2021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: August 10, 2017, 12:25:13 PM
So to make this case to another . .

Why would YOU choose Zen over ZEC or Hush or KMD?

You don't pretend any of the four do the same things and then realize you go with all four.

ZEC will be commercialized heavily to make Fortune 500s etc better acquainted and more comfortable with crypto transactions and services. Uses founder rewards per block paid to the launch team.

HUSH is implementing secured messaging and in the future, smart contracts with their own token. Plus they are embedding SuperNET InstaDEX from the KMD team. Small premine to start with funds.

KMD is the swap in coin from BTCD (man those were good days!) the core SuperNET coin. KMDPlatform and the InstaDEX all live here and this project is EXCELLENT! KMD itself will be the pairing currency in the InstaDEX and they started with a 100M coin premine, that 20M sold in ICO, 70M are in flux for the BTCD swap through end of year and the last 10M are reserved for dev funding. The whole project here has been worth its time tenfold IMHO.

ZEN is taking the Masternode/securenode approach also with a founders reward from each block that will sustain the devs for years to come, no premine. This project has some of the BIGGEST potential to date. Secure messaging is one thing, but taking that to the next level and using this platform for anonymous publication... lofty, ATTAINABLE goals of creating the next web on the internet where data mirroring and historic versioning (think github in a coinbase) are available WITHOUT needing to be hosted on ISP backbones for high availability.

I am missing a ton of details that can be looked up if you really need to know more. ZEN and KMD are two of the most undervalued projects out there. James jl777 (BTCD and KMD) started with taking over the BTCD project YEARS ago and has surrounded himself with very capable resources and the community. Ton of credibility there, and he is achieving something everyone here has demanded and no one has succeeded in doing to date... that is InstaDEX and he proved a KMD to HUSH transaction a while ago. I see some of the same promise in ZEN, where they are working hard on the first real feature update, securenodes... this project took the most honest and business savvy approach IMO, and instead of promising the world and rushing to dev for the sake of coin value, they have built what is looking to be one of THE most solid core teams in crypto. Given more time, I expect big things from both.

And yes I hold all 4(5 with BTCD).
This is a very informative and concise reply, thank you for taking the time to write this.

SIGT would be cool along with Komodo!

Does bumping fan speed to 100 effect power usage much if really at all?
Only negative is noise? Maybe more wear and tear?

Sorry but that's not really related to my question. It's no problem how loud the graphic cards are, they should just run at 100%. The cooler the card, the longer the lifespan. And at the moments in the room I really need them to run at 100%. They get 70 degree at 50% which is too much.

I don't have the answer to your question yours just prompted mine xD

Can you mine KMD with the current setup? I input the settings into the Zec line however it's not connecting to the pool

Do you plan to add it soon?

I have 3000 WTT tokens to sell, planned to use them for miners that I have since sold
is it trading somewhere, I am interested in buying some. may be a good bet.
Not that I'm aware, mines in the first batch to be released
2038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: August 02, 2017, 11:31:54 PM

Staying under the radar for much longer might end up being a problem...   Undecided

you are right...i think the biggest problem is, that nothing happenend with kmd...the ico site is still under construction...its to long for only a website...and the other features also waiting for the release. in cryptoworld you have no time for waiting so long...so komodo team hurry up ;-)
It took BTCD years to go from 20000 sats to $50+
why to expect KMD will only need months?

i dont expect that komodo will reach 50+$ in month but I think that many people expect a progress. The Jumblr distribution is the best example...normaly it should take place month ago but it doesnt happenend because something regarding the ico site doesnt work. but the ico site is still under construction and for possible investors it is deterrent. I dont need the ico site because i have my kmd and trust you and the team but for success you need more people than me. ;-)
The ICO site and JUMBLR sharedrop actually have not much to do with the KMD tech itself, I think there is being overemphasis on it. Certainly we are working to get it fixed and back online. However, to all the people that make it sound so easy to hire contractors and magically get tech working... Well, we did outsource the ICO site but now the original devs are not available. So we are delaying KMD specific work to get the ICO site fixed.

Not exactly the ideal situation and since it is dealing with real KMD credits we need to not just rush something out. I think there would be far more problems if we rushed a site out and it turns out to make mistakes with the KMD credits.

However, there are many ways to make progress and I am disappointed that people are not more happy about barterDEX making good progress. There is even a basic GUI in testing for it now:

but this does not seem to count as progress since the ICO site is not working...

We are adding a new coin or two per day at the low level via command line testing and now over 60 coins are approved for test trading. If this is not meaningful progress, then not sure what is.

Where would you like to see / believe KMD will be at the end of 2017 as far as functionality, associated tech (trading, wallets), and even a price speculation?
2039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Pandaminer SCAM on: August 02, 2017, 05:47:20 PM
Reported! Reading the topic title I was afraid you got scammed by Pandaminer itself o.0

Well with their workmanship and business practices you kind of do get scammed lol but that's another story xD just ask elokk what he's been going through or anyone who's tried to get a replacement gpu

One local guy's motherboard failed and he trashed the whole miner and just kept the cards

Can you tell me more about the problems with getting a replacement GPU?  One of the 8 GPU's in my Panda won't hash for more than 5 minutes before dropping.

They just dance around in circles through email, to the point you're better off just removing it . . Maybe you will have better luck or they've turned that around some to salvage their business / they have some stock now - either way I'd start emailing them if you have not already

Reported with enthusiasm.

haha that's awesome
