Dash Masternode Count Reaches All-Time High in Market Recovery Dash’s masternode count has reached a new all-time high as the markets begin to recover.
Last December, Dash reached an all-time high of about $1,600 per coin. Over January and early February, the cryptocurrency markets collectively crashed, falling from an all-time high of $835 billion to a recent low of $279 billion. Dash similarly fell to a recent low of $382 during the first week of February, before joining the rest of the market in a recovery. Present price is about $700
Now, a new all-time high in masternodes has been achieved, reaching 4,719 for the first time.I thought 4,719 was our ATH for awhile now ? Today we got to 4,718, so we are really close at reaching ATH (again) and then hopefully passing it.  |

How long does it take to fork a dash coin to something like PIVX ?
Depends what elements of Dash you want to fork with it. Dash currently has : POW mining (X11) (miners get 45% of the block reward) Masternode network (masternodes get 45% of the block reward) Decentralized Budget System (10% of the blockreward is reserved for this) Decentralized Governance System (masternode owners vote over budget proposals) InstantSend (optional : transactions can get confirmed instantly) PrivateSend (optional : transactions can be sent in a private way, which make tracing them on the blockchain incredibly difficult) DAO Setup (Decentralized Autonomous Organisation) and Dash is working towards a major update called Dash Evolution, which extends above elements with new elements focussed on userfriendly and scalability. In order to become a successfull fork from Dash a cryptocurrency needs to have all of the above and also have them improved and extended in some way. I think that will be very difficult to accomplish. Already there are tons of Dash forks out there, so the competition will be brutal. |

Hey American Dash MN holders and miners, how y'all reporting your DASH earnings for 2017 taxes? Are you going through each day of the year and doing a USD to DASH daily conversion or what? I just need to get ahead of this, because the IRS is the largest leviathan of the Federal Govt.

I think that this currency can be used for short-term speculation. I think that this coin will not be suitable as a long-term investment.
I think you do not know this currency very well, to make that statement. Do you even know about Dash masternode system ? And how that effects long-term investment ? |

Wouldn't beat yourself up too much, although if you mined right at the beginning. Wow. I think this is probably quite common among the earliest miners. Why hold XCoin?Cost of a masternode is down quite a lot from what it was though. But yes Dash is a serious player and underestimated and undervalued. The first coin with masternodes network and governance and treasury ie the first Dao. First, or one of the first privacy coins. I only need to look at the price of bitcoin cash to know that Dash is way undervalued. Bitcoin cash offers a bitcoin type coin with big blocks. Thats it. Dash, I even forgot instant transactions. Low fees. But Litecoin too? Wtf is litecoin doing above Dash? Market is irrational. But such is life. Another above Dash is EOS!!! Wtf. Its a token and a whitepaper. Is there even alpha software for it yet? Wtf!! Lol Dash is awesome. I am a fan. edit.. I forgot to rant about Ripple. Wtf! Ripple the token in which billions were created, but most are hodl'd by the company that created them out of thin air, pretended to be Open Source. Is centralised and I don't think it even has a blockchain. It has a centralised ledger which is held on an excel spreadsheet as I presume it. I think we will see a re-shift in ranks on coinmarketcap again pretty soon, specifically between rank 5 and lower. I also think rank 5 will be reclaimed by Dash, once its longterm upward trend gather strength and other crypto's longterm downward trend accelerate. And then after Dash Evolution got launched on mainnet, Dash can think about overtaking Bitcoin Cash and Ripple (maybe in 2019). |
