2561  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is Cheap Until April, We’ll Never See Price at $3,000 Again: Trader on: March 14, 2019, 08:38:55 PM
The word “never” is something we actually cannot expect to happen even though we can retest the 3,000$ level now it doesn't mean that we won visit it for another time. The charts or any future possibility does not remove the fact that 3,000 $ is something we could visit even after a bull run happens. A lot of traders or known individuals in the past make bold statements before similar to what Galaxy said that it won't touch this certain levels anymore but every single one of them are wrong as the crypto market is really unpredictable especially when you looking at long term projections.
2562  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto/Blockchain Related Stocks [LIST][BEING UPDATED/WIP] on: March 14, 2019, 07:39:18 PM
I'll be adding a few more stocks shortly. If anyone else has any other ideas, do LMK
What is the goal of this discussion ? Encouraging this community to invest into stocks ? Literally that is not a right thing we may do here IMO as it may redirect investments out of crypto space Roll Eyes.
If you look at some of the companies currently in the list some of the companies he mentioned are directly involved in the cryptocurrency industry like Hive Blockchain which is currently a bargain for .48 CAD and Overstock whom I think we all know is an Amazon for the cryptocurrency users. You see our support for cryptocurrencies does not limit us from the crypto market itself as some companies who are involve in the crypto business don't even have their own ICOs to fund their projects. Knowing that your company has been successfully listed publicly means a lot for investors who wants a stable asset to hold, which they won't get from a volatile market.
2563  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Save your crypto, Disable WPS! on: March 14, 2019, 06:14:46 PM
so make sure you go to your router setting, find where WPS is and disable it, also notice that some routers will still have  WPS enabled even if it says disabled on the interface.
Going through your WIFI router's interface is unnecessary as I think that most wifi routers now have light indicators to know whether you are using WPS or WLAN. It simply flashes the light on what network you are using, if the WPS's light is the one blinking then the quickest way to turn it off is by switching to WLAN which also has a button in your router.
2564  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-03-14] Bitcoin Miner Says Solar Energy Cuts Mining Costs By 75% on: March 14, 2019, 04:47:59 PM
That 75% deduction in power cost is not accurate for all countries. Cutting down expenses throught renewable energy will always depend on what your country's laws tell about it. Factors such as subsidies, lesser taxes, and feed-in tarriffs are something to look at if you think buying renewable energy equipment will be outweighted by the income you expected to make. But overall if you don't care about the cost you will incur up front then solar panels is a good long term investment and it can be use for other things in your house.
2565  Other / Meta / Re: [Feature suggestion] A list of which users that posted in a certain thread on: March 14, 2019, 03:34:09 PM
The only ones who will have use for this kind of feature are alt hunters or merit sources who will use this as some kind of metric to know if you are meritable ir not other than that I don't see a good use for it for  a regular forum member like me. This feature would really be helpful though as it will definitely identify who the spammers are as well as potential plagiarizers in some way.
2566  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Mark Karpelès : Bitcoin Embezzlement Verdict on Friday on: March 14, 2019, 06:09:36 AM
It should not be the only punshment for him. Serving only a prison term is something the white collar criminals would be happy about as their business operations are simply not stopped from that point to top ot all chances are he won't be serving all 10 years in prison because of parole. The best thing the government should do is to permanently ban him from doing any kind of business in their country so that his power to enter the market would be entirely gone. If that happens even though he moves out of another country to create a business his reputation will quickly follow him.
2567  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to be rich..! on: March 13, 2019, 07:42:56 PM
Most of the people are not born rich so they have no way to build up money but working a 8 to 5 job. But the problem here is that most of them will always think that having a job is the only way have money, they don't think that they can do anything else to be out of it which is the wrong idea. If I am an employee I'll look at my job in a different perspective, I'll look at it as a training ground where I'll gather a lot of experience while I am saving the salary I have to build my own business in the future. The best thing about having a job of course is building up a lot of connections with like-minded people who you can partner up with your business idea, that's the route I am hoping to be in once I have the right amount of money in order to be free with my time.
