It's time you step your game up to Vegas Wink
I planned on picking up six but by the time my money cleared vegas went from 400 to 440 and I was like wtf. . . now they seem pretty much sold out or $600 soooo no vegas in my future at this rate lol it's like paying $400 for a rx470

I have a few of Zotac 1070 Ti cards. Those are Good cards for mining. By the way good video.
thanks brother I appreciate that! Which model do you have and what settings/ sols

It is a very interesting subject for me.
I am looking at zotac mini for price and the small size

But why do you need to make a video !
I like the foxes and the dogs or the children of them, but i hate youtube.

A simple webpage would be more usefull and less dangerous to see at office !

I have watched most of voskcoins videos and they are excellent for people new to rig building. Even old timers might pick up a few tips.

Vosk, get that series out you are promising about your mining rig room/shed/factory or whatever it is  Grin

haha appreciate that ! thanks for the kind words I'm just trying to document this crazy journey and help out the community the best I can

Absolutely high on the priority list -- what specific things would you like to see covered in the redneck data center/mini mining shed lol

I have 1080 ti zotac mini among others and they are giving about 30 sols less if that helps. However, you can overclock them more then the other brands/models, but still they give a bit less sols. Bying price was less then the others, also. Just pay attention to heat on those mini`s. So it happened to me when one of those got heated up to like 70°C (summer), one of the fans stopped. Fans are mounted on a heatsink alu block and i believe that heat got all the parts of the fan to spread a bit, hence stopping the fan. When the card cooled off, fan started working normally. One thing about your 3 card rigs setup caught my eye the first time i`ve watched your videos and that is that you don`t really have space between the cards. For these minis, you`ll need some space, but 1070 ti`s could be heating less then 1080 ti...
Apprecaite all the input man! This summer was definitely toasty for the farm . . fortunately now that its cooler out the normal temp of the farm area is 50-60 F

Hey Vosk, I got a question for you. I am running a somewhat similar rig such as yours, only it is the Zotac 1082 TI's. One question, Have you ever experienced the cards turning off mid mining due to the fans shutting off because of heat?

What should I do regarding it? Should I arrange them in a way that increases airflow?
Post a pic? Whats your frame setup? At a minimum I'd put a fan in front of or behind pushing/pulling the hot air off them and bringing more cool air faster

Interesting that you'll need only 6xVega56 (950watt) to have the same earnings as your monster 12x1080ti zec rig ))

Show your calc's. There is no way.

OP, it is recommended to power the risers with the SAME psu used to power said gpu.

@rednoW What calc leads you to believe that?
Sorry for late answer. Cryptonight-based coins was twice profitable with Vega then 1080ti with lower power consumption. And still are good.
yeah i've wanted to pickup some vegas but theyre all stupid priced again, they were 400 just a week or so ago but I didn't have the funds ready yet

Hey guys here's my latest video on specifically the Zotac 1070 TI Mini for GPU mining
https://youtu.be/-WuMd5ZdwFU

Phil put me onto the trio build which he designed -- it's a 1080 TI / 1080 TI / Mini card -- there's been a couple variations since then but its definitely one of the best beginner rigs to build or for hobby miners

I (and Phil and many others) run these Mini cards with efficient settings, so basically every cards power consumption is turned down 30%+ this gives us higher sols per watt and thus the card runs cooler and ideally maintains better longevity.

$700 FOR SALE LIKE NEW 1080 TI gigabyte blower mined with for about 3 days (cryptochicks) selling to fund a 1070 TI build
Link to specs - https://goo.gl/PPDze2

Why would I pay 700 when I could pay 699 from the link you just provided and get next day shipping with Prime? lol.

Give him a break they just dropped in price yesterday.
Appreciate that Cheesy P00P135

@ crowetic You probably wouldn't or you want to pay in crypto or you want to support a fellow miner /// its also from 699 to $730 now

as of right now not taking anymore orders until I change around a few rigs other than the EVGA 750w PSU and the i3 CPU
1575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are 1070 TI's the next best GPU for mining? 4.7 sols per watt on: November 15, 2017, 09:45:16 PM
4 GTX 1070 ti run at the OPTIMAL EFFICIENCY ballpark of 106 watts (give or take about 4 in my recent testing) should be comfortable on a good-quality 750 watt PS like a Seasonic X-750 Gold or EVGA G2 750 with enough left over to run the rest of the system.
If you run them at full 180 watt TDP though, that's 720 watts average draw which is NOT going to run reliably on a single 750.

