Reports today that Ayton is close to finalizing a deal to go to the Indians Pacers. If they let Ayton go in a trade that doesn’t also involve Kevin Durant going to the Suns it is going to end up being one of the worst moves Phoenix has made in a long time. It’s crazy to see an NBA franchise acting so emotionally. I imagine that whatever happened between Ayton and management was enough that they were unwilling to even offer him a contract extension.

I agree, you don't get people like aytun come through your organization all that often.  If he goes I wonder what theor plan is for the middle of the paint.  They are so close to having a championship team don't know why they'd want to rock the boat here.  SMH:/

I know this is an older thread but just saw matic on theor along with the other coins and just wanted to throw out there that matic might be the best of all of them.  They are doing things comparable to eth but only more efficient.  Might be a good price point right now to jump in if you haven't already.
2543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bear markets are a time for building, development and research on: July 11, 2022, 07:49:31 PM
I saw a thread suggesting that new coins will bring big profit. This is true, however, these new projects that might bring big profit are harder to find during a bear market. This is not anymore a market where you can buy the most stupid coin similar to memecoins and profit 100x. This time we need to do more research on the project, what it does, the tokenomics, how much coins or tokens are issued and how much are emitted daily, weekly or monthly and the development team, if they are good and if they have enough funds to develop the project all throughout the bear market.

Also, it is important that you should not be wasteful with the money, bitcoins or stablecoins you have left for investing. The market might be bad for months, years or longer. Be cautious and do the research. Invest in good development teams.

Yeah and most of them are scams so in a downtime the coins that actually survive have a good chance of appreciation onelce the next bull comes.  Betting on new coins in an already bullarket is smoke and mirrors.  Once the downturn comes most just disappear along with your initial investment into it.
2544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shorting lunc (former original luna) and losing 99% assets on: July 11, 2022, 07:45:08 PM
Even sharp fall as LUNC could make you lose assets.

A good article, cause I was one of those who thought it's that easy.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/korean-startup-uprise-lost-20m-shorting-luna

Well of course.  Any asset that is crazy volatile like luna right now will end up getting you called if you are on margin.  Why in the world would you short or long anything like lun is beyond me lol.

I knows it's just summer league but quentin grimes on the Knicks just looks different.  Kid looks way better than even just the end of last year.  Best one on the court for 2 straight games.  Think the Knicks finally found theor sg of the future.
2546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will DOGE go back to sub $0.01 prices ever again? on: July 11, 2022, 04:14:40 PM
The market has been on a downtrend for quite a while now. Bitcoin, as well as other cryptocurrencies have seen their value wiped out within a matter of days. Investors are quite disappointed with how prices are falling at a fast pace. Some are beginning to believe crypto is dead (which we know that's not the case), while others see this as a huge buying opportunity to buy lots of coins at a discount.

One of the coins that was severely affected is Dogecoin. The "meme" cryptocurrency has seen its price up go mainly because of Elon Musk hyping it across social media platforms. But right after the Terra/LUNA and Celsius scandal happened, things have changed. Elon Musk has been silent (as far as I'm aware) for quite a while. Without someone to "pump" Dogecoin, prices will continue to decline like there's no tomorrow. The coin is changing hands at around $0.05 (at the time of this writing), but it could fall lower if BTC dives lower in price.

I'm wondering if DOGE will go back to sub $0.01 prices ever again? If it never does, will that mean DOGE will someday go all the way to $0.50 per coin? I'd like to know your thoughts about this. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley

I think it will eventually retrace all the way back.  The hard part of usd pricing alts is its alldepemdent on bitcoin and what bitcoin/usd is.  If bitcoin spikes to 100k then maybe not but if bitcoin retraces to 10k its a likely fall for doge as well.  Ultimately with the 10k per doge being minted per minute I think price is just unsustainable.

It looks like Ja Morant went overboard with his statement, hehehe

Ja Morant says he'd beat Michael Jordan in his era

Well I guess who have been following basketball for years and see Michael Jordan plays will not agree with Morant here.

He needs to get a ring, not just 1 or 2 or 3, he need to get 7, be a two way player, MVP's and beat everyone in his generation. So far he has none of that.

