It was already touched 1h ago, so you have quite a good chance to lose this.

Sure. Why not. 24 hours ? This is fine. What’s the bet Bob receives one full sMerit from me if his $32k order gets filled within 23.8 hours. EDIT: And it's my last sMerit, so i have to really take care not to forget about the bet. Set my phone to remind me every 30 minutes. This should work.

I'm hoping for 30k.
Was talking to some friends and I said 32k wasn't unreasonable the day after the election because Dems are going to want to regulate the love out of crypto. Surprised that I was right, a little bit.
I am hoping for 1-2 months for a 20-24k buying position. Obviously I'd love for bitcoin to remain strong but these spikes always have massive corrections back to where they came from.

Source : tradingview Monthly chart. I am keeping a close eye on the MACD indicator. 1st of February should be interesting. I suspect MACD to signal a trend change either 1st of February, or the next month.

She may be nuts, but who put her in charge is a dork Yellen also said she wants to "curtail" bitcoin because, she claims, it's used for money laundering. Countless billions USD go through the money laundry, yet Yellen doesn't want to "curtail" the use of dollars. The needle of my double standard detector is pinned at the right end of the scale. Yellen's going to be just as bad as Mnuchin was. She fears bitcoin and wants to kill it. And she'll fail like the rest of her sociopathic mafia pals

An attempt to tax unrealized capital gains would be a disaster for the new administration. I understand they need to scrape what they can, but this would bite deep into the ass of the vanishing middle class. Most of Biden voters wouldn't understand, and rightly so.

Hmm, don't think you'll be needing many reminders ... Bitstamp below $32k now, I think any orders down to $30k are likely to be filled.

It's just a distraction, they'll act like this is a last resort and a consquence of the previous adminstrations inaction. Then all of a sudden there'll be a breakthrough, and they'll find that MMT is a much more sensible option. They are certainly not going to hurt hard working american families with a tax on unrealised capital gains. That's something the evil other people would do.

Which is exactly why it will never happen.

Nice cup of tea this morning! Got to get myself one of those, but I don't drink coffee or tea. I guess I can always leave it at work when I retire at the end of this year. you know those cups can hold alcohol too right 4 shots to a cup iirc

Which is exactly why it will never happen. an attempt to tax unrealized gains would send the stock market into the abyss. everyone would want to get at least some realized gains (even if taxed) rather than paying a tax on unrealized gains (which are only paper gains that are useless). that crash would eliminate the unrealized gains and there would be 1) no unrealized gains = no tax 2) no gains at all = no tax on gains possible has this been done before?
