2541  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PayWide virtual NO-KYC crypto cards? on: September 06, 2022, 03:24:02 PM
I never heard of this website before even here on the forum it isn't mentioned here on the forum.

I check it on Whois and look at the result

Code:
Domain:paywide.io
Registrar:GoDaddy.com, LLC
Registered On:2022-03-14
Expires On:2023-03-14
Updated On:2022-03-31

It's 6 months old domain so it means it's a newly registered website with poor SEO and honestly, I can't even access the website it is not good to test the website I'm sure it's a scam better not to access the website to avoid any attacks in your IP.
2542  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 1246 network status not working. on: September 06, 2022, 02:41:53 PM
The other miner are the same Avalon 1246 85th.

I have just check the network configuration and all look great.
I have also change the worker name with one of my friend and the problem still the same.

The only difference between the four asic is the firmware. The asic who not working have a different firmware of the three other since I have change the control board

Would you mind using a tool to check if your network and miners are set up properly?
You can use the Canaan tool called the FMS app you can download it here https://canaan.io/service/447
And diagnose the issue there if its a pool issue it is marked as red or if it's an IP issue it's the same marked as red same goes for other issues better use the manual on how to use the tool.

Also, try to reset your unit to the factory default you can hold the reset button or IPreport button for 10 seconds then release it to restore it to factory default.

If it still does not work try the aging process using the FMS tool to refresh this unit.
If nothing else works there might be an issue on the mac address and maybe one of the units has the same mac address it could also lead to a connection problem.
2543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Using .dat wallet without downloading the blockchain? on: September 05, 2022, 10:27:11 PM
Also... do you know a safe way to find my master public key only using my wallet.dat and my password?

I understand that this is a sensitive subject, but I did not save my master public key when I was first trying this out years ago...

The master public key is only used for the watch-only wallet you don't have full control of your wallet you need to extract the private key from wallet.dat and then sweep/import it to Electrum but it would be much safe if you sweep it to your new Electrum wallet.

To get the private key from your wallet.dat without fully sync you need Bitcoin core installed on your PC and make sure the prune mode is disabled you can check it on the bitcoin core settings to disable it and close it and open it again. Go to help and look for debug window and then go to console tab or you can go to window then console then type this command below

Code:
walletpassphrase "your walletpassphrase here" 600
Make sure you still know the exact password of your wallet.dat

And then send this command to get the private key

Code:
dumpprivkey (Bitcoin address you want to export private key)

It will show you the private key and then open your Electrum wallet and import/sweep it there.
2544  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 1246 network status not working. on: September 05, 2022, 10:09:50 PM
Hi BitMaxz thank for your reply.

So for you the problem just come from a problem with the internet connection ?

Something is strange because the three other asic with the same hub, same pool adress and same worker name are working fine…

Yes, based on your current logs above. Can you try to check if that miner is set to DHCP/Static mode if it is set to Static switch it to DHCP to let the miner use a unique local IP sometimes if the miner is set to static IP and another the device uses the same IP the miner internet not work properly so switching it to DHCP can solve this problem.

If it didn't work try to disconnect all devices and only run this miner.

Also, would you mind telling us exactly what pool you are currently mining and what other ASIC miners you have?
Because if you are mining in Nicehash with this unit it won't mine unlike other ASIC miner like Antminer units doesn't have any issue mining on Nincehash. Avalon units usually have problems connecting to the Nicehash pool.
2545  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: best way to keep cold storage wallet, but connect it to internet rarely to send. on: September 05, 2022, 09:39:46 PM
I think for a newbie without action you will never know what you are doing it seems you don't understand everything about cold storage wallet.

Based on what I understand of your topic title you want a cold storage wallet but are rarely connected to the internet. Actually, once the PC/laptop that you currently use is connected to the internet where your cold wallet is installed then it shouldn't call it a cold storage.
A cold storage should be remain offline forever and never connect it to the internet.

A cold storage wallet has a master public key that thing is what you need to create a watch-only wallet where you can monitor your wallet balance, create unsigned hex transactions and broadcast a signed transaction.
If you want to test your wallet on the first offline wallet generation you should start by depositing a small amount of BTC and test everything like sending it to another wallet before you deposit a big amount.
2546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining in Lebanon on: September 05, 2022, 02:20:57 PM
I don't know what is current electricity rate in your country but if you are living in an area with very cheap electricity then it would be a good choice if you buy ASIC units except if your current electricity rate is above $0.15. ASIC units are power-hungry compared to GPU mining. So it depends on your current location if you have a cheap electricity rate.