I don't think anyone INCLUDING Ja would agree with that statement.  Ja is a good exciting young player but Mike was different.  Nobody beat Mike, no one.
2548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Grand Lotto Winner on: July 11, 2022, 04:10:54 PM
Recently someone in our country just won a whopping 401Million Pesos(7+Million dollars) from our 6/55 Grand Lotto and another Winner of 5.9Million Pesos(105k Dollars) from our 6/42 Lotto draw. I am happy for these two winners but I am a little worried since the Lotto Organizer mentioned what city they are from. I hope that the Lotto organizer never mentions their names since these people who just had a life-changing experience could be in danger if they ever revealed their names.

here's the link if you are curious about the article https://www.pna.gov.ph/articles/1178611

In the states it's common to announce the winner.  Depending on what state you live they announce or they allow you to stay anonymous.  There have been plenty of bad stories about lottery winners and things that people do to them strictly for the money.

DireWolf Im guessing you’ve utilized the mock drafts that both ESPN and Yahoo run? Those are pretty helpful to get a sense of how things will go , but annoyingly a lot of people will just bail on the mocks a couple rounds in so can be a while before you can find one where everyone stays for the majority of it.

No, I haven't messed around with those mock-ups this year, at least not yet.  I might do so later.  I do find it annoying when people bail after a couple of rounds.  I don't recall it being common last year when I messed around, but that was probably because I waited until the last week before the real draft, lol.

You definitely should. Honestly would be kinda fun if a few of us that will be playing in a league got together and participated in one (though just trying to get everyone to show up to the actual draft is hard enough lol). Anyways both ESPN and Yahoo run a ton of those mock drafts. They have both snake and auction draft types as well as drafts for 8 man, 10 man etc. The week before the season starts is normally when those really get ramped up and people tend to take them a little more seriously. When those open up I’ll send you a link to them.

Yeah I usually run through a couple just to see how I will adjust if my main targets each round aren't around.  The mocks get pretty close to the real thing when you break it down outside of a couple zingers people throw in.  I like seeing what new guys pop in the higher rounds to get a Guage on rookies too.  They are always the toughest to judge.
2550  Economy / Economics / Re: The current crypto bear could end the market. on: July 09, 2022, 08:20:42 PM
Elon musk used to have muscle in moving prices on small coins like doge.  But the mere mention of bitcoin by him doesn't move the needle, bitxoin doesn't need elon or in fact any influencer. We are past those times, at least for bitcoin.
2551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 09, 2022, 08:18:24 PM
Now its proven that he cannot lift up his team when he's on Brooklyn and this one indicate that they don't need Durant to win another championship.

Is it really on just Durant's hand to carry and lift the Brooklyn Nets? He is averaging 29PPG last season and his other stats are good as well.

His teammates should also do their work. The overall roster of the Nets in the recent season is even worst compared to his OKC days.

Nets can't be carried by a single player, especially Durant. They need teamwork.

But regardless, since Kevin Durant already express his interest to be traded, there's no way the Nets should keep him on the roster next season. The motivation and determination are already not there to play for the team in long term. Unfortunate to see that kind of relationship. When Durant signed a 4-year extension last year, the whole Brooklyn Nets is so happy that there will be more seasons that Durant will stay on them and expected to build a legacy on that team. It was all mentioned in the media interview and now looked at what happened.

Having a franchise star like KD is one of the best thing to happen in each team inside the league, not just for the title but more on

the fan based and the potential profits each season NBA have; I don't see KD's interest in continuing his long-term relationship with the

Nets management, with that intention being traded, is enough sign that he's no longer willing to give his best. They need to let him go

and find the best prospect, not a good separation, but that's how business works.

Agreed but Nets hold the cards here.  Durant is signed for 4 years they can screw him and send him to a crap franchise for a boat load of picks.  Nothing really Durant can do.  If I were the Nets I'd consider sending to a small aren't team who would give tons of picks and young ayers in return because they can never sign someone like Durant.  That's just business too.
2552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 3 Arrows Capital is dumping Ethereum? on: July 08, 2022, 10:43:09 PM
Well based on how gas was and the cost of doing business on the eth platform I can't blame them.  There are other platforms that are much better in trs of efficiency, like matic/polygon.  Only thing eth has is first mover advantage.  Other than that why would you pay the fees like you do on eth?
2553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you guys invest meme coins now? on: July 08, 2022, 10:41:03 PM
So right now the market is unpredictable. Even in this condition as we all can see most YouTubers and even Kucoin, and Binance exchanges promote meme coins. What would you guys do about this meme coins project? are you guys ok to invest in these coins or rather not invest this time? because most famous coins like shib, and doge are now in the dip as we can see.

