2561  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat currency based economy Question on: November 24, 2020, 03:14:04 PM
So how come this fiat based debt based system have not Collapsed yet?

There is a lot debt all over the World wich means also a lot money!!
A lot money means value can go down.
The inflation was really high before the covid 19
Covid saved fiat currency value!
Less transactions means less economic actvity less economic activity means less inflation...

One of the reasons fiats didn't collapse was due to  governments not over printing and channeling them to non-productive and consumption based sector of economy . If that had happened, goods and services would have inflated alot if they were not produced quickly enough.

The less economic activity has to correspond with the goods/services produced otherwise there could still be inflation... unless goods and services are produced in high quantities while demand is low

Ofcourse. I guess 1% minimum and 40% maximum of workers salaries would be fair and safe. And I would only allow the workers to invest in Bitcoin or any safe and well decentralized cryptocurrency with limited/scarce supply. In my opinion, Bitcoin remains the most decentralized and safe (atleast amongst the top cryptocurrencies)
Other top coins are what I would call pseudo-decentralized. They tend to be centered around few "CEO/founders/owners"(unlike Bitcoin) despite the numbers of nodes they have on their networks.
And It would great that workers are able to fully control their funds.

Ofcourse. I actually prefer natural treatments to diseases. Herbs, fruits, vegetables etc for treating many diseases exist. The important thing is where to find them and how to take them safely(without abuse).

Working hard (or exercising) is also very important. From my experience, herbs, fruits, vegetables and other foods tend to work better, taste better, feel satisfying after I have worked really hard (esp after working hard for people)

It is best not to work too hard as it can put stress on your immune system and weaken it. Just do moderate exercise. As for the rest, it would be good also to get some sun but I understand it is difficult as Winter is coming in the Northern Hemisphere.

Ofcourse. When you are working hard and start feeling tired(which is likely sign your body could have problem if you continue working hard or don't slow down) the best thing to do is to rest/slow-down. You probably don't need to rest if you don't get the warning signs unless maybe you have some kind of disorder that affect the signs.
2564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Indian boy committed suicide after losing money by Betting in IPL on: November 24, 2020, 09:09:40 AM
Not a new story, but still an alarming scenario. This kid is typically gambling for his life (that's what he had in his mindset) . This is one of the example of extreme gambling addiction. Even if he win and paid that borrowed money, he'd still go back to gambling and will continuously lossing money and still end up killing himself.
The only way to stop that kid from killing himself, is to actually stop him from gambling.
Really really sad news and waste of precious life.
This kind of stories are always sad because there is so much wasted potential, this kid could have become anything that he wanted but he made a series of mistakes that took him through a path which he believed it was impossible to escape, and the truth is that he could have escaped if he just admitted that he was addicted to gambling and that he needed help, but it seems that he was too proud for that and instead he decided to take a path from which there is no return.

The simpe truth is that the kid gambled (took big risk) in betting. He bet with what he couldn't afford to lose/risk(that is a gamble), he lost and couldn't not handle the lose.
This is why it's always important to warn people in casinos or betting centers/sites not to gamble or take big risk in betting centers/sites. Don't allow them to bet with what they can't afford to lose/risk!
Bet but don't gamble. Bet responsibly.

Things are getting really hard. No one really expected a spike in the number of new infections, although there were predictions that it may happen once winter season starts. For 2-3 months, the pandemic was retreating in the US and other nations, but now the new cases are setting new records. And I expect the worst, when peak winter sets in (by December/early January).

What if I told you that people actions are responsible for rise in new cases. Once people start doing what is good and moral, things calm down abit... but once heart are hardened, the world becomes more vulnerable. People are literally killing/affecting others, and themselves when they do what is evil.
We have to humble ourselves and ask GOD for mercy. I strongly believe HE will listen and the virus will be stopped.

By the way, businesses need to be allowed to function while they follow the health safety rules. Shutting down businesses whether they follow the rules or not is not a good idea
2566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Argentina raises Gambling tax on: November 24, 2020, 08:32:27 AM
Is the country raising tax on "gambling" or "betting" (betting transactions?).

