1861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Elite [MANDATORY UPDATE] 20.89% APR | POS ONLY on: March 28, 2018, 09:23:02 PM
I stopped my wallet for two days and restarted it and now I'm about 4000 blocks behind after about three hours.   Thoughts?

Hi, there were number of announcements since the last two days. If you aren't aware of them all, i would suggest you to go through the announcements. Meantime, you could check to see if you have March 25, 2018 as your Build date in the Debug window of your wallet. If you don't, backup your wallet.dat and delete everything from 1337 folder except wallet.dat and re-download the wallet and snasphot and follow the update instructions.

I went through all the updates and even have been commenting since you did this last upgrade.  The upgrade was about three or four days ago.

Some coins you need a huge amount, like millions to get a stake.  I doubt that's the case with this coin but you should ask how many you need to get a stake.   Also, if you encrypted your wallet you have to unencrypt it to stake.
1863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Supporting Obscure Blockchains with Small Miners on: March 28, 2018, 07:56:13 PM
-SNIP-

I doubt some of these small blockchains are even circulating.  There could be a thread where dev's of them request hashrate.   It's kind of like a lot of great little businesses go out of business because there is no way to sound the alarm they need support.  The community loves them but people with money don't think to keep them afloat.

Oh ic, that's proof coins with a solid community can survive, look at Dogecoin, for example, with its price, Dogecoin still alive until this day. We can't deny that Dogecoin is a bronze coin, but without solid community they are nothing.

Sound like this isn't about profit, right?
This is about hows small coins network keep alive with creating a place where the Dev can requesting Hashrate.

It could also be about profit.  I think about a 1/3 of the 1500 coins out there seem to randomly pump.

So, what do we have to do for this swap at this point.  I'm sure a lot of us are in many coins and it's becoming very common for devs to swap/fork a coin a few times a year.
1866  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: March 28, 2018, 03:59:23 PM
Every DOGE address I give them for withdraw is coming back as "Invalid DOGE address."

Lamborghini coin.  I bet it's going to do 20 to 60 sats one day in record time.     Grin

Would be great to get some DOGE or LTC trading action on this coin.  I wonder if Novaexchange or TradeSatoshi might list it?
1869  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC.com - The most advanced cryptocurrency exchange on: March 27, 2018, 04:35:13 PM
What kind of exchange lets you buy a coin for a minimum amount then won't let you sell it for that?

Can someone message me the percentage of staking for this coin?  Tired of searching the thread for it, if it's even stated here.
1871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Music Theme Coin Monitoring Thread on: March 26, 2018, 03:46:20 PM
We need a thread to monitor the standing of the different music coins.  There are over five major ones and several smaller ones.  Musicians desperately need support because even great ones who made music millions have enjoyed are living in poverty because of the nature of the music industry.

1872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Supporting Obscure Blockchains with Small Miners on: March 26, 2018, 03:40:48 PM
If you are the one and only, or may you made at least 10% of total hashrate with your Android, maybe you can find the block. For me, looks like someone mine bitcoin using Personal Computer at 2009.  Wink

a young coin has appeared on tradesatoshi called Capitalcoin using the ticker CAP

eeesh.

I think Coinmarketcap may be the only one that matters.  Exchanges use BCC and BCH for Bitcoincash.

1874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Elite [MANDATORY UPDATE] 20.89% APR | POS ONLY on: March 26, 2018, 05:42:58 AM
I'm very concerned about all these tiny stakes I'm getting.  Another coins wallet did that so much I couldn't even send anything to the exchanges anymore from the wallet.  At first I could sort and send the bigger blocks, but then it was only sub coin amounts that were barely even a few sat, and one had to select them by hand.  You couldn't just say send 2000, it couldn't add up that many fractional blocks and the wallet would give an error when trying.

Just giving a warning for anyone that is experiencing this.  I will try to add up to bigger blocks by sending to myself.

tiny stake doesn't mean tiny block - block remains the same+stake.
if you have tiny blocks - that's inappropriate splitthreshold etc.
this coin provides pretty clear threshold settings, shouldn't be a problem

Could you go into more detail?  I am not sure how to do that.  I haven't come across the term "threshold" in staking wallets before.
1875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Supporting Obscure Blockchains with Small Miners on: March 26, 2018, 05:40:50 AM
Anyone think about doing this and finding blocks on block chains that are barely going?

There is an all purpose multi-algo android miner, I wonder if that would also work.

Got it updated and with 375 blocks left to sync.   It's good to remember when coins go big, the average user isn't a techie and would have a lot of problems doing these kinds of things, even though they seem simple to us.   Any step you can leave out, like having to install a bootstrap, is a big plus in an upgrade.
1878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀[ANN][PoSToken]First PoS Smart Contract Token[Lending Platform Available] on: March 25, 2018, 01:04:28 AM
A community takeover would be interesting.  Most of us probably didn't buy too much and are aware of the coin because of the airdrop.  Most of us probably also like the tech of the coin.  Would be awesome to buy in cheap and watch it rise.
1879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Elite [MANDATORY UPDATE] 20.89% APR | POS ONLY on: March 24, 2018, 09:00:20 PM
Some of us may use multiple old computers for staking so it makes it a hassle to have to open a lot of pages with browsers.  Taking the liberty of posting the page's instructions here:

Follow the steps below to update your wallet to latest version:

Close your old wallet (if its running)
Delete your old 1337-qt.exe (Windows), 1337-Qt.app (Mac), 1337-qt(Linux)
Go to your 1337 foder:
Windows: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\1337
Mac: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/1337_XXXXXXXXXX/drive_c/users/<username>/Application Data/1337
Linux: /home/<username>/.1337
Backup your wallet.dat (save it somewhere safe like external drive)
Delete everything except wallet.dat
Download latest wallet from our official website https://www.elitecurrency.net/wallets
Extract the latest wallet zip file.
Run the latest wallet. Elite-qt.exe (Windows), Elite-qt.app (Mac), Elite-qt (Linux)
Now close your latest wallet.
Download latest snapshot from our official website https://www.elitecurrency.net/wallets
Extract the downloaded Elite-Snapshot.zip file
Go back to your 1337 folder:
Windows: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\1337
Mac: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Elite_XXXXXXXXXX/drive_c/users/<username>/Application Data/1337
Linux: /home/<username>/.1337
Copy everything from your Elite-Snapshot folder to your 1337 folder
Restart your wallet.

If you do not see any connections, try the following:
Close your wallet.
Go to your 1337 folder above.
Create 1337.conf file and paste following:
addnode=45.55.165.214:13373
addnode=188.226.136.76:13373
addnode=128.199.82.237:13373
addnode=104.131.133.180:13373
Restart your wallet.

If you do not see your full balance upon restart, try the following:
Go to the Debug window in your wallet.
Make sure you’re on Console tab.
Type repairwallet and enter
Restart your wallet.

This coin has always done a good job making profits.  Investing again, although I think Bitcoin's soon rise may bring many altcoins down.