You are kidding right?  Ask yourself this, what is the point of owning a meme coin.  It was last years run of greed, lightning never strikes twice, do yourself a favor and put your money into things that are worth it.  Bitcoin, eh hem
2554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: July 08, 2022, 10:21:27 PM
Bob aram is literally why this fight never happened before along with some of the other fights that passed.  Glad the dude is own his own to make these fights happen.  Hopefully more boxers stop combining over money and go the route Crawford is they can chose to fight a guy if they want to no matter the terms.  Was so glad when I heard Bob was off the grid.

If that's the case then Terence Crawford should accept without hesitation the much smaller cut. The purpose of fighting Errol Spence is his target for a long and that should be the reason why he should move forward on this fight regardless of how much he will receive as long as it's a reasonable price.

In my posted article before, the reason for the delay announcement is about the split but Crawford makes assurance that it's not that really a problem for them to finally settle a deal. I'm sure what's left to be finalized are all small things to consider.

We just have to wait patiently for the official announcement as it's still several months to go before the fight happened.

I mean I wouldn't just take anything if I was Crawford.  Point being Bob Arum it wasn't always pure dollars and cents, he always wanted to set up fights that would favor a fighter over another.  If Crawford loses he loses interest for ppv fights.  Bob knows that.
2555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 08, 2022, 10:19:19 PM
There is a rumor that Pacers are interested on the services of DeAndre Ayton. They are negotiating a sign and trade centered on Miles Turner.

However, we have heard that Phoenix is also interested on KD. If they push this one, they might be erasing their chances to land the KD sweepstakes. Or it might take more players from them, maybe they will have to include Booker now or Crowder and Bridges.

That would be a terrible move for Phoenix. Turner is decent but not on the level of Ayton.  If Durant is on the table then yep aytun should be on the move but I'd be highly surprised if Phoenix would ever make this move.
2556  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Topps Allen & Ginter Reference Thread on: July 08, 2022, 10:16:37 PM
I'm more inclined to believe that these are legit pulls from legit boxes. If someone were to go to the extreme lengths of making a very high quality forgery (of the card alone), then I'd expect them to take similar care with the autos and make them look just as authentic / high quality. The fact that the autos are so blatantly bad, suggests to me that the cards are real, but the autos, forged. Likely, a Topps employee (or team employee) was told to sign the cards in absence of the players. Whether the cards were signed this way with the knowledge and permission of both players is the question in my mind. The answer could ruin Topps as well as endanger the career of both players. Topps is screwed, regardless.

Staying tuned...

Chris@TBPCo.

Could be but honestly I don't think topps would ruin decades of integrity for a randy arozerena auto fake, I mean at least make it from someone good 😅.

I'd bet 99% this is just a fake from easy or evay and not a box pull.  Unless I seen it coming straight out of a legit box I just can't see them throwing in awful forgeries.
2557  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Topps Allen & Ginter Reference Thread on: July 08, 2022, 04:41:17 PM
I'm suspect that they were pulled directly from a box.  There are auto forgeries all over the sport right now, with the card looking exact with the topps certified stamp and all.  Unless they are seen pulled from a topps box someone probably just trolling.  Or they generally bought them thinking they were real only to find out now they aren't.
2558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Sentiment Poll for July on: July 07, 2022, 10:50:54 PM
^  Do you want to make a small side bet out of it?  Just 10 bucks for fun.  Grin  I say ETH goes down below 1k USD and touches 800 - 850 range within the year.  The bounce we're seeing now really feels like it's just that...  A normal bear market bounce before it all starts trending back down again.  Dunno...  But I'm pretty sure you know what I'm talking about as you have been watching the market for as long as I am.