I guess it's betting industry they're reffering to , which includes lottery, political betting, forex, competition etc... and that will likely make taxing easy and encompassing considering that word "betting" can be clearer and easy for any national law than "gambling"
By the way, outright ban on gambling is acceptable than raising tax on gambling. Gambling (taking big risk, whether in bets or other area) is actually bad and very risky. It's immoral to tax and benefits from things that are bad for people

I was quite interested in dropshipping in the past, but was abit worried about the issues that could arise from it such as problems with international partners, customers, shipping companies, etc. I decided it would be much better to do things like that locally till I find a very safe and profitable way to do normal dropshipping.
The local method will probably be to buy things cheap from producers then go and sell quickly to retailers and consumers. I could even get producers build a product I personally designed and sell in this manner
2569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery Gambling on: November 23, 2020, 01:51:39 PM
This is a kind of lottery with a small prize only, honestly mate, I would rather bet on sports and put a parlay bet than betting on this kind of game.
Not to discourage you but if you love sports, you can parlay like maybe 5 or 10 leg and your odds will increase, and you will still enjoy as you can also do a little analysis with it.

Or he probably should try skill-based game that interest him, which he can learn in order to minimize risk and maximize profits. Unfortunately depending on luck won't give consistent "minimal risk & profits". Lottery games are generally random/luck-based
2570  Economy / Gambling / Re: satoshimines game on: November 23, 2020, 01:24:59 PM
I wonder if it's a good idea to give out an account with your transaction history and wallet to people you don't know/trust. I would make sure that such transfer(and date/time of transfer) and my transaction activities are captured, signed (by me & the other party) and recorded somewhere before I handing the account to another person.
2571  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITRUN - PREDICT THE PRICE OF BITCOIN AND WIN BITCOIN on: November 23, 2020, 12:44:01 PM
Hey guys,

thanks for all the responses. Love the energy and the community.
Having some trouble posting, which is why I havent been able to answer your questions yet. Gonna do a sum first, then try to answer more specific questions aswell.

KYC & Blocked countries - There is currently no KYC proccess in place on our platform. It is however an option for the future if it is required from us in the process of getting a licence in certain countries.
The blocked countries list directly corelates to this - since we do not have a KYC and a licence, we cannot operate in countries which require KYC / licence  - hence the restricted countries list. As we are currently in demo, you can access our service from everywhere and the restriction is not yet enforced.

Licence - we do not have a licence at the moment, which is why we only plan to operate in countries that do not require us to aquire one. Once we get the licences, we plan to remove excluded countries from the list

Are you going to add other pairs like ETH/USD to this as the website grows or it's going to be only Bitcoin? - if the initial idea of BTC/USD kicks off, we intend to add new pairs and different time limits aswell.

Minimum bet - The minimum bet is 0.001 BTC, however we plan to add the option for both lower and higher bets in the near future.

Calculation of BTC/USD price - as you point out, it is based on Coinbase, Bitstamp and Kraken.

Lack of information - as some of you pointed out, there is a lack of information on the front  screen, and if you do not watch the tutorial on your first visit, it is a problem. We have taken your input into account and are already making changes. The first screen will not point out the following information: No KYC (as it is not implemented at this point), minimum bet, Calculation of BC/USD price.

Changes should be live in a day or two and I will make sure to post them here to keep you updated.

Thanks again for all the feedback!

Fair enough!
The minimum bet should very low though considering this is "predict wrong, lose all bet" (and vice versa) situation. You need to bring it much lower to make it less risky for bettors. You could also make this have little risk as normal crypto trading by making it possible for only a small part of user's fund to be deducted when they lose a bet... and a user should be able to place bet that could last a certain period of time(probably hours/days).
2572  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who actually moves the price of bitcoin? on: November 20, 2020, 04:44:41 PM
Demand and supply is simply what determines the price.
Bitcoin has limited supply compared to millions/billions of potential users. If demand for bitcoin increases while supply is low (or while there aren't enough users/holders willing to sell to buyers at the normal price) buyers will adjust their price to higher amount to attract the interest of sellers... and sellers sell at the increased price... This is how the price goes up, organically.
Ofcourse, whales move the price but Price can also be moved by lots of average buyers buying bitcoin around thesame time
2573  Economy / Economics / Re: BlackRock’s CIO Says Bitcoin Could Replace Gold on: November 20, 2020, 04:12:00 PM
Certainly better than centralized "digital gold" (or physical gold represented digitally).
Will prefer to compare Physical Gold vs some sort of Physical bitcoin. The physical bitcoin would need to do what Physical Gold can do, like lasting many years in harsh conditions without losing its physical quality, (which would qualify it as a good Store of Value in physical World) etc... to be consider good alternative to physical gold.
2574  Economy / Exchanges / Re: what you think about bitcoin/bch/paypal does paypal cheating on: November 20, 2020, 03:27:46 PM
Interesting. If that's is true, they will probably sell things that represent the origin coins, more like how centralized exchanges do.
Well, that's one of the disadvantages of having centralized platforms be part of the whole decentralized network & have lots of responsibility but lack features to allow for checks & balances from the main public/decentralized network . They basically go contrary to the ideals of Bitcoin/crypto and could weaken the security of the decentralized network(esp if they become powerful) due to their lack of proper transparency, decentralization, accountability, immutablity,.etc