2568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2018-2019 on: March 13, 2019, 06:11:33 PM
I got busted from my last bet that i was not expect Ronaldo will playing very well and made an hattrick and i wish today my bets results will much better than yesterday and regarding match Bayern vs Liverpool i think it's quite difficult to predict especially Bayern were pretty strong as host team but possibly both of teams will pushing to make score first and i expect Bayern and Liverpool will made goals each other so probably my pick for this match is both teams to score
CR7 knows very well that they need all his three goals to qualify for the next round. His transfer to Juventus would really be a pure embarrassment for him if they got knocked out early here in the Champions League, but overall I cannot say that Ronaldo alone carried the team for the win. All of them played well very few mistakes when it comes to passing and Spinazzola and Bernardeschi all contributed very well offensively as they did very good to pressure the defense to create mistakes.
2569  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do a lot of western governments like bitcoin and dislike banks? on: March 13, 2019, 04:43:16 PM
A lot countries have suffered from over printing their currency too much Venezuela is the most recent country to to be victims of their own currency. The thing is fiat currency is backed by their country's economy with all countries have debt to each other printing more money won't be a solution as hyperinflation will just be there problem. So if they want to make their local fiat currency more valuable all they have to do is to pat off their debt aa well as improve their economy.it may look crazy but the world markets are also the ones valuing our money and the same principle for supply and demand is applicable.
2570  Economy / Reputation / Re: 🔴🔴🔴SCAM🔴🔴🔴GAME-PROTECT.COM🔴🔴🔴SCAM🔴🔴🔴 on: March 12, 2019, 05:52:28 PM
I won't worry that much if my gambling site is put on the "scam list" in game-protect's website, it has lost credibility a long time ago. They are claiming to be a legal authority who specialize in crypto gambling fraud but the thing is they aren't posting their lawyers' identity and everyone claiming to be their client always request to become anonymous therefore them having the reason to don't post any legal statements or proof about their work. If you are worried that it your gambling site would take a hit from your site making the "scam list" then just don't think about it as it won't damage your reputation at all.
2571  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-03-10]Android Devices Now Support Full Bitcoin Node Running on: March 12, 2019, 06:04:10 AM
With the hardware requirements needed to run a rull node I don't think there is a phone other than the high-end top of the line models can run this. Even if they successfully run one I doubt the phone will keep its cool during the whole process. We should remember that Apple has bamned mining apps in its app store because it makes their devices got to a high temperature that could damage the battery which reduces the phone's overall battery life.
2572  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Top 3 compelling features for New Exchange?? on: March 12, 2019, 03:38:51 AM
I wouldn't even trade in a cryptocurrency exchange that doesn't ask KYC for their users. If their business isn't compliant to have KYC then it only means that they don'toperate legally uunder the government regulation. Exchanges must always have them as they can always be a tool for money laundering and other criminal activities which will use their services.  I doubt that there is even one trusted exchange now that doesn't require KYC for its clients, I mean even ShapeShift has been asking KYC now.
2573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If everyone in the world owned bitcoin each would have 0.003btc on: March 11, 2019, 06:54:44 PM
The thing is "shortage" will always depend on what price will that .003 BTC be and looking at it a 11$ now might be a whole different story when we see if people each have that .003 BTC by now. So we couldn't assume anything if there would be a shortage of supply as we don't know what the value will be yet if that happened. Also that .003 BTC won't always be in the hand of the owner forever somehow or someway they would need to spend it, some might even spend it right away after they receive it. Some will be hoarding it after they receive it and the imbalance will quickly shift as soon as most of the people have emptied out their share.
