261  Other / Meta / Re: Was the forum better before without Merit or is it better now with Merit? on: December 07, 2023, 03:55:54 PM
Of course, this isn't my problem alone when it comes to being more difficult to obsess over rankings, but it is slowly becoming a regular thing and even more fun. I feel more honored by achieving every rankings after the merit system. On the other hand, my circle left the forum one by one at the beginning of the system implementation because they were unable to adapt. And damn, I have to say more when I bring up any topic in this forum to discuss it with them irl.
262  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cooperation in trading crypto on: December 07, 2023, 03:04:50 PM
In this cooperation, one team shares its time and another person shares its capital. If there is a loss, the time spent on trading is wasted, as well. If you think that money is the only important factor, yes, it is not a fair cooperation, but if the time spent by people in this work is valuable, then it is a fair cooperation.
Try to be more realistic, which trader still considers time as a risk that can be avoided? Because it is an inherent risk whether you trade independently or collaboratively. You have to think from the customer's perspective.

Currently, the average daily profit of our team is about 1.36% of the total capital.
Seriously, in the crypto market? does it even take up your time?

Again, WHERE IS YOUR TEAM?
263  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov sold his account on: December 07, 2023, 01:46:25 PM
However, this is not enough proof (yet) to give anyone negative feedback for this.
(Possible) 2nd proof was presented in GazetaBitcoin's reply above. It reminds me of the case of red tagging who didn't respect the auction s/he was holding: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5348726.msg57602602#msg57602602

Comparing these cases, in the context they both show disrespect for auction/contest participants. However, I respect (old)Ratimov as someone the admin has trusted to be a meirt source. Talking about justice... I think it should have a different space especially after the account is really controlled by someone new.
264  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cooperation in trading crypto on: December 07, 2023, 12:50:41 PM
So, the benefits are split 50/50.
What about the losses? Surely there's no sharing of losses, right? This is not fair cooperation.

Where is your team?

Our predicted ratio is about 10~15 percent per month.
This is just an expected ratio but you won't be fixated on this, you're not using your own money and you're free to take any level of risk (that is if you're legit).
265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: help me not to leave btc on: December 07, 2023, 12:26:21 PM
What kind of mindset should I have to stay in Bitcoin?
You must have a mindset like:
  • Bitcoin OG: You should be as early as possible in owning bitcoin to experience its benefits; or
  • Technical Expert: You need high computing specs to corrupt bitcoin.
266  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is arbitrage still possible in crypto ? on: December 06, 2023, 08:11:24 AM
Yes, but the process is so complicated (calculation of all service fees and estimated deposit/withdrawal times) that in the end you get disproportionate profits. On the other hand, high volatility is the reason why traders feel there is no need to do so.

I was aware of this term a long time ago even I came to know the best exchanges that have better offers like Korea, the rates there and here have big differences.
I've heard this term, yeah "Kimchi Premium".
267  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: December 06, 2023, 04:34:46 AM
theymos,

could you tell me whether my service's thread that ony lists and discusses mixers will be allowed here or I should wipe it before January? The thread in question: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5476445

The thread itself doesn't link any mixers, only the site that does.
Prohibited! it is contain a direct link to mixers directory.

Just don't direct people to mixers: don't link to a mixer, don't link to a directory with links to mixers,

One question I would like to ask is if mixer campaigns are banned from this bitcoin talk forum will mixers stop? Of course they will try to advertise in other places. If the mixer doesn't stop, it might be better to let the campaign go on this forum.
It's like an analogy if xTV channel boycotted all car factories, would they stop producing cars?
Bro, your argument is too weak to defend mixers.
268  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mixers - Are we the product? on: December 06, 2023, 04:08:57 AM
What's the point then, of using a mixer, when your funds can be traced so easily?
I'dn't say it's easy, it takes a lot of effort including tracking down criminals first. An address can't simply be a means of identification without finding the person and then investigating whatever they have. In other words, criminals are the first target, then mixers are second. If the mixer is in first place, then global regulations will close the existing mixer services regardless of whether they've been involved in money laundering or not.
269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bad news always brings some good news! on: December 06, 2023, 03:48:25 AM
The main highlight is the news of the approval of the Bitcoin ETF filings by Blackrock et al instead of the case involving CZ which did not even affect the performance of its platform. Bitcoin ETFs have created market optimism since the last quarter of the year which marked the start of a new bull run session.

Here's the latest news: https://cointelegraph.com/news/blackrock-100-k-seed-fund-for-bitcoin-etf-sec-filing
270  Economy / Digital goods / Re: No need of developing crypto exchange from scratch on: December 05, 2023, 09:16:05 AM
What if I am saying you don’t have to program any codes to make a new crypto exchange of your own.
...but you must be able to translate how our code will work, meaning you or your team has at least a developer background.