I guess the users will only use their coin in close system if the pictures you painted is true.
2575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Are The Benefits Of Blockchain In Our Today’s Life? on: November 20, 2020, 10:09:45 AM
What do you mean by data modification, reorg? Ofcourse, over 50% of network participants with fullnodes and computer-power can modify "top data" (through consensus) if it's designed to be so. So, without having over 50% of network participants agreeing to do that , there won't be the possibility of data modification. Better to have a network robust with most users who able to run full nodes and determine the data modification rather than than few miners, considering that most users cannot participate in mining. I believe most/all users should be able to participate in network consensus to make 51% difficult. And the network will need to have clear rule before 51% can modify data.

How about Storage? Is that about difficulty in running full nodes?
That can be fixed, or probably has been fixed by some.

In regards to data modification (data reorg?),
I doubt you changed hashed data and the changed data will still be accepted by the network as unmodified. That is why decentralization, transparency, immutablity/hashing of data make Blockchain great

That's the downside of gambling when you cannot afford to lose and when you're addicted to gambling!
And exactly borrowing the money for gambling is the worst decision anyone can make with the pressure of returning and recovering the losses.
I feel bad for that boy addiction got the best out of him.

I would rephrase that ^ a bit: "the downside of betting what you cannot afford to lose"
The problem with using the word gambling in that contest is that it confuses people who already know that gambling is taking big risk and is bad to take big risk with our hard-earned or borrowed money. But betting with what we can afford to lose/risk is fair... afterall the money won't be really lost. Part of it is going to people with better luck/skills/knowledge and other part to people who provide the betting services.
Bet, but don't gamble.
2578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Free betting tips by Janinjo on: November 20, 2020, 08:41:23 AM
Maybe you should consider collecting your data in a table/google sheets so people who visit this thread can see your performance before they decide to follow you. Nobody wants to follow a fail tipster as you would agree.

I even prefer that their betting tips be hidden. I don't really fancy the idea of revealing ones predictions (especially prediction/bet with huge stake) until the match/matches have been played and results known. Wish certain betting platforms are designed in a way that bets/predictions can be hidden from public (the prediction known only to the predictor/bettor) until result is known.  This could prevent a situation where a bad actor manipulate the outcome against bettor with huge/important stake or value
2579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe NBA is rigged? on: November 20, 2020, 08:21:05 AM
I really can't imagine there is match fixing at this level. Those players who all earn a fortune in the NBA. then why would they participate in such a thing? keeping in mind that if anyone finds out, they could be suspended for life or at least end their career.
They are not really the one participating, it's the referees who are rigging the games, players don't know about it because they are just playing while referees are doing the calling, that's why sometimes there are bad calls and one bad all already have significant effect to the game.

If you do some backreading, you'll be able to see videos shared of refs calling and not calling foul that should be called.

They are in charge of the game, they say when the refs is with a certain team, most of the time that team will win, even how bad they are as a team.

I usually assume that some/most of such decisions by refs are mistakes/unintentional. But I don't think the mistakes should be left uncorrected once found. If mistakes were found after a game, the victims of such mistakes could be awarded points, serious mistakes should lead to replaying of the games/matches involved. This measures will help prevent officials (and others) from allowing future mistakes from happening
That should keep games credible,  acceptable by most/all & future abuses reduced
2580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will central banks create their own digital currencies? on: November 19, 2020, 05:19:55 PM

However, no matter how they try to utilize the benefits, CBDC is still centralized. Many people demand decentralization. They want to be anonymous and stay as far as they can away from the government

Yes, the coins issued by central banks are centralized and sub-governed coins dominated by those banks, crypto investors don't like such coins.
Perhaps central bank-issued coins will act as stablecoins.

Sometimes I wonder why they need  another  currencies when they already have digital fiats currencies. They could simply migrate the digital fiat to Blockchain for transparency and also to enable citizens have power over their coin/asset. I guess they'd want to start afresh and have their liabilities/debts go with old fiat currencies.