2574  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do you think is the most surprising thing in the History of Bitcoin? on: March 11, 2019, 05:31:09 PM
I do agree with what Jet Cash has said, the first three years of BTC was like the hardest part for Bitcoin as it's value was basically nothing until it builds it price up which was three years after its creation which was around April of 2013. But for me the most surprising thing about BTC is how it build a new kind of market outside of stocks and foreign exchange, it created what we called now a cryptocurrency market. The cryptocurrencies that followed BTC was obviously influenced them on creating their own in order to fill the market. This alone made a lot of people rich as well as created a lot of millionaires in the process where we thought that there are no more investments or earning opportunities we haven't think will open up.
2575  Economy / Economics / Re: BitGo Goldman Crypto Custody and Fidelity Launch on: March 11, 2019, 04:20:18 PM
If Goldman Sachs is the only reason for the pump then they'll probably be the reason for it to go down as well. They know that when the time is up and they already want to milk the market they can do it at any time they want. And they won't care about the thousands who will lose money in the process. Yes their money will be a huge boost to pump the market but with the amount of what they are holding they can always topple us down without them even trying their best.
2576  Economy / Economics / Re: UnionBank Crypto ATM To Launch On March 08 on: March 11, 2019, 06:57:35 AM
Such a big boost for the crypto industry's presence herebin the Philippines and I'm glad that a big name bank is backing them up unlike countries where big banks are against them Unionbank is doing a different approach on the matter. Althought they just launched the crypto atm in a "concept" branch they might just be doing this as a feasibility study as Makati City is one of the business districts in the Philippines, they might just want to see how business professionals will accept the atm.
2577  Other / Meta / Re: Excuse me if this has been discussed before... why does the forum never change? on: March 11, 2019, 03:14:57 AM
You might be also a Redditor asking yourself why other forums cannot update their U.I. like what they did but to tell you honestly I like the forum's UI design as is as its straight to the point with no sophistication needed for 2019. This is a forum and not a social media website which needs to be fancy in order to attract members, all we need is simple a way to create a thread and post in it which BCT has been giving since day one. But to keep the conversation going I am curious to hear what changes "visually" you are wanting to see in the forum?
2578  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Coinbase's recent Hacking Team stuff on: March 10, 2019, 06:03:00 PM
That's also my concern, we don't know how exchanges will act to this kinds of situations where which coins will they confiscate from us. Since there is no law mentioning how they will connect the dots then they are in full control on what coins will be connected in that situation, they might just pull the plug and get everything including from people who received stolen coins whom they aren't even are aware are stolen in the first place.

Bitcoin is property. Property is subject to law. Exchanges can't just help themselves to your property. Things may be a little woolly at present but you're not wide open to whatever whims occur to them. There's a process that needs going through.

That's conditional on using an exchange that has identifiable ownership of course.
As long as the cryptocurrencies can be reclaimed after my explanation or proof on how I received those cryptocurrencies I am good with it. Proving my ownership in court is another thing which I am trying to avoid, one of which is probably because the expense won't be outweigh by the cryptocurrencies I will be trying to claim. If the exchanges have a good system of recovery in place I won't be worried about me having a huge chunk of my savings inside an exchange.
2579  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ NEED YOUR OPINION ] Online farm (food). on: March 10, 2019, 04:58:00 PM
I have seen a lot of farm related investment programs online lately and so far this is the only option for the investor to receive the vegetables itself and not the profit. After the transparencies and legitimacy of your business my main concern is of course how will you transport vegetables? As we all know they are perishables that can go rotten quickly, chances are if the user is very far from your farm then they'll receive the veggies rotten. For people who don't have the option to receive their veggies fresh you should at least give them the option to just take the profit from their investment.
2580  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Coinbase's recent Hacking Team stuff on: March 10, 2019, 03:42:44 PM
I have advised OP to go off and build an orphanage before his head explodes with paranoia. The advice stands.

'Clean' coins will never be worth more apart from to fools. The vast percentage of coins have traces of filth on them. As soon as that's penalised it's all over.

Flat out stolen coins or coins that are directly identified as nefarious profits will no doubt be grabbed wherever possible which is fine by me. That's as far as it'll ever go.
