2541  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitcoin mining at home on: November 08, 2022, 10:39:10 PM
yeah a lot depends on your appetite to spend .

you could buy a few bitmain s-19 xp units at 6k each

and you could buy a immersion cooler for 2 k.  your cost would be over 15k

but it would be quiet and not need much maintenance .

Why not buy the s19/pro-Hydro version instead? It's way more cheaper than buying s19 XP and immersion cooling.

The only downside is that they will release the s19 hyd this December, and the pro version is next year in January.
2542  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What crypto payment gate is the best? survey of criteria, and pack of TOP charts on: November 08, 2022, 04:02:15 PM
I have never heard of most of the payment gateway listed above. I don't know how did you get them.

And take note Coinpayments is not offering a service in a few countries. If you have customers living in those restricted countries, I'm sure they will lock your account.

I also would like to clarify about fsfpay, but you mentioned above that is fafpay?

I tried to access the website fsfpay, but I notice the year at the bottom of this website it said it's 2007-2022 but the domain is November 2020 not 2007.

I never heard fsfpay and I don't know how did you get them unless you just created this thread to promote those suspicious payment gateway?
2543  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Are miners paid premium over market price for mined Bitcoin? on: November 08, 2022, 03:32:26 PM
I mine, but I usually exchange them directly to any exchange. I don't use any mixer for virgin BTC since it's clean and came from the pool.

I guess that is why they mix or trade BTC in P2P exchange due to privacy. Also, I think some country before ban mining, so possible those who are secretly mining want to withdraw a few BTC to pay bills and the only way they can do this is to trade them in a P2P exchange or use a mixer to make sure they don't have any traces that they are mining.
2544  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: HELP PLEASE -Lost ALL my miners after internet outage? on: November 08, 2022, 03:10:39 PM
Seems you already tried almost all available firmware for s9 miner. If all doesn't fix the issue then there might be issue on power supply you need some extra PSU to test or if not then hashboard has some shorted components that leads into this issue.

Can you tell us how much amp that fuse can handle? If it just 5amp fuse then it would blew.

I also want to suggest to check the hashboard you can follow this guide below it needs multitester to check components and test points.

2545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Found my old wallet.dat which seems to be corrupted. Please Help. on: November 07, 2022, 11:56:19 PM
Yes, that is exactly what happens. The salvaged wallet file doubles in size for some reason, and when loaded thru the core it says its corrupted.

Do you still have the original drive? Do you mind creating a new clone drive again and repeat the procedure to recover the wallet.dat file? This time make sure to use other software to recover them and other tools to create a new clone copy of your disks like Acronis, ghost, or Clonezilla.

I suggest burn a Hiren's BootCD or BartPE. It has  many tools to use to clone and recover deleted files.

Why don't you start editing your thread? Why keep consecutive posting? It's prohibited. You likely keep bumping your thread.

Anyway, try to flash it back to stock firmware since you said that you already had experienced it before and solved your case after reverting it to stock firmware.

If you had problem contacting Braiins support I'd suggest try to contact them on this thread below

2547  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: ANTMINER S9 MESSAGE LOW HASHRATE CHIP on: November 07, 2022, 11:50:31 AM
If it's auto-tuning, then your miner is pushing the miner to consume more power to produce more hash rate. So it means it's overclocking, but the problem is if you are still using the stock s9 PSU, it can't provide enough power, which can lead to some issues like your issue.

So better manually set the power depending on what PSU you are using.
2548  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S19 not hashing - ERROR_TEMP_TOO_HIGH on: November 07, 2022, 11:39:43 AM

This is interesting. So I got the middle board identified as the error.  the log is below.

I did do a hard reset this morning, and was still having the issue.  I did it again after identifying the board and now now it works.

Error log with just the middle board running:

~snip~

What do you mean it works?

Is the issue solved after a hard reset? Is all the hash board running?
Or did you just run only two hash boards and remove the middle board?

If the middle hash board is the culprit having over temp issue there might be one ASIC chip with a loose heatsink it needs to reattach but the problem you will need test fixture to test which chip is overheating.

Anyway, if you want to repair it with your own there is a guide that you can follow but I'm sure it needs some repairing tools. Check this link below

2549  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S19 not hashing - ERROR_TEMP_TOO_HIGH on: November 06, 2022, 11:53:56 PM
I could't see which hashboard detect over temp would you mind to try to run the miner with one hashboard? I mean test them one by one disconnect the two hashboard power and data cable and test again to find what hashboard is broken.

Also, try to hard reset the unit by holding the IP report button for 5 seconds or more then release then test it again and check for changes.
2550  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are they set a broker in my pc and stealing my data ? on: November 06, 2022, 11:17:40 PM
The image shows a few software on your PC that use runtime broker, why not disable or uninstall those apps?

