1561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETC team warns against potential hard fork scam on: January 13, 2020, 02:56:48 PM
Private keys and mnemonic phrases should be handled carefully.
And if in any time you need to put your private key to claim the forked coin, be sure to empty the coins on address associated with the private key and transfer them somewhere safe.
You can never be all sure by what you are doing and a small mistake can cost you a lot.
1562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: two gambling games that are players favorite on: January 13, 2020, 02:39:48 PM
The games everybody loves, easy to understand and play are surely Dice and crash games.
They are quick, low house edge mostly and easy to understand. Crash to some extent is social as it's the same probability and bust for all the players.
I too love the two most and are my most used gambling games online.
1563  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump and Protestors something doesn’t feel right!. on: January 13, 2020, 02:26:18 PM
We all know US always funds the destabilizing factor on the countries that it finds challenging. Hong Kong and Iran protest are undoubtedly funded by US as many others around the world.
But we should also not forget that the people in the both places are not satisfied with what they are getting from the leaders. Any government that restricts freedom of speech is not in favor of the general public.
China needs to work harder to make a safe landing, if their political system failed, it would be much harsh than soviet union but if they gradually shifted towards a more people centric government they'd save both China and the Chinese people.
Khameni too has been dictating Iran for a long time. Iran has one of the longest experience of democracy among Arab estates and Khameni is a bad image for democracy in Iran.
But again I don't support external intervention as the people themselves should genuinely rise to make a change.
If the US wants they should first start selling democracy in Saudi, the largest sponsor of religious terrorism.
1564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are giving too much attention on the halving on: January 13, 2020, 02:07:40 PM
This halving is surely more looked over than the last one. 2016 halving created the largest ATH ever in bitcoin price. The last one in 2012 was also followed by rapid growth. It's too unique event to ignore, at least for me.

After impeachment Bill Clinton and Donlad Trump are buddies now.

1566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did the first miners mined bitcoin? on: January 12, 2020, 03:14:41 PM
Yes. When I joined the BTC community, they were discussing that it's no more feasible to solo mine from GPU and need to switch to pools. While some were still mining from CPU.
It was later than ASIC miners were introduced that changed the future of bitcoin mining. Bitmain made some good profit with their hardware.
1567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Storing crypto on an implant? on: January 12, 2020, 03:01:33 PM
Implants could be a hassle but we may soon turn our fingerprints into digital signature and they can turn into private keys or password for your wallet. Thumbprints are natural implants and no one could be sure of your coins as everyone have the prints and you don't have to let it know to anyone while implant of other things would need a surgery or some procedure where the helping person knows about your implant and where it lies.
1568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why you need to store your money in your hands! on: January 12, 2020, 02:21:48 PM
There are different people that use bitcoin and other crypto for different use. If you are holding, keep it with you. If you are trading you need them on exchanges. DEX haven't reached the efficiency of centralized exchange. I did tried day trading on some dex but I had at least one issue on transaction everyday and needed to start a support ticket everyday. That just stops the flow of my trading script. That's why centralized exchange is necessary for traders.
1569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: free advertising for btc? on: January 12, 2020, 01:50:13 PM
Bitcoin has become a hot topic for news and media. They attract a large number of views whether the news is good or bad. Even the mainstream media and news outlets are covered with crypto related news and crypto are making into financial discussions and news into commerce related channels. We don't have to wait long for a dedicated show on a renowned Televisoin channel.
1570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining crypto by walking on: January 11, 2020, 05:53:05 AM
As we move towards IOT, every of our activities would be connected. And as there are different companies working with different product, it would be a trouble to shift from one ecosystem to other. That's why companies need to come up with blockchain based technology to seamlessly communicate between one another and reward users for their use.
1571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Iran keywords Google interest over time explode! on: January 11, 2020, 05:26:19 AM
It's actually the cointelegraph article calling bitcoin is being sold for $24K per unit. Many of the frustrated investors and long term holders might have searched to sell some bitcoin fro a good profit to Iran or just being curious if that is the real case. Bitcoin is being used in Iran for quite a time now. It also has large mines due to its subsidies electricity.
1572  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ukraine wants to search Iran plane crash site for possible Russia missile debris on: January 11, 2020, 04:35:49 AM
Russians wouldn't do this, there's no any benefit in this

He is not suggesting Russians did this, only that they used Russian made weapons to do it.

