Well, that was an epic fail:
Received an email from Baikal at 3:21 AM on 4-26-2017 asking for the following:
1) Purchase quantity. (eg: Quad-Cube * 4)
2) Payment method. (bank transfer/BTC /DASH)
3) Detailed shipping address with phone.
4) Any special requirements
Sent Baikal an email for a quote as indicated on 4-26-17 4:01 AM. No reply.
Sent Baikal another email for a quote as indicated on 4-26-17 4:53 AM. No reply.
Sent Baikal a Skype message on 4-26-17 12:22 PM asking did they get my emails because I have not heard anything back yet. They wrote: "pls be patient, we have so many orders from email,my collegue will response you ASAP."
Sent Baikal another email for a quote as indicated on 4-26-17 7:25 PM. Got a response saying:
"Hi,
Sorry to tell you that the batch of cube and quad-cube miners were sold out again, and we have no idea when the next batch will arrive now.
If you have gotten a quotation from us（via email or skype）, please do the payment as we have quoted before the Beijing time of 10:00 PM in April 27th. Otherwise the your order will be canceled.
Please wait patiently and we will share you with the news about the new stock as soon as we can.

Some mess this has been, lol. The title of this thread truly expresses how this experience went. LOL
EDIT: Guess i should of sent like 10 emails before, since it seems they reply to selected emails randomly...
well all for the best monday skype person said send email in above format I did so for 6 (split with buddy) tuesday did follow up on skype and they said re-submit ....looking sketchy so i put another one in for 4 (split with buddy) wens early am....skype person said all was well on my order...but I put another one in for 2 only (split with buddy) Got form letter today they are out ..just after skype person said I was ok on an order in that she forwarded my problems what a cluster again probably for the best i heard they still were charging the 0.73 rate or btc from the last run of 300mh baikals and with shipping some were saying 1010 usd ....with the btc hike...thus not here till May 15th.... probably a good thing...I'm equip fat on asic pow anyway... and already got my one (maybe no roi) toy 300mh cube in the basement anyway..so shucks.... What other miners would you recommend? |

I got a quote from them for a cube. fuckers wanted .7813 btc for a cube they said $799 plus $37 that should be about .65 btc they are asking $1010 US
They did the same to me and my buddy. . Also they sent us the same BTC address 13pMF7f4XjvPg2qS3McGfUAov1k1bTZZb2 I see a lot of BTC going to this address. How are they determining who paid? Are they still asking for screen shots with confirmations? They did ask for 2 screenshots but thats not very valid imo . . wish they had a quality reseller or something |

Only prayer really is if somehow LTC price can keep up with the difficulty.....

So I am looking at $852 for the last one with shipping to USA and this at $1010...assuming with shipping for likely making 1/2 of this 1st cube has made so far and 18.5% increase in price for half the hash ..if..my difficulty doubling is correct ($158 usd more in real dollars) yeah probably not Too little ..too late..too much $$$....I have a maybe no ROI toy 300mh cube now already.. one more at the above prices and my difficulty expectations ....I can wait I guess) Yeah I'm frustrated like you are! they send me a form to pay by wire , but ill hold off seems fishy Singapore bank? UOB Bank right? they re-send bank detail with account number and beneficiary name now..It is a company name. I tried to call UOB Singapore, they wont disclose the account holder if this is legit or not, Bank just informed me to look at the forum LOL...but we are all scare like hell being scam with real baikal or not ?!?! Can people who have ordered successfully from them in the past chime in? How'd you pay, to where, order confirmation? etc edit: I sent them a link to this thread and asked them to post us a reply . . we will see if they can take the 2 minutes to do so. . Yea let us know. Before we ordered via their website and pay with btc (contacted them via skype they convert payment usd to btc, and send conformation btc payment to them via skype and their web). they replied with this - Website have our contact QQ, Skype, email. Advising clients to multiple certification of our identity I imagine they will not be posting in this thread .. lol |

I am talking with Baikal now via skype. They are asking for payment upfront for second week of May shipment.....Yes I agree odd as they never asked in the past for prepayment of orders.....like Bitmain style. I will hold off and wait for stock.

A lot of negativity against BTC, if BTC fails then that will set the crypto market back years. It's the most well known currency and people will perceive it as the "best" because of that and if the "best" fails real world application and adoption will be slowed perhaps dramatically.