5 of them at 110 watt TDP are quite comfortable running on a single 850 - which pulls very close to 6 amps at the wall with a Seasonic X-850 or EVGA G2 850 and a FX-8350E based AM3+ system (CPU makes up for it's higher power draw vs an Intel G4600/4560 type system by mining Monero at about 320 hash/s).

5 of them on a low-power system would probably be close to 5.5 amps (might want to push TDP down to 106 or so to get to 5.3-5.4 range) - which is a comfortable fit on a 20 amp circuit for 3 such rigs.

And yes, if you have not maxed out your available power and that power is cheap enough, it makes sense to run them at higher TDP levels for the extra hashrate - part of the reason I showed so many TDP power points in my testing.

If you ARE pushing the limits of your available power, though, it CAN make sense to aim for better efficiency so you can run more cards and get more overall hashrate even if your power is FREE.

Also, the more efficient points tend to let the card run cooler and with less fan speed, for better longevity.

along with this train of that thats why I chase efficiency, I have 100 amps, that's it lol so a max efficiency setup will give me most hash per watt + as you said a point I feel people dont often discuss is helping the longevity of the card

Testing out the Zotac 1070 TI Mini, pretty sweet for only $50 more give or take on that figure, same price as the non TI used to be during the massive price gouge era

1578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: November 14, 2017, 05:52:30 PM
Phil & Co,

Been following this thread for awhile, thank you all for your knowledge and insight.  I just setup my first "trio" mining rig (2x 1080 TI's & 1x 1070 Mini) about a week ago, and so far so good.  I am noticing one potential issue though, one of my 1080's seems to be really struggling compared to the other 2 cards.  What's weird, is even my 1070 Mini is producing considerably more Sol/W while using less power than the bad 1080. Something seems off there.... not too mention just comparing the 2 exact same 1080 cards, one is clearly outperforming the other.  I took photos on 4 separate days, so this has been ongoing, not just a bad hour or two.  See link below for photos of the GPU stats running on nvOC_19.

The 1080 that is struggling, is the same card I have the monitor plugged into.  Could that be the reason why?  Or is it a bad card? Or, maybe this is normal?  Any help would be a huge help, thank you!

FYI: GPU0 - 1080 TI, GPU1 - 1070 Mini, GPU2 - 1080 TI  (GPU0 & GPU2 are the exact same 1080 TI make/model)

whatre your power limits at?

in that position the board recognizes  0 TI 1 Mini 2 TI so PL could be 200/125/200 as a base reference

individual power limit = yes
0 = 200
1 = 125
2 = 200

Ahhh.... I saw the video now and make sense now about the power/wiring/synching issues.

Glad you got this going Vosk - congrats!

Those Deltas are very good - all my 12/13/19 GPU rigs are using them with PICO kits.
yeah xD

haha thanks my friend Cheesy

Yeah I'm really impressed with the 2400w, a ton of power for such a small footprint

on your 12 13 19 gpu rigs, what cards do they consist of and do you use the pico kit from PM?

The big rigs are all ETH rigs (RX470s) but now I have stopped ETH mining.

All of them are selling hash at NH/Cryptonite since 2 months ago.

They will switch to BTG mining together with my NVIDIA farm.

BTG official network is expected to start on Nov 12 2017, 7 PM UTC.

Testing those riserless boards with NVIDIA and Deltas soon - see Phil's thread.

PICO kits I get some from PM, Aliexpress seller and Captminer.
How is BTG mining? I am looking into it today and going to move a couple rigs over, is it all the rage?! xD

EPIC fail this BTG mining - I would stay away until pools stabilizes - currently very slow confirmation times - I suspect not enough hash to process transactions smoothly.
that's disappointing . . BTG fail after fail lol, hope they get their stuff straight so we can have another big GPU coin to mine
