2481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: if anyone hacked your account then who is responsible??? on: July 29, 2019, 01:02:38 PM
if I've created account/wallet on coinbase or any other exchange then my account is hacked and my coins/money lost who are responsible for it
The Exchange where I've created account Huh
is it my mistake Huh
what's you thought about it Huh

and how i make my account safe  Huh

There are many ways coins might get lost from the wallet and many ways to define what could be called a hack.
That could be a mistake from your side like phishing or password theft, and malware you've unknowingly installed. Even forgetting or erasing the password or 2FA key, private key, mnemonic phrases,  etc results in lost of coins.
On the side of site, there could be hack on it's database or wallet, on which case, the site would be responsible for the mistake.
2482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does hard work in gambling count? on: July 28, 2019, 08:30:31 PM
With a lot of gambling people may get experienced about how to gamble, when to start and when to stop. Experienced gambler may be able to profit by losing less. But there's no such thing as hard work in gambling. Hard work doesn't pay off, at least not in gambling. You need to be smart and lucky to be successful in gambling.
2483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's probably the oldest question but they still ask it? on: July 28, 2019, 08:10:24 PM
I have been here for a long time 4 years to be exact but I always stumble this question
"Is this the right time to buy Bitcoin or other top coins in the market" I found out it has been asked since Bitcoin was trading at $1
so when people will stop asking when is the right time to buy Bitcoin.

The thing is we are always uncertain about the future of bitcoin. Many predicted the last bull run to be the bubble of bitcoin bursting but again it has made a significant return to half of what it once had been. The price of bitcoin may never reach the 20K limit again or go upto an infinite price and no one can be totally sure about any of the options. This opens the window for speculations.
2484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [2019-07-26] Libra accused of Whitepaper plagiarism on: July 28, 2019, 07:50:56 PM
That may be unintentional from libra or just a coincidence
I don't think it's unintentional. From what I've read the plagiarism is blatant and like I said Facebook have history of plagiarism accusations therefore this being a coincidence is unlikely.

Investors won't care about white paper plagiarism because Libra is from the almighty facebook teams so they care less
even though it's true, it will not make any negative feedback for most of investor.
Seriously? If the plagiariasm is proven it would at least make the project lose it's credibility.Who would invest in a plagiarised project  Huh

There had always been such claims when a large enterprise tries to bring something new.
Cryptocurrency to some extent are similar to each other and the concept of a stable coin based on the prices of different asset and currencies is not an entirely new concept. There have been dozens of such concepts and some of them had actually made it to the market though less famous, they are much more closer to the concept of Libra.
2485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP and BCH on: July 28, 2019, 04:24:34 PM
Hello Bitcointalk Forum as of today I'm devoting myself to invest in Crypto hope I can find my way here on your forum. Long story short I've been speculating two of the top 5 Crypto by market cap half a year by now I always insist to invest because of too much fud happening to the community any advice to such a beginner like me would much be appreciated thanks for stopping by to my topic, the two crypto I've been speculating is mentioned at the topic.

In my personal speculation, Bitcoincash is one of the best altcoin at the moment. Though they had many ups and downs, they had a solid backing and are a mineable decentralized currency unlike Ripple. Ripple on the other hand has been nearly dormant in terms of development and finding markets while BCH is an actively used merchant coin and many business accepting it as a payment.
2486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: if you want to win big...accept defeat on: July 28, 2019, 12:20:13 PM
hello gamblers
many players are complaining about the way they always get busted, they keep playing in the same way and they are doing nothing but making their loss bigger. the point here is not about greed or being greedy, its all about the right time to stop which is very hard since no one can predict the next move in gambling. many players make good profits but they keep playing instead of stoping, and it always leads to one result,,,bust. how ? once they make good profits and starts to lose they refuse to accept the defeat and keep playing to recover, and it ends up losing all they have, the case here is not about greed, but about accepting defead. once you accept the loss and say ( its enough losing ) you can take what left from your profit, do it over and over and you will make a good profit.
if you want to be successful in gambling accept the defeat first, and the game is all yours.
best of luck rolling

The more people start losing, they'll bet more aggressively. This is a natural human instinct. There's always that feeling "I'll either win back or lose everything I have. But they don't really care what amount they are putting in risk. For example even if a person started with 1 BTC, reached to 4 BTC and lose 2, he'd be willing to bet the next 2 BTC at once, not realizing he's still in 100% profit.

That's why there should be a stop mark on win and on lose. For example you can make a rule to withdraw your initial bankroll if you double your amount and play with the rest or restrict yourself from playing on the day when you lose more than 10% of your bankroll. If you are really addicted to it, asking a family member or friend to help you remind yourself to stay within your limits would also be useful.
2487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How often do you invest your Bitcoin to Altcoins? on: July 28, 2019, 01:25:59 AM
I have thought of this topic because I don't invest much in altcoins, just trading it to profit. I'm talking about the one you will buy that you would HODL in the long term and keeping it in your cold wallet, hardware wallet, paper wallet, or whatever you do with it as long as you keep the currency itself.

