Even if we haven't seen the bottom as nicely as in the pic provided by Bob, I think there's enough degenerate buying pressure waiting just a couple k away - say, under the psychological $30k threshold. Any wandering beyond that is going to get swallowed by retail and institutional investors alike, with retail making more immediate noise with the spot price. Just hodl and get moar on the dips if you have excess toilet paper fiat. Sorry for the mistake, toilet paper isn't quite as valuable as fiat money anymore. It used to be in March, remember?  Wink

1. helicopter money (Feb?)
2. Grayscale unlocking early Feb.
3. TA and triangles point to early/mid of Feb.

Still bullish.
For the weak hands: So long, and thanks for all the dips  Cheesy

Double spend FUD dispelled by the Master: https://twitter.com/aantonop/status/1352258125932371968?s=21

Excellent explanation (as always) by Andreas Antonopoulos. Thanks Wekkel.

Well thought out.
You know how FUD works, it addresses the weak and uneducated. This is why education is SO important, in this world of ever growing complexity.
What's happening? People were uneducated and easy to control in the darker ages, until just a few hundred years ago (at least in the more wealthy places on earth).
Now TV, followed by social media is "educating" people, while the classic educational system is degrading. Good old superstitions on the rise again. People in first world countries who can't really speak or understand their mother language, and all the social consequences. "Idiocracy" became real already.
Those who know have a choice: Use their educational advantage for good or not. It's just that the problem (miseducation, actually a word with more than one meaning) is so dominant already, there's little chance to turn it back. We're like degrading to apes again, as it seems.

$32k is the lowest we go; this is a dump for ants

 Nice!
Every time I think to give you a merit, I'm out.  I can't seem to hang onto those things.  IOU.

Merited the original post for you.
Thanks, Bob  Cool

EDIT:
What an afternoon. I hope we hit the bottom, now. Funny correlation to some popular shitcoins, rising against BTC while it was dipping, then falling once the Bitcoin dipping recovered. Looks orchestrated, but what do i know  Huh

Twatter FUD or real?

I am hesitating to fire my last few quid off the bank account to the broker.
But then i'd be stepping into over-investment territories.

Bob receives one full sMerit from me if his $32k order gets filled within 23.8 hours.

EDIT: And it's my last sMerit, so i have to really take care not to forget about the bet.
Set my phone to remind me every 30 minutes. This should work.

that $32k won't get filled?

It was already touched 1h ago, so you have quite a good chance to lose this.

This is fine.

...looking to scoop $34k again, and orders in $500 increments all the way down to $30k.
Probably start doubling my buy amounts if we drop into the high $20k's.
EDIT: Ok, and order placed to scoop some dip @ $34.5k because heck why not (double-tapping $34.5k)
EDIT2: $34.5k just got filled as expected.

Yeesh. Woke up to take a piss and saw that I got filled all the way down to $32k. Just added another couple orders trying to double-tap $32.5k and $32k again.

No idea what's going on. Don't care. Methodically continuing to acquire corn.

EDIT: Just got filled @ $32.5k again. I like this pain. feelsgoodman.gif

How low will the Bitcoin price go this time ? An open question for now...

You're comparing this standard and ordely correction to an end of cycle correction.

Dream on man.

So far we're through, imo (according to my line drawings).
Back on track, so going a little lower should be OK, too. The $32k bottom call (by nutilda, iirc) seems valid.

IMO CSW knows Satoshi has passed away.

According to MacAfee (don't hate me for this) he's well alive.

Hal Finney has passed away too. I'm not sure about Dr Adam Back. He is British.

MA also said Satoshi is british, but he is still hiding in anonymity.
Adam Back would be too obvious, i guess. Did he ever make any statement about CSW and his Satoshi-wannabe claims?

why should he do it?

If i were AB, and Satoshi as well, i wouldn't raise a word about CSW, because it would completely oppose my undercover strategy.
A quick google search revealed that Back once said that CSW is not SN, which CSW raised a lawsuit against, but retracted later without comment.

Quote
“The sentiment in Asia at least has been very bearish in the short term, after they saw the retail side is getting too bullish, ” Alex Zuo, vice president of China-based crypto wallet Cobo,
told CoinDesk. He said the recent price surge in alternative cryptocurrencies reflects increased interest from retail investors, who usually tend to react to price volatility more significantly.

As a result, institutions and bitcoin whales are less inclined to put fresh capital into the market. Zuo said. Instead, they are either taking profits by selling on the spot market or executing arbitrate trades by shorting the spot market.

My guess: Whales shorting, insitutions on standby, observing. And then there's that Grayscale "effect".

Quote
Data from on-chain analytics firm CryptoQuant also indicates there is selling pressure on the spot market. The whale ratio on exchanges, which measures the relative size of the top 10 inflows to total inflows for all exchanges, has gone up since last week to above 0.85, meaning that more large bitcoin holders are depositing bitcoin on exchanges. That is considered a sell signal because it could mean large holders of bitcoin are looking to unload their inventory to the market.

Could also mean "altcoin season" is about to gain momentum, also judged by the last few weeks of shit/BTC pairs.

This is what institutions selling looks like.  Embarrassed Embarrassed

Lol, this is what retail sellers looks like.

The difference this time is that any coins you sell will end up in a corporate treasure for decades.

The day / short term swing traders will be decimated

Weren't altcoins invented for them, anyway?

that CSW clown again! Roll Eyes

This guy is very trumpy.
Now BTC, you finally touched my lower boundary projection line, now go up, will you?
2500  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 21, 2021, 09:26:57 AM
looking not good, aunts! we're are going to be poor again.  Cry

EDIT: maybe someone should call Trump for activation of his Proud Boys again?

My projected low was $32.550, BTC bounced at around $32.700 or so, that's why i pulled the trigger.
Feeling more relaxed now because no more fiat left for investments.
