to get used to it.
My only wish is that we could get at least a responsive design for the forum, as it is really difficult to use the current version on mobile devices.