Is this some kind of cloud software that Binance offers? I'dn't conclude that building an exchange is this easy without coding skills. The main concern (from a potential user's perspective) is that the team won't be able to address serious technical errors on platforms that use this kind of service.
271  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not very easy; it took my friend a long time to understand. on: December 05, 2023, 08:38:38 AM
My reluctance to trade developed even though I had not started trading then. Again, I had no idea about crypto world.
Let me get this straight, you have some theory but haven't started trading anything and then you try to teach your friend the practice of trading? Tell me if I'm wrong, isn't that funny? I don't think you should blame your friend even though you're frustrated.
272  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a correlation between liquidity and volatility? on: December 05, 2023, 03:16:43 AM
High liquidity does not always cause high volatility too. For example stablecoins trading pair, here. https://www.bybit.com/en/trade/spot/USDC/USDT
You can see that both have enough liquidity to handle a total of over $3m in conversion value.

A definition that I found is that liquidity should not affect market prices. https://www.investopedia.com/terms/l/liquidity.asp
Quote
Liquidity refers to the efficiency or ease with which an asset or security can be converted into ready cash without affecting its market price.
273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BTC sent by mistake to localbitcoins wallet. How to recover? on: December 05, 2023, 02:55:03 AM
Also leaving all addresses  active so transaction  actually can be done is kind of lack of responsibility or in other words waiting for an opportunity  ( mistakes can happen) . In these case banks at least have some formal protocols enabling  for corrections , refunds etc
What does "active" mean? Your bitcoin address generated from any wallet can't reject incoming transactions. This is the basic Bitcoin protocol that you need to know. I think your incident was because you copied the address in your personal list of destination addresses, not recently copied from your account so you didn't know the obvious warning they were planning to stop the service. cmiiw
274  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] MIR Bounty Campaign - Fake Team + Fake Project on: December 05, 2023, 12:05:18 AM
Bounty Manager: repear7
I don't know how he clarified it to the politician and then thought this project was legit as I don't think he(BM) is an important guy who is worth employing. I traced his history, this manager worked on strange projects and all ended in not paying the participants.
The project team is not interested in continuing the campaign so we have suspended the campaign for the 4th week.
And he told me he wouldn't pay any bounty hunters for it.Hired participants are not working properly.

He deserves red trusts so that people will be careful with the projects he presents here in the future.
275  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is forum reputation enough to influence mixers? on: December 04, 2023, 03:49:58 PM
This forum is not just an ideal marketing space for them, it is also to gain trust. You know that this forum has more established members with good technical backgrounds than other forum users.
There may be a lot of advertising space out there, but I doubt if a mixer could make it big without including this forum in their journey.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: ($500 to $1,000 for One Week!) Now Hiring ~25 Experienced Campaign Managers... on: December 04, 2023, 12:41:53 AM
1) N/a. I have experience managing 2 to 3 community groups in the past (more deals outside the forum).
2) $300(to be readjusted in the future). I just wanna be a complementary team here, that doesn't mean I won't be excited. Just adjust the tasks I'll handle to my salary rate in this application.
3) Yes. The level of coding knowledge isn't that much especially for smartcontracts. But I've taken programming classes, so I know algorithms. Learning new things doesn't seem difficult if I have to. Wink
277  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Im TIRED of SCAM exchanges - is there an verified list on: December 03, 2023, 09:08:12 AM
the problem is most of this exchanges are listed either on  defilama

ore  other several known crypto informative websites

for example coinmarketcap

also cryptocompare.com
They're simply aggregators who dont selectively list exchanges worth using, their verification based on their customer reports (although a bit too late to raise a warning flag). You should never use sites like that as personal recommendations.
278  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PNNV.com - Major update #2 - need your review, again! on: December 03, 2023, 08:38:34 AM
I do wonder if this setup is for good or still part of the maintenance/temporary though.
PNNV is now shifting exchange service completely, so it will keep on the front page. No more live price monitors, I think the reason is that preev is back.
279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you sell your bitcoin to blackrock? on: December 02, 2023, 10:47:14 PM
Will you simply give it away once someone hands you $100k, or decide that it's cheap and they know more than they're willing to share?
With current market conditions? I'll be realistic, I would sell it if I could possibly buy it back somewhere else. Tongue I think this will also be done by average holders without thinking hard.
OP's question actually also tests how greedy the answers will be.
280  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CZ officially bids goodbye to Binance. Will Binance Crash or still stand Strong? on: December 02, 2023, 10:35:45 PM
Now I withdraw all assets on Binance and move them to other markets
You are over interpreting this case, I don't think this has any correlation with the security of binance so you have to empty your balance elsewhere, it costs you withdrawal fees.

There are local exchanges that are way terrible than Binance and that's why even the locals, they use Binance instead of their very own local exchange.
Using Binance is like holding a spear. Binance actually has the most complete trading features, but Binance is rejected by regulation in my country. You can use the sharp tip to get something, but you have to hold the stick in the middle (standing in the gray area).
