2461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PPC] PPCoin Released! - First Long-Term Energy-Efficient Crypto-Currency on: October 23, 2017, 10:16:12 PM
Is the ecoining pool still up?  Chrome won't let me log onto it because of something that expired.

Well, just check back one page here.  I asked two good questions for the health of the coin and not one response.

Sorry, we tried contacting the pool operator for you back when you posted this, but we did not get a response. We will try contacting again. The pool seems to be up and running though. In the meantime, can you confirm whether login is still not working? Have you tried any other browser to see if that helps? I will report back to let you know if we were able to get a response from the pool runner.

Also, I’m not sure if you associated health of the network with a lack of response or mining not working. Peercoin is secured through proof of stake only, so mining can’t effect the health of the network. Also as for lack of response, I explained above that we were not able to get a response from the pool operator. I should have responded here to let you know though, so I apologize for that. We have been very busy lately getting the v0.6 release ready, so it unfortunately slipped my mind.

I did just try again with two browsers (as I did the first time) and getting this error:

Netscape:
Your connection is not secure
The owner of ecoining.com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.

The advanced tab in Chrome shows:

ecoining.com normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Google Chrome tried to connect to ecoining.com this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be ecoining.com, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Google Chrome stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.

You cannot visit ecoining.com right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.

Thanks for the additional info.  I was just commenting because I've mined Peercoin before but don't like mining some coins unless I can log into their website.  I am currently mining DEM without logging in but they sent out frequent payments.  ecoining I believe was a longer buildup before payment.

How many % per stake? All random?

I'm not sure the exact percent but the stake rewards are pretty big compared to most of the other coins I've staked.   I got 180, 109, and 95 on the last 3 stakes all within 3 days from an old wallet of 6000 coins.

2464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: October 23, 2017, 06:40:39 PM
Looks like a great project.  Transferring some funds to buy some at C-CEX.  I mentioned you also in the JesusToken thread.  We've given away over one million in the first month and have continuous airdrops for doing Christian-related things.

2465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is best PoS coin to invest into right now? on: October 23, 2017, 03:52:21 PM
What PoS coins have active development and trading at low price right now?

Growthcoin, Truckcoin, Bottlecaps, Kangeroobits, Boat, PiggyCoin, Version, 808, and 1337.  RAIN is also very low priced right now.

The coin isn't dead at all.  There is a new thread.  This thread should be locked.

The coin is staking great.

Ok guys, so i'm back with the same problem Smiley i believed that 654k coins is not enough so i added some more coins till 175kk, got my rewards x 2, but that's it...in the wallet appears:

Spendable: 175kk
Stake : 0
Unconfirmed: 0

and rewards is expected at different hours, like 4 , 8 h, even 3 days..but didn't got anymore rewards..if at Stake is value 0, that means the Stake doesn't work ? If so..what must i do? Stake one time and move coins again so i can stake ?

Pls help
It may mean your new stake reward coins have to mature before they start staking.
They already been matured...as mentioned i have received 2 x rewards, just don't know if at Stake is 0 , does that mean it isn't working? If so..why ? Because first after the coins matured , the stake worked..

I believe on some wallets the new coins earned have to take time to mature before they start to stake for new earnings.

Hi all, just checking up on BOAT - is anything in need of updating?

I'd like to get this project sailing again - there are some big code updates needed, which may require everyone updating their wallets.

Besides checkpoints & GUI updates - what do ye landlubbers need?

Yarrr!!!

I'm curious what you, OBAViJEST, think about this talk of a name change.  I think BOAT is the million dollar ticker symbol, and since the exchanges see us as this, won't they require paying them again, etc.?

2473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][JSUS] JESUSTOKEN - OVER ONE MILLION GIVEN AWAY SO FAR -- AIRDROPS on: October 21, 2017, 01:15:22 AM
Hopefully something good will come up with JesusToken after the verification in DEX. Been sitting this asset for very long already and no buy orders yet. Good luck to the dev and the community!