If you already decided to buy ASIC there are some cheap offers from Canaan here https://shop.canaan.io
2547  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 1246 network status not working. on: September 05, 2022, 01:37:11 PM
It looks normal but look at the "NETFAIL" it has values which I think your problem is related to the internet Hashboards look fine and according to your logs under this BOOTBY[0x04.00000000] Based on Canaan description logs it means "AM_BOOTBY_WEB" so it is related to an internet connection problem.
Another thing is this log "POOLS[0]" shows 0 which means "Pool network bad".

Would you mind checking if you have stable internet and also try to switch to another pool if you are mining on Nicehash I suggest switch to ViaBTC pool.
2548  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining with solar panel+battery+inverter is it possible ? on: September 05, 2022, 12:53:04 PM
Yes, that's possible depending on what miner and solar setup you have make sure your solar setup can provide enough power that can run a single ASIC miner.

I'm sure you will spend a lot to build a solar just to run a single ASIC miner because it requires high wattage but if the budget is not your problem then you can build 10,000w solar panels and mine without worrying about the electricity bill. 10k watts build I think can run a single s9 and s19 pro unit it will run 24 hours depending on the weather condition and the quality you harvest from the solar.
2549  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I use Bitcoin in a country that it is banned? on: September 04, 2022, 11:57:29 PM
This is pretty risky if you are going to deal with someone in p2p exchange and maybe one of them is government anytime they can seize.

I think if you want to withdraw them safely into your bank without worrying about Bitcoin being banned convert them into USD there are some sites that can do that but you need to have accounts like skrill, Neteller, Payoneer, or any digital currencies account where you can able to receive USD after you convert Crypto.
The one who can help you achieve that thing is this https://www.bestchange.com/ I don't how these users above who promote don't mention it.

After you convert them you can now withdraw them and convert USD to your local currency. Just make sure if you find an exchange in bestchange deal only to exchanges that do not sell private information and don't require KYC.
2550  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Password encryption into private key possible? on: September 04, 2022, 11:40:13 PM
Based on what I understand I think the OP is looking for software or anything that could encrypt the private key I tried the Bitaddress but it won't encrypt a private key that you already generated it only generates it's own private key Brainwallet and coinb.in also have this option to add a passphrase to encrypt the private key.

Why not use a tool called OpenSSL? This is usually used for encrypting or decrypting private key files(with your private key).
You can encrypt it with aes256 and there is a guide on the youtube how to do it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ij4hagieFjc
2551  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: no server were found on: September 04, 2022, 10:56:36 PM
Did you get any resolution...? Please help with the same
Apologized delayed responded. As previous posted at March 25, I turn-off router's airprotection (if you have this option on router webUI) then should be solve the problem.

Cheers

Not all routers have the same settings as air protection I don't have that thing in my router most likely some pools are banned from ISP or blocked from the router firewall disabling it or adding DNS to your pi can bypass this issue and sometimes you need to disable all protection under anti-DDOS attack(SyN/DoS/DDoS) to make your miner work properly or use other pool it should fix this issue.
2552  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Need help locating seed phrase in IOS files. on: September 03, 2022, 11:53:47 PM
If you don't have a seed backup anywhere on your PC/phone or paper backup then you can't able to recover them. Seed backup is very important for future wallet recovery like your case if you have the backup seed you can recover your wallet right away.

Do you have recently sync your data to iCloud? I heard that encrypted Coinbase data can be synced to iCloud it includes private keys and is encrypted with AES-256-GCM and can be only accessed with the Coinbase app. If you can find that exact data maybe you can brute-force that file to decrypt it and extract the private keys but the problem is no one knows what data you need to find exactly.

Jailbreaking the phone maybe can help you access those Coinbase hidden files may be one of the data under that Coinbase hidden files is your wallet which includes private keys.
Why not try to jailbreak it without people's help?
I just don't trust other people to jailbreak it and know that it has a big amount of BTC in your Coinbase wallet.
There are two options for Jailbreaking IOS phones untethered and tethered if you choose untethered it's permanently jailbroken but if you choose tethered it's temporarily jailbroken so you must choose tethered because untethered can be only removed jailbroken if you restore the iPhone.
2553  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Which miner to choose if you dont care about efficiency? on: September 03, 2022, 11:24:55 PM
This may seem a bit unrelated, but I just have to ask, why are models/series of miners with high failure rates still kept in the market? and how come people still purchase them even with their bad reviews?