Iran has already admitted of mistakenly shooting down the plane. This was a great blunder from the side of Iran or the stupid people that were operating the missile whose would lose a huge leverage on the conflict against US. It would be wise for them to stay down for now and promote stabilization of Iraq and Syria.
1573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Forks were profitable today - what happened? on: January 11, 2020, 03:23:27 AM
BitcoinSV is boosted every time Craig has some positive news in his case. BSV is really is a scam just like the founder.
Bitcoincash is a good fork but it's image is too tarnished by how some blind followers try to defame bitcoin and anyone that believe in it.
For me, I've decided not to invest in any of them. Though I occasionally use Bitcoincash while trading.
1574  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Fall Because of China Or Actually They Dominates Bitcoin Mining on: January 11, 2020, 02:13:42 AM
China do control most of the hashpower in bitcoin mining. More than 50% of mining is still done inside China. If bitcoin mining were to be banned, it would have a negative impact on the price. But as of secure, I don't think people in early days ever thought bitcoin mining would be such a large industry. Even if there's no mining in China, it still would be much safer.
1575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin still or altcoins on: January 10, 2020, 03:39:46 PM
Putting all your money on bitcoin could be more profitable but it surely is node a wise idea. No investment expert would suggest you to put all your money on a single asset or field. Though bitcoin may be a sure shot way to succeed but you should always be prepared for the worst case scenario.
1576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you have a $2000 and had to invest in crypto which coins would you buy ? why? on: January 10, 2020, 01:23:34 PM
It depends on many things specially your preference and your intention.
For profit, low capped and new coins can be a highly profitable but high risk opportunity. If you want low risk and good profit, bitcoin would be the best choice in current situation.
Bitcoin is nearing a halving which in the past has always caused a rise in price and we can expect similar this time.
1577  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What will happen when people realise that the world is cooling and not warming? on: January 10, 2020, 10:29:33 AM
Human are the most clever species of the earth. Their cleverness is what made them the dominant species and are one of the most adoptive species.
Human live and flourish in a wide range of temperature -90 to 60 degree Celsius. Humans can devise a solution for every problem.
If we can decrease global warming, we can easily increase it when needed.
1578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Other than bitcoin is it worth to invest in Ripple? on: January 09, 2020, 03:11:47 PM
FXStreet & Express.co.uk Ripple Price Prediction These websites give a moderate prediction saying that XRP has potential and may reach $3-$5 by the end of 2020. This is an assumption based on the fact that Ripple is best Investment opportunity of 2020.

https://coinpedia.org/information/xrp-ripple-price-prediction-2019/

Let me know your point of view on this?

No one in their sane mind would call Ripple the best investment opportunity of 2020. Newer coins would take away that trophy.
And when it comes to profit, we like to compare profit earned by old and large marketcap currencies. And comparing Bitcoin, Ethereum and Ripple, Ripple looks the least probable to have a high rise. Bitcoin is getting a halving and Ethereum an upgrade. Ripple is still struggling to exist.
1579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex no longer asks for verification of new users on: January 09, 2020, 12:35:38 PM
Though Justin Sun claimed he is one of the investors of the new Poloniex but it was Sun and his close people that acquired the exchange. It's not a selling of a share but the whole exchange was sold. Everything changed hands. Poloniex not only has a growing number of Chinese but full owned by people related to Justin Sun on his leadership.
1580  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin pegged token? on: January 09, 2020, 02:45:43 AM
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-bep2/
Bitcoin BEP2 is a Bitcoin pegged BNB chain token by binance. What they did is locked an amount of bitcoin in a wallet and issued the same number of bitcoin tokens. The benefits are faster transaction and lower fees. Soon other would too replicate it and it is somehow similar to what we are trying to achieve through lightning network.