I filled out both sets of paperwork for them.   And the funny thing is that none of the tokens now seem to have the verification checkmark when I am in the WAVES client.  I hope WAVES doesn't fumble the ball.  It's sad when people get a lot of money and they don't deliver, very sad.

Maybe WAVES is just getting rid of the verification thing because of legal reasons?   I know it would irritate me if things like that really irritated me.   We should be getting some orders soon when people know what they can support by buying the Token.  Anyone can throw a couple of .01's parts of WAVES, or 50,000 SATS at it now.

I am going to do some kind of ICO for it but I have to work a regular job and then I have my arts on top of that so the more support we get the more likely your tokens will have monetary value.   I am hoping it would grow a little by word of mouth before a crowdfunding thing.

JesusToken [JSUS] Jesus Token a digital asset on waves platform

PROMOTING THE GOSPEL & SOCIAL CAPITAL

Jesus is Lord

God raised Jesus from the dead on the third day!

I read part of the op, but where is the download for the wallet?
I want to learn more about these token things, but haven't yet, so can you show me how to get the wallet for tokens and how that works.

Hi, download the WAVES Lite client.  Easier way is if you have Chrome on your computer, and then send me your address in a personal message.
These coins like Ethereum and WAVES have tokens that are alongside in the wallet, so you just send them one address to get many registered tokens.

Thanks for your support of JesusToken!

I know how everyone loves airdrops, so here's a chance for everyone get some PoSTokens for free Grin

PoSToken is having their 3rd AIRDROP right now. Use my link to get some airdrop tokens.

https://airdrop.postoken.org/?r=59e80c1b64

You will need your BitcoinTalk ID for the registration page. You can find your BitcoinTalk ID by clicking on "PROFILE" and then "PROFILE INFORMATION" on the left side of the page. Then look in the address bar and the 7 digit number is your BitcoinTalk ID. On that same page you will see "LOCATION" on the right side of the page. Enter your My Ether Wallet (MEW) address in the "Location" box and click "Change Profile" at the bottom of the page to save. Then finish filling out your registration information and that's it.

Good luck!

Thanks, but I just got:

Access to airdrop.postoken.org was denied

I reloaded it and it came through.  Posting so people know to reload it.

2476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My actual list of under radar coins - what u think ? on: October 20, 2017, 09:15:19 PM
I think the best low entry staking coins are good.  Growthcoin, Truckcoin, Bottlecaps, Kangeroobits, RAIN, Boat, PiggyCoin, Version, 808, and 1337 (which you can sell for DOGE or LTC when prices rise).  I have tried more but they haven't been good.  POS Wallets are a cheap way to mine BTC, even with old computers..  You sell the coins for BTC that you earn while staking.

If people realize they don't need to send BTC between exchanges but can use DOGE which is almost universal and almost free with the low fees,
DOGE should rise too.
2477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][JSUS] JESUSTOKEN - OVER ONE MILLION GIVEN AWAY SO FAR -- AIRDROPS on: October 20, 2017, 06:46:34 PM
Hi, here's an update.  First, I am very grateful for the support, which has mostly gone on in PM and in Slack.  I did't expect this many Christians here, but I'm pleasantly surprised.  In case you didn't know, there is also a Biblepay coin that is very active, and I hope you will support them.

I have a lot to post here and I have been meaning to update some things.  First of all, I would like to see all people that are involved in my projects prosper.  I have been making good money trading on about 8 exchanges and also I stake about ten different coins with Proof of State Wallets.  I am having good luck with Growthcoin, Truckcoin, Bottlecaps, Kangeroobits, RAIN, Boat, PiggyCoin, Version, 808, and 1337.  I have tried many more but they haven't been that good, and you can read their threads here.   I also trade in DOGE and send it between exchanges and don't pay BTC fees that way.

POS Wallets are seen as a cheap way to mine BTC in a roundabout way, even with an old computer or two.  You sell the coins that you earn while staking for BTC.

So, I am hoping a community can be built here based on trading good knowledge back and forth and empowering people that are doing good things.

my est. balance melts along with RAIN price  Cry

What does that mean?  You can't print money and crypto shouldn't be seen as doing that.  People who launch coins and tokens take a lot on their back, and if your staking doesn't pay you a lot of money every week, then you should know to just buy more because that's reality.