If you see those miners on the marketplace they are used units Bitmain is no longer producing old units like s17/t17.
If you found them on the marketplace those are not brandnew and some of them are not 100% working.
There are many reasons why people still buy them he might be a newbie, cheap or to learn about mining or maybe they know how to repair them and make a profit.
2554  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining BTC with gpu on: September 03, 2022, 11:03:50 PM
wow I wouldn't have guessed they are tiny lol are they as profitable as mining shitcoins with a gpu? or do they only make pennies per day

Actually, compact F can mine other sha256 coins like you said shitcoin but you can mine Bitcoin directly to the pool and build more than 40+ of them and make $1+ a day with low power compared to mining with GPU. You can have a more compact F if you are looking for profit or only have it for a lottery. The only problem is that the price is a bit expensive compared to buying used s9 miner.

I hope that you are not spreading any links you can just edit your old post and merge them instead of constantly posting.

And another thing is that the official thread of this Compac F can be found here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1764803.0

2557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you think bear market is affecting Bitcoin (Crypto currencies) so badly on: September 02, 2022, 03:49:01 PM
If not work out then Im sure there are believer there somewhere in the crypto space. People tend to get sxare when investing on crypto and they should be cause scam is real. But we are talking about bitcoin here decades of exposure and continuous building and development on the network. If no one would believe that btc could be a million worth then I'll stop believing too but for sure not only me (assuming it will happen in thr future - no dates and years)

All crypto holders and buyers have different perspectives on how they can make a profit with Bitcoin or crypto holding is one of the best to do since we see every blockhalving the price of Bitcoin increase including altcoins. Since blockhalving is reducing the block rewards if the demand is the same the price of Bitcoin will continue to increase. However, to those who know about blockhalving more people come to buy more Bitcoin because they know the price would increase which leads to demand increase that is why the price of Bitcoin after blockhalving skyrockets.

If you know the history of Bitcoin as you can see it's a cycle and I believe it will happen again but no one knows exactly what will happen to Bitcoin in the future. It might be different however, there is still a big chance that it will happen again and reach the new ATH. The dates and years should start after block halving based on my own analysis.
2558  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: can configure the Antminer S19+Pro Hydro to be able to accept this voltage by pu on: September 02, 2022, 03:19:24 PM
No, it won't work this unit PSU requires 380v to 415v so you need to provide enough voltage to make it work and I think you are trying to use DC to this which it will never work.
Since you mention you have solar power with battery, you need to convert DC to AC to be able to convert it you need the inverter to turn DC to AC.

What I think is you are trying to use the DC voltage 58v directly to each hashboards? I think it will burn the hashboard because the required voltage of each hashboard is 17v-21.6v according to PSU specs.

The PSU of s19+pro hydro has two DC outputs you can provide 17-21.6 volts output at 380v input or provide 12v output at 220v input. So I think even if you have an inverter you will need inverter that can provide 380v but I never heard that there is an inverter that can provide a much higher voltage output you might need a step-up transformer to be able to reach that voltage.
2559  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Awareness of scam on social media will help reduce scam on: September 02, 2022, 10:09:15 AM
Most of the people who are trapped are those greedy people, they think they can withdraw free big money on the site but in the end, it asks for a withdrawal fee, and then if you deposit any amount it is automatically sent to another wallet.

Obviously, the scheme was made for scamming purposes only, and newbies without asking the community can easily scam by this scheme.
I'm also one of the people who was being scammed before that is why I search for places where I can ask how to retrieve them that is why I found this forum but their answer told me all Bitcoin transactions are reversible and no one can able to retrieve Bitcoin from a scam website. That's why I learn and always be careful with any deal that I made with anyone who trades with me that involves Bitcoin. I learn a lot here on the forum and I hope this forum can be easily found on google search because I have different search results on my son's laptop but this forum won't show up, unlike on my PC.
2560  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Mining Softwares for S19J Pros on: September 01, 2022, 11:49:01 PM
Almost all modded firmware is the same the only difference is the developer's fee. You already mention the 5 pros of this firmware but the dev fees are different.

Like awesomeminer developer's fee is 2.8% and then Vnish firmware Dev fee 1.6-1.9% only for S9/T9, 2.6- 2.9% for S17/T17 and above units and for braiin's dev fee 2-2.5%.