The reasons I could think are the following:

  • You invest because of the Technology of the coin And what it could bring to the cryptocurrency space
  • You know the developers and supporting them
  • You believe you could profit in the long-term
  • Because of the Name of the coin. Lol.

I'm just wondering if there are other reasons that you may have and if you agree with the ones I listed. Share it here.

The first three are true for me. I have highly limited the number of alts I invest in as they have performed poorer than bitcoin this year.
When I invest, technology is an important aspect to consider. What the token/coin intends to achieve, how user friendly the coin is and most importantly, its current and future market. Developers and community is another factor, it's what would led the coin in long term. And of course every investor expects a good profit in long term.
2488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Better adoption rate for ETH on: July 28, 2019, 01:12:23 AM
What do you think will happen if ETH implement POS in it upcoming upgrade? I personally think there will be more adoption rate for ethereum because many would want the POS reward, what do you guys think?

ETH is working for it. They are planning to implement the POS and put a limit on the total supply by 2020.
But this POS could be much different from other POS coins. As of adoption, it could be a new chain and probably with a huge scalability and performance which would surely increase the present market of Ethereum. Limiting the supply would be essential for price increment.
2489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can the 5 top biggest league in Europe matches be fixed on: July 27, 2019, 06:31:22 PM
I am having an issue here every gambler or some sport person knows that football matches can be fixed. Players, coaches, football and referees can be bought off to swindle the match in the favour of the buyer.
I was in a heated argument with my colleague that it's difficult to fix matches played in big leagues like the English premier league, LA liga, French league, German league, Italian seria A,
You would not get away with trying to fix matches in those league and the fear of the penalties will send chill running down their spin.
What's your take on this can matches can be fixed in those league and go free

It's nearly impossible to make a whole team fix a match but as the match result could be influenced by the single player or a single event, there could be player fixes or event fixes. Even a match referee can fix the number and types of cards to be shown in a match. And as the leagues are large tournaments, no one would be focusing to details in a match between low ranked team.
I don't mean to say it happens but I just mean to tell that it's not a difficult task to achieve.
2490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reject Facebook Coin And Libra: An Open Letter to Our Non-Crypto Friends on: July 27, 2019, 05:00:26 PM
If Facebook's proposed cryptocurrency comes with total regulations and control, there's no point of using it. Advertisers may use it advertise on the platform but there no point in using it as a way to transfer money among your contacts. We have better ways.
Facebook itself doesn't have a good history about safeguarding user privacy and as our private infos were not enough, we'd also be providing it with our financial information. This would become a priority target for hackers as every info would be centralized.
2491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 27, 2019, 04:11:49 PM
Real Madrid might want to reconsider selling some of their forwards now. Marco Asensio ruptured his ligaments last week and Jovic got injured in the previous match as well. Some reports say that it could be serious. Maybe Gareth Bale or James could get another chance to shine because of all this.

According to the news I just shared above, it seems that Bale and Real have already officially split.
It's really strange that Real has so many injuries of the key players at the very beginning of the season.
Also, judging by the reports of the match against Atlético Madrid, they started very badly in the season.

Gareth Bale is set to move to a Chinese club with a record salary for him. Probably to Jiangsu with a euro 1 million+ a week.
Zidane was the one who insisted and pushed him and Bale had to made a decision.
This leaves Real with very few options unless they bring in some forward from elsewhere.
2492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: July 27, 2019, 03:36:25 PM
^  Real's time is now!  I hope they lose a match in their first 5 - 8 fixtures.  That could make their line on winning La Liga go to 5 or so.  Grin  The last time I checked, it was around 3ish...  Not much value in there imo.

Check the odds now. Atletico trashed them 7:3 last night. It was 5:0 at half time. Didn't watch the game but I saw few hilarious pictures like Bale having time of his life while the team is conceding.

Add to that all the injuries happening to them, yesterday they lost Jovic and Modric, the odds could be growing nicely. It seems Bale signed for some Chinese club so he is gone too, not that Zidane will miss him much.

And I'm actually feeling sorry for Zidane, This season is going to tarnish his career as a coach unless he be able to do some magic. Most of the players in the team are out of form Real really needs some fresh faces.  Not a great fan of Real Madrid but I still love Zidane and hope Real would at least be able to play the Champions league this next year (20/21).
2493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: great projects to get in while the price is low -- low supply projects only on: July 27, 2019, 03:17:04 PM
I would be promoting about BNB here. Though it's not as low supplied as many of the coins discussed here, it would be lower in supply than the current circulating amount of ETH. And with it's quick and cheap transactions and backing by one of the largest private business in crypto, it looks to have a brighter future. With it being a fuel for the Binance dex, its demand would be ever increasing while the supply would be limited.
2494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: July 27, 2019, 02:35:48 PM
What is going on with American national basketball team?
A lot of players have given up from playing for the national team at the World Championships.
Anthony Davis, CJ McCollum, James Harden, Eric Gordon, Tobias Harris, Bradley Beal, Damian Lillard, DeMar DeRozan, Kevin Love and recently Paul Millsap.
It seems that Kyle Lowry is also very close to give up, according to some rumors.
I think that this time Serbia really have good chance to beat USA, what do you think?