2479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NEW! KangarooBits V2 [KGB2] - SWAP old KGB in NOVA soon! - PLEASE READ on: October 20, 2017, 04:57:40 PM
I have been staking well with this coin for a week now.  It does give random rewards like Condensate RAIN.  I did email the dev a few days ago but he hasn't emailed back.  I hope this coin can get a community around it and boost up the awareness for it, because looks like everything is fine and it will be a great coin.
2480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RE-ANN] GrowthCoin PoW/PoS - 100% per year - Version 1.3.0.1 on: October 20, 2017, 04:46:47 PM
I also am gonna give you guys a little insight about the pow and pos and why I came up with these ideas

POW - To put it simply conformation times due to the nature of pos and people not needing to have their wallet online to stake conformation times suck like almost 2 hours to get 200 confs to be able to get grw to trade miners can help fix this the more transactions that can be processed the faster everyones conformation times will be

The growing reward capped at 30 yes it seems high but almost all other pow/pos coins have the reward half so far that people stop mining it because its not profitable which leads to decline in prices and usage example sprouts, vector, hyperstake ect. a growing halving should slowely gain traction with miners and make it worth while for them to put hashing power towards GRW

POS -  The current problem is that there are more coins generated than there are people to buy them also with such a high inflation the value of grw will continue to hang where it is or allow for massive selloffs and pump and dumps to happen as a community we should want adoption creating something that can be so easily manipulated by the large stake holders against the people trying to get into the coin will most definitely kill the adoption of GRW Crypto is built on trust and having a high stake rate is inherently untrustworthy

Please feel free to weigh in on the subjects or propose something that maybe i haven't thought of also I will maintain transparency with the community throughout the development if you would like to donate to the development you can send here appreciated not required

BTC - 16Dx8FaSLpowQReM9AygP3ufB4ZCBL91Rd

GRW - GYK7bLqZAAjtqcvmxf9stvDydQ8K4cwKTU

ETH - 0xb5b328384bedcbcf291d5b01213079545cf3a302

Ok, I can pretty much understand everything you've said.

I mine too and so always try to communicate with people about good things.  I never tried to mine Growthcoin before.

About POS, the problem seems to be people coming in with a lot of money, buying a lot of coins, and then crashing the market.   The situation that I see is that cryptocurrency is still a small phenomena and within that small thing there is something called POS Wallets which only a small fraction of that small fraction know how to use.  If more people understood how easy it is to use them, back them up, restore them after they crash, etc. then more people will buy the coin.  That is the angle I am trying to work from.

So, if suddenly POS Wallets are seen as a cheap way to mine BTC in a roundabout way, what will happen if Growthcoin isn't distinguishable anymore by a higher POS return?   100% a year shouldn't be too much.   That goes with the market trading, it's easy to make 100% a year trading crypto, and BTC has been much higher than that.

Yes Exactly and i mean these whales do that to all coins at some point however once they crash the price they usually dont jump back into it to run the prices back up or people get scared to invest because its happened repeatedly thats what a lower interest rate is aiming to fix by having people actually have to buy into the existing supply to raise price and spread the coins around rather than a whale owning 75 percent of the stake and dumping the stakes on the market think of it like this if a person owns 1m coins then in 365 days they will make another 1 million coins thats a huge amount that will get dumped onto the markets in a whale scenario while it doesn't seem like a lot when your talking someone who owns 50k and actually the price gains on the market with a lesser interest rate everyone should make more off their stakes than if 3 people dumped 20million coins on the market every 6 months its a nasty circle of the market struggle to recoup the drop to just plummet again

This is a general happening on smaller cryptocurrencys btc and eth have enough people to quickly jump back up and down and be fine

I don't want to sound like I'm trying to dampen the progress of your work.  I don't mind if you go through with making these radical changes,
the only thing is that are you sure you can bring this to completion?  We should try to get some others who may have launched POS coins successfully to help.