Yeah this is one of those type of couple day pumps that people think all is well again and then gets shattered one one fell swoop and continues down.  Nothing is showing this is sustainable I agree this will probably swing right back down soon.  Tough times ahead I think unfortunately
2559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about altcoin market on: July 07, 2022, 10:49:10 PM
In this current situation of market it is risky to invest in alt-coin for long-term. And we can't ensure that what is going to happen next. So my advice would be for you that refrain investment in alt-coin. Or you can also wait for more dip.  But it will be better to invest in btc now if you you want the security cause after the incident of Luna we can't believe any altcoin. My think is now is to avoid alt-coins except ( the top pairs like-bnb, eth ltc etc)
Investing in any altcoin must be more careful because without us realizing Luna was previously included in the list of top coins but could drop significantly to almost no price anymore, we must learn from experience with Luna coins that don't trust altcoins too much and we have to make decisions to cut losses before big losses. After the big loss incident from Luna, then my altcoin only recommends ETH and BNB coins.
Having a bad experience with Luna is something that would open our minds not to trusting the project easily unless it was been proven. Many of these kinds of project turn to scam and sadly, nobody has been able to figure it out early before people had been attracted and invested more. Now, it is to realize that investing in new projects is risky, and considering them for long-term investment is not ideal, we'd rather use to choose known altcoins like ETH if that would be our plan.

It takes some logic as well.  If someone is offering to large of a return that is economically unable to stay up then yeah it will eventually fall the way of luna.  There are some good projects out there but I wouldn't speculate in this type of market even though the last couple days looked decent.  Think it's false hope right now.
2560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 07, 2022, 10:46:18 PM

You're right. The results of the Nets and Lakers are a prime example that a lot of all-star players on one team is an ineffective and pointless strategy. I think the Nets management should find one dedicated all-star player and build a cohesive team around him. However, as you said, that could take a long time, and it's unlikely they can do that during this offseason. Honestly, I expect the Nets will probably be the underdogs next season.

And because the Brooklyn Nets were swept by the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference first-round series it was a devastating loss that surely made a lot of ripple on the internet and said that the only team that had been swept in the 1st round of the series, with 2 of NBA's finest all-star, this surely triggered so much commotion and report on how this happens, so I think they refresh their strategy and thinking in building their team with only 1 all star or still keeping both but build excellent support for both players, in my opinion in the offensive side the Brooklyn Nets is a sure monster when it comes to offense but in the defensive side I think the Nets need to work out on that,

Correct, and even if they have disbanded the role players (GPII, Porter, JTA and 2 others), they can still replace them with new players that will fit that role again. They already got one in like Donte Divincenzo who might be a good replacement for either GPII or D. Lee. They also have a good pick in Pat Baldwin Jr. and Gui Santos. Unknown name for now, but for sure when we see them played, we will be again awe at how Warriors are good at picking relatively unknown players and turn them into superstars. So it's better for them not to get KD at this point.

I think the Golden State Warriors are just focusing on the trading of their latest roster and adding additional players that may become future all-stars one day, and in addition to that they have signed a two-way contract on Lester Quiñones, a new player but we will see in the future if he has what it takes to be the next Jordan Poole or Stephen Curry, and they also have a new Drafted Patrick Baldwin Jr. Round 1 - Pick 28th that I think has a potential to be the next Kevon Looney with a 6 ft 9 in (2.06 m) in height, so relatively they really don't need a Kevin Durant anymore, the players of the Golden State are reaching their potential, and I think it is because of the way they trained and how they manage their players

There should no value adding Durant to their core team and then losing a lot of players. They already lost their best defenders in Otto Porter and Gary Payton Jr, and wing man Juan Toscano, although his time has been limited since the return of Thompson.

Poole and Wiggins and then their future Wiseman, who they have waited for more than a year to heal and recover because they want him to be part of their championship DNA will just be traded?

I also think that the Golden State Warriors will not make a contract on Durant after what he did last time, and Otto Porter, Garry Payton Jr., and Juan Toscano? I haven't seen the article yet and it was never been updated on their wiki page, so I am still doubting it, losing these three players for me was sad, I really think they have fit the Warriors perfectly and GP2 was a great defender for that purpose but I think the Management surely have a plan and as new players have come older players need to go,

Baldwin is not a Kevin looney type.  The kid is more a wing who can handle the ball.  Was highly recruited out of high-school with tons of potential but went to a small college to follow his dad and only played in a coue games which he underperformed.  Golden state was probably the best fit for him in that he can learn from the likes of a klay and Wiggins to grow into a bigger role down the line.