NBA is becoming more and more politics every year. And there's no solid reason for any of the NBA stars refusing to play for the national team. Though all of them have some alibi, it's definitely their choice rather than the situation.
As of the winning team, I still don't think USA has any tough competitor for this tournament. With the current double league, only the best teams would reach the Quarters.
2495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You Think Tron will overcome this FUDS on: July 27, 2019, 01:46:19 PM
But we also should realise not every news about Tron are FUDs. Justin Sun the frontman of the project is facing serious accusations back home and he personally did apologize for hyping himself and his project and promised to stay low until things gets better. We still hope, he would be cleared of every accusations and Tron would again rise up as a promising alternative in utility sector.
2496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Adoption Over Bull Run on: July 26, 2019, 02:28:49 PM
I see a lot of people complaining about the volatility of crypto market with the prices of all their altcoins have reducing drastically, and they hope for the bull run to come and everything should increase. I think that the bull run is not the best solution to the volatility of the crypto market, but adoption.

The best and main solution to the volatility of the crypto market is real world adoption. There are alot of cryptocurrency project that are very good and innovative but are not yet adopted that people outside the crypto space (which is a few percentage of the world economy), therefore there value is subjected to the market changes. But if they get adopted by the real world and there token value is based on the real economy (i.e daily usage by people) then the value would be on the increase regardless of whether the market is bullish or bearish.

You are correct but where there's limited supply and speculation, no currency would have a natural price. Almost all of crypto currency are inflated in price just due to speculation. Adoption and use is the real determinant of the price but it has in real very low effect on the current price of altcoins.
2497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Brave Browser: Now users can earn Basic Attention Token (BAT) for viewing ads on: July 25, 2019, 01:57:14 PM
You can now withdraw BATs earned from ads after verifying your wallet with Uphold
However, brave browser's users whom want to get their BATs, have to do and surpass KYCs. Honestly I have never had good feelings with KYCs, because we all don't know what will happen, especially with our identities. Facebook can leak their users data, so what if Brave browser leaks their users data (that they collect from KYCs)?

This is due to all the device farmings people do in order to earn more. They do have to implement some ways to stop fraud and they implemented what was easy for them. But the users of brave are actually privacy focused and when they are asking for identity, most of them would not provide or some may even stop using the browser as the so called earnings are low and the risk involved in providing the identity is high.
2498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 25, 2019, 01:43:51 PM
Oscar was a good player with Chelsea only the first season of joining the team.
From that season and then, he didn't seem to be the next talented player that would compete Ronaldo and Messi, or reach their levels of performance. Good for him that he got transferred in China and got a lot of money.

No current player in football is on the level Ronaldo & Messi have displayed over the last 10 years. The other top players are several levels below - Griezmann, Salah, Mane, Neymar. Maybe the heir to Ronaldo’s & Messi’s throne is Mbappe but he still has a lot to prove.

There have been a few on the same level such as Ronaldinho and Kaka but they don't have the longevity that Ronaldo and Messi have.  Also  Ronaldo and Messi might look a little better than they really are because they both always played on stacked teams.

Brazilian (the original) Ronaldo is the best player I’ve ever seen. I’d argue he was better than Messi & Portuguese Ronaldo. Injuries robbed him from fulfilling his considerable potential though.

Football in the past was a bit different from the present and would be different in the future. You can compare the contemporary players with stats but can't do the same with players in different time. There are several benefits today's generation enjoys in comparison to the past generations. We just need to appreciate good players of all times.
2499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I would move for security if it’s really better on: July 25, 2019, 12:15:55 PM
people are losing millions from hacks...investors are scared to invest...the industry needs to move past this to gain investors trust.  Undecided

What we need to consider is there are risks everywhere and higher the risks, higher would be the chances of profit and a low risk investment yields low profits. If you really want to be secure, you could deposit your money into the banks.
I don't mean to say everythings happening right in the crypto world but what we should realize is as we moves towards a safer crypto investments, our profit would also be way lower as each and every people would jump in.
2500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which crypto social platforms do you use? on: July 25, 2019, 12:00:03 PM
Tired of reading news platforms that are nothing but paid press-releases and interviews with yet another 'successful' founder of 'put any ico/ieo you could think of', I came up with an idea to search and study user-generated crypto platforms that could outstrip the other ones here on the Net.

The goal is to finally find an aggregator type of a platform with decent reviews, analytics, etc. No doubt the idea is pretty simple and trivial and there's already such a site as bitcointalk (which is number 1 rn), but I don't remember seeing files in a long read format often.

So, replying to the following questions would help me immensely:
Which of the platforms do you use and why?
What other platforms except for Bitcointalk forum you read?
Do you have your own blog on any of the platforms?

As you've said most of them are biased one way or other. Coindesk and Cointelegraph is what I use most and the TNW and Verge are also covering a wide range of crypto news now. Other than that, the google suggests me several related contents on the feed and I just read the ones that I find interesting.