If you can't able to remove the runtime broker try to disable it check the guide from this link below.

In addition, install Kaspersky and try to restrict/put runtime broker and other software to the blocked list. It also helps you to protect your PC from any malware and viruses.
2551  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon 1246 85th, How can I know which is the chip that corresponds to the log on: November 06, 2022, 10:19:15 PM
Did you tried to check the hashboard physically it should have something a name under ASIC chip like a100, a101, a102, and etc...  And then from the logs start counting it to the right after that compare it to the count and the ASIC chip name.

This is how it works on other Avalon model so maybe a1246 is the same.
2552  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 1166pro issue with Fans not working on proper speed on: November 06, 2022, 09:31:47 PM
How hot the miner is it? Would you mind to post the API logs here maybe we can find the issue under your logs?

Setting the fan speed through the FMS tool is not permanent it will restore automatically to old settings after restart/reboot.

Sometimes the issue is hardware the temp sensor can't able to sense the temp from your hashboard. My suggestion is to try to replug all cables in your hashboard and also don't forget to check all terminals if there is rust or corrosion clean them then plug all cables in.

Another suggestion is you can also try aging it can calibrate all your hashboard which sometimes can fix issues related to temp sensing issues.
2553  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is crypto winter just another name for crypto crash? on: November 05, 2022, 11:01:42 PM
The price of miners these are pretty cheap from Bitmain and Canaan units. Why would you wait or predict the exact time to buy miners? Today is the best time to buy units from Canaan 1126 pro is around 400 to 500 which is cheap for 60 to 68th/s.
If today is not profitable to mine you can also hold these units until the price of Bitcoin gradually rises again.

So the best time to buy miners is when the price of their units drops a lot or is very cheap just like the units from Canaan.
2554  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: [HELP PLEASE] stratum_subscribe timed out on: November 05, 2022, 08:54:13 PM
stratum_subscribe timed out is most likely error from ccminer.

This is not the right place to ask this I'd suggest you to bring this issue to altcoin mining if your are mining with GPU/CPU.
2555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Locating old public ID wallet address (ETH) on: November 04, 2022, 11:51:07 PM
Are you talking about finding the missing characters from your public ETH address?
I heard that etherscan have autocomplete/suggest address when typing or pasting address with missing character?

Or try to fork this one below and then replace 0x6973% with 0x5b58f4c0211758615%

2556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I might have found the first multi-chain app wallet on: November 04, 2022, 10:57:06 PM
Based on your image it looks like it's an airgap vault from airgap.it I'm also using that wallet. You need two devices to make your wallet safe you can also install it both on the same device the airgap wallet and the vault but it would be useless because the purpose of this wallet is to use it as an Airgap wallet.

The best thing about this wallet you can use metamask as your watch-only wallet and use only Airgap vault to sign a transaction.
The only downside is that they only support a few coins if you are looking for an air gap wallet that support many coins and token then a ledger or Trezor is your best option.
2557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Decentralized Exchange Rubic hacked and losses $1m on: November 04, 2022, 07:09:59 PM

reading the whole tweet makes me think this is not a hack but it is stealing in disguise of a hack, they said the affected wallet was a cold wallet but a hacker was able to get the funds through a software. Doesn't make any sense and they dont keep it in a multi-sig wallet.

This is imppssible if someone could hack a cold wallet without internet connection.
That is why they call it cold wallet or storage the device or PC should never connected to the internet.

I guess this is another inside job just like what happen on other exchanges like in Poloniex or the same issue like in NiceHash.
2558  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: latest UTXO databases received on: November 04, 2022, 05:26:18 PM
UTXO means unspent transaction output blockchair.com should have this data if you want to download them you can check this link below.

This is monthly seperated compared to loycev download links but you can use download manager like IDM to grab them all and download then extract them using winrar on the same folder.
2559  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Repairing MacBook - electrum on: November 03, 2022, 11:57:41 PM
Do note that disconnecting storage option is only applicable on non-ARM MacBooks, M1/M2 MacBook storage is built-in into the board.

The logic board of these units is more likely the same as tablet or old android phone where the storage/drive are soldered on the board. But still the storage disk or IC can be still able replace but there is a big risk.

I'm going a bit off-topic here, but do Electrum and Core even work on the M1/2 macs? Considering that you can't salvage the hard disk if your logic board dies.
Since m1/m2 are macbooks Electrum and bitcoin core should work.
If ever logic board dies you can still able to desolder the drive out from the logic board and move it to known working logic board but its pretty risky based on other people that I heard from tech forums.
